where is pvp? team arena, ok and then? soloq is not pvp, its a tournament of luck, we need more mode, and also a real solo pvp 2v2 etc etc… i found this stuff in some free browser game!!!! how it is possible dont have it in gw2?!
alot ppl asked it and they never respond…
if we should have a good pvp variety i think the other thoughts will disappear

as the topic, i’d like to know when we will have something new… new mode, more skills (as necro i cant heal w/o be interrupted) the entire game have no real news, i play pve and pvp and till the last patch i dont play too much , 1hr per week, cause pve is just “stack on corner” and my real love , pvp is the same as the release, with necro nerfing (w/o old duhmfire i dont have any kind of burst, and in competitive team i cant play)
i’d like to chose a classes cause i like to play it and not to be forced to play cause of meta…
i think more kind of game and some balance it will help alot…. player will need some roadmap, cause alot of friend left the game, and i will not play it too….
so if u r gentle pls give us some info about future

hi folks, i think pve need a big shake for give us something more funny with some interesting progression, fotm is the gw2 pve endgame, i like the mistlock idea it was awesome, and i think every X fractal something important should change, for example from fotm lvl 50 till lvl 100 (for example) should be nice have some different fractal (new dungeons) for a larger party (like 8 ppl) with some different mechanism, not the usual stack and max dps, something more deeper (like some other games)

any idea is wellcome, lets give them something good to develop

me and some friends have a lag inside turnaments, i’m sure i dont have lag with my connections (my ping with google is around 28ms) i have skill lags, and sometime i cant stomp ppl i will do 2-3 times w/o stomping :S
also some friends have this problems…
dev know that?

Agree with u, soloq is worst then hj, so i dont play it anymore, and team is fine only with a full team, since release i didnt found yet other 4 ppl playing same time a bit skilled i hope in some competitive 2v2 will be easyer do something

gw2 is awesome because:
_wonderfull open world
_no need to grind for pve or pvp

gw2 have problem with:
_game balance, pvp and pve had shared skills and traits and this is make it no possible make a good balance for both
_spvp have more AI then pve (minion,spirit,clone etc etc)
_spvp have too many condi and cc spam for everyone, not really funny
_spvp have only 1 game mode and u can enjoy it only if u have a good team/friends
_dungeon it’s all about zerkers, corner, skip, 8 profession 0 differences needed
_dungeon dont have any kind of mechanism, just stack on corner and max dps

gw2 it’s like a 17yo football player with good skill he can be a champion or a big fail… time is running and this player is became old and the football team is think about sell him (alot of player is not happy about spvp and pve, many of them alot of friends had left the game for those reason, and i’m lf something more stimulating)

i’d like to see more diversity, more strategy we r running in a room to found a corner and stack up, then we will skip a corridor to found another room and stack again…. i wanna see more mechanism, i wanna se heavy tanking/dps in a part of room, a thief cloaked trick some machine then a mesmer make a portal then blink upstairs and carry all the team, i wanna se a hill with a turret with a ranged classes do some job and other classe do other stuff… more complexity, less oneshotting from both parts…. like other games…

Every class does DPS, yes thanks god. But they also gives boon, bring banner, give aegis, put down reflect, cleanse your conditions, knock down the boss, Stealth you through some hard skipping part, Blind enemies, put weakness on them, pull the enemies together. It’s not because you do damage that you can’t support, every team members have responsibility and bring utilities to the fight, just like trinity MMO.

