with too many mob/bosses i cant see correctly my dmg because the enemy gui is over the dmg numbers, should be nice have the possibility to shift this guy on another spot so i can see everything

so lets just avoid to salvage armor if is a big problem, but we can do it with the other stuff…. the big problem is the dust and the rings from fotm, i have alot of this and it will full all my bank space and isnt so funny… i’ve started to sell it but onestly make 4,95 silver each for an ascended drop is ridicolous… that ascended not “fine”…

about the mawdrey thats really insane, i’m a normal player not a farmer, i dont have fun to farm contents, so i hope they will make something about that more easy to achieve

I dont undrrstand why anet avoid this topics and why some player have alot of fear for change… we dont wanna change the game you have we just wanna have more option, in older content or only in the new contents if is more easy for anet… we just wanna have the option to play what we want… everyone is happy

What you want is for everyone to play with the option you prefer. Why do I say that? Because the game already allows players to use any build they desire in most PvE content. Yet, this is not enough for the “meta” critics.

Why not? Because they want to join any PuG and thus they (and you) want the PuG version of the “meta” to include whatever build they (you) like to play. In order for this to happen, gameplay would have to require that build. This would limit choice for all those groups that don’t choose to optimize.

Are you likely to see anyone solo holding a point in sPvP with a glass amulet? No. Why not? Because it is not the best option. Point holders have to survive to hold the point. However, in PvE, you can see groups completing dungeon paths in any gear they want to. Why do you want to change that?

As i’ve wrote i dont wanna CHANGE your way, i wanna ADD different way so everyone can play as they want, now i CANT do it wasting my time, i dont wanna play like a dumb, i wanna have content require something different, so NOW i cant play differently from zerk, its not a choice, if i have to spend double time for complete a content….

for the pve/pvp i was talking about istanced pve, pvp is different i know that

Anet wanted to move away from the Trinity, but they wind up making the game centered on playing 1 role (DPS)….

This game would be better with defined roles that had equal value in the game.

The Community in general agrees that the game is centered around DPS and how fast you can kill kill kill. Most groups will kick you if dont spec for the most damage, unless grouped with friends…

the fight mechanics in dungeons dont even require people specing differently from just pure damage potential… thats a shame.

Such a cool game to play, with only 1 role to play to be of any use.
There really is no point playing any other way. its a waste. Damage beats all.

When the Raid Dungeons come, i seriously hope Anet considers expanding the group roles, because I am tired of the DPS fest.

Dont get me wrong, I liked the DPS role in the trinity as well, but I also liked to play other roles in the game. Thats what makes it fun, is the ability to play more roles.

Imho have more options is ever better, content with dps meta, others with trinity, others different. .. why not? So everyone should play as he want….

i’m here for update, today i’ve done a lvl 50 with ele and i’ve dropped a sword, and i already had one in my wardrobe… si i will delete it :S whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy i’ve dropped a weapon skin already have :/

i agree with op, this game are missing something special, onestly i will log sometime for do some fractal, is the only pve content with some challenge…. i hope something good with raids, but i know i will be disappointed on it, i’ve partecipated on the “raid topic” but i’ve just saw devs avoid some argoument and make it grow others will be doesent change anything to this game… my opinion is devs doesent wanna make different content, with different purpose, but keep to make LS, farming events and zerk pve content… i love this game, but this stuff it ruin it imho…
i had real friend, in game friend and guild mate, left this game for this, w/o writing anything on forum, because “nothing will change” and they are right, because nothing will change

i wrote posts and topic trying to explain my opinion, someone have my ideas and others (meta and farm lover) will write to me as a devil will wanna change they beloved game, and say “why r u gonna play this game, just leave and play to another one” …. i wrote i wanna MORE option not only my option but its ever useless… and btw devs never say a word on this topics (mine or others)
i’ve lose any hope to see something more with this game, so i play when i want, then i will not play for a while, i’ve saw other game will be released (i hope) in 2015, when they will be i will buy and maybe i will never back there…. i’m tired to waste my time trying to make this game better…. i know i’m no one, but there is alot of “no one” like me

this is gw2 for me, i’ve chose this game because you are not forced to do something 24/24 7/7 for dont be a “looser” and imho they done it really good, but it miss some things other games have… you wrote alot of things and i have the answer for ALL of this but i dont wanna push the topic on this way, will be a neverending discussion i have my ideas and u have yours i dont wanna change yours, difference is ever good, that’s why i’d like to promote it also on gameplay, so EVERYONE can play what they really want, now isnt possible, alot of player say that in game and with alot of topics, so isnt only my feelings, maybe this guys played like me also to other mmo and they know how difference and funny is can play really different with a real different purpose

raids have to be developed by 0, lets try to give to all gw2 players what they want, ppl like u already have the entire game with this mechanics could we hope to have something different for the others?

