Anet, you’re losing some players here.

An engi has great abilities to take down a mesmer anyhow,
I’d advice you to listen to the guy above here, as he is right.
Besides that, condi’s nail shatter mesmers quite hard aswell,
as they do not (besides maybe nullfield, but in higher tier pvp you use decoy anyways)
have any condi cleanses. I think your biggest problem is the targetting,
just make sure you’ve got the real one

For the portal of the mesmer. Nope. There’s nothing you can do besides waiting.
The strenght of a mesmer besides a decent spike is its mobility and that’s
what could make the diffrence bringing in a mesmer into a match.

I’ve been doing 2 fractals a day quite a while now.
I do not find it hard to complete them, altho it feels like
a waste of time really..

Neither it is very supporting for our Guild name,
those gossips go around very quick and sooner or later we’ll be the ‘ddossing Guild ReVo’.
I had some screenshots saved but seems like I’ve already deleted them, basically it was just me reacting on their accusings. I felt a bit stunned especially when they said ‘What a coincidence, it’s always when we’re against ReVo’.

I’d much rather they introduce new, pvp exclusive skins rather then add fractal skins into pvp. I like the fact that when I run into someone with fractal skins, I know he’s a veteran of fotm. It would also be cool if there was a set of weapons/armor that showed you are dedicated to pvp.

Neither you can say fractals requires skills, a braindead mouse could do the job aswell.
It’s either expensive(to get exotic/ascend armor/trinkets) and time consuming.

And basically I don’t want to spend my time on something really boring in order to obtain some skins. If it actually was a real challenge, more skill involved, I’d love to do those runs. But it’s not.

Have you ever checked the ESL weekly cups? Do not tell me PvP is a joke, untill you’ve participated in the high tier tournaments. That’s one of the reasons why the way of obtaining those skins should be somehow made that you can not just ‘farm’ them.

Issue with the balthazar backpiece is that even a fly could get it. sit in a farming server for a few hours. I’d say that if you want things to be PvP exclusive, make reward tracks unlockable at rank 35-40 or even 80 and make ranks harder to get. Anyone can hop into PvP and get all the rewards with little to no effort, while if you want to come to PvE, you need an exotic armor set, expensive runes/sigils, food, learn how to play the part of PvE that you need for the item and then it takes a long time. Like fractals weapons. You need to do x amount of fractals to get to x level and each fractals takes 1,5h. Then you have a small chance of getting a fractals weapon and you need to repeat and repeat and repeat the fractals until you get lucky and get exactly the weapon that you want. It’s a lot of time all of us would prefer to spend PvPing.

And can not be compared with fractal weapon skins (one skin for each different weapon type) + They look freaking awesome!

Keep in mind that even if Fractal weapon skins are ‘exclusive’ to PvE,
PvP has nothing ‘exclusive’ at all. If one aspect of the game has exclusive skins,
another should get it to.

another kitten here making your lives terrible coming up with a suggestion!
Now that said, I like Fractal weapon skins. I like fractal weapon skins a lot.
I am a dedicated PvP player, running my own guild and I find it extremeley
annoying to do a part of the game that I don’t like at all, in order to get nice skins.
I’ve been putting a lot of work into creating a legendary and I really can’t be kitten d doing boring dungeons (well, for me fractals is kind off a dungeon) in order to get those skins.

So just throwing in an idea: Would it be an idea inventing Fractal tracks into the PvP system? I feel like the current PvP reward system improved a bit, but compared to the hard work you put into it to improve yourself, it feels like miauws (‘cause kitten is too mainstream). So just a Fractal track which allows you to get the weapon skins out of boxes but just with a low succes rate, so it’s as hard to obtain them as if you’re doing the real fractals.

Agreed. I would even pay a one-time (or yearly, or whatever) fee in gems to have a pass to a restricted area with a bank and a TP. Just stop making me load 2-3 maps every time i have to do something.

Why complain about having a bank in the mists? I would say MOST people can just press “B” click their home BL then run right around the corner to the armorsmithing station and bam…a bank. And it is free, so just give the PvP pop a bank as well. I know I would sure love one.

Someone already put up a good argument point for this statement, that WvW isn’t always accessible. Sometimes there is a queue which for players in a hurry will cause them to spend some silver to get to a place with a bank instead of going to WvW for free.

Put the banker in but give him/her a waypoint fee’s worth of silver to access. Done.

Well, I do agree on what he says, it fits into the game, you still get payment (if that was even such a big problem) and we’ll get a bank in HotM, love the idea!

Besides that, just think about the PvP community aswell, who actually don’t care about silvers that much, but just want to get acces to storage when your inventory bugs out with all the trash you currently get in PvP…

that said, it happens quite often, indeed and it’s very annoying.
Altho sometimes you really can’t help it, either due disconnect or any other reason in real life. I had to pull off once with my granny falling down the stairs and noticing being called kittened once back in the game.

I do agree they should find a solution tho, like replacing the inactive player for instance.

Hello there Guilds

I am looking for a place to stay while doing PvE.
Now shortly a view on my situation:

I am leading a Guild myself, PvP exclusive. So as I am
a hardcore PvP’er I don’t play PvE very often.
But when I want to (most likely at mornings) no one seems to be around able/prepared to play some dungeons, fractals, etc..