And the shocking truth…

THERE IS NO “DPS” IN THIS kittenING GAME, IT IS NOT A ROLE IN GW2, THERE IS NO ROLES IN GW2 GET IT OUT OF YOU MIND

it’s not a DPS/Support/CC trinity like people claim, EVERY members bring damage, support and crowd control.

i see for everycontent “lf full zerker” and it works better then other…. why someone should chose one class or another? only for a different mode to do dps… there is no other differences… i’d like to see MORE differences, atm it’s a game for kids, i dont understand how is possible do u like play in a corner and skip contents in every dungeon… where is the fun? where is the mechanics? where is the differences between classes? boon and cc it’s a joke if at the end everyone have to do the same stuff…. just chose the best dps in the game and run the dungeon… they destory trinity, i love that, but now we are all dps and it sucks…. but the most important things is the mechanism… we dont have any different mechanism, its all about corners, max dps, skip mobs, and repeat…. like o told other games give a purpose to any classes, and dungeon “force” player to play smarter with different gear and different roles, a ranged one can really range some guys and make easyer the life of melee, “tricky” classes like thief and mesmer should be protected when other defend him to trick some machine etc etc…. i’m asking a deeper game, atm it’s a hack’n’slash and it was suppose to be a mmorpg

i dont understand why anet doesent focus on it, it’s pretty easy onestly…
microsoft had understood the start button is important and they will replace in the next update, so there is no blame for mistake, just give to the customer what they want…
1) you already make the death match and ctf arena you showed us in some streaming
2)you should split and remove all those ai from spvp
3)you should give us duel or 2v2

you can do all of this tomorrow… and make us happy… maybe the 3th point of my first post (classes and roles) its hard to do it faster, and i know you dont like it, but i think should be nice with the pve/pvp splitting

dont let pvp die, the “pro” players is ever the same guys, nothing is grown in those community, and alot of good players and team already left the game (ie team paradigm/curse) need a fast revisitation, something strong, not just a new game mode, we need an earthquake with our suggestions

agree with u, but onestly i like this combact system and i’d like to see a better gw i dont wanna surrender, i’d like to make some positive noise for fix all those problem, so lets try to be costructive, maybe they will speak with us and reply to our perplexity… not cause they are angels but cause we are money… but we should “fight” for have a better game asap… alot of friends had already left the game i dont wanna follow him… i think devs should do something asap otherwise pvp will be (already are) just another pve mode…

Hi everyone, i have some suggestion for this game, but i dont think they will do it, so i’d like to give it for the next release…

1) make different traits between pve and spvp

i play both with guardian, ele, war and thief, also play necro, engi and ranger in spvp… is not hard for player learn to play more classes or different builds (and we have to with all those meta change), make differences between pve and spvp will make alot easier the class balance, and u can focus on other stuff, like game mode… its pretty embarrassing have the same game mode since release (2 years ago)

2) different skill

when i face (or play) necro mm, ranger spirit, turret engi, it’s no player vs player but player vs AI… in pve u cant use them cause mobs will shot every companion, in pvp it’s absourd have those AI, i wanna challenge players not AI, if i wanna play vs AI i will do pve

3) classes and roles

i like the idea everyone can do everything, but in pve everyone go for max dps, in pvp there is alot of confusion, cause this idea should allow ppl to do what they want with one classes, but looking the fact it isn’t, cause all depends on meta, so we have to learn to play alot of classes (this is funny but for the wrong reason), everyone can spam condition, cc, dps, and now also stealth… i think condition should be for necro only, other classes should have one or 2 condi max, maybe stronger then necro but not everyone, stealth for thief only, but really less stealth spam, maybe he should be stronger, or with more resistance, but is not possible to be perma stealthed, it ruin the game, like all those cc spam we have..
maybe have classes more specific for some roles is not good for your advertising, but will make a better game, i mean, u can do for example a guard bunker, dps or burning condi one with a big burning burst, same for other classes but not every condi to everyone, alot of cc for everyone and alot of stealth for everyone, this is also a problem for be an e-sport its hard to understood what it happen with all those spamming

I would say its so fun seeing PvP players in fractals after they complained on how easy pve is.

Not that PvE is so hard, but i don t think pvp is either.

We could also call pvp players to kill the 3 wurms and tequatl. Few of them would surely be enough since they are so skilled.