For the majority of players in this game as far as I’ve seen fun= rewards fast.
Or better rewards. Or more rewards. That’s what people want in an MMO.

There’s absolutely nothing in this game preventing you from playing exactly how you want except your own vision and ideas.

The problem is – as you’ve nicely put it – you want to have your cake and eat it.

You want to play the gear and build that you like even though it’s not what is best for the encounter but still clear the encounter just as fast or nearly as fast as those who are specifically playing in order to do it as fast as possible.

If you play for the “challenge” then taking longer shouldn’t be considered a “waste of time” since it’s what you like and want.

Ultimately you just proved you want the same rewards speed clear people get with less work while roleplaying your favorite set-up.

There’s no right or wrong way to play the game- it’s the way you enjoy it more.

You can’t really expect the game to change and make what you like to play the meta now can you?

i just suggest to make the raids focussed on more mecanics as the example i’ve made some posts ago, so with this mecanics you can play berserker, condition, nomad etc etc, i really doesent understant why u wanna ppl play zerk only or give them a choice to do it as they want doing the same content in the triple of time you wanna punish ppl doesent have your cake… what i’m asking for is a game mode allow players to go deeper with classes and gameplay, as other games do, discovering all the professions faces…

with a new kind of mechanism for example (as i already suggested) some boss or mobs could take a max of direct dmg so be everyone full zerk will be useless, and someone should go for condi (with a different condi stack system) for example some condi like bleeding, burning cannot be applyed on some bosses/mb if your condi dmg is lower than X, so the man who will play condi doesent have to “fight” with the actual bad staking system, and if the new mechanics doesent allow player to be sustained only by his healing but will need someone healing oriented the party will be more various and the gameplay will be various too, during this fight someone with alot of cc could distract other mobs, or someone else can kite them etc etc or other bosses will take less dmg when melee (like a mesmer weapon skills) or when u r not running etc etc…. this is a game i’d like to play, more mechanics, more variety, not just go inside pack and kill, use some reflect and aegis ed win… this is COD not a complete mmo, imho its pretty sad to have a new game like gw2 with less mechanics than older game like others…

i dont wanna “destroy zerker” i just wanna have a content with multi gear and multi purpose…. inside the game there is alot of stats, but u will choose only zerk and ptv for other contents… non offence for anet, but i think they wrong something when they had develop dungeons and pve, otherwise why create alot of stats? i never saw all that stats combo in a game, but i will use only 2 (or 3)…

Because no matter how much “variety” there is in the game the bottom line is people will always use what’s best. Because they care about efficiency and getting good rewards fast.

There are many sets in the game and many of them see use in sPVP, WvW and niche areas of PVE.
But for general usage people go with whatever works best. Replacing zerker with something else is the only thing you can achieve by “changing the zerker meta” because in all honesty “multi gear and multi purpose” sounds good in theory but in reality you only want the gear that allows you to get the loot in the easiest and fastest way.

You can’t have multi-purpose in an environment where the only purpose is to obtain rewards.

so why use zerker? use nomad and go to do dungeon in gw2 the gear “support” your build/skills, there is no way to use a full dps weapon and traits with nomad,rabbid,soldier etc etc stats, because it will not work properly….

Nomad is perfectly fine for dungeons – you can run dungeons in nomad and complete just fine.
The issue is that I don’t run nomad in dungeons because I don’t want them to take long. I want my dungeons quick and easy so I can get my rewards. So naturally I’ll use whatever gear gets me that.

It’s not about the gear not being viable – it’s about my choice as a player.

if no one will give you a powerfull support, maybe one of zerk will go for a support builds+support weapon+support gear, changing his role and his purpose in a full support man

So basically you want the encounter to force someone into the “healer” role but simply didn’t explain it like that.

A full zerker player with traits and skills built for support isn’t a DPS with some support. It’s a full support player that can also keep himself alive without requiring gear that helps him do it.

Full support / Half Support / No Support in this game is determined only by traits and skills.

