T3 light set is one of my favorite set of armor in the game just fits so well with any light armor class. Pic with my mesmer Nazzami.
There are many viable PvE builds.
If you prefer pistol oriented s/p-s/f playstyle and/or value faster disenchanter attacks, sacrificing a few percent of phantasm dps for quicker phantasm attacks (PH is a ~12% DPS boost for duelist) is worth it, which makes the build 10/20/0/20/20.
Going 20 deep for phantasms haste is pointless at the moment as it is bugged and only effects the iduelist as i recall.
Well the current PvE meta i think are the 10/20/0/25/15 or the 10/30/0/20/10 builds both are good for PvE stuff.
Asura Engineer: Calibrations
If you craft a full set of ascended berserker armor the total increase in stats would only be .
+14 power
+11 precision
+1% crit damage
http://dulfy.net/2013/12/12/gw2-ascended-armor-stats/ has the comparison for all armor sets
It terms of healing skills Ether Feast is the usually the standard heal for most Mesmer’s.
As for your build it would be helpful to mention where it is for e.g PvE, PvP or WvW.
if your looking for a condition build then the Blackwater build is probably the best you’ll find at the moment you can find it in the Mesmer build guild on these forums.
I’d keep in mind tho that condition build are more gimmicky in PvE content compared to PvP and WvW so you may wish to look at using a power build when playing general PvE.
i run a similar might stack build but with a nader engineer however i suggest taking a look at runes of altruism you get the same effect with 4 runes compared to 6 noble runes
been playing around with the gear on my engineer for a little while now and personally I’ve found full rampager using might stacking to be pretty effect for pve/dungeons.
my current build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcQQJAqel0piY3zyuF1LJyoCdGoCAmIF5nl95xb9gQIA-jUCBohAYLIYNgkIA5PFRjtIcasVXBRdDTBjIqWKgFFGB-w
I’ve been able with this build to keep a constant stack of 18ish might going by switching between nades/medkit and been getting good number in both condition/direct damage.
I’m still playing around with my sigils but battle is a definite much if you plan to might stack for your kits so i think a permanent bonus of direct damage/ duration/ condition damage to go with it might work?
All I can think of right now is Malchor shouting, “DWAYNAAAAA~!”
First thing that came to mind when i saw the title
The last boss reminds me of long winded version of the machine tyrant from secret world same type of fight mechanics.
Not a bad thing just tedious/long winded at the end.
What do you want to do in WvW? Roaming? Zerg battles? Party roaming? All 3?
you forgot stealth trolling
The ability to self detonate the skill during the channel would also work. I think that there was a similar discussion about this ages ago but anet don’t give buff to mesmers.
Another rubbish match up for deso.
No issue with any challenge but a fair bit of this seems to be based on luck of the draw
Not easy enuf to farm you mean magi?
The dungeon takes teamwork and skills and ability to move and self heal.
ITS GREAT!!!
I don’t remember saying anything about it being easy or hard, only that the end boss is long winded. If i want a dungeon to farm ill do what everyone does and do cof.
last boss fight is far to long winded need to be much shorter that all i have to say about the whole dungeon the rest of its is like a copy and paste from the secret world hell rising dungeon
I just tried the 30/30/10/0/0 build it seemed okay not too great due to you can only get burning after certain time interval but the condition duration is better for more condition stacking. But, what are some advantages for the 0/30/10/0/30 build?
i think its comes down to double fear duration and stability
i really wish Dhuumfire was in the curses tree instead of spite it a great skill for condition and would mean we could have access to all condition then but 30 deep may be abit much even with it giving 30% condition duration
Would be nice if they were merged into one but i feel then i would be too strong for a adept trait. It would be likely if they did to be moved up to a least master
Playing on a condition necro and my torment is hitting (without food or any might) for about 3500 on a 12 sec duration.
I’m using a 30/30/10/0/0 build currently
tainted isnt effect by death shroud cd reduction trait it remains at 40sec regardless
if your after the burn trait then you need the 30 into spite for the trait i would also say for condition build that you need a least 20 – 30 points in curses which would leave you with 10-20 which i would put into ether death or blood for ether the unblock able marks or the dagger cd.
so something like this maybe (im still playing around with it myself):
30/30/10/0/0
30/30/0/10/0
30/20/10/10/0
i don’t think any is needed for extra ds time even for taint since you can go out of ds after you cast it and the skill will still continue
I understand what the op means by the 3 teams instead of 3 servers, however for it to work each “team” would have to be a groups of 3-4 different servers per each team and they would have to be balanced out so that you don’t end up with having all 1 tier server all on the same team. So for example you would need to balance team out like:
Teams would be something like
Server 1 is from ether T1/ T2
Server 2 is from ether T3/ T4
Server 3 is from ether T5/ T6
It could solve the problem for wvw for alot of smaller server as they would then be teaming up with other larger sever however the problem of some severs having 24/7 coverage would still be a problem unless eu/na/as players are block from joining from out side there respected region.
During siege attempt on stone mist keep (no wall upgrade) we manage to bring down a section of the wall of stonemist only then to have a immortal stone wall section be place down while the rest of the wall remained wooden see screens below:

I’m aware ticket have been sent about this issue but i am currious as to where anyone know if this is a glitch/bug or even hax that happens before in other wvw matches.
The list.
