I saw in wiki there is ring amulet and trinked with nomad, can be purchased on laurel merchant ONLY if you do some ls achievement, this is really disappointing! I hope anet will make it avalaible for all dont have fun to complete these anchievement and i dont understand why this stats are loked behind it

And how does it work blasting a water area for heal? Is valuable heal or what? I never understood this and how does it work with healng power?

As the title, anyone tryed the healer role? Any good build?

i hope the raid will be no long as hell, i mean, i’d like to have multiple istance but with less duration instead one istance of 5 hours (also if is possible do it splitted) because if there is no organized guild/party with different istance, you can play it with different teammate, otherwise you should pray the same party u done the first part will be avalaible for tomorrow and the day after

imho problem with temperst is overload, because it hold you doing nothing, when u activate it you do less dmg, less support, less everything, and it also increase the CD, imho it should work like shout, maybe less powerfull, but more istant, elementalist gameplay is always something like a pianist, faster, dinamics, now is like a dead, click and wait for ages

i hope they will change it before hot release something like:
when u are on attument after 5 seconds you can overload it w/o change the cd of this attument with this effect:
fire: firewave, it explote a wave of fire around you granting 5 stack of might 1 stack of burning on enemies on radious for 3 sec and doing some dmg
air: same as now w/o follow you, with istant effect
water: heal you and ally in a radius of 300 for X life
heart: hard as a rock, grant 7 sec of stability and 5 of protection

if something should be too strong, nerf it, the point is i dont wanna increase coldown and i dont wanna be unable to use skils when i overload the attunement

this is a big issue inside gw2 dungeons, so i hope designer worked also on this

less speed clear, more tactics and role

for example some bosses who:
_will take double dmg if no one is on 600 radious of player (so player cant stack)
_need to be cc every few seconds or he doesent take dmg
_it take dmg only from ranged attack, and he come to you, so a tank can kite him away from party, and healer can hold him up, and another one can hold the rest of the party

i also think they should split pve from pvp, there is nothing wrong on it, really, we dont care to learn the same classes in pvp or pve playing differently, so you can balance all classes w/o freaking up a gamemode

the should rewrite how healing power works, because he have to scale better with the full hp gear, so everyone can play good this role

i’m curious how the raids will be, because is something i was lf since the game was released, i liked the vale guardian, also if i hope other encounters, will work differently, with more dmg over time, and less oneshot mechanics, so the healer will be more usefull, because the healer cant save anyone downed, so maybe more dmg over time should be nice for have someone who should really care only to mantain party alive

overload an attunement its just a big loss, i think it should work as a shout, something happen istantly, and you can keep doing other stuff
why should i increase my attunement recharge rate for have nothing? if i’m in water and i wanna heal i will not click f2, i will dodge (evasive arcana) i will use my water skils, then i go another attunement and i do something else, and then i come back to water for dodge again and redo the healing skills, why i should be stock in an overloading doing be able to doing nothing in the meantime, and then i can go back on this attunement only after 17 seconds, same for dmg role

u can also see the pool, and forum topic, tempest is the worst specialization u made, the concept is nice, the developer has an awesome idea, really, but doesent it works, for be more practice you should active the overload as a shout, click and something happens, w/o the 17 seconds for be ready to back on this attunement, maybe make something less stronger, or give a separate CD to overload, i can make only one overload every 20 sec, so we cant spam it, but as elementalist, i will not wanna be pushed out an attunement for too much time, and as a player i dont wanna wait all the time the animation/effect of overload w/o be able to doing anything

1) clickwars2
this game need less click, or you should include a new mouse with the next expansion
pls allow to collect all luck with a right click or when we salvage something give us the luck directly to the account
champ boxes/bags too many clicks, open a champ box, you found stuff and bags, double click it again, go to salvage items and salvage useless stuff for refine material… i think it should be reworked

2) tome of knowledge, i have stacks of this, could u pls make it usefull for something else of levelling? you already demostrate (like ascended rings or other stuff) in this game is better dont delete anything because someday should be usefull, but the bank space cry, i buy new slots but the bank keep crying… now its turn of tome to have other utility, should be nice for masteries imho

3) fractal skins, ppl like me who have done fractals alot of time have in bank duplicate skins, could u make it sellable? i dont wanna be rich (yes i want but i dont ask it for this reason) i will be happy to sell it to vendor in exchange of something else (something usefull)

I saw alot of ele stuff nerfed, i undersood the dmg nerfing but i d like to se some healing buff, with the new content and new role i d like to have a conjure weapon like icebow with a ton of healing stuff like the druid have, it feels weak compared to druid, so should be nice put some healing buff with this dmg nerf for compensate the nerf

I m exited to be able to play all the classes using all their potentiality, for be usefull at party, different purpose and role will give alot of fun and make everytime we will do the content a new way to play it.
Alot of elitist will write (they already do) against this because they think only with speed run they can prove to be a pro, but the FUN is more important, who care about of your “pro videos” where u skip everythink and hugs the corner.

