Zerg Wars 2. All of the clever mob design goes to waste because I’m just here to spam 1 while I drink my coffee.
I dislike the direction that the Living World is going in for several reasons.
Zerg content: Massive amounts of players spamming auto attacks in a laggy and boring environment is not a fun execution of ‘Living World’ to me. Examples of this would be Scarlet’s invasions, Queen’s Pavilion (not gauntlet), Mad King’s maze champions, new Tequatl (large amounts of players just show up and go afk, ruining it for everyone else).
Scarlet: She doesn’t seem very frightening as a villian and doesn’t seem to add anything to the current lore. I’d rather the LW draw and build upon in GW1 lore instead of go in a direction that involves scarlet uniting different enemies with no real motive.
Rewards: Queen’s Gauntlet had nice rewards but was overly nerfed in my opinion. Main pavilion area farming was alright. Scarlet invasions loot was nerfed too much and the Aetherblades gave a disproportionate amount of loot. The new TA path is quite long and I don’t think 2g is balanced, though many of the other dungeons have questionable amounts as well (SE p2 1g, HOTW p3 1g, etc, Arah p3 1.5g, etc.).
CC/Condi Spam: This is mainly directed towards aetherblades but some other mobs fall into this category (Mummies). I enjoy mitigating CC and Conditions (preferably through dodging) but some of the aetherblades for example are in my opinion over the top when it comes to CC/conds. I would like the attacks to be diversified a bit more; the cc/condition ones to be put on cooldown in between other well-telegraphed attacks.

The good: I thought Queen’s Gauntlet (excepting annoying camera and nerfed rewards), Molten Facility and AR weren’t all that bad. The new TA path is quite interesting also – but the unskippable ‘cutscenes’/dialogue are annoying, as is the overemphasis on NPC aggro (generators, oozes, electric floor room). I want content that has interesting mechanics/enemies that is preferably instanced to prevent zergs from occuring (they ruin all enjoyment of the game for me). The daily rewards for resealing the Bloody Prince are also good I think though the fight itself is quite boring (no real mechanic except standing on the candy corn puddle and spamming auto attack on prince…). I also like the champions in Mad King’s Labyrinth, they are quite cool in a small group; I would prefer it if they were in an instanced dungeon instead of a lag-fight with massive particle effects in 60 person zerg.
Is Anet ever going to make world bosses or at least most of them even harder such as Tequatl? i mean yes if you farming champions maybe a hard boss will consume your time but is too bad the fact that a gigantic boss can be killed in less than 7-8 mins (sometimes even by just AFKing) when you were expecting an epic and fun battle!
I welcome you to attempt meleeing Statue of Dwayna by going AFK. It’s actually quite an interesting fight when you aren’t in a group of 100 people. In fact I want Statue added to Arah exp mode!
I also had this issue multiple times. So far I’ve only seen the animation bug with Malchor’s Tears. Dodging high damage attacks like that one are extremely important, and animation glitches prevent that from reliably happening.
The particle effects, especially in zergs are over the top at the moment. I think many champions such as Lyssa/Dwayna and the new ones in the Mad King’s Labyrinth are interesting, but when I have to strain my eyes just to make out which part of their body is their head (and often fail) it’s just not enjoyable.
Grenth room very fun indeed.
Yep, same here, clearly 3-4 bags at end chest OP and needed nerf.
Nothing more satisfying than opening a chest and seeing zero rewards.

1.) Dungeons and Fractals
2.) Jumping puzzles
I live in NA but play on EU and I rarely get any lag.
Dub is right, EU supremacy.
Being good covers so much more than just being able to dodge.
I’ll take a duo arah path 2 run of a mesmer and a warrior.
What the mesmer has to take care of:
-not get into combat anytime before reaching belka
-using warden on one of the two defilers at the end of the tunnel
I want to be that good.
So many misplaced commas…Thanks for sharing your point about criticism being listened to better if it’s done in a constructive way, but that was pretty hard to read.
Also, this really sounds like a dev crosspost from a thread a month ago. On further investigation that thread is now deleted? Wonder why.