P.S. being serious, 1HKo PvE system helps a lot gettng better at PvP also.
You learn to look for skill tells and evade them and to stay focused.

mind is different…. i play both pve (dungeons fotm lvl 50 etc etc) and spvp (rank 64, reached only with tournament, not hj) so i know both worlds…. in pve the goal is reach a goal like hight lvl fotm or farming some content, for farmin u should just hit much enemies as possible, and in fotm and dungeon u should just found a good corner to stack with others and know when to dodge, in spvp u have to know very well your class and others cause u have to take the right choice when u have an enemies, if u front an ele u should take a decision, if u find a war you should choose other skills… in spvp you have to coordinate with team mate, and first of all you should be motivated to improve yourself… i’ve found alot of ppl that told me “who care to win” this is not serius and ruin a game for ppl that wanna have a good pvp…. too many ppl stay on free point for cap it, when i say go they stay there for farm points… i should continue my list for hours… pve and spvp is different anyone can learn anything, but ppl purpose is different, and since the patch it was released, soloq it was destroyed

Since you consider spvp to be PvE, why bother anymore? I mean from Anet’s pov there are literal no financial incentive to keep the old guards (veteran PvP as they call themselves) by reverting any of these changes.

did u play soloq recently? if it is and u are a pvper, you shoudn’t need other explanation…. difference from hot join prepatch and soloq post patch is 0… what shoud i do when i dont have all team online?

for months people like you whine how Arenanet should get rid of 8v8 and now they effectively do that and you are complaining?.

If you want high level PvP form a team and if you can’t form a team don’t go QQing because you got placed in the nosebleed section.

i have a team, the problem is i’d like to do some real pvp in solo or with few friends (1v1, 2v2) its funny do that in a custom, but i’d like have a competitive mode for that kind of playing… i hate 8v8 and i dont care about hotjoin, i’d like to have a pportunity to do something competitive when i have a free time, also if friends are not online, the game was released 2 years ago, and we still have only one game mode…. other stupid game have more pvp option, but i like gw2 combat system and i like to play this game

it is possible make a binding tutorial for spvp before join spvp (solo and team)? like a istance for pve players, for explain them things like dont need to be 2 or more for cap a free point, explain maps strategy (orb, hammer, treb), explain u need to have 2 point for win and is not good rush everywhere etc etc
since the new patch all pve player make soloq like hot join, its really no possible have fun…. i cant esplain to everyone what they should do (i will but they doesent listen to me) so i suggest a binding tutorial for ppl under rank 50

hi folk!!
i was very lucky today, a free day for play gw2!!
basically i’m a pvper, so i’ve spend my day doing some soloq, then friends logged and we done some team arena… then someone had to go and i was came back to my soloq… alot of game done… some easy win, some one nice and funny matches like 500-495, and alot of pve random player that doesent know how to read the chat…
ok this is soloq i know, now is the news hot join, it’s all about lucky!! no problem, but i’d like to do some real solo pvp mode or 2v2… i mean if i dont have 4 friends online i’d like to do something competitive…
there is something about that on your roadmap? anyone have some ideas to suggest at anet?
onestly i’d like 1v1 and 2v2 there is alot of topic about that, i’d like to know from anet if they can share some info about roadmap and i’d like to read some idea from players

Imho is frustrating because:
4v5 soloq
Ppl play soloq doesent know how to play tournament and they dont follow easy instructions
Soloq its all about lucky to found ppl with some brain or knowledge
As ‘solo player’ u dont have other choice
Pvp have too much classes with daze stun know back know down fear and stealth, all those stuff should have 1/2 duration.. its really frustrating be permadisabled

I hope the will NOT implement, if u wanna fractal skin you should DO fractals is the pve end game it should be an ‘elite’ part… i m proud to use in pvp my fractal skin done with hundred hours of fractals, and also show my spvp title… and i dont wanna too much pve players on pvp, since the new patch solo q is became rubbish i was in top 300 and now i m out of the leaderboard cause of pve players that ruins my fun

i’d like to see duelling too, dear anet is not too much work to do

1) just make a queue like soloq and arena for duelling in the second door of forest of nifhel, with walls to the rest of the map (so u cant run away) or the middle of the new map

2) there is no other points cause your job is already finished and everyone is happy… i think u can do it in 30 minutes and make happy everyone

1)if is private u can do it only with your friends, and after a while will be boring playing everytime vs the same ppl

2)there is one pubblic custom arena “king of the hill” there is everytime a long queue for join a duel if u are 16 ppl or more waiting 2 spots is not really funny, someting like tournament its like click and go istantly!!!