Also the condi thing exists in the game already – but the CC thing – you have people using CC in the game already.

there is not only players who love speed run, there is not only players who love farming, there is also players like me, who wanna challenging content but wanna also have a fun, and more choice you have more fun u can have, and on top of all you can make happy more ppl, because if u love to do max dps, after this, u can keep your role, no one will force you to play differently, but now others ppl can do it if they want…

Who’s stopping you? Go do dungeons – in whatever gear you want. CC mobs all you want. Go full healing power. Nobody is stopping anyone and the game allows almost any party to complete dungeons.

What I feel you want is to force other people to need certain “roles” so you and like minded individuals feel “needed” or “wanted”. That’s just selfish.

Sub-80 Stuff
This is assuming that “raid” content is going to be instanced or somehow gives players control over who participates in this content.

Non-80s are Weaker

  • It should be acknowledged that a non-80 is going to be less effective than someone at maximum level. This is especially true after many of the New Player Experience changes! If this “raiding” content was built with non-80s in mind, then it would have to be possible to be completed by this group; if not, then what’s the point in giving them access?

    Now, if the content can be completed by a non-80 player, who is weaker than someone at max level, then the content is going to be much easier to complete (by comparison) with a full group of level 80s. This would make players more inclined to play with 80s rather than handicap themselves with someone who is not.

It’s Ineffective – Look at Dungeons!

  • I personally see little value in making this content accessible to non-80s, and the best example I can cite is dungeons. Dungeons start to become accessible to players as early as level 30, but it’s usually run by level 80s. Why?

    Players know that playing with a non-80 is handicapping the group: They are likely less experienced and will probably deal less damage and even die. Even though Explorable Mode was built to be accessible to non-80s, the general community that runs this content does not (and generally has not in the past) play with them. There is no reason to believe content built in this way in the future is going to have different results.

You are missing one important point of lower level dungeons/Raids. Learning curve. It would allow people to try to experience raiding earlier, and offer a progression of raids from easier to harder for people that are new to it. Nobody starts dungeooning at Arah – they get used to the content in easier dungeons first. Why Raids can’t be the same? It would also mean that raiding would be less exclusive, and become an option for more players. Which (contrary to what some people in this thread want) i consider to be a good thing.

My small proposal for this: Please make the raiding-system so (maybe improve the LFG tool, not only for guilds, etc..) that raiding can be a fun experience for people that do not want to stress themselfes with a “big guild” and all the negative social interactions, that often can happen there.

Unfortunately, i doubt this can be avoided. Anywhere where you are given a choice between grouping with a friend, and someone you dislike, and the game tells you to pick the latter (because your friend is of casual skill level, which just won’t cut, and the kitten is a “pro”) social interactions suffer. It’s one of the main reasons why i don’t do raiding anymore, and why i play GW2 and not “other games”. The group “challenge” aspect, when it is coupled with rewards, just completely changes the rules for social interaction – and not in a good way.

Making the raiding more inclusive, and creating the “easymode” raids (yes, i know, some people would consider those terms to be incompatible) would help a bit here.

for this problem i’ve wrote the solution some posts ago, making a “normal mode” and “hard mode” with scaled reward, but it’s more complex, i’ve wrote it better in the past post

you says “Guild Wars 2 was designed to have roles independently of the gear you’re wearing”
so why use zerker? use nomad and go to do dungeon in gw2 the gear “support” your build/skills, there is no way to use a full dps weapon and traits with nomad,rabbid,soldier etc etc stats, because it will not work properly….

i’d like to have some different mechanism inside raids will allow ppl to play it different

if you go full zerk and u have a perfect party but the raid/dungeon mechanics will doesent work (you wipe) if no one will give you a powerfull support, maybe one of zerk will go for a support builds+support weapon+support gear, changing his role and his purpose in a full support man (not a dps with some support buttons to click sometimes), if some bosses/mobs will take for example max 20k direct dmg per second but can take other 20k condi dmg per second, another zerk will go for condi and if during the fight will be other mobs coming from a side and they r unkillable but they are weak on control, maybe someoneelse will play with more cc stuff…. so in this game mechanics go full zerk will be mad, because you need to be a more complete party with a REAL different role and gameplay, not just some click sometimes…

and that’s just an example how can be different the game with different mechanism

ofc players (me on top) will try to find the best and faster way to finish the content, what i’m saying is to write a new contents with this purpose, for have a different and more various gameplay

