If SBI does drop to T2, I’d get busy reinforcing your doors. They are NOT nice neighbors. I will be throwing eggs at the bus as they leave town though, in an effort to get some on cover girls face. =)
I liked the video. There is a guild on BG called Tnt? Tni? Tandnsomething… I am looking forward to them coming back as well, I had many many long duels with some of their members. I will miss SF/Mord from SBI has I get into good scraps with them as well. Both JQ and the Snosberries have great oceanic guilds, so I think you’ll enjoy yourselves. =)
If they would make the maps bigger, then small mans/solo’s could avoid the zerg much much easier. That is the biggest problem imho.
If you like the biggest mass combat or the most target rich environment (playing against SoS you’ll have both) T1 is the best place to be. Plus, who doesn’t like killing Roosters, especially ones on teams, in depressive oceans?!
JQ is pretty international as far as server pop goes. We have some excellent Asian and Aussie guilds, as well as NA of course.
Alot of our pick up groups/zergs can and will wipe the named “l33t guilds” on other servers, which always makes it entertaining to wvw on JQ.
A couple weeks ago in our community wvw ts server, I was entertained by an Aussie and one of our Asian members debating that the other one was indeed sexier, in two different accents. While trying to wrap my head around the discussion I was ran over by SoS members #45839745-#44895745, but it was well worth the repair bill. =)
JQ needs alot of NA players. It’s not like you don’t know us well after 3 months? If SBI had name tags, I would have probably hung out more with some of you than my own guildies =)

I had a naked norn in my war party today. I think everyone fought better as no one was willing to go into the “downed state.”
We just have some Nobz who rally up Da Boyz for a nice WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! when we wish to be green again. =)

It also the most stable server both wvw/pve and 24/7 population. Meaning…if you like gw2 and intend on playing it for a long time, you will want to be on JQ to have the best experience when population #’s dwindle.

The SBI propaganda machine stated they are sending JQ to T2. So I don’t see how any of this matters…
I attack large groups all the time. Except if there is ONE player with is head not up his rear end, I usually have to get out of dodge really quickly. (I always have a sneaking suspicion that that ONE player has a freaken thief alt/main also! Traitor!)

JQ has a ton of old daoc guilds that run small mans. This is one of the main strengths of JQ, and helps us stay in T1. I personally run one every night for my guild.
Imho, JQ is by far the best to be on if you want to run small man groups or solo gank. I know of about 9 guilds who run daily 5man on JQ. I rarely see 5mans on SBI/SOS. Also you’ll still be in T1 so there is alot of targets.
p.s. BG was fun to fight for me, as they had roamers and alot of small mans as well.

Alert during the upcoming days? You haven’t even faced half of JQ yet and probably 70% of SBI as well on the battlefield yet. You haven’t experienced DoorMachine either. (I do love DoorMachine, btw, I wish they were NA so I could fight them more.)
Both SBI and JQ aren’t 1 week wonder servers. BG found this out the hard way after a really grueling 3 week stay in Tier 1. We’ve been slaughtering each other on a large scale for months. SBI and JQ do not look at wvw from weekend stand points, or week standpoints like all the previous servers you have faced. A kindly word of advice, as I do hope you stay and do well, it makes for better fights, If I may…
You should consider yourselves a brand new force that has just entered some sort of trench warfare akin to WW1.
You now have firm control over “no mans land” after the weekend. The sparkles you see coming from the trench lines directly to your north and your south, are in fact the Cheshire Cat grins of your new friends SBI and JQ.

I feel bad for the SBI pvpers who have to endure the bandwagon players. On a side note instant que’s and farming the bandwagon is super fun. JQ is shaping up to be a wvw’s paradise as intended.
BG please send your w3 capable oceanic/eu players to JQ so they can also enjoy bandwagon farming on a solid T1 server. Same with you SBI, once your oceanic/eu players get tired of playing player vs. door for 8hrs a day.

Why didn’t the ele die for 6:50’s? Clearly the class is op. How was anyone able to possible outlast the “op” thief for 6:50?
All this is, is a good duel video for 7mins showing the strength of two classes. Looks pretty balanced to me.
I watched the vid again, still a great duel.
The duel doesn’t really show any problems imho with the thief class. Invis zergs etc are a problem granted, the video doesn’t illustrate that. It shows you fighting a stealth spec’d thief with very low dps because of it.
What do you think the thief was saying about not being able to kill a cloth wearing caster for 6:50? Your dps was also so much better than his that you were killing multiple mobs at times that you agrod with your ae’s and he still only got you under 50% health one time or so.
The video is a great duel between a well played thief and a well played ele, however. I enjoyed watching it. Do you think the thief also was recording, and he will make a forum post about op’d elementalists? He could title it…
" I used (his 3 stealth skills every min at least for 6 mins) 18 stealth abilities, my elite skill 3 times (maybe 4), backstabbed this cloth caster (not a tank in hvy armor mind you) and his pet (which makes it alot easier to use stealth) about 30 times, made him agro entire groups of mobs (which he killed np while fighting me at the same time), he chased me down several times (I’m supposed to be the most mobile class eva!), I continued to fight him for over 6mins AND I STILL COULDN’T KILL HIM! Plz nerf ele’s or I am quitting the game."

If you obviously have no clue how another class works, why shouldn’t they be able to keep you off of a point?
All you have to do is stack, then kill the thief when his stealth pops in 3 seconds. Welcome to pvp/w3 and not pve. We told our pugs complaining about this how to counter it, and it never happened again all night. Go complain about something else now.
