Personally, I believe the best advice you could possibly get is: make your build yourself. The difference in feeling between a build you have hand-crafted to fit your playstyle and a build you copied is really incredible. Sure, you can run a build that is proven to be 8.3% more effective than its next-best popular counterpart, but you will, more likely than not, spend a lot of time lying on the floor in quite severe humiliation. Dont be afraid to experiment, and keep looking until you find one that you like.

Then again, nothing wrong with some inspiration, heres what I run:

30 II X XI
10 V
0
10 II
20 Situational swap between III VI VII VIII IX X

Axe+Shield / Longbow.
All items berserker.

Legendaries gifts crafted from 400 to 500

The gifts that we need to craft within crafting professions has to be upgraded from 400 to 500 in order to keep in line with the ascended weapons and the same stats. Lowering also the legendaries supplies and increasing their price and rarity.
Anet can’t upgrade legendaries skins without keeping the crafting gifts required in line with the new tier system.
Best part Anet, it requires to modify only one line of coding per gift to make the change. there are 3 days left before the update implementation : you have very enough time to do it : it’s all about balance and keep in line the legendaries with the ascended stats upgrade.
You can always thanks me for pointing you out what you missed.

I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career . . .

Precursors on the rise AGAIN

They will make precursors craftable soon. The problem will be addressed then.

Yes, I completely agree, the problem of players being able to craft legendaries is on its way to being fixed.

My prediction: Players will do amazing new content to get amazing new crafting materials, then sell them to grab their precursor from TP.

To avoid an empty rage post, here is my idea: The idea behind legendaries was that youll need to do participate in all aspects of the game to earn one, thus the need of badges, dungeon marks, karma and skill points and not just gold. But you could easily get all those by the standard gw2 method: grinding. To avoid it, rather than time delay on making the mats, make a category of legendary achievements, lets say 10-15, from all corners of the game, and upon completing all of them, they all reset and you get one precursor claim ticket.

Up-to-date examination of warrior weapons?

There are several points of view you can take on this issue:

1) Tryhardery – There is no beating 30 0 0 10 30 axe+mace/gs in raw melee damage.

2) The Look – Axes in general are fugly, with gs you can grind towards twilight/sunrise. Nobody gives you s**t about your build when you carry a legendary x)

3) Versatility – With a GS build (25 arms) you can swap forceful greatsword for crack shot if you are expecting to stay ranged during most of the fight, also increases dps of underwater weapons.

Hello,
I’ve felt it’s about time I did my share in improving the game, so here it is.

1) Living Story. I have to say I’m not quite happy about the recent development. With Dragon Bash and Bazaar of the Four Winds there seems to be a common trend : they are completely random and unrelated to the rest of the GW2 world and story. You already have a great world, amazing terrains, interesting story and background, why not build on it when introducing new content? With the Labyrinthine Cliffs it’s obvious you are becoming good at the execution, but the ideas are lacking. New zones are great, but there is no reason for them to be so disconnected as Southsun Cove or Labyrinthine Cliffs. Living Story happening in the already existing world should, in my opinion, take a different approach too. The Flame and Frost story had great ideas, but poor execution. Like I said, you already have a great world at your disposal, so make something happen in it. Make the dredge or centaurs or icebrood take over some cities, build some new fortifications to conquer. Having a few zones modified a bit more to accommodate the Living Story will hardly impair any leveling, with more than one zone available at each level, and will give players reason to return to familiar locations.

2) How to make the Living Story more interesting without introducing random stuff like the Bazaar or Dragon Bash? Simple : conflict. It’s well known that leaving 20 people in a closed room, with 10 of them having a different shirt color than the rest results in bloody murder. Make factions, have people pick sides and compete as part of Living Story. Dragon Ball and Sanctum Sprint are great examples that there is high demand for competition other than standard PvP. Maybe make a set of world bosses for each faction and see which one kills them first? Then have the Living Story conclude differently based on which faction won.

3) Races of Tyria. If you are not comfortable with creating new factions, make the Living Story revolve around the races. For example : with the playable races already taking up a lot of Tyria, there isn’t much space for the minor races. History teaches us that simple greed and territorial expansion are reason enough for genocide. Or maybe try development between the playable races, have two-race cities in the new zones and see what combinations are liked, then burn the ones that players dislike in the next update.

4) Give players more control of the direction in which the Living Story is heading. Before you commit to certain scenarios, prepare just rough concepts, let’s say three options, and have people vote on them in-game like picking a dungeon path the next time they log on, and after several days of voting get to work on the one with most votes.

5) Captain Ellen Kiel is a keeper.
