Sanctum of Rall
“Quaggan’s a piwate! Yarr!” – “Pirate”
It’ll be released, most likely, tonight at 12AM PDT, like all other patches are.
So what your problem with the Tactics tree is that there are damage-based talents in a support-based tree?
Well, from the GW2 wiki itself, “Tactics is a trait line for the warrior that favors revival of allies and supporting them with banners, shouts and the warhorn.” Sounds like they covered everything required to make the Tactics tree a support one.
Honestly, I like them.
Then again, I like reviving people, so…
Something that I don’t think has been considered… but all races are a part of the same faction, meaning who would we be fighting?
Either:
A) Buy them from the Item Market
B) Wait for expansions and hope they expand the number of slots a player has access to by default.
IIRC, Guild Wars only has 8 character slots, and there are 10 professions in that game, so players still had to purchase two slots to have access to all the classes on a single account. Yes, the increase would be nice, but I imagine that due to the Item Market being available, character slots are gonna be given for free scarcely.
Being Level 80.
Seeing as I’m already that, I’m in the end game. =] Still got a lot of stuff that I want to do, so I can see this end-game lasting a while.
3. anyone who is offensive to others because of stupidity, coarseness, etc.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/kitten
Possibility….but still, most likely just a typo. Hopefully this isn’t going to turn into a racism thing…if so, the area just outside of Undercity back in the early days of WoW would’ve had Jesse Jackson protesting.
Lets just say questionable use of trees and corpses. EVERYWHERE.
AS I said, the word is censored by the forums, so the link will send you to kitten.
Well, according to dictionary.com, the word can also be used to mean “anyone who is offensive to others because of stupidity, coarseness, etc.”, though I do agree that the word may need to be changed.
Also, the word is changed to kitten on the forum, hence I didn’t post a direct link, in case it ruined the link itself.
Have you gone to any other starting zones? If not, that would be a pretty good option. This includes the variety of 15-25 areas, as well as any other areas that are below your level that you’ve yet to wander around in.
Also, with the amount of time you get to play, WvW may not be a good choice, unless your server is dominating or has an active WvW population.
Bleed cap is 25, and I do agree that each person should have their own stack for their own effects, but the major downside to that would be that a lot of the bosses and such in the game would be downed far easier if each person could pile on their own set of 25 bleeds. If they were to give us individual stacks, the number of stacks would be dropped to a lower number, like 10, and that would make builds that use bleeds (like a Warrior who uses Criticals and a Sword to drop Bleed damage quickly) weaker because they’d cap out their damage output easily and have to spend more time wearing down the enemy using conventional means.
My idea would be to make the base cap for Bleeds, Confusion, and Vulnerabilty stacks be 25. Then, once the enemy is over level 25, the number of stacks they can hold of each of those three statuses increases to equal their level (i.e. 80 stacks of Bleeds for a L80 enemy). This way, players can still apply bleeds for a bit before they cap out, and it doesn’t get to out of hand to make bosses pushovers with conditions. The main reason I focused on the three conditions that I did is because they stack intensity (or each stack deals damage), where as most of the other ones stack duration.
And so far, I haven’t had any survivability problems while wearing Rampager gear. Then again, I’m not even in the L80 areas yet… and I am a Warrior… and it could be that I’m specced to allow me to regen health quite easily while still using bleeds as damage output… So yeah, my opinion is probably nil on this subject, but at least I figure it wouldn’t hurt to at least to speak.
The green numbers are also used to reflect any buffs that affect your stats. For example, a Warrior using Signet of Power will have a green number next to their white Power stat, showing the increase caused by the buff.
Any bad language, like the f-word.
It’s a censor for any bad language, like the f-word.
Norn Guardian actually does make sense in my opinion. Bears, in general, are very protective and territorial creatures; they watch after their young, and try to keep an area uniquely theirs. Guardians are exactly like that; the protect those that they are around, trying to keep them alive, while at the same time trying to force enemies away from them.
I disagree with this, simply because you should not be able to farm a specific dungeon for tokens, then make another character and buy all of the set for said dungeon. It ruins the purpose of earning the tokens and set of gear for the character that is actually going to use it.
Yeah, you’ll get more than enough skill points to get all of the skills listed, so honestly don’t worry about it.
Once they get the Guesting feature fixed, you’ll be able to temporarily travel over to your friend’s server, and play with them without actually leaving your home server.
