Thank you, but i in no way have any money to spare to buy a new card, sadly. My computer was never upgraded yet and it probably won’t be unless i win the lotto.

I can play the game on medium/high with 20-30 FPS and that’s okay for me, i didn’t even expect more. But this slow loading of characters is still a bit annoying and since i didn’t have this issue in the betas, it must be something changed on their end.

Also, the problem doesn’t happen outside of cities at all, i can say that for sure now.

What i also noticed is that in cities not only the models load slowly, but my skill sounds and character voices are also delayed or not played at all.

I can confirm that I take falling damage while in mist form.

You take falling damage under any kind of invulnerable effects. It would make sense not to take damage, but then they would be exploited in WuWuW or SPvP…

I started out with Ele, as it was my main in GW1 too. I played up to lvl36 with her and then i decided that i need to play another class, i got too used to the ele and it became a tiny bit tiresome.

Now i have a mesmer and at first it was confusing to use the class mechanics and i missed the attunement swapping, but overall i enjoy it so far…. Althrough the Mesmer definitely feels harder to down than my ele… weird as both are light classes.

You can even bypass pushing effects, like the winds on Goemm’s Lab jumping puzzle. Making the windy parts horribly easy as the wind won’t affect you.

My sylvari is called Dinnye. It means watermelon :P

In the betas it was focused on your current target, instead of being ground targeted. It was way easier to use that way… but meh.

They are constantly informing us and they react to threads as well. I don’t know where you got the idea that they don’t say anything…. Maybe check the forums more than once a week and you’ll see.

Purple and butterflies fit the whole illusion theme. I don’t know where do you live, but this is common sense if you read after illusion or mesmers at all.

There are no party leaders, the one who enters the dungeon first gets to see the videos, happened to me once in Arah a long time ago doing story mode. Never reported it tho

The party leader is who created the party. But either way, who cares? It doesn’t change the fact.

This must be a newly introduced bug as others in the party said this didn’t happen before.

I was in AC for the first time today and only the party leader could watch the cutscenes, all of us had to wait for her to watch it and there was no way to trigger it for ourselves….

Please fix this, because it just ruined my experience of the story mode…. i couldn’t tell most of what why happened.

Multiple people reported this already, along with me… Lately i’ve not been having this while being out on a map, but i almost constantly miss my skill sounds inside cities…. I don’t really know how it’s related and why it works that way, but it’s annoying…

Even with the “remember” option, if your IP is dynamic and it changed since last time, you gotta wait for the email to be able to log in… Since my connection likes to stop suddenly sometimes while playing GW2, i find it annoying that i have to wait 5-10 minutes for the confirmation email each time…

Just make it so that you can remember the computer you are currently using, so there won’t be problem like this…

Almost everyone has problems with WvW.

There is a Karma Trader NPC in Brisban Wildlands, who becomes available after the close-by Heart is completed. She is called something like “Peacemaker Klo…” i can’t recall the name.
She is somehow stuck inside a “tent”, while being dead and there is no way to get in there to revive her and access her trades.

This has happened on Piken Square server.

You just have to delete the folder and then reinstall. I did the same…

Data like that (player location, etc) is passed from the server. It used to be good in the BWE’s, but one of those updates shortly after launch ninja-nerfed it, and we haven’t heard a word from ANet since.

Exactly. I never had problems like this in the BWEs, but now i have to stay within 6-7 meters of characters in cities to make them appear at all… and if they do appear, it takes 1 minute, while i’m standing exactly next to them already… it’s so messed up and it makes the cities look dead :/

I don’t really have the problem in PvE areas though.

I went to LA again just to test this again… now i know how it works… When i go ~6 or 7 ingame meters away from a group of players and NPCs and turn my back, they all disappear suddenly when i look back. If i run back and stay exactly next to them, they will still stay invisible for almost a whole minute before they appear again…

I heard that there is a limit of character models on screen, but this is ridiculous… The whole city feels empty if i keep running around…

It would be nice to hear something back from Anet here…

Anyway, i thought out a password unique to GW2 now… i wasn’t too happy about it, but i can see why they decided with this.

I find them funny sometimes too Especially Skritt ones :P There was an event where after you saved the Skritt, they went something like this:

Skritt 1: “Hey, we beat them so hard! Now let’s go get more shinies!”
Skritt 2: “Oh ok, but those people helped us too! Say thanks to them!”
Skritt 1: “Okay… uhmm… so you know, you did well! Now we go get shinies!”

… and they run off :P

There are better ones if course, but i can’t think of any right now ^^

Some of the Skritt merchants in Skrittsburg are also weird. I suppose it’s a bug or just placeholder, but when they say goodbye with different lines, they sound exactly like the human merchants :/

But when you talk to them at first, they sound like Skritt…. so i suppose it’s not intentional or at least not permanent.

I have an ATi Radeon HD 3850 and i have the 12.6 drivers as those are the latest ones that support my card.

Fix the audio cutting bug. It annoys me a lot :/

So, the problem is this: In certain areas, which are mostly cities, for some reason the player and NPC models don’t always load like they are supposed to.

For example this always happens in Lion’s Arch. I go up to the Mystic Forge and there are no NPCs or players anywhere, the whole place is empty. But if i press the alt button, i can see lots of NPC names, without the actual models. I can talk to them as well.

After this, it takes like from 30 seconds to 1 minute until they suddenly start loading in, along with the players.

This is getting extremely immersion breaking and annoying… i have no idea what causes this… It happens in Rata Sum as well, but not as frequently like in LA.
Sometimes it happens outside in zones, but it’s more rare there.

Any idea how to fix this? :/

That’s why I began using “kitten” instead of “offensive words” here on the forums. With time, I suspect, the sound sequence “kitten” will instantly invoke the same reaction as motherF. No matter which word we use, if we tie it to a negative situation it will gain a negative meaning, even kittens are not absolved from this.

An offensive word will remain offensive, no matter if you look at it innocently.

I have to laugh at the OP. Darksiders’ combat was a perfect example of a console game, full of combos, but no real depth. It got boring horribly fast.

Kingdoms of Amalur had a somewhat good combat system, but that was the only good thing about the game… and i still prefer GW2’s to it.

I got no spam related to the forums at all…

I got like 3 spam mails overall and all of them while i was ingame.

I don’t feel that way at all. Dodging feels fluid in my opinion