for the other points you write, you r just writing for content we have, and i’m going forward this concept, trying to immagine another kind of gameplay for give a new life of the game… actually i’m spending more time on forums instead of playing because its all the same stuff since release, and if they add content with same gameplay will doesent give to everyone something for play for the next 2 years…

is the game design will define what party/role composition is better, they designed actual dungeons zerker friendly, but stuff can change with other content, all depend on mechanics design
i understand your point of view about supporter, but i think u doesent understand “ours” reading you my opinion is you never played other mmo (maybe i’m wrong ofc) but i’m saying that because be a support like “standard” mmo is really different from go with zerk gear and use some support skills, because your role is completly different, your purpose is completly different, you DONT have to do dmg, you have to do your job support the entire party so everyone can do his job
actually in gw2 you cant do that because of game design, and i’m not talking about combact system, but dungeon mecanics.
allow ppl to do much more and much different stuff can give more fun, if i have to do dmg and sometime some good skills i’m just a dps with different skills, but be a real supporter is different, and it give a really nice different experience

so i suggest for RAID CONTENT ONLY to make other stats viable and make finally this game more complete….. otherwise will be just another dungeon with same mechanics “go kill, skip, sometimes click some supportive button and finish it asap” maybe you will find it funny, and it is, but imho there is more from a game and give different gameplay will allow players what they want, also because we are different…

i’ll try to explain better (sorry but english isnt my language)
i know there is skills and trait will support party and for this things doesent care stats u r running, what i’d like to say is more “focus” on role is missing in this game
i dont wanna change content we have, but i’d like to feel raid really different from the rest of the game, and i’d like to “need” a full supportive guys, not only with some skills/trait, for make this game more complete, and btw actually for the condition stacking system u still cant play conditions…
my purpose is to “need” also different stat combo and more supportive builds… dps should be still able to do his job, but other ppl can focus his gameplay to other purpose than dps or some aegis/reflections skills

ps: about the video, not everyone play with organized group try to play with pugs and let me know your experience :p

One thing I’d really like to see for both Raids and the game as a whole would be the addition of a “gearset” UI for players to quickly/easily swap gear sets and trait specs (skillbar sets would be nice too)

Raids seems like they will necessitate more defined “roles” for players – not necessarily healer/tank/DPS in the strictest sense, but I’d hate to see raids degenerate into nothing more than 15 zerkers all bum-rushing the bosses.

I have a set of Cleric Exotics + Hammer that I use on my Warrior during Tequatl fights, it helps me keep other players in the fight and the hammer keeps mobs back/stunned when I’m reviving someone. I call it my “Combat Medic” build. I’m not a healer – I’m still swinging away at Teq in between revives, but when I see players go down I rush over and get them back up in 1/2 the time it normally takes me.

I would really love a way to extend this sort of “flexibility” to raids. Lots of Eles/Guards? I’ll go full zerk and pile on the dps. Tons of heavy hitters but not a lot of heals? Swap to my Cleric build and get players back on their feet ASAP.

i agree with you, raids should be the right time to make gw2 complete and go through the full zerk, and make this game more than an hack and slash, i’d like to use all potential of my characters, i have 6 lvl 80 and 5 of them is full zerk and the other one i will play just with relaxed party for make something different…. we can create raids, living story etc etc, but if the only purpose i have will be just to do max dps and forget all the other possibility will be boring really fast

and here we go.
what you guys have to understand is support, control etc doesnt come from the stats of your gear in gw2. it comes from weapons, traits and utlity skills.

if you believe optimised berserker PvE builds are just dps and nothing else, what about if you pay a little bit more attention to see nearly every build sacrifices dps for more support?
just dps just dps just dps, we read it every single day from people who do not understand the combat system in gw2. it is not true.

you can have someone in your party with healing gear, or you can have 5 berserker people who know what they are doing and blast water fields. in the end, option 2 is more difficult to do and comes with the reward that you can deal more dps at the same time.

good play should be rewarded, not punished.

Technically true, but there’s the dodge mechanic.
Look at the dodge button like this: It is a 2x total invulnerability for 1 second button on a low cooldown.
Add to this the fact that most PvE enemies in the game have few, well-telegraphed, hard-hitting attacks, and suddenly that dodge button gives you the ability to emerge unscathed from virtually any battle.
In short: toughness and vitality do not make you live longer if you dodge everything anyway, but they will take the spot of a stat that does make you deal more damage.

tl:dr

punish good players who know when to dodge, when to use aegis, when to use other active defense and reward players who need defensive gear to survive because whatever the reason is.