Guilds can be cross-server if they choose to be, but all of the influence earned will mostly help those on the home server for the guild. And I think you aren’t able to represent your guild in WvW, or something, but I’m not really familiar with guild stuff and PvP.
Also, you can try and see if you can get your friends to server transfer over to your server. This way, you are all on the same server and you don’t feel like you would be abandoning your guild or your friends. Free transfers are currently up, though I’m not sure for how long.
They will. Let them get the game fixed up a little bit more, and they’ll start putting more things like this in the Item Market.
EDIT: The reason I say they will is because such items exist in Guild Wars.
Well, there is also the fact that they could make the zones not strictly L80, because of the whole deleveling feature that they worked on. This way, mid-level players can choose to help finish off the current cause (Zhaitan), or help with the new cause, whatever it’s chosen to be.
Also, rumor has it that they are intending to increase the level cap, meaning that some of the new content that they release for the expansions may make use of the new cap.
Expansion wise, I’m hoping they open the Nightfall area first. That gate in Field of Ruins leading south into the Crystal Desert makes me sad because it’s not available yet. lol They’ve also got Cantha to open up, which I can’t currently locate on the present map, but I imagine that when the Dominion of Wind (Tengu area) opens up, there should be some leads to there.
I’m curious if they’ll allow us to make characters that are natives to those portions of the map. I mean, they did in Guild Wars, but that was because then, Nightfall and Factions weren’t sequel-based expansions, they were just more to allow people to have more racial options, plus to show the plight of more than just one region of the world. Also, I’m thinking they’ll make a couple of races available for each new zone, like the Tengu for when Cantha is available, if they allow for characters to start in the zone that the expansion is based around.
I imagine expansions will actually work like Nightfall and Factions did in Guild Wars. And I imagine that the Krytan start point for one of the expansions will be the gate right outside of Ebonhawke, leading south into the Crystal Desert.
However, the areas you have listed are most likely to be content patches. Once enough people have completed the available content, and that it’s been polish shined so that it doesn’t break as much (hopefully not at all), they’ll expand the story into those zones mentioned.
Charr Warrior
I do Weaponsmithing and Armorsmithing
Yes, you get a skill point each time you level up, as well as a trait point starting at level 11.
I imagine that this happening was unintended, and I know there are a lot of people who are requesting that ANet include a feature that will allow the player to chose the range at which enemies appear.
“One doesn’t simply wake up and face a dragon.”
That’s probably a misquote from the Sylvari starting portion, but it pretty much explains the game as a whole. Yes, the dragons are important to the story, but at the point the your character starts at is in the middle of a period of disunity between the races, due to the mishap of Destiny’s Edge. As you play through your story, your choices are what start to pull them together and bring their attention to the dragons.
Yeah, that happens occasionally to dual wielders. xD
Um, the armor repair people I talk to repair everything 100% when I talk to them.
Titles? How do I get titles?
When you are looking at your achievements, on the right side of the bar representing an achievements completion, there is usually a roman numeral, the infinity sign, or a crown there. The crown represents the title that you can earn, the infinity symbol represents that you’ve gotten the core part of the achievement and that you are still being rewarded repeatedly by a new one that contains a similar, generally easier goal (an example is the Salvage Kit usage one), and the roman numeral represents the tier you are on for a specific achievement.
How are the back items hidden? I’m currently wearing the L35 Guild Assassin Backpack.
The guild backpacks that can be grabbed from the Guild Armorer show on the back slot. Also, I think Engineers can pick an item during character creation that is in the back slot as well.
They do have a back slot, so they shouldn’t really have any trouble implementing them. And I would rather a cape for my guild rather than the silly backpack I’m trucking around with. Though I would be a little annoyed because they’d most likely clip or something when you have a two-handed sword, hammer, or shield (I’m probably missing a weapon or two) on your back and running around.
I agree with this. Even though I only have Rytlock, I’d like to be able to keep him out and not lose him each time I deposit all of my collectables into my bank.
Let them get the game off the ground. Once they have, these options will most likely become available, as they did in Guild Wars.
Oh so there will be a lvl cap increase!
I assumed they wouldn’t since it could mess up the balance with the trait system.
But then again it’s the same guys who had to balance GW1 so..
I imagine that they’d do what every other game has done with their trait/talent tree system and simply pile another tier or two onto it with the cap increase, just to prevent people from capping more than what is supposed to be for game balance.
