Switching to town clothes while underwater should make you switch to a swimsuit. I’d prefer to keep my armor on while fighting things, however.
It’s not the fact that it’s a hardened voice that bothers me as much as the fact that it sounds like an act rather than the characters normal voice.
Rebind the W key to strafe left and the R key to strafe right then lay your hand on your keyboard with your pinky finger starting at the Q key and ending at R. Bind evade to E and play around with it. It’s a much more natural feeling once you get used to it.
Hope this somewhat helps.

Warhammer online had this type of system, even though it actually took a percentage of your earned monster coin drop instead of coming out of thin air. It worked rather well, and the guild could set the particular tax rate to what they saw fit (within expectations).
This has most likely been brought up countless times before, but is character re-customization still on the table as something within the realm of possibility that can be done within a reasonable time frame?
Been wanting to give my charr warrior a bigger set of choppers now for quite some time. =]
Thanks!
I’m impressed. Responses have been a little cold lately, but I’m proud to support a company that continues to make a habit of this type of showmanship.
I could be persuaded to not mind a money grab-ish event every so often, but for your very first event only two months from release to be this gem focused is a little distressing to be frank. My only caution would be to tell the devs that they are walking a fine line with this.
Personally, I think this major focus on time limited gem shop purchases is taking advantage of particular players collector mentality, and I think that is somewhat wrong. It’s good to want to make money through your gem shop, but making those items super rare AND paid for by real cash is a recipe for disaster. Items should only ever be one OR the other; super rare OR paid for by cash. If not, I want to know my odds of winning an item like any other lottery.
Edit: Oh, yes! Costume storage, pretty please!

To be constructive:
- Work on addressing some of the easier bug fixes listed on these forums.
- Open up a sticky dev thread asking for potential abilities on a shortbow redesign.
- Decrease the casting time of longbow auto-attack and add a bleed every second shot.
- Remove the root while using a melee skill that evades.
- Improved pet AI.
Most important, BE VOCAL about acknowledging these issues!
The other attacks on the shortbow, particularly quick shot, crippling shot, and concussion shots, are very situational abilities that players would probably prefer saving for a time when best needed, and not something they’re going to toss into their attack sequence just because one of them happens to be off cooldown.
This hits the nail right on the head. I’m all for removing spam buttons in favor of real gameplay, but when 4 out of 5 of your skills are situational – that’s exactly what you get. I’d personally consider hitting my other 4 buttons right off of cooldown just because they were there “spamming” so it depends on how you view it.
There’s got to be a way to keep the acrobatic and situational aspect of the shortbow and adding more meaning to the other abilities.

lets make some memes out of this.
Play ranger they said,it would be fun they saidPhoto of a dev laughing: and then i said I’ll take a look on live right now!
No offense Anet im just want to put some humor in this really negative thread i know you are working for the best
What about keeping the first shot, and adding a chain to the first attack named split shot or something similar that applies two stacks of bleeding. That way you fill in some of the down time between longbow abilities, and justify a longer cast on ability 1. Not to mention, vulnerability and bleed seem like a good combination on a weapon such as longbow.
Just a thought.

Bump. Please increase the range of opening strike for triggering the 5 stacks of vulnerability, or provide a decent reason as to why being at range is not something a ranger should benefit from.
You can try out a sniper warrior; I had fun with this build, but I fear you won’t be the most valuable member of the team.
Being able to attack while invisible is a big fat no. Also the quickness coupled with the high dps and ability to close gaps and jump about like crazy is also a big fat no. Everything else is discussable
You have a point on quickness, which I think needs to be looked at for all classes, but attacking from stealth and high mobility are the key components of what makes a thief, a thief. Being controlled is a thief’s worst nightmare – most who have a problem with thieves build themselves glass cannon, and are surprised when they get taken down quickly.
If classes like Elementalists and Necromancers have problems, which I know they do, shouldn’t the concern be placed on making those classes more appealing, and not on sucking the fun out of every other class?

I have the same problem, my first character was inducted into the vigil and I got the banner on my account, but now after becoming an initiate in the Order of Whispers my banner is not unlocking.
It’s most likely that these problematic soulbound items were bought from a karma vendor. I guess this measure is in place to keep a high level character from farming karma, going back to a low level karma vendor and salvaging equipment for materials.
It happens to me too; it’s especially troublesome when in SPvP where there tends to be many tight spaces.
