Been discussed before. No feedback from Anet on it yet.
+1 from me on it.
I will accept that as your oppinion, and in the same sentence, would simply like to kitten my opinion as well: Anet need to come up with a mechanism to control TP inflation. Unless they increase drop-rates of most of the top tier mats, I don’t see how else they would do that then to set price caps by lowering vendor prices.
A clever first step would have been to make legendaries account bound on acquire… but that ship has unfortunately sailed.
Account-bound on acquire.
So what you are saying is that, because it is a skin the price is fair game and irrelevant to use as a base for comparison? And I am sorry, if they were simply skins, they would not have stats. Despite that they are used for skins, they are not in fact, skins.
And what does dungeon armour have to do with anything? You buy those with tokens, not gold, and you cannot sell them on TP. You even read what I wrote?
Sorry, but your reply did not make much sense to me.
Agree on leveling. You can easily get 5 level an evening. 8 days and you hit 80. Leveling is not an issue.
Gear prices…
Well, gear are over priced.
Why would a single piece of 80 (rare) cultural armour cost what an 2 entire sets of exotics would cost you?
Or why a an order (vigil, whispers, priory) set, (also rare quality) would cost what an exotic set would cost?
But that is another matter. The issue is not TP prices, it is TP inflation. GW2 economy is oddly familiar… the small minority super rich, the bulk of not so super rich, and the every increasing disparity between the 2 groups.
And who is creating this? Speculators. Simple as in the real world we live in. Speculative buying by those who have accumulated a mass of wealth…
So, in short, unless they start selling gear at prices that will control inflation from vendors, (IE, create a cap price, at witch point a buyer will simply buy from a vendor rather than TP, simply because it is cheaper) this situation cannot be controlled. That can only happen, if those prices were realistic as well.
This all assumes that, this is something Anet wants.
Considering vendor prices… I would venture to think not.

Swamp is awful! but that is nice I think it is ok. Frustrating as sin, but what would the challenge be if you can just trigger all the traps from the whisps to the trees, with no possible way to fail?
I think it is fine.
It could by-pass JP similar to Mesmer portals now, so, that would be a consideration. But apart from JP’s and as Dream pointed out, WvW and PvP that is specifically built to “try” and prevent you breaching a wall without pounding it to dust first, I don’t see why it is not doable.
Agree on Zhaitan.
Offline anything – Em… no.
Nah, I do not agree with this. Will loose the “special” factor. Makes choosing so much more important.
I have to agree with Awlbiste here. I have yet to see an Anet response to this, despite how obviously popular guild management suggestions are.
Comon guys, we would really like to see some of these changed implemented.
Adding my support here! More Med-Armour!
Good idea that one. And simple.