Support:
Healing Power, Boon Duration.

again people forget that the following things are *support" but not bound to stats:
aegis, wall of reflection, combo fields, feedback, blast finisher, vulnerability, protection, warrior banners, spotter frostspirit, CC skills, might, fury, blinds, quickness, swiftness and so on.

gw2 has a unique combat system that requires the player to be skilled (with the right content). dont take it away.

using the right skill at the right time is more difficult to do than using stats to give you a bigger error tolerance.

imho have less options isnt a reward but punishment, i’d like to have the chance to choise what can i play, today i wanna be zerk i play zerk, tomorrow i wanna support then i’ll go support, the day after i wanna use my conditiomancer, then i go conditions… have a choice is EVER better than doesent have it… options make game more deep and funny…
onestly after 2 years have another content with zerk only isn’t really a news, but gain a new kind of gameplay should be like have a real fresh air, and will make happy everyone, because man, if u wanna keep play zerk u can, and ppl like me would like to change will be able to…

One thing I’d really like to see for both Raids and the game as a whole would be the addition of a “gearset” UI for players to quickly/easily swap gear sets and trait specs (skillbar sets would be nice too)

Raids seems like they will necessitate more defined “roles” for players – not necessarily healer/tank/DPS in the strictest sense, but I’d hate to see raids degenerate into nothing more than 15 zerkers all bum-rushing the bosses.

I have a set of Cleric Exotics + Hammer that I use on my Warrior during Tequatl fights, it helps me keep other players in the fight and the hammer keeps mobs back/stunned when I’m reviving someone. I call it my “Combat Medic” build. I’m not a healer – I’m still swinging away at Teq in between revives, but when I see players go down I rush over and get them back up in 1/2 the time it normally takes me.

I would really love a way to extend this sort of “flexibility” to raids. Lots of Eles/Guards? I’ll go full zerk and pile on the dps. Tons of heavy hitters but not a lot of heals? Swap to my Cleric build and get players back on their feet ASAP.

i agree with you, raids should be the right time to make gw2 complete and go through the full zerk, and make this game more than an hack and slash, i’d like to use all potential of my characters, i have 6 lvl 80 and 5 of them is full zerk and the other one i will play just with relaxed party for make something different…. we can create raids, living story etc etc, but if the only purpose i have will be just to do max dps and forget all the other possibility will be boring really fast

I’m not the one who makes decisions on gear tiers, but it’s very unlikely raids will have a new gear tier with new stats. We would attempt to find other avenues to reward players, and create a sense of progression within the raids instead.

You mention a “raid-focused progression track”. What do you think that might look like?

i had an idea like raids should be planned
first of all i think have 2 mode of the same raid will make everyone happy, a normal mode and an hardcore mode, difference between this 2 mode should be (ofc) the difficulty and the rewards
rewards should be composed by a raid token like normal dungeons plus golds and gems, ofc in hardcore mode rewad should be scaled by difficulty, and for avoid the “farming mode” if u get reward from one mode u cant take it from the other one. i’d also like to add a “special presence token” will allow you to unlock next tier of raid wich will consist in a different raid with a little better reward, and then u can do this tier and the “lowest”….

with this kind of system devs can plan how many times player will unlock tiers and how can be able to gain, because weekly reward cap, and can plan different content during the months

with “normal tokens” i think you should be able to buy armor and weapon skins, special dye and “auras” will surround the pg like some pieces already have
and ofc should be nice have an achievement for raid as title, and a combo with this achievement and a gift (bought with tokens) will give you a more important title

From a technical point of view, I am guessing that the reason for a 15 man limit is based on the theoretical maximum size for a party. Any more than 15 players would – I assume – mean that there is not enough screen space to include the health bar of all party members.

I’m not sure the 15 man limit was made up because of screen space. I think the 15 man limit is an estimated size, above which any encounter would start to become dumbed down by the amount of players. For every additional player in the team, less effort is needed per player.
Also all their particle effects would decrease visibility of indicators you need to see.
In my opinion, 10 or 15 players is probably the best size (also makes it possible to combine teams of 5), no scaling and preferably just one raid size (per raid) from the start.