- God Mode (infinite health)
- Magic Find Hack
- Invisibility
- Cool Down Hack
- Wallhack (noclip)
- Speedhack
- Flying Hack
- Teleport Hack
- Auto Looting
- I think your talking about bunker builds
- No idea please explain this one?
- Rendering bug
- This one is true
- i think “wall-hack” is bug cause by leap/teleport skills
- Speedhack i think this is quickness buff
- The flying issue is rare but it not hack related
- This relates to the so called “wall-hack” again
- Auto looting?
I think most of the people have left really due to the focus in game purely going to fractals leaving the rest of the game world.
Mesmers: the good, the bad, i still want to bang my face on fighting them
in Mesmer
Posted by: Magi.8643
This sounds like the main issue, the mesmer is essentially getting a lot of free stealth, that can easily mess up a fight…
This is a issue with all stealth skills not just the mesmer’s
This site would be useful for posting your build(s) in future http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/
Other than that cant really say anything about the build I’ve always played support/condition for WvW.
Nice idea other thing that could to add to this:
A timer for each illusion/clone attack, so you can identify when (or if they have already) attacked and give more control over when the best time to shatter is.
Another idea could be to show what boons each illusion has on them (might not be great for illusion but maybe this could be used for other classes as well i.e ranger/necromancer)
The decision between carrion vs rampager simply comes down to if you are using Sharper Image in you build or not if you are rampager gear what you want if not then carrion.
We aren’t the best farmer especially when there is a huge group like DE most of the time, we just attack to slowly to hit multiple mobs compared to other classes aoe nukes but in solo / small group farming were fine.
This is a pretty good build for a GS / Longbow build good for soloing and party’s been using it myself and haven’t had any problem with it:
http://en.gw2codex.com/build/10220-lasting-ranger
For the gear i went for power / toughness / vitality
Then the problem would be you will see every Mesmer running around with all 3 phantasms always spawned around them, it would be make it unfair, for say, the same Thief, to engage because you will have all the clones up already. They could make it so we could only spawn them when in combat, but I don’t see that happening either – because right now you can spawn them out of combat as long as the target gets into range, which is the way I prefer.
In conclusion, I think it’s fine right now as it is.
My answer to this is the necromancer. They can have there minions out all the time and from what iv seen from my time playing they are much more bulky have steady/ more reliable dps and a unique ability for each, compared to a mesmer’s illusion which are made of tissue paper and slow dps.
In my opinion this just really points to the shatter skills needing to be improved.
You should not be getting in the position where you feel ignoring the shatter skills and summoning skills that make up a huge part of the class is actually advantageous.
This is true if shatter were better for dps compared to having 3 illusions out then this problem would disappear, would be nice if they looked at improving shatter damage and delivery so when you do shatter your clone aren’t kill by a random aoe that drops in front before they reach the target.
Temporal curtain doesnt reflect it does however:
Create a wall of energy that grants Swiftness to allies who cross it while crippling foes who touch it.
Crippled: 5 s
Swiftness: 10 s
Combo Field: Light
Range: 900
My current build im running is this
http://en.gw2codex.com/build/6106-ball-of-confuse-a-cat-pump-panel-reconstruction
Instead of torch however im using a pistol . As for stats im going power/vitality/ condition damage (carrion set). Pretty much a stop hitting yourself build.
For a condition type mesmer building confusion will be your main type of attack the other conditions are still usful but just not as reliable. In terms of armor i think the best stats to go for are
power: it does add a small amount of condition
vitality: extra health
conditions damage: no need to explain
If your a tailor or have the money for it the carrion armors have all these stats
As for a conditions build i would recomend this one as it can build confusion easily:

my feeling if someone spots me
after casting the ele summons the skill turns into the timer for your summon remaining time before is disappears until the elemental you summon is gone or killed the skill will not recharge
none of the elite skills are realy that great elemental summons are the only one i would think of using but they are extremly stupid and attack anything that looks at them funny usally resulting in a horde of angery adds.
Playing as a asura elem tho and have the option of the D-series which does seem to pull arrgo away from me when im beening attacked and slighty smarter…
A staff elementalist is much more of a support role using your combos fields with others classes and your own finshers rather than a simple dps/healer. While your leveling however it will be better to go with a build that will do some damage healing type builds are better left one youve fully leveled out
My problem is that I’m playing staff ele, and in story quests where I have a tough NPC ally (Trahearne, for example) and am expected to fight 10 or 12 mobs, what happens is I lay down a single AoE and every single mob breaks from the NPC and comes straight for me, ignoring the ally completely. Which is a problem, because, you know, elementalist. And the NPCs don’t contribute enough damage to actually help me out.
I know how to swap attunements, and I do it – 30 points in arcane – but when all my CC is on cooldown there’s not much left to do.
A good tip if your ever doing any quest with a ncp (or one of your summons) is to tell them attack first they do rubbish damage but usally last long enough for a few aoes with out having the group arrgo towards you.
ive only been playing for a while almost 60 but im wondering if there are other option to acquire equal quality armor/weapons besides crafting or will i end up beening forced into it as it the only way to gain access to end game items.
ive tried crafting a few time but ive found to be buzz kill while i playing due to absorptive sums of trophys i required to make a single set of armor or weapons meaning that the time i was playing was spent around farming one area for 70+ is this going to end up beening the norm for the rest of the game? or are there other options?
