I’m really surprised JQ’s xfer guilds are getting along so well with the natives. I expected a little drama, but I have seen none. Obviously they all made a good decision as to were they’d have the most fun and fit in the best. JQ’s main strength is that we just like to wvw… no big secret, no big secret strategies, very little drama. It has been very entertaining vs SoS for us, and we are about to get our 2nd win over these monsters. (I hope!)

I can say I’m really impressed with BG this week. The first week they came in hard and got socked right in the nose. The second week you could see them working things out, and this week they are in good fighting condition. They simply lack coverage at times. This week in my mind they have earned the T1 T-shirt.

I was leading our gank groups and commanding later, and the best defender of SoS BL was BG. Yes I purposefully was 2v1ing Bg all night, and they wouldn’t budge from the freaking garri! Great fun was had by all. I had this memo from BG stating we were going to 2v1 SoS tonight…

Sometimes I admit I wasn’t sure who’s BL we were in as BG and SoS were actively defending Titans Paw it seemed. I just wanted to build ballistas and farm chickens, I promise!

Now for the real talk…WHO’S excited to fight all these up and coming new “we are t1 servers?!”

Just be ready for all the hatred towards BG/SoS/JQ/SoR as they smash their way back to T1 again after a couple weeks. It will be fun to fight new opponents. JQ rarely gets to fight anyone “new!” We love to stab new people and break their stuff!

I can say all of the big 4 are looking forward to fighting with Kain though =)

I’d personally like to smash TC a little at some point, for some reason. TC has some hibs I know that need a good shanking!!

We fight up to 15/20ish and win sometimes, 12-15 win often in our “8-man.” We play dirty, and play to win, while helping our team scout/take/reduce objectives. Most of the time our only threat is another small guild group of our size on the other team.

Remember if Fiesty goes back to T2…SHE has to transfer to JQ and post our scores!!!!

I’ll even pay her Gem costs for both xfers =)

A couple weeks ago my guild launched 27 break out events on SoS Borderland. Back to back. Each time SoS responded with enough people to swamp us plus NPC commander, plus our siege. I think we were successful twice out of the entire time. We had 20 people. During the later of the 27 events, we barely had 10 on a couple attempts.

You have been in T1 9 weeks? 8 weeks? And you’ve lost one match… The JQ Apocalypse is not coming. It is not coming. It’s not coming. Not coming. BOO!!! =)

I am rooting for the underdog in BG for this weeks matchup though. I think they might have what it takes to over take SoS!

Some people from opposing servers, it would seem, do not like fighting versus a server who may have a similar wvww population. (Que times are only really a problem, for EVERY t1 server on reset day and prime times during the weekend on the 2 most popular maps. On BL’s the max I’ve seen is 15m during NA Prime on a weekend.)

JQ’s approach to WvW has always been different than SoS’s approach to WvW. Hopefully people will find the style they love the most on any server and enjoy their playtime.

I am allowed to keep my super elite fighting force of a guild out of BG BL’s to try to skew the results, I think I shall do so. More so as 10gp is alot of money to someone with 12gp!

The reality is, that if BG just 2v1’d SoS in EB the rest of the week, only on one map even, I’d be 10gp richer. No real BG’er should be able to resist saying they were the server who kicked SoS back to T2.

Also, anyone know more about the rumblings that some key SoS Oceanic/Sea guilds are transferring to TC to fight against Warmachine?

BG is really close to bumping SoS down into T2 at the moment. Good show so far. I have a 10gp bet with some friends that you will pull it off.

JQ is very light pop 10pm pst-3am pst. What is that GMT +/-? It would be great to have some guilds to fill that time slot. I’ll buy the arrowcarts! =)

Nice vids. Zerg surfing is fun. The most fun thing about zerg surfing is when you find another enemy thief that is doing the same thing. Then you have to have ‘ye old epic duel in the middle of the zergs to see who’s turf it is! =)

The longest que I’ve had on JQ was about 15 minutes, on reset day. Probably about the same for all T1 and T2 servers. No idea were anyone is getting 1hr que’s from, ludicrous at this stage of the game.

My guild took about 6months choosing a server that we thought would best support us and have the most stable long term community as well as the strongest wvw community that would support wins, losses, with the lowest drama.

We chose JQ and have not been sorry about our decision. Server decision is the most important for any pvp/wvw guild. We have been pvping for 20years and JQ is probably the best choice for a pvp/wvw server that we have made.

RG is happier than a pig in slop at the moment, they are overwhelmed with the # of SoS they can run around and massacre to their hearts content.

Also we refer to our non-grouped, non-ts users on JQ as ‘Da Boyz. IE.. "Mance it’s going to take us all day to ninja this keep, turn on your pin and rally up ’Da Boyz!" (Alot prefer to be called Honey Badgers, but a zerg of honey badgers might be equally as scarey as an Orcish horde!)

15mins on EB not to bad.

WvW you only run into que’s on reset night and occasionally during EB of about 5-10mins during the week. Not even SoS fills 4 maps with que’s except on reset night.

I think SF made a great choice. I think they’ll fit right in with JQ. Heck, the average SF player has probably spent more time “around” a JQ than most JQ have haha.