As for your talk about the Marionette. I think it would be perfectly fine to have a few (in time) big one-boss raids like the Marionette for bigger raid groups (like the Vault bosses in WoW during WotLK).

i’d like to see different sizes raid like others game, imho one with 8 ppl and another one with 16 whould be great, i dont like the idea i readed in some posts, to split the number of the party, i’d like to be in party with everyone, and if at some point of raid we should split i’d like to do it w/o reform the parties, but just the real life, we r 16 guys 8 will go to eat pizza and 8 will go to eat chinese then lets go everyone at the discoteque, without disbanding our friendship
i also have another little things to say, pls dont insert jp in raid, not everyone will love it, personally i avoid every content with jp, so pls dont force ppl to do something doesent wanna do… stuff like asuran fractal is ok, but doesnt esagerate pls

if will be designed 2 (or more) different istanced raid, should be designed with a defined party size, not variable, as dungeons, u can do it in max 5 ppl not more, so devs doesent became mad with scaling, lets avoid him to waste their time

There is my ideas:

Istanced
should be istanced like dungeons, raid isn’t a zerg and gw2 need something new, other game already have it and alot of player miss it

Weekly
i think raids should be weekly, it will feel raids more special and not just another “daily dungeon”

Party Friendly
usually best things is play with guildies/friends, but is important give a chance to anyone to play it, it will also avoid problem with small guilds, so the LFG tool should help ppl to found other players

Reward
ofc, you need something u can acquire only with this mode, i suggesto to dont use mainly RNG but tokens, with raids you should be able to gain armors and weapons skins, good loot and gold (not like fotm :p ) those skins should be something looking like legendary skins, should be also nice gain some gems

i know someone will love trinity and for other ppl this is pure evil, but i’d like to use other than berserker gear, i’d like to play different strategy then “corner” and “max dps” content and i’d like to “discover” different profession faces, will be really a waste of time and resource make a new content similar to the older… i mean, if i will play my character with the same mode (ZerkDpsCornerSkip) as the rest of the game will be just another dungeon with more ppl, nothing really new….
moreover have a different roles will help players to feel it different from the rest of the game, will allow players to enjoy this new content and allow devs to write different contents mechanics
i dont think will be a problem because the majority of players have alot of characters, and dungeon tokens unspent, so will be really easy buy other stats gear and play
and if someone wanna play zerker only, dont worry all the other ppl wanna try something different will full your party, and u can keep play zerk when other will support you

Someting this game missing is end dungeon statistics, i’d like to have it with some stats, like dps, outgoing healing, death, condi dmg

i know someone doesent like the idea because of elitists, but onestly i saw ppl kick other ppl from the party in cof p1 cause he doesent have 10k ap… i dont think cof p1 or other dungeon need someone with 10k ap or more, this is brainless elitism, because i saw in lvl 50 fotm a guard with more than 15k ap, doesent use his kitten wall of reflection when required… so ap it’s a joke, but elitists just need to find something for be elitist so i dont think end dungeon statistics will change elitism situation

why implement this feature?

1) i’ve saw some excel and also a website calculating max dps output, so ppl can know how is the max dmg of some classes, but if u will go full zerk like meta want but u r not able to play and u will spend half of dungeon downed your dps is lower, so with this stats u can see what u wrong and maybe not skilled player will stop to play meta build they cant play and will find a good balance between his real skills and his build
i think “the meta” ruin alot this game because there is alot of ppl (and if u do dungeon and fotm u know it!!) using meta build but they aren’t able to play it, so if they can compare with others and with themselves they can improve and be a better player

2) i ever found funny have statistics alot of ppl love it, in e-games, real games etc etc

gw2 key is dont force anyone to do anything, so if some players dont like raid just keep calm and play your favourite open zerg…

gw2 is really different from other games…. i try to explay why…

i play this game since bwe, and in this last months i became bored of gw2, cause there is no real news, so i’ve played alot of other mmorpg but i was really unsatified because ALL games have 2 big pillars

1) farm is necessary, u have to grind tiers and contents for have a tier 1 armor then tier 2 etc etc for be the powerfull player on the planet, so u have to spend alot of time with daily that make you powerfull and “obliges” you to play. gw2 doesent obliges you to do nothing, if i dont play it for 3 months i dont lost tiers or i will became useless, this game keep the player free to live his life and to enjoy contents without be obsessed to vertical progressions. In this months i’m back to an “older” mmo i was playing 3 years ago, i was “pro” in this game, but now my tier was someting like yellow pieces lvl 79 inside fotm 50 w/o agony resistance… ok 3 years is alot of time but i feel it insane, i’ve played my tier raids and they change it, they make it ridicoulous easy, it was really hard in the past and do u wanna know why? read the nexth point

