I think with all the flakk they are getting they will make a slightly discounted version for people who already have the game.
That would mean returning money, not gonna happen. However, giving people who upgrade bonuses and applying them retroactively would be at least a . . . . . . . . well, images of someone trying to tape shut an artery keep popping up in my head, I guess I got nothing.

You all are looking at this from the wrong perspective. We who already own the game are paying for the opportunity to take out our frustration with all the terrible development decisions on our hard copy with a hammer. For 45€ / 50$ absolutely worth. x)))
Yes, PS warriors, who were doing about 40% less damage than pure damage builds, got buffed by 25 to 30%. Everyone else can go reroll ele or thief.
Exactly the same story as with the stability change, someone at Anet getting paid the big bucks for figuring how to mess up warriors without making it too obvious.
In the April 24 stream (at 4:21:40), they promised to add old Inspiring Banners ( banner cooldown and area ) into the new Inspiring Battle Standard ( old Tactics GM, new Discipline Master ) but it didn’t happen.
As for warrior, two strong greatsword focused master traits were merged into one powerful master trait, but two weak axe focused master traits were merged into one weak grandmaster trait.
Previously, pure axe and pure gs (no phalanx) had similar dps, with phalanx build taking a huge dps loss in exchange for group might. Now, greatsword will have higher dps and group might both.
Ideally, I would like to see phalanx to be changed to simply grant group might on crit with any weapon and axe trait moved to master.
Comprehensive guide to winning every game mode:
1) Find a team of warriors.
2) Find a pack of stray cats and some very durable keyboards.
3) ???
4) Profit.

Very informative read, thank you for posting it here. While I commend your effort, the truth is that the topic has been beaten to death over and over and over and over. It turns out that it is quite futile to discuss the lack of communication with someone who only listens to what he wants to hear.
Interesting to see how easy it is to get some data about the playerbase. Too bad ANet can’t be bothered because . . . reasons.

If you use greatsword and axe+mace both, you want to use GS2 on cooldown and axe1 inbetween, necessitating the trait fast hands. This trait cannot be acquired if you go for dual wield agility and camp axe + mace/sword.
Your passionate defense of your build clearly suggests you are having fun with it. That’s great, good for you, have a nice day 
However, you came here to ask for thoughts on it, and those boil down to “bad damage”.
Since their damage is similar, I was commenting on the difference in playstyle, guardian having more active defense and warrior more passive defense.
Personally, I die more often on guardian than on warrior when running pugs, maybe I’m just bad 
Well you said you hate the warrior meta but only focused on the fast hands build. When I get tired of pure axe I go pure gs and back.
If you want a reason why your build underperforms, it’s the ferocity change. 30/0/0/10/30 used to be old meta before the critical damage nerf.
Also, no solid PvE build anywhere ever will involve the sigil of intelligence.

I lived under the impression that 6/6/… pure axe or pure gs had both a little higher dps than old a/m? Maybe less vuln?
Also, I read that burst skills first spend adrenaline, then hit.
Even if I’m wrong though, it does not make you build any good, sorry.
If you run organized, active defense is king, go with guardian all day every day.

Has global warming ever had a conversation with anyone? This is the difference between a concept and a tangible thing. The gods of Tyria are tangible, or were when they actually hung around. Global Warming is a concept that is difficult for some people to understand, because it’s not tangible.
If I choose to believe that you are not real, then there is nothing whatsoever that you can do about it. Conversely, nobody denies the existence of war, justice or love, despite not being tangible. Food for thought

the people saying warriors are terrible are just drama queens, they’re pretty fine for all game modes.

This.Warriors are used in a lot of top pvp teams as well in EU as in NA.
They are part of nearly every PvE-Record run. I think arah p2 is even without the so much hated and boring PS-Trait.
Their personal DPS is still ahead of necromancers,mesmers,guardians and pretty equal to rangers, allthough they offer better buffs.All I read are the same dramaqueens over and over again. They either complain about not beeing viable in PvP because they want to play their weird Greatsword-WvW-builds or they complain about that they’re not able to reach 60k+ 100b at magecrusher anymore and the godlike elementalist would be so much better. Anyway, because the warrior had better daaamaaatsssch one year ago, ofc he has to be bad now. I mean engi,thief and ele are ahead, thats ofc dramatic.