TA p1-3 – Temporary content. In come aetherblades now.
I get quite a bit of delay for parties to show up when clicking through the different dungeons to search for groups that persists even when there is no loading icon beside the dungeon name, which is unfortunate because there’s no option to show all LFG across all dungeons similar to GW2LFG, so you get a delay once for each dungeon…= >1 minute ‘waiting’ for groups to appear.
I need an ascended crafting panel to refine mithril faster. Gem shop item anet pls.
Wow I want FGS utility on warrior :P
I think there’s a bit of a difference between standing a little closer to him than max melee range and standing inside of him against a wall. But I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s abusing wall.
Wall of Reflection OP
I’m not sure why the projectiles aren’t appearing for you – maybe you are standing close to him? In any case, by the time you see the projectiles it’s probably too late to dodge anyway unless you are ranging him. Him raising right paw = dodge for patriarch swipe. Him putting his hands on his face = dodge for the AoE projectiles.
It’s crit damage that gets completely butchered, not crit chance.
Does anyone have tips for how best to corral him in phase 1? Every time I try to push him to the wall he slowly gravitates towards that godkitten door to the right and then I have to pull him back away or else he’ll reset.
Also, kitten it.
I find it easier if you try to stand towards the edge of his red target ring as much as possible while still forcing him to move, and when he moves such that you are outside of the ring, quickly move just inside it again and repeat until he does his next attack (take care if it is kick). If you stand towards the center (directly under Lupicus) I find he tends to move in wild directions and stops moving to perform his next attack sooner.
Thanks. I was having some issues with phase 3 life drain; normally I would use Turn About hotkey, Autorun, then double dodge but for some reason a couple times that wasn’t working (the camera didn’t rotate). I don’t think I had my middle mouse button pressed down or was using any movement keys at the time but I guess it was possible.

Over 10% total damage increase isn’t a lot. Ok. I’ll take your word for it.

Except underwater parts :P
I was able to double click my MF ascended rings and select a stat for them. Though I wonder, for the ones that are uninfused version, what happens if I try to upgrade them in Mystic Forge to Infused Version, with or without stats set yet.
I’m curious as I am not able to log in just now. Does your new ascended ring keep the unique name it had or does it change to match the new stats? And are they account bound like they say the armor becomes or are they still soulbound?
Two offensive ascended beserker rings!?
It keeps the unique name. I actually didn’t equip any of my magic find ascended rings so they were all account bound to begin with, but once you select stats for them they become soulbound.

Completed 7 invasion so far, of which 4 were successes…EVERY time scarlet melted in 10 seconds and by the time the nearest WP loaded for me she was already dead. PLS fix this is ridiculous
The person who fought right before me got dropped out of the arena (floors swung open) because they took too long. I was queued up with 5 gambits to fight after them but I fell through the floor when I was placed in the dome. I should not be falling to my death because the person before me took too long.
This is still bugged after patch; now instead of actually placing the player inside the arena with oozes, I am stuck queued outside forever (I got the message “You are up next” or whatever but then i didn’t get ported inside the dome where still oozes remained). This is unfortunate because I had 5 gambits up too which means 6 tickets lost =/
This bug is really irritating, right now in my overflow all domes have invisible tornado bug, every fight people go into they are constantly knocked back by invisible tornadoes and nothing they can do about it unless they have something like perma stability..
I also had this problem a little while ago. Agent Spire died while inside a crystal and after Alpha died we encountered the same bug.
Hi, I was in Mount Maelstrom right near Bard’s Waypoint fighting the risen. A rotmouth spawned on top of my character and I was unable to move as I was stuck inside it (eaten?). I was obstructed from all the monsters as the rotmouth was between me and them (and unable to port as in combat). The only way to get out was to keep moving my camera until I was able to target the rotmouth from the inside and kill it. I assume this is a bug but might be a feature (rotmouths eat people?)