For the others who are scared about “waiting” they didnt really saw how every classes can switch role faster then other game, with the same character u can be a dps or a tank or supporter in 2 min, so group with your guild, friends or pug then if u need a certain role just change a trait and skils (maybe armor but are really cheap) in 60 second u done and u can play.

I feel amazing this new way to play gw2 because if u wanna do fullzerkcornerspeedmetapowa u can stil do all the content we already have, if u wanna explore something new you can do raid and high lvl fractal.

Have a choice is always amazing, and this time i think anet turned his game in the best mmo ever made, fun for everyone, casual, hardcore and speedrunner

The bigger issue with Windows 10 is that they seem to have killed the idea of turning off windows update or choosing not to install certain updates. That is actually the only real issue I have with windows 10 right now.

I use win10 on my rig, no issues, VPN’s are a godsend, f-secure is a nice anti malware/virus (the chief researcher has some nice TED talks on security tbf)

As for DX12

GW2 wont get any benefit from it, but something like FFXIV will, as thats a HEAVILY graphics intensive game, and its mostly for the AAA titles like… call of duty or some sports ball game.

Windows 10 pro costs 180€, 280€ is the usb version. Also, all W7 and W8 (8.1) can upgrade for free. After that you can do a clean install. So grab any hard disk that has a previous Windows version and upgrade it for free.
Price is not an excuse.

Disabling upgrades can become a big problem, specially for this new version and the the new way of how in the future the SO will get the new things. Is the obvious way.

Vulkan is yet to be seen how used it will be. It may become very famous, or as much forget as OpenGL. Devs have the same choice than you, and if they mostly choose dx12 (which is the most probable case) then you’ll be able to choose dx12 with all games, or vulkan with no games.

The last part is kinda false, you can postpone the upgrades with the pro version, even program them. The only thing you cannot do is to choose what do you want or don’t want to upgrade.

if u do the free upgrade you will have a “upgrade version” you will doesent have a win 10 key, but a generic key, so when august 2016 will come there is no info if u can keep win 10 or if u have to buy a new version (if u format, or change your mobo even if u have a retail version of win you can found this info in the ms community, MOD are say different things and MS doesnt told anything on that

anyway i dont care if other game are not made with vulkan because i play mostly with guildwars, so it’s the only game i care about

Seriously, the amount of saltiness and misinformation in you is beyond the normal.

Home edition is for people that don’t know advanced things about computers and SO. Some things are locked because without the knowledge of it people end up not upgrading their SO, have problems with connecting to internet, don’t have a proper and updated antivirus… Also it doesn’t bring some features that could cause problems, like dual boot, remote desktop, bitlocker…
Someone pro should not be looking for the Home edition.

What are the things locked in the pro version? I’ve seen a few posts about some assumptions in 8chan forums made by anonymous and they are all full of misinformation, lack of understanding and self-made theories.

in this topic i’d like to talk about the mats/gold farm who sorrounded the game till now, thanks to god, exotic are very close to everyone, and ascended is not impossible if u dont like to farm (like me)
now, i’m hoping the next legendary weapon/armor will be possible to gain just playing this challenging group contents, like fotm, or the other one (raids maybe?) so player who hate farm events, maps etc, will be not punished, but as other games do, u will earn good stuff doing hard content…
i’m not against the farmers, i mean, if someone like to farm something it’s ok for me, i dont wanna punish players, but i just hope to dont be pushed on it, because i just dont like it, i play since bwe and i dont have with any character, the map completition, i never tryed to make a legendary weapon, because of that

now i’d like to have legendary stuff for the chance to change stats when i need it, it will help with the challenging contents, so i hope to have a chance as “hardcore” player to earn that without the map/events farm

I think they should work on dx 12 and 64bit clientbecause it will improve gw2 and will also be the start for gw3

There is any chance for the double skin for became usefull or swtchable with other stuff?

trait and skill deleted and unlockable, the build tree was resetted too, and now i cant change back because i cant unlock again the skills and traits and if i try this is doesent work

