I have a good idea. Make something like “passports” available to players to buy. It’ll cost a certain amount of money, depending on how many trips are included in your pass. So like, 10s for a pass with 25 uses, or something. Fixed price for x passages.

Then they can have tiers. Like 3 different tiers, one for lower level areas (1-30), one for mid-leveled (30-60) then one for higher leveled areas (60-80) Each has different prices, and each tier can be used to transport to any city.

Saves cost for travelling for players who travel often (virtually everyone).

They could even introduce unlimited monthly passes. Pay an amount and get unlimited travelling in the month.

They need SOMETHING to make it more reasonable lol.

Exactly, nothing to be done at the moment. Thousands of players with issues….Nvidia/A-Net will likely work together to optimize the game engine for FPS stability, but right now, we just gotta deal with it.

Also to note, from what i’ve read (which is a lot on these issues, unfortunately) GW2 currently doesn’t support SLI configurations, so if you were wondering why your 2 580’s aren’t bringing about some awesome FPS, that’s why…as well, as it seems, vis-a-vis, concordantly, ergo….i’ve read to much about these issues and it’s driving me mad.

I might add that many have been saying that the game is CPU-heavy atm, but that’s unsubstantiated…

This is a problem many people are having, not just with the Black CItadel, but also with Lion’s Arch and The Grove. Not everyone, but many. A-Net is currently dealing with a myriad of issues, but they don’t seem to have a fix, or even acknowledged, the FPS issues people are having…this will probably get merged into the FPS issues topic, though.

I have to say….your account name is abhorrent.

Last night, I had a terrible experience in WvW…I mean, everything was fine, it was a blast and i’ve never seen anything like it before.

At a certain point, there was an insane battle. I don’t even know how many players were involved, I think it’d be impossible to know. When the action got insane, my sound (only in the game) completely bugged/crashed. I didn’t hear anything anymore, just a loud and intermittent beeping (sort of?) This had happened only once before, and it stopped when i closed the client. When i had restarted the client it was fine.

This time, however, seconds after the beeping started, the game completely froze, now generating a different sound. The only way to quit was to start task manager, etc…

Is this something others have experienced? It’s only happened twice in the countless hours of GW2 i’ve played over the last couple of weeks, and ONLY when i’ve been in the middle of some crazy action.

At this time, I have not had any luck taming the camera either.

They probably will be improving the camera system…hopefully adding a first-person view.

The only suggestion i can give you for that problem is to zoom in before getting into a tight, enclosed space so as not for the camera to go haywire when you get in there.

It could also be a pain in jump puzzles when you’re close to walls and whatnot, so take your time and refocus your zoom & direction.

Hopefully they improve this though.

No you’re not being a noob, lol. In fact, the prompt to leave the overflow can be annoying, so they’re adding an option to tell the game to leave you alone instead of asking you every 2min. The only real difference with staying in Overflow is that you may not be in the same server as someone you might have played with before. Other than that, it doesn’t affect gameplay, events, etc.

Also, you can set a pet to Avoid Combat. So for some pets, this can be useful, since they will stand near you, and, if you take the Fern Hound as an example, they have some skills that can heal you and others in the area. This can be increased with traits…

So if you’re not wanting your pet to jump into combat immediately, there’s other options available, and likely more will become apparent in the coming weeks/months.

I was reading about this a week ago, and Anet was saying that if you linked your accounts correctly, you would automatically get your HoM Stone in your inventory upon character creation…

Low and behold, i DID link them correctly, but i didn’t get the stones…but going to the Charr Vendor named “Scornheart” in Hooligan’s Route in Lion’s Arch did the trick. He sells it to you for…well, free. Double-click it and you’re in your HoM. Go to the vendor in the water on the lily pad, he gives you all the stuff you unlocked.

I agree. It wouldn’t make sense for the system to “punish” you for a death in PvP by damaging your armor, and then not counting it as an actual death…

Settings: All on high/ultra, Native sampling (only setting not on Ultra is the one which renders textures as they approach, forgot what it’s called :P)

FPS in most explorable areas, even during big events with many players: 50-60FPS
FPS in Lions Arch, The Grove, Rata Sum: hovers around 35-max 45FPS, never/rarely 60
FPS in Divinity’s Reach: steady 60FPS…weird eh…
FPS in PvP, WvWvW: never tried. But now im afraid to after all these posts.

Sometimes display stutters on load for 1-2 seconds, then smooth.

I was actually thinking of upgrading to a GTX670FTW, but after seeing the issues here, i think i’ll hold out…