2) F2P or DLC… if player will go faster on lower tier they will BUY expansion will allow them to play higher tier, so you have to buy the dlc or pay the fee… here you dont have to pay anything you dont wanna pay

in gw2 you are free to play what u want or DONT PLAY for all the time u dont wanna play and u dont lose anything, u dont have to make up the time lost for grind something, like fractal, there is agony resistance, and ascended, but if u dont like fractal u can avoid this things and enjoy the rest of the game without be a noob

i feel gw2 a game will make u free, this is the pillar, not anti mmo…. do u wanna play ZerkCornerMaxdpsONLY? nice u have all the dungeons, u wanna something more complicated, organized and with different role? i hope to find it on raids… if u dont like it just dont play it, as i dont play www

Hello dear anet support team, i’ve a problem with the game, usally i do dungeon only, so i dont know if the problem is also outside there, but when i’m inside randomly sometimes, me AND my team mate will have a big spike lag, at the same moment!!! i dont play with the same guys, usually i go for pug with the lfg tool, so everytime it happens with different guys, and sometime i (and solo someone else) will be redirected to the character login interface

i’ve already used your gameadvisor with one of your guys, because i’ve opened a ticket, but in my pc its all ok, so your collegue told me to write here or send a report ingame, so now i wrote here hoping in your help

i’m not a game tecnician, but i think this issue should be inside some eu server or maybe in the game code, cause its really strange to have same issue at the same time inside the party with random ppl, everytime it happens i will ask to my party and everytime i’m not the only one

I m back to play another mmo cause after 2 years i feel gw2 boring with all that dps only, (and i m not too happy cause i prefear gw2 system) and the motivation cause here u dont need the healer is because the enemy average dps is low but with some one shot burst, if they will hit costantly harder w/o one shot skils (or more called) you shoudnt stay alive w/o a healer cause u can dodge the burst but u cant sustain the average dps w/o a healer…
i like the idea to do content w/o roles but make an entire game like that doesent give the right variety other games have, so i hope in new different dungeon/raids will allow us to enjoy this game completly

Pve atm doesent need nomad too, but i dont think they implement a www stuff in a pve content and not in www content doesent make any sense

i’d like to write some suggestion for anet, based on my past experience with mmo’s

raid are different, have to be different for feel this moment something special you are waiting for

what raids needs:

_you can do it ONCE per week
otherwise will be just another “dungeon”

_you should be able to pug it with lfg tool
best things is do it with guildies/friends, but is important give a chance to anyone to play it

_reward

fractal should be the endgame and i like the idea, but need to be more supported not only with new levels and minidungeons, but with some new idea will make it more enjoinable… i’d like to see more brain mechanism and less “invisible” oneshot mechanism.
i saw some good new on dry top bosses, i’d like to have more tactics and “specializations” from some classes, i’d like to see player split up for a bit in different path and rooms with different purpose, so we can have an deeper endgame and not the same fullzerkfastshoteverything

I don’t buy the whole “the community is at fault for the dev silence” nonsense.

Look at the way the devs responded to legitimate feedback during beta and on the test server (yes there is/was one). Essentially it amounted to “if you don’t have enough positive to say, we’re going to stop communicating with you.” The players were cordial, helpful, thorough in their documentation of bugs and they got a response that one would expect from a petulant middle-schooler.

There’s a reason that the entire rosters of the first few batches of guilds invited to the test server have left the game. Of there’s any lingering animosity towards the devs in terms of communication, it’s well deserved.

your argoument is right, it’s a part of their job stay in contact with community they should know we have flaming kids and mature people, every game have it.
thinking about that i’m starting to think they cannot be “offended” for that, it’s a part of the “game” they cannot make happy everyone that’s obvious, but their silence is growing up rage and disappointment of players… i hope to shake them out and say something with a reply, a video or a new topic with the SOTG, just to say “hey guys we r working on some big feature community want” we can show you or tell will be ready in nexht 6 months, 2 years etc etc, just for give an anchor to players.

i’m looking other good games, i already saw an interesting one will be released in next months cause gw2 atm doesent give me nothing, i’ve start as pvper, i left it cause spvp is abbandoned, its become just a way for make some more AP, so i joined more pve, but now we have same situation.. i love the casual state of this game, i mean u dont need to farm every day, it’s one of the biggest quality imo, but they should also give more as pve endgame, a real and vorious pvp…

lol are you really blaming the players for anet’s miscues?
Its 100% their fault when they mislead players by getting the community hyped about new things they say they are going to to add only to never see it come to bear fruit.
What other reaction could you possibly expect when you mislead a community?