SF and Prx are also filling a sizeable whole in JQ coverage during NA, they will have all the fight they can handle plus enjoy the support of the dozens of JQ’s smaller wvw ex-daoc stomp your face guilds. (If members of either guild find yourself surrounded by Shadow Gypsies thieves suddenly attacking you, just shout "same team same team you drunk @#$%’s! =) )

Onto further news for JQ and BG: SoS is recruiting to fill “coverage gaps”…

Even T1 servers NA (except probably SoS I don’t know) only have que’s on about 2 borderlands, and that is on reset day.

On JQ and BG you will only occasionally get a que in EB throughout the week of maybe 5mins.

The reason I like T1 is it IS around the clock pvp. If I stay up late I can enjoy teamspeak and pvp with our oceanics/sea. If I have an afternoon off or morning I enjoy teamspeak and pvp with our Euro’s. I find it very fun especially with JQ’s global teamspeak.

I think the moderator said you can only have one recruitment thread open at a time or something.

Very true Wrath. Nobody wants to feel like they are at work when playing their favorite game. However, if your form of play is farming the lemming bandwagon zerg…well just send me a /tell in game saying “thanks Mance” after you open up with your first arrowcart/ballista on the ye ol’bandwagon zerglings.

Oh, and to the couple folks who have messaged me, Yes I will buy your first AC to farm the “zergwhichshallnotbenamed” BUT… you have to split the profits with me 50/50! =)

The problem is that the wvw maps are so small for an open world pvp setup. The small groups and solo’s can’t hide from the zerg coming down the road on their way to the next big siege. BL’s you “almost can”, but every map is a circle…

I’m hoping that JQ and BG get alot of wvw’ers from the closing of free server transfers to address both their coverage issues vs SoS. Then we just have to add some jello to have continuous epic three ways!

BG and JQ have to work in tandem to bring down the current big dog. The math is simple. Neither one of us field the #‘s to do it alone. So we have to play smarter, and smash them. We saw this yesterday alot. And truthfully I don’t think SoS cares, they finally have some big equal # epic fights going on, and they don’t have to feel as zergy.

Also JQ isn’t into it’s prime time of the week yet, that starts tonight. You will see why SoS trys so hard to at least get a 20-30k lead on us by Wednesday. =)

The scoring system treats each server as a separate match versus the other.

For example BG taking JQ’s points doesn’t help BG ratings, it helps SoS ratings as it makes the SoS vs JQ matchup more in favor of SoS and etc etc. This is done in an effort to PROMOTE 2v1 on the top server. This is WHY we have a WvWvW system of 3 realms.

So once BG settles into T1 and the novelty of fighting a new opponent wears off for JQ. Both servers should secure their home BL’s, and fight it out over SoS BL and EB. Thus ensuring future losses for SoS and ludicrous fights like we had yesterday in SoS BL garrison.

(Also did Jedah’s say he was humble a couple posts up? Speaking of ludicrous…lol)

A-net made most thief weapon sets crap and or nerfed them, and untouched the one that needed to be looked at if they can’t fix culling.

For reasons sake, there a ton of swashbuckling armors/weapons etc, yet these are the worst thief sets/styles? Some of us love being backstab goons, but about 75% would loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove love love to be something else.

Also, your classic counter to a “thief” is a “ranger type,” and your “ranger types” are nothing but free kills to good thieves 1v1 wvw.

A non-guildy from the guild AoS on JQ gave me 7 golems, 3 trebs, 4 ac’s, and 6 rams for Christmas.

I saw (Tewchainz a charr dressed in some kind of day-glow pink armor) again tonight, and he chased my thief group while ringing an xmas bell around the map for a bit.

Moral of the story: You can do whatever you want with your siege, but if you donate it, people don’t care if you get drunk and cross dress on Sundays occasionally.

My guild had a ton of fun today in BG BL, thx for the fights. We had 8 thieves at one point with a couple “civilians.” Any BG know who the warrior/guardian squad was that kept chasing us away from longview?

Later we were trying to foster the BG/JQ alliance by trebbing down Gari and 2v1 SoS, but BG wouldn’t let us play in the reindeer games and took Cliff eventually. I know we aj’d each other a couple times at garri, but cmon! What’s a little aj between allies?!

Oh, and a big shout out to my JQ puggers who helped us hold down BG BL tonight, you guys are rock stars!

Recruiting a couple more hardened but casual and drama free pvp types for WvW. Must have a boat and a hot woman, pst with pics of the boat.

JQ loves it when people “doom” us into 3rd place, especially on day 2 of a 7 day match and we are only down 3k =)

Very refreshing fighting BG in T1 and the different dynamic. I think the bandwagon kitten that gave BG a bad name must have moved. The new BG we face is definitely here for business.

We’ve been allied with SoS for 6 weeks or so is why. But next week we are going to ally with BG.

Last week was our first T1 win ever…

I’m still sad that nobody but Merc takes breaks from the game. You all should be ashamed of yourselves the rest of GW2.

Also thank the heavens Merc was the only guild in GW2 to have xmas this year, Tixx was barely able to make all his toys with just “the rest of us” slaved to our cpu’s making princess dolls 24/7.