Ruby Orbs have never let me down with their amazing advantage of costing 15 silver a piece.
Of course we are fine, but with the negative power creep, every class gets nerfed all the time. You need to play up the drama and pretend to be a three-legged puppy with two lame eyes to avoid getting hit by the nerf bat even harder next patch.
It’s easier to handle because fractals have lower dimensions . . . .

If lower levels means too low for Warrior’s Sprint (Discipline Trait III) then Axe / Warhorn for swiftness.
They do not buff skills that are underperforming to avoid power creep. But the nerfs keep coming. Eventually, something else is found more effective. And it gets nerfed. As a result, we get negative power creep, everything gets overnerfed, every profession unhappy. Mission accomplished (:
Allow me to present a summary of how warrior is being “balanced” :
Berserker’s Power: This trait has been moved to the Grandmaster tier.
Heightened Focus: This trait has been moved to the Grandmaster tier.
Empower Allies: This trait has been moved to tier 2.
Skull Crack: Increased the cast time from .25 seconds to .5 seconds. Updated the animation and effects of this skill to be more clear.
Earthshaker: Reduced the damage by 20%.
Staggering Blow: Reduced the damage by 23%.
Arcing Shot: The damage of this skill has been reduced by 15%.
Merciless Hammer: Damage to stunned and knocked down foes has been decreased from 25% to 20%.
Healing Signet: Reduced the passive heal by 8%.
Pin Down: Added a new warm-up effect. Increased the cast time from .25 seconds to .75 seconds.
Increased the adrenaline decay rate when out of combat by 100%.
Adrenaline now begins to decay the moment combat ends.
Hundred Blades: Lowered damage of initial strikes by 5% each. Final strike remains unchanged.
Whirlwind Attack: Lowered damage of each strike by 5%.
Signet of Rage: Reduced duration of might, fury, and swiftness from 30 seconds to 25 seconds.

I’m against this idea. The uniqueness of Eternity comes in part from its association with the day/night cycle; remove that and you have sunrise (or twilight), with a few tweaks.
If you could switch between always day, always night and current state, you would not really be losing anything. Or is there some reason why you feel like other people keeping their weapons always in one state would negatively impact you?

Are you sure the issue is unique to warrior? Maybe you are just used to pet tanking. My advice is to pick your battles, if you are lvl 14, you items lvl 10 and you run into three lvl 17 mobs, then you deserve what is coming your way.

Healing Surge and Healing Signet both have it’s advantages. Signet of Fury is something that never leaves your bar, if you have trouble solo take two defensive utilities out of the following: Shake it Off, Balanced Stance, Endure Pain, Dolyak Signet, Signet of Stamina.
Most people take just one defensive utility and that is Shake it Off, because it’s very versatile, condition cleanse and stun break both in one. If you take two I would recommend dolyak / stamina.
Do you play PvE or PvP? These two are completely separate in GW2.
For PvE: If you spec 100% healer you will have an extremely hard time looking for dungeon groups. If you want to faceroll everything all the time, roll double guardian, equip greatswords, profit.
For PvP you are upleveled to 80 right away. The playstyles you are describing, you are looking for Shoutbow Warrior + Power Ranger, www.metabattle.com.

The first time I heard Braham call me “boss” I was like: “This is MY party? You’re fired.”
Tiami, Marjory and Kasmeer are ok, though Kasmeer could sometimes opt for non-seethrough clothes when we are heading into battle.
Would be really awesome if we could decide who we have in our party, since it’s all instanced now anyways. Pretty certain it’s not gonna happen though, since it would mean actually giving players meaningful choices.
My win conditions:
-Kick a legit Arah p4 seller.
-Make a player lag out using skill point scrolls.
-Find a dead player near the end of a difficult jumping puzzle, strike up a friendly conversation, revive him to 99% then stop, laugh and walk away.
-Get someone who doesn’t deserve it permanently banned.
On a more serious note, it’s probably about the little victories, like killing a dungeon boss as the last man standing, rather than any long term goals.
I bet the asura give dumb children the Spartan treatment.
The Spirit of Hare keeps them safe, duh.
PvE is often about killing your target before it kills you. My guess is that you use garbage weapons (example mesmer scepter) and thus kill very slowly, which means mobs kill you first. Look up some meta PvE builds and notice what weapons they utilize. YOu can then visit the mists via the PvP tab and pick up a white quality weapon of the desired type, which will often make a huge difference in the very early levels.
If all else fails, reroll guardian, equip greatsword, spin-to-win, profit.