That is such a terrible way to implement dueling lol.

Why?
No one force ppl to duel, this mode si already playable i will with some guildmates, but i d like do it with random.. i dont feel too much pain to duel ppl or some classes u know this when u queue up so u will prepare for that.. in my guild we done a duelling turnament we have ppl in top 100 the winner is a warrior? No it is an ele atm is out of meta but he is good and he found a good build for duel… one of the rule it was about no change the build during the turnament so he won vs necros engi thief hambow war etc etc.. i think ppl wanna play this game mode should do asap if anet will follow my idea.. and if someone dont like it just keep playing soloq or tpvp no problem…

it should be a funny topic, but it is first time i see 200 mb patch in a game delete something adding nothing lol
do some tourney with team and friends its still funny, but onestly there is no much fun play same game i played for 1,5 year w/o any little stuff to achieve, like earn glory for tome or something else…
onestly i didnt understood this patch… just delete stuff, spvp it was poor also before that patch

the real problems imo is the power of support, if mobs hit so hard u will need a real healer for compensate it, but they dont wanna do it, its fine for me, but this means the only real support is dodging system… so everyone dps and think yourself will ever be the best way… the only stuff u need as support is shield of avenger, wall of reflection, war banner, banner of discipline/strenght, feedback, timewarp, shadow refuge is nice for some part on fotm, but u can go full dps… there is no spot for bunker/support build, cause no one can support you as your dodge vs those mobs

if they redesign how mob hit you, and introduce some different mechanism all this should change…. my suggestion is drop down ALL dps from player and alot dmg from npc, then make dodge really slow recharge, and make it something special that u dont need to spam… so with lower dps we can kill anything, and we need some support guys for stay alive, and we know when dodge cause if we dodge in the wrong moment we dont have another one for a while, so its all about player skill and knowledge, and if someone make a mistake the support team mate can help us with some support skill/traits, w/o be oneshotted like now a full bunker will be…

whats the point if a full bunker have more or less same survivability of full zerker? cause 30k of dmg will shot everyone, or alot of mobs hit u for 5k x5 in 2 seconds.. so someone should say “dodge”!! ok i’m dodging but it means that i dont need any support guys, so everyone goes dps

my thought about the dps/useless support topic is really easy… anet can nerf dps as the want, they can also drop down 80% of our dmg, but the problem will never disappear if mob hit u 15k or alot of 5k in a few seconds… dps will ever be the best way…
no one need support team mate that heal you for 2k every 10 seconds if mob in those 10 seconds hit u for 40-50k… thats simply ridicoulus
its also useless if someone will go for full tougness/healing/vitality etc build and have more or less same power/precision/crit, survivability i have a full dps war and full support guardian, mobs/bosses will shot my war and guard w/o difference, and someone oneshot both… if i have to die i will ever choose the dps way cause the dps difference is huge and the real defence in this game is dodge, not toughnes no vitality no healing… dodge… so u can nerf all that u want but u will never change the dps way… u have to redesign pve fight, just changing the ammount of dps that mob/bosses do, slow down alot the endurance recharge dodge should be something special that u need for some bosses, and all dps in game should drop down, stop with that oneshotting or super shot that kill, no matter if u r zerk, cleric or soldier…

if u really wanna change this game this is the only way…

someone will hate my thought, cause they wanna farm everything they wanna feel pro doing big numbers or rush everything… but the truth is anet have to take this decision…. i love gw2 enviroment and gameplay, but this game is becoming annoying because you dear anet dont wanna solve the real problem