anet had some mistake on that, but he is right, why they should risk something if after sharing some info’s they should listen alot of flame? if i work on anet i will never say anything i’m not sure will be!! indeed i’m not asking for have some strange or secret roadmap… there is alot of months we will have almost nothing but LS, i think some teams are working on other stuff.
for example i remember one anet stream about a new spvp map for capture the flag or something like that, it was alot of months ago, i think they should give us something are working on, and they r pretty sure will be released in the next months…
its pretty sad see alot of players (i’m in this group) have alot of idea, suggestion, and still believe and love this game, become “crazy” because the game isn’t moving forward

Its 100% their fault when they mislead players by getting the community hyped about new things they say they are going to to add only to never see it come to bear fruit.
What other reaction could you possibly expect when you mislead a community?

anet had some mistake on that, but he is right, why they should risk something if after sharing some info’s they should listen alot of flame? if i work on anet i will never say anything i’m not sure will be!! indeed i’m not asking for have some strange or secret roadmap… there is alot of months we will have almost nothing but LS, i think some teams are working on other stuff.
for example i remember one anet stream about a new spvp map for capture the flag or something like that, it was alot of months ago, i think they should give us something are working on, and they r pretty sure will be released in the next months…
its pretty sad see alot of players (i’m in this group) have alot of idea, suggestion, and still believe and love this game, become “crazy” because the game isn’t moving forward

you’re right, alot of players is like kids (maybe they really are :p) i dont really asking to have date, but i think if they will tell us what they r working on (maybe something they really things will be implementend in the nexth 8 months) should calm down ppl… also because as player i’m feeling this game dead, i mean, it seems a game w/o support with LS exeption, but alot of things players want it seems to be ignored.
i know they had bad experience with us, as u saying, i know they will think “why we should take some risk as give some roadmap maybe we cant do?” i understant alot of stuff it doesent depends on anet, its a buiseness, maybe ncsoft will change their plan because of gw2 business, and other ncsoft games… i’m not asking the impossible, but i think they should have some roadmap to follow, something they already working on, they should share with us

i read more and more 3d about endgame, new contents, new spvp mode request etc etc..
i agree with them this game need fresh air (more than elementalists ) btw i dont wanna make the 100000 topic about that, i just wanna ask if u can give us some infos, if u r working on something and more or less when we will see some news (when is ready ).

there is some months we dont see you active in forum, only few and “no info” reply..
could u give some freshness to us giving something? i feel alot of “furstration” and “sadness” about this situation

8-10 ppl should be a good compromise, u should think raid is doable once per week so u can organize it with guild… i’ve done that in other games when role was important and we never got problems to run it and it also was a small guild

Raids are awesome, i still do it in other games, cause is something unique repetable, as someone told no one wanna a gear treadmill, but skins etc etc raids u can do once per week make them special, with some different team compositions like 8 or more ppl should be really awesome…
I play this game since bwe i m the one who log in just for teq and daily and i do this no everyday, there is some entire weeks i dont play anymore.. ; dont care about legendary treadmill or living story, i wanna enjoy the game with friends/guildis with something special like raids are

So many of us came here specifically to get away from raids.

Because in oer game u r forced to play it for have better stats here you can play only kittenwanna, i doesent suggest a treadmill, reward should be exclusive skins so if u dont like u can avoid it w/o lose anything

Same with haling power zerk tough and healing power scale too different, have +1k in power will reward more you instead have it on toughness or healing power

I dont think alot of ppl lf more difficulty, but something different repetable for some kind of reward as should be fractals, but fotm is not too different, you have to stack, max dps and go, your party is ever 5 ppl… maybe some kind of fractal raid with bosses as drytop (more mechanics less stacking and one shotting) and some roles allow player to play classes differently, we have a tons of sets but everyone wanna go zerk just cause is better.. in other games u have roles, party should also split up with some npc for some kind of purposes..
Someone should say it will be hard to find some teammates.. i thing some guild mission is harder too w/o ppl
In this game is pretty easy have some classes and buy new kind of armor wi dungeon token or gold or badge of honor, so why dont make a special raid with a large party with different roles?