The reality is everyone like to do different stuff, i m not saying to delete silverwaste and speedrun dungeons, or to rewrite the game for the holy trinity, is really fun when someone like me write “trinity” some guys will go in berserker mode and doesent understand anything else “this man wanna destroy my game” also if i’m saying i dont wannaput the trinity inside the game, so just relax and take it easy i’m juast saying i’d lke to go deeper in class mechanism with different hard istanced content, so turn off your frenzy and have fun

I m not lf trinity, and i m not lf gear treadmill, but this map/dungeon farming is boring as hell i m lf istanced hard content, and a game where classes have more role than dps, if u lke to farm i dont wanna ruin your silverfarm map, but i d like to have something more competitive with more different role for classes

I start this topic because i wanna go over the meta and trinity topic, i m one of many who like the trinity, and i was thinking for alot of thime this game lack of this.
Maybe is true, maybe not or maybe both, i’m start thinking the problem is the lack of content, in other games you have tiers of dungeons or they are the same but it scale difficulty when u became stronger, but usually u dont master them lke in this game because after a while u do other dungeons for have better rewards…
So we will get elitist on speed run, ppl will be kicked from istance etc etc, because everyone wanna do it faster as possible, elementalist war, guard, thief etc etc are fake profession, because everyone is become The Farmer, speed run everything make gold, farm maps etc etc
In other games i enjoyed the classes, the role, here everything are feeling like a way to farm, ppl even sell path!!!

I hope with HOT and specialization we should enjoy more the content without die under the “meta farmer community”

Problem is ppl do this dungeons for 3 years, i hate all this zerk stack corner meta, but i dont wanna stay inside a path for hours…
Other games have dungeon tier so after a while u do new content avoiding the old one or doing it less frequently, so the elitist will keep to lf meta, but normal players just enjoy what they are doing thinking to reach new content and new levels..

Imho the problem is not players, but the istanced content
I remeber the first time i ve doine AC story and Arah story, when the game was released and no one know how to play the game and contents i spent 4 hours each story!! We cleared all room, no skip, no stack no knowledge…

So now ppl are just farming stuff over and over without play any role except the farmer

I love gw2 but his game mode lack alot, pve is just for farmer, spvp is awesome but lack of kind of content after 3 years we will got only coinquest and now stronghold, www is not what i like so i dont spend word on it

In conclusion this game have a big potential but is runed by this stuff

I ve tryed for 30 min but onestly the dmg zerk snd condi it seems to suck, but i m pretty sure it s becaude im noob with this class.
Unfortnatly i dont have much time to play thiss weekend so if u can share the correct dps build (traits, weapon, legend and if there is some kibd of rotation) should be very appreciated, if u can do this with a builder is even better because is fsster for me to understand

What everyone is missing from the OP’s post is that he’s heading towards a type of trinity style of play…which is against what GW2 was designed for. Remember, all classes are supposed to be self-sufficient…that was and is the design choice, if you’re not happy with it, then perhaps……(you should be able to answer this yourself).

self sufficient for what? i know the anet purpose, but everything is done with OTHERS, except the personal story u do spvp, wvw, dungeons and world events with others, this game wasnt designed for have a dedicated healer, or tank, but this doesent means you can have different profession, for example direct dmg or dot, are different way to kill enemies.

the modify to the condi cap is a good way for have a chance to see something different and allow some profession to be different, but when i see every prof can have acces to everykind of stuff i dont like it too much….

i dont wanna limit playing style, i’d like to see profession with an identity inside the combat system, now i just see a spam of boons/conditions, i’d like to have more focussed classes…

i repeat, maybe there is a better way for make the classes more different, and give them finally an identity, and i think content is really important, i’m the one who hope to go out of all that full dps/corner meta, but maybe give a major identity and make less spamming boon/condition should help too

OP: Perhaps it’s how you’re playing your different classes, and not so much that they aren’t different.

I can pretty much assure you that a party of five warriors will function a lot differently than a party of a warrior, guardian, thief, and a couple of eles.

i know is different, but not like other games does
you wanna have this classes in dungeons only for the following reason:
ele=icebow + might/fury
war=might share/ banners
guard and mesm=reflect quickness, portal for mesm
thief = invisibility
ranger= spotter
necro = no one want the necro in dungeons

and ofc all of them for dps, that’s it, i see much more differences in other games….

i know i’ve forgot some little aspect, but this is the first reason you lf these classes in dungeons..

i’m not saying my way is the right one, and you are the evil, i’m just saying the problem is this classes doesent are too much different compared to other games, i think remove something to all classes (and balance the content) should give to them something more special.
maybe there is other way for this my purpose, and maybe they r better, but i think this is one biggest things…
