SoS/YB/DB (T3) has some great fighting. All pretty much 20k or so within each other, so it’s fairly even.

I see people are continuing to troll themselves into a seething froth.

I can’t count on two hands how many times I’ve died this week due to being unable to use this ability. It’s a great tool, but it literally works 1/3 times. My wolf just comes bounding back to me and stares at me with this dumb grin on his face.

Just do what I did and roll a warrior. 20x stronger, without the hassle of a pet. Even more hilariously, I beat a ranger 1 v 1 as a longbow warrior just yesterday.

“Duelist kings”. What a joke Anet. Just roll a warrior and get over the misery, this class is not even close to worth it at 80 compared to other classes and it’s the truth. Simply a look at who wins in PvP and who they want for Dungeons says it all.

Does it exist? I often try to play on BL’s that have close to no one from my server on it, but there’s little I can do other than take random sentry posts and kill a yak or two, which doesn’t really do much.

I’m not yet at a level where I can solo camps. (Is it even possible?)

I know I can just go to regular sPvP at any time, but I like WvW much better in terms of having an exploratory sense to it, as well as personal gearing.

Any SoS know how you guys got bay in DB BL, like 10mins ago? We are very frustrated because its been 4 days in a row that we lost the bay without getting contested (or barely). No accusations, just asking what happened.

It just happened again 5 minutes ago, bay was taken in less than a minute. Losing an almost entirely upgraded keep isn’t fun at all…

I hope you all realize if there are hackers taking keeps or towers through cheats somehow behind enemy lines in an instant, people who own that keep are more likely to know about or see the person hacking than the people on the other side.

It’s not like we have people saying “Hey person A, go use cheats to take Bay right now” in our TS.

Curious, but good fights. You’d think YB would be more interested in attacking DB in an effort for 2nd place, but it seems otherwise.

No smearing here. Elephant Ambush [EA] – Has been on Dragonbrand since day 1 and was there for our fall down the tiers after the mass exodus to SoS. Dragonbrand has fought back up and have finally gotten a shot at SoS again after the demolition at their hands the same week we lost our WvW guilds.

There’s also an [EA] on Yak’s Bend apparently lol.

Although I only started playing this game about a month ago, I can understand that feeling, as I have a sort of sick fantasy of one day playing against all those bandwagoners in Blackgate and crushing them…

As unlikely as it is…haha. Good luck guys.

But just to note, if you’re looking to beat up the bandwagoners, I’d suspect the majority of them to be in Blackgate. Once a bandwagoner, always a bandwagoner I’d guess.

I remember very well. i hope we keep SoS off the map as much as possible. what i love the most is even though all those guild jumped ship to blackgate they still aren’t beating jade quarry…

Actually, alot of guilds decided if we got a good lead (20-30k) alot of us would PvE. We’re taking it easy till FA starts to catch up then alot of us (RISE), WM, CO, and KO will come in and take care of the situation. xD

FA and K-Town couldn’t be two worlds more apart.
No offense but I’ve been here 2 months since the IoJ implosion and the community on this server can’t get enough pvp. They never need a break, you see the same people out every night for hours on end. They care only for points to stay in a high enough tier to have fun battles. They crave to be out numbered or at least only even numbers when going head to head. This seems to be the attitude of 85% of w3’ers on the server.

When my old guild went to K-Town and my long term mmo buddies (now living in a different region) went to FA I had the choice of moving to the bandwagon server or the hardcore but under populated pvp server.

Boy did I make the right decision. The PvP server is so much fun!

Ps: Jayne, Internet not even ordered yet. Told the misses today that she has to order it by Monday or I’m buying a one way ticket back to Australia. (I live in Mexico on a tourist visa and am not able to order it). I can go back to my in-laws to play but not much.

Short and simple, it’s not viable. Ranger and Engineer are the two worst classes in this game and I don’t see them getting fixed anytime soon. Just jump on the warrior / guardian / mesmer bandwagon like everyone else if you want ‘viability’.

This is like the 100th kick I’ve gotten from a group about to run a dungeon (CoF, AC) because they saw that little paw print next to my group portrait square.

What can I do other than just scrapping my class for an obviously superior one (warrior, warrior, or a warrior) to be able to find a dungeon run when my guild is busy?

I don’t know if I should transfer to Blackgate with the rest of my old guild, or to a T2 server. :x

From what I saw today on EB, you have plenty of people, but nobody leading them. Got to wipe way more people than we should have been allowed to because the SoS zerg was running more like a snake along the map rather than a ball. You are holding your own fine though, you definitely have enough to man keeps etc.

That, along with some sub par commanders tonight pulling some questionable moves that split our zerg.

Our zerg tactics our off line. I agree with your observation that our zerg moves peculiarly. I’m no commander, but it’s somewhat obvious that your commander has no idea what he’s doing when he runs the zerg into three wipes in a row that could have been entirely avoided.

I started playing WvW about a month after I got the game because I never really knew what to do. Now it’s probably the main reason I play GW2.

I started on SoS and don’t plan to bandwagon over to BG with the rest of my guild. If I stick to SoS, we’re probably going to drop though, by how much – I don’t know.

Does WvW dwindle down in the lower tiers? Is it just as competitive?

I like how LB rangers feel, and I like it as a class, but all I ever read around here is how rangers are so terribly useless and how longbow makes them even worse.

IMO, it should correlate to half of how outnumbered you are. So if they outnumber you by 50%, you gain a 25% vitality and attack bonus. (As those are stats everyone can use.)

10% outnumbered = 5% bonus
20% outnumbered = 10% bonus
50% outnumbered = 25% bonus

Etc.

I sort of agree with your message….but even for a semi-casual player like me, score and rank does have some weight still…

How do you bring one down before he takes out a handful of squishies? Tanky, with the damage of a glass cannon and ranged crowd control on top of long distance gap closers, I’m having trouble dealing with that.

Longbow gameplay is probably the only reason I’m playing Ranger, is it a subpar weapon to use?

Probably from people just mad they’re not getting the free win they expected from our server, don’t worry about them. :x

That would be poor as a game mechanic, as that would discourage the necessary head on assaults that are required in order to take things like SM. There are a lot of casualties from a side trying to get ground back from someone who is dominating them, this would only put those ahead even further ahead with little chance for the losers with little to no ground to recover from.

There’s no commander saying rally to ____ and stack on ____, it’s just a lot of wandering around in little 10 man, militia skirmish parties that get mauled over by 30+ zergs. Couple nights ago, had a commander telling us to attack Durios with no siege. We mindlesly DPS’d a fortified gate for 10 minutes until the inevitable SoR zerg demolished us. I don’t even know what some of these commanders are doing, but SoS is extremely disorganized at the moment and it’s frustrating to see that.

Why didn’t you drop siege. Do you always expect your commanders to drop it for you? Try aiding the fight by helping the commanders.

I donate all siege I get to commanders that ask for it. The bulk of the siege weapons I ever get my hands on come from the JP, which I promptly drop so commanders can take them. I’m not bashing all commanders on the server, because a lot of them know what they’re doing, but some of them are just clueless. The only siege I ever buy with my own money are arrow carts.

If the commander realized he had 0 siege to use while trying to bring down a gate, he should have called off the attack, not continue to bash at a cliff with pebbles and not expect the tide to eventually come.

TBH, SoS needs to drop a tier, this isn’t a level of competition I honestly find fun. :x

It’s just downward spiral after another during NA times. I don’t know why. Maybe I just play under bad commanders?