That’s why I am looking for a laid back PvE guild which can help me with my desires as I do care how my characters look like and that’s the only reason you’ll find me doing PvE. Keeping in mind that I wont be very active, neither representing much.

It is possible to beat a thief, alltho the thief doesn’t have to be too experienced to kill you.
You can’t make any mistakes if you end up against one,
but don’t think it’s impossible to beat them

What I mostlikeley do is go for a distortion when they jump on me, most likeley they’ll jump back, that’s when you try to close in on them and try a shatter blink combo.

I’m not saying that this works for the full 100%, but it does work from time to time when I’m trying it myself. It is very tricky to fight a thief, most likeley I just pull off and try to get away, but when I really have to fight them (keeping a point contested for example, when no one of your teammates is able to help you out) I just don’t panic out and try to make the best of it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

You can be the pain in the kitten for thiefs in teamfights aswell, if you stealth for example first. Who attacks first most likeley wins it. Suprise the thiefs, they like it

About the other 2 points you’re absolutely right aswell, I wasn’t paying much attention as I was too tired, but I needed some quick footages
But I must admit I didn’t think about the weapon swapping while destroying turrets before, I did expect an incoming engi tho and didn’t want to have anything on cooldown.

Keep in mind that the cleansing ire removes three conditions and that it will blow off your adrenaline.
Besides that you are not choosing which condi’s get cleansed.

If you get chained feared by a necro, you don’t even have the chance to make use of the cleansing ire. And yes, the good necro’s manage to get you struck in there chainfear if you blow your stances to early. If you aren’t, you’ll get the signet of spite on you. Clean that and they’ll remove your boons with corrupt boons and boom even more condi’s. I don’t know if you guys ever watched your condi’s carefully, but after your berserker stance runs of, it becomes a very rough fight. the 3 conditions you clean with the cleansing ire wont make that big of a diffrence. I usually find myself getting the necro’s really really low, them popping death shroud and have the feeling I need to kill them twice. Good condi necro can make it a kittene for warriors and can be won by both classes in my opinion.

Warriors are strong atm, but isn’t that what they are supposed to be as a heavy armor class? Rather improve other classes than dump down warriors through the drain.
Leave the warriors, they’re fine.

Some great ideas here guys! This skill is something we’ve been looking at, as it’s a little underwhelming at times.

Here’s a bunch of potential things we could do (we would do one or maybe two of these, not all:

1. Look at making it usable on the move. Currently, the animation is ONLY able to be used while standing still.
2. Increase the number of boons removed.
3. Increase the radius.
4. Make this a channeled skill that pulses AOE damage and boon removal while you hold the sword in the ground.
5. Multi-stab! You choose multiple ground targets and stab all of them simultaneously (or one-after the other). We don’t have tech for this yet… but it’s a possibility!
6. ???
7. Profit!

3 and 4 togheter would make this such an awesome skill and add a lot of worth to the mesmer according to Tpvp and it’s use in big teamfights!

I do nothing else than playing Pvp, got our own team and right now I find the rewarding system absolute crap. And you’d like to remove it? Thumbs up, really!

I main mesmer aswell, having the same struggles. What I usually do when I see a s/d thief running around when I’m alone, is turning my kitten around and leave him. Yes there is a small chance you get him down. But that tells more about the thief than about you, the current meta is not really supporting Thiefs Vs. Mesmers, just don’t give them the chance to jump on you, stay out of their range, as it’s really a 5 points you throw away if you even think of starting the duel. I know it’s a pain. But with the right party set up in your team, you might be able to get them and dance on their graves Sadly enough, you can’t do it on your own. But I guess we’ll have to learn to live with that fact.

Altho we’ve done some work with our tpvp team, that protected me against thief, just jumping on the thief before he was able to jump on me, I was happy to see them melt

It gave us a pretty squiqshy team set up, but honestly awesome to play with
(we ran with Fresh air ele, shatter mesmer (me), venom sharing thief, warrior and guard) which was much fun

According to what you’re saying, you’ve tried to whisper me several time.
As I am nor immortal, nor woman, I can’t multitask. It sometimes happens we’re in a match while I get whispers. Well, we tpvp quite a lot, as we’re a tpvp guild, so I can tell you it happens quite a lot. Whispers get sometimes lost, it happens. If we wasted youre time (Still wondering how we did that), I’m sorry for that. After all, I’m not too sad that I didn’t seem to receive your whispers or they got lost, as we don’t need people like this in our guild. That’s just my 50 cents,

I have no experience with lockdown mesmers so far. Only been nolifing shatter so far.
Altho I’d like to have a closer look to the lockdown mesmers, builds/hints/tips are welcome

Axe/sword is rubbish tho :/ It’s not much of a team supporting build as it requires you to kite way too much.

Axe/shield longbow is way more usefull, as you can use your soldiers amulet without any problems because of the sigil of intelligence and the great might stacking on your longbow and 2 leaps. Besides that, you’ll be able to stay on points if needed and can outduel most other classes/specs

About the colours, I’m whitish + blueish, much fun

Exactly, love to run that trait
besides that, it’s really easy to kill a thief running any evis build.
Crit them down with like 7-8k hits