About pve

I play ele till bwe, i feel it really weak.. i play also war, guard and i know very well ( in spvp) necro and thief… the only way for do some dmg is lh and go full zerker, but u have a ridicoulus survivability in front of other classes, like thief but he canhide and go away… so whats the point about play ele? With my war i do same dmg but i have alot more survivability then lh ele.. and wtf i ele i dont wanna use conjured, i wanna use the elements force!!!!!

imo the elementalist for be competitive with other classes should have:

attunement cd rance beetwen 10 to 7
elemental attunement inside the classes mechanics not a traits
evasive arcana on 15 of arcana
base hp 16k

this change will make able to make more aggressive build w/o be too squishi, just like other classes… i dont think other classes need nerf, but ele need a buff for have same chance of others

so finally i’ve decided to left this class, is too underpowered in front of other classes, there is no point to play it on pve… i wrote alot of suggest (like others) but it seems anet doesent care or think ele its fine like that…. i already have guard and war, i’ve decided to switch my war as main character.. with him i can go full dps w/o any problem in any content, with my ele with zerk gear and bunker build (for stay alive) i have same survivability but i do 1/4 of damage doing alot of combos switching dodging blablabla with war autoattack i do more dmg, 100b, eviscerate, longbow #3 is better than every kind of ele combos (i’m talking about war but it’s the same with guards mesmer etc etc…)

there is no point to play it anymore, it hardest to play (i like that, you need skill to play it and i love it) but there is no benefits, i dont wanna do more dmg then other classes, but i wanna have same dmg and same survivability, and actually i have less of anything… i’m forced to play 30 in water for some nice traits and more hp, same on arcana for evasive arcana and elemental attunement…

someone told me on forum he can play 30 30 0 0 10 or something like that in any contents, i’ve just saw alot of ele spend more time downed than fighting… i’ve also saw alot of speed run videos, like to do cof in 47 seconds, all coe path in 20 min etc etc, all party full zerk, play on rally kill kill fast fast jump skip stack stack… i’ve tryed, it works with a good party, but i think it destroy the game, i’m not a farmer (i dont wanna be), i wanna play contents for have fun, sometime i’ll farm cause u will need gold in this game, but my goal is not have the powerfull pg on tyria with 50000 legendary… onestly there is no fun to play a no sense classes, when everyone in this game can do dmg and support better than you…. so if i wanna do some dmg will play my war, if i wanna support team i will play my support guard… there is no more spot for elementalists

you should just make another tab on hero panel “dungeon” with all dungeons path list, with a flag on dungeon done… no need achievement, no need strange or difficoult program code… just a flag that remind u what u’ve done… there is already something like that otherwise we will take the daily chest more than once, so just take that counter and write it on the new hero panel tab

i like my exotic skin and when i will craft ascended i’d like to trasmute it..
it is possible with trasmutation cristals, keep skin and rune from exotic, and take stats and new agony inf slot?

if the opener leave all will get out the istance… its not funny, they just need to unlink the opener to the istance, if someone is inside the istance remain opened, easy and fast… today for the 10000000 me and other 3 ppl was kicked out cause the opener left party… its no sense and make ppl ungry, i dont think its so hard for devs make it different, like others mmo

i’ts freaking annoying when i do all the dungeon and if someone kick the opener, or if he leave all the party will be kicked out… first game i saw this crap, the game is released more than one year ago, and we still have this crap, run dungeon spend your real time, and baang be kicked out for some stupid guys… why anet u keep release and work new stuff and u dont fix this one…. really i dont understand.. its annoying… isnt funny… you can write everywhere gw2 best game blablabla but u dont work on this EASY issue… remove the dungeon link with opener, like all the others games, if someone is inside the dungeon will remain opened… its so hard to do this? why will never got an official reply about that?
i dont care to have ascended stuff, new story every 15 days if i will join an istance and will waste my time for stupid guys… this is a big pve issue you should fix asap!!!

i’m still keeping my arcana and water… with low hp base water is a must for dont be downed all the time, and arcana just for evasive arcana… if they wanna give us more option they have to give use more hp and move evasive arcana on 15 of arcana three, so we can choose alot of build…