Just because it happened to you and you dislike it doesn’t mean it’s not intended and acceptable.
[/quote]
It happened to me? I am sorry, but I was not aware of that.
And to get to your “intended design” statement…. I can’t help but wonder why there has been so many fixes, if the intended design was so flawless.
THE VERY NATURE, of this thread is to suggest and recommend improvements people feel would make the game better, and for Anet to evaluate the level of interest in a specific suggestion in order to decide if a change is warranted.
However, the fact that certain things have been intentionally designed I do not depute. You are right in this regard.
However, keep this in mind, despite the fact that I feel Anet did a sterling job in this game, I also feel that it is unrealistic to believe that they would have been able to conceptualize every silly mistake people could make.
Again, hence this forum.
Hence, the adaptability to change things.
If this is a matter that could help out in making the game more enjoyable for non-hardcore players, hey, why not?
If Anet has a strange tally going on how many people screw up a purchase and have a giggle around the meeting table every Monday about the number… Well, that makes no sense.
In regards to account and soulbound… I agree 100% on that. I am just sorry Anet did not make Legendarily account bound on acquire at the design. I understand why it would not be. But at the same and ironic time, the only statement anyone with a legendary currently makes, is; “I spent $500 this morning and bought myself a cool bow…”
Yip. I know. Voicing it made me feel a little warmer inside though.
Nothing yet? This makes me sad. Come Anet, this is good stuff.
Just my feelings, but legendaries should have been account bound on acquire.
Why? Well, owning a legendary, in my opinion is supposed to be a very visible statement of achievement!
I love that idea. It is bragging rights with good reason… or so it seems.
Right now however, it only really means you have $700 to throw at the game. Why, because, believe it or not, the gold sellers are now also selling; legendaries.
So for everyone who worked to get one, guys, kudos, you achieved something very cool.
Unfortunately, it has been rendered somewhat meaningless.
My suggestion here. Well, to late to change it now I guess., but, in future, Anet, please think things through to the end.
+100 for the spitting comment.
I agree. Orr is a rubbish dump. Don’t want to play there. It is ugly. It makes sense in the story, but it is still an awful place to play.
Agree on all those.
And how about a guild hall??? mmm….
Well… maybe :P
TENGU! I would LOVE playing a Tengu!
Good suggestions. The bird likes them!
It’s been asked a few time now. I cannot fathom why it has still not been done.
+1
Did that as well. I Sent a bug report on it at the time. But I agree. We need that.
I would like to see this as well.
However, as a tip, you can view almost anything in the game in the PVP closet. There are some miss-matches, but I would say 98% of the stuff there is as it is in PVE and WvW.
Fix it, and Ban everyone on those pages.
Sorry Dream, but just because it doesn’t happen to you, doesn’t make something stupid. You sound rightly negative and a disagreeable kind of person.
Besides! ANet does not want you to grind for token with one character??? I am sorry, but I read NO SUCH thing in the terms and conditions. I would strongly urge you not to speak for the developers. I very much doubt you have the right.
That being said, I agree with Jack.
1. Why is there a buy-back option, but not a undo?
2. If the items were ACCOUNT bound on purchase, mistakes like these could be salvageable, as something mistakenly bough could passed to another character. Why on earth does it have to be soulbound on purchase? I do not understand the philosophy here.
3. Not 100% related to Jack’s problem, but something that came to mind: Recently the ability to preview items not for your class was disabled. (Ok, it was a bug and a fix is coming for it, non-the less) Why then if such a feature exist, is there not a feature to prevent, or at least WARN, a purchaser that the item he is about to buy is not for his/her class. A “sure you would like to continue” pop-up. Certainly this will prevent non-class related mishaps if they want to insists that items are soulbound on purchase. Won’t help with runes, I agree. But at least a ranger wont end up with an “oopsy” light glove he/she can’t do anything with.
I know. Just wanted to make sure Anet gets it as well
Why not. I second that.
Should exclude GW1 achievements though. Not everyone has played GW1. So would be a bit unfair to a newer player base.
Did a search, could not find anything specific, so, I’ll just make a thread:
Weapon colour customization. WHY, is that not available?
All I can say is; I am not happy.
Different timezone. So, stayed up pretty late to play, deciding, “well, you know, it is a one time thing, I can take a one-day knock at work and suffer through it.”
So, when you sit past midnight on a working night, repeatedly trying to log on… Yeah, not only do you get a little angry that night, but the next day when you are pulling hard amp’s, yeah, it boils up a little. Then, you hear about all these exotics that people got… and I could not even log on despite waiting up!
Come on!
Paying more than 800… may as well make a new character then. Still think it should not be too excessive. Could have it add up though. For example, changing 1 thing cost X, 2 will cost X+Y, etc.
Champions Online has one of the best re-customizations options I have ever seen. Not only do the avatars look amazing for an older MMO, you have complete freedom to change your character once you created it, going to a stylist and paying in-game currency to have a new “outfit” designed. By outfit, I mean avatar really. You can change everything from muscle tone and size, to robotic limbs, wolf heads, no legs, heck even something as detailed as chest size, and as arbitrary as a hair style.
AND, you can have several “outfits” available to you. Once you purchase a new outfit, you can store it. I can’t remember exactly, but I think you can have up to five of these character skins which you could change to any time after you have bought them. And obviously, customize them as much as you like afterwards as well.
And since it is just a skin, it made virtually no difference to the game at all.
ON THE SAME NOTE: Weapons and armour skins. And not WHOLE package skins for armour. Individual pieces such as the stuff you can get in the Frozen North.
Transmuting is cool and all, but it always feels like a crime to me, transmuting one exotic set into another, just for a specific “look”. Culture armour is the worst of this. It is not exotic, so transmuting an exotic set into that skin really is the only option if you want to have the best “fordable” stuff. (And that is using the word fordable very painfully in this case.)
Here is the madness of it:
Exotic Armour
Rarity: Exotic
Level 80
Average price: 2.5 gold
Culture Armour
Rarity: Rare
Level 35, 60 and 80
Average price: 25 Gold
On which planet does this make any sense?
SURELY, if you can swing a potion back and change into a rabbit, then changing skins can’t be such a big deal.
1000 gems however… no. That is not realistic either. A lot of the games’ economists are less than well thought out. Please lets not add to that.
In game currency based on level, sure. But please, lets keep this in the sub-gold domain. Cost of changing crafts would be a good base-line for this.

Firstly, in the Trade post. This was suggested already, but I want to re-visit the matter. What is the chances of building one additional search filter into the search tab? Type – IE: If I am looking for heavy armour, show me only the heavy armour.
Secondly; What are the chances of allowing players to edit their character-avatars after creation? I mean, with a potion or two any character can look like a Moha Bird or devourer. So why would it be a problem to allow for some basic after-creation editing? Heck, I would even be willing to pay for the services of a conveniently placed hairdresser or stylist to have the chance to change a feature or two on some of my characters, things I did not know or consider on creation but now wish I could change to make it work/fit with my current “look”. Hair and eye colour, hair stile, skin tone, etc.
