thanks obal for the costructive reply, i already have war so i know how to play melee, the problem is that with ele i cant switch weapon if some ‘not melee’ mob is coming, for example with war i have greatsword and longbow and i will switch if need, but with ele dd i cant change wepon cause i’m in combat, and if i will go close i’m oneshotted

r u serius? 80% of boss if u go melee will shoot u, and stop with that useless “bad player” and stuff like that

where? try to be close to some boss or mob and u r oneshotted…. i m dont talk about orr farming…

first game that hate melee players… some classes can switch weapon and use one ranged and one melee, i love to play ele dd and i can do anything for keep playing with that weapon, so i have to use staff and i hate it… pls do something about that

1vs1 in hotjoin is not duel, is hotjoin, we dont have duelling in this game, and i’d like to have it…
some other option for spvp player will be apreciate, not only new maps for teams..
spvp need some fresh news with different number of player, and “solo” career…

today no spvp for me, tomorrow will be the same… too boring….. we need some solo stuff, 2vs2 or something else competitive, to allow ppl to play also without team… only few ppl have a team, for the others only pug mode… in the last days also find ppl shouting mists is hard…
it’s also no sense pvp atm, no qp, no tickets, i love to play only for fun, really, and must be the way, but how can i have fun with the same game mode? ppl love to show to others to be the best player, and now only good team can show it, but solo player cant…
also with qp you cant tell that the first is the best player, you can just say that he play with a good team

you should deny ppl to play all the same classes, and like i said if something not working you can make some buff or stuff like that, the point is to give 2vs2 or 3vs3 campture the poin, capture the flag or death mach doesent matter

i agree with you, i hope that anet will wake up quickly cause play in a game and getting bored is no sense, and make ppl quit the game and lf other game :/

not need really 1 year for do something like that, i mean, at beginning they should use the map that we already have with only the mid point for less player, they should do that in 1 day… make other 2-3 map for 2vs2/3vs3 just with mid point and some buff maybe, they should use the temple and the forest with only the mid point active, and they should have already 2 map ready for play.
they should create a new 1vs1 team paid tournament with 2vs2 and/or 3vs3 with other kind of point (something like qualify point) or ever with qp doesent matter

As for random dudes. Matchmaking has solved this. I play with randoms all the time in paids and if they are bad then we play vs equally bad players so its fine.

I solo queue frees and the 4vs 5 problem has become problematic since now less people play frees because everyone realised how bad a 8 team tournament was compared to a quick 1v1 tourny. So the queues last longer and people dont unreg when they shut the client down and go to bed. This means you end up with 4 dudes vs 5 and its hard to win esp as all 4 man teams are just random solo queuers usually. .

do you think that i never tryed? i have a lot of friends sometime you can make a team but happen too much that most of them is offline, someone is already in group etc etc and is hard do play good….
you talk about machmaking, but the numbers is not the truth, there is too many farmers that have high rank and alot of qualify point but they r noobs, and ppl that doesent have alot qp and rank but is good…
so everyday is the same story, 1-2 friend online and avalaible and then lf pug, or just join some pug team… i think that anet should be make something that need less ppl, like other game… i had played some games with 2vs2 3vs3 and is really funny and more easy to make groups…

if you dont have a premade team you have to jump to other party, lf random, and hope to dont found noobs (rank and qp doesent mean anything, if u have enough time you can farm both) is no possible have fun, no possible be competitive if u are alone or with 2-3 friends, cause u EVER need to be 5 ppl
i dont care about pve, in those days i will join only for daily pvp and then leave, cause i’m really bored to play with pug….
i’m not the only one, you can see in the mists how many ppl lf group and this mean that something is not working good
this is also bad for hardcore player cause at the end will be only 5-10 hardcore top team that will play ever vs the same team, for the mm and also cause many ppl cant grow up in the game for many reason

i think that anet should be make something for smaller group, also competitive stuff… it’s a game and a goal of all the games is to give FUN and in this moment they miss this primary goal

i love the combact mechanics, so pls do something about that, i wanna a game that allow me to join see my friends online and play, if they are not online or only 1 or 2 is on i wanna be able to do competitive stuff also with him without pugs… join play and have fun, that’s all… not join then lf random and hope to found good players, hope to dont be frustrated from noobs that waste your time and tickets, hope to play with guys that u wanna play and dont be forced to lf other unknown guys

rank in spvp is really slower, but i like it, there is only a problem imho, its really hard for bunkers grow his rank cause the point system doesent give him the same point like Others (example roamers)… i dont like hot join, should be help for some experiments but i dont wanna spend my time there, but in tournament i do usually few points as bunker

so where is the problem?
the problem is when ppl asking rank and you r not 50 someone think that u r a noob without give u a chance to play…
and is also unfair for the styles, cause i have to spend x3 x4 playing times for reach the same ranking point as other role

i think that anet should be make something for allow ppl to play competitive stuff with solo or duo queue, is not a bad idea there is a lot of ppl that have life, cannot play during the night etc etc..
hotjoin is BORING and queue frees solo or more (not team) should be cool for short time so ppl can’t enjoy the game

maybe other mode, with other “point” if u want qualify point only for pro teams, ok no problem, make something new like “donkey point” but atm is frustrating for ppl that wanna something of competitive but dont have (or cannot have) team

i saw enough topic ppl who asking that, ppl who wanna duelling etc etc… anet should give a solution for all that ppl, no excuse…

i think that spvp have a lot of potential, but anet have to give us more, like deathmach, capture the flag, duel, better lfg/lfteam 3vs3 etc etc soon as possible.
i understand that they have other priority, and they dont wanna give all so soon in one shot, but other game already have it, and a lot of game is free to play…

duelling is funny, i hope that they will introduce something like that with some feature (rewards or something like that) for make it more interesting

tell me why… i think that is really competitive, i had played in other game something like that and is very funny (not only for me), and this kind of pvp can also stimulate different builds, and u can play with less ppl, when is not enough player for 5vs5 paid.. so u dont have to be bored cause u dont have anything to do.. i’m playing only pvp but atm i dont have a team and cause i have a life i cant play in the night, during the day i dont have anything to do, some free tournament, but is becoming really boring situation..
i dont understand how u can say that is not appropriate if u dont know how to play that, i’m not talking about point conquering, but something like deadthmach, CTF… i’m happy that u know what 90% of players are thinking…maybe is the truth but is funny that someone can say something like that, that is no sense

i read the news about guesting, but i didn’t understand if the guesting works with fractals or not… someone told me (never tryed) you cant play fractals with ppl in other servers, with guesting is possible?

i hope they implement 2vs2 3vs3 etc in the arena, should be really funny!!

yes you’re right, for that 1vs1 2vs2 should be better.. i hope that anet listen us and make this game more playable… they writing that wanna do something not only for hardcore ppl, but atm paid is only for ppl that will play all the night till the sunshine… and this ppl is hardcore for sure..

isn’t a bad idea, but isn’t a solution for that problem, with a less cost more ppl should play tournament but ever in the night.. i have alot of tickets, the problems is not to use it… they have to do something for solve the “times” problem, to allow ppl to play competitive stuff also in the afternoon/evening… 1vs1 2vs2 (paid mode, i mean with tickets for join and qualifying point for winners) and maybe better rewards on tournament in different times should be helpfull

untill the release i had play spvp, with different ppl, hotjoin is nice at the beginning, then u go to play free tournament, you know ppl, try to made a team, all nice, then u wanna do paid… and that’s the problem… i cant play in the night, and usually all team do that, i really tryed to found other ppl that play in afternoon and evening, someone is pretty noob, someone is good, but you dont found enough ppl for do that, and if u found you have queue problem, too long.

so i cant do any serius paid/competitive pvp cause i have a life…
i’d like some new “paid” mode, maybe 2vs2 (less ppl, most chance to found other ppl that can play, and some ppl that have already a team should play this kind of tournament before play the 5vs5 paid)
but that’s only an example, if u have other idea will be awesome… just gimme a chance to do competitive pvp without playing night

i hope that custom arenas will support that, but i was talking about something more “official” that give to you qualify point like paid and ticket like free.

i’d like to suggest a new spvp official competition with a free and paid mode (like 5vs5 tournament)but with 2vs2 players.
i suggest that idea cause in another game i had tryed 2vs2 and was really funny, and is also more easy for people found just one partner for play, cause i see too many people dont have enough good player as friend for do a competitive tournament.
i think that will be awesome for all the gamer, casual (faster and easyer to fight and play and be more motivated) and also hardcore gamer (you have to be a better player without a big teamfight)

pls fix this bug, everytime that u do some update this bug will back again, is no possible enjoy the game… spvp is broken… i waste my ticked for paid because of that bug… need a fix soon as possible…
