I totally agree 100% that Reinforced gates/walls NEED to lose HP and defence, A LOT. Also, i really like the ideas that u stated and think it would make WvW a lot more interesting, since it’s gonna be more about fighting, than sitting in a reinforced tower using arrowcarts for hours and hours.

This defensive situation, should have a correct approach, different from the one you suggest (rams or golems), the siege must be cleared by a treb, including before he starts siege, the commander must clear the AC in the wall, in the process he will notice that is group getting too much damage, this indicates the existence of other siege, then he can order the building of a treb or trebs (don’t waste any supplies before you know the enemy defenses.)

If I want something I must be prepared to pay the price, make the enemy waste provisions, cut them the provisions, and be prepared to not succeed the 1st time, and don’t see this as a defeat, but like one step to victory.

There are so many situations in game that aren’t correctly done. Siege it’s a major one, defensive or offensive.

Its a funny situation yes. Hard but funny.

Let’s face it using a trebuchet is one of the most boring activities one has ever done in a game. Then you get the defensive counter trebuchet to bombard the offensive trebuchet and the game becomes a total trebuchet snoozefest.

Yes for me the siege is one of the funniest parts of the game, try to find the best place, establish a defensive perimeter for your offensive siege, this is all pure WWW, the “other thing” between guilds isn’t not part of it, it should be another chapter of the game, and I think it will be a success.

The other entire siege will stay forever.

English is not my first language, so some things might have come out the wrong way, my apologies.
I didn’t want to use RG as “RG only”, it was just an example of guilds with the similar mindset. I understand what you are looking for and I realize that you think t1 can’t offer what you’re looking for.
Even tho some might argue that guilds like WL or LNM (guilds I personally put in the same category as yours : highly skilled, looking for more than just points) are quite happy with VS and its 2hrs+ queues.
It’s sad for us on VS, because we liked a strong opposition better, but as it’s been said over and over, opposition on the long term comes with PUs, and you need something to help them structure. Sadly none of the other major EU forces took time to do so ; we’re now left alone with ourselves.

you are alone because noone can do what you have do on VS, only german can move all the www player on one server and probably destroy VS..but they don’t want to do this, couse they must suffer too high queue time.
so probably you will be alone forever.

in my opinion there is only one solution, do like german, split on all your server, use these week with no enemy in www and farm gold, move at least half of your manpower to other FR server.

we cannot manage all the pug like you, we have barrier language, half of my guild cannot understand english, we cannot manage a commander for every european language 24/24 online.

bow to every SFR commander that lead in english, and run with all our pugs.

You should recognize that other people may actually like the jumping puzzles, like the rewards of badges and siege bps and accept that not everyone thinks like you do.

I’m proud to say never been there!!! (For 7 month very active player of WWW).

Anet has made the correct changes so not to many go to JP.

They have made huge increase of the dropping rate of badges, and with that you can buy siege.

The dropping rate of siege as increased a little should increase more.

Many times happened to me defending our keep in EB (only If you have the keep you can do JP), and see in chat “Any Mesmer in JP?”

Before you start doing more comments on the right of doing everything you want, think in the others fighting so you can do it.

Like the NPC say “Someone as to fight, so you can be free”.

it’s a childish way to stop playing because you think you cannot win.
Every server blob actually. 1st time we encountered SFR starcruisers, we were surprised, we tryed different way to counter that, and the only effective way to, was to blob as well because at same number, we were better. Now the blob is the fashion and is killing the game slowly (because of side effects, such skill lags and IPS drop). Anet is guilty, because of nerfing AoE number of target or that everybody got same amount of XP, whatever number of ppl hiting the target ect …) . Players are lazy and plays the easiest way to get points and farm WXP.

We are waiting for a new challenger, expecting this one will be more effective and will last longers than the others before …

SFR returned to T1, 5 wins a row, not bad, possibly you don’t agree.

Patch+Free transfers to SFR, and we are going for the3rd week losing (or 4th ? I can’t care less atm).

The great VS server need 5 weeks, and we never know how many week more they need if SFR didn’t got hit by free transfer, and you came here full of yourself…

I find it sad but I think wvw is slowly dying .

It’s partly fault of a flawed system of scoring/rating designed by Anet(facts).
It’s partly fault of server EU/US splitting, which makes (with scoring system) coverage more important than skill or anything else (a unique international servers ladder wouldn’t had this issues).
It’s partly fault (well, it’s more a casuality that a “fault”) of a server due to their force out of scale off time compared to competitors (fact).
It’s partly fault (of Anet again) of losing the only real competitor for 1st place seen il last months, aka SFR, who got butchered by free transfers (fact).
It’s partly fault of VS, yes, their playstyle drove lots of ppl away from WvW and T1.
Intended or not, that’s it – just stating a fact, not really blaming VS on this tho.
It’s partly fault of skill lag that appeared in Feb patch, got worsened in March culling removal one, and isn’t giving any sign of getting away.

And, all in all, it’s a quite sad situation for the top of EU ladder.

I agree with all, the only exception, it’s the VS play style, they play as they want and can, and we can’t make them play as we want, but MagnusLL refers the way the others servers should play, to force WS play different.

Come on guys we need contributions for the improvement of WWW (Magnus LL yours are very good and a good manual for some commanders/players to read).

There are here several inputs here that Anet can use in order to improve WWW. Let’s all have a little patience, us and Deso, we are trying to rebuild, and takes some time to do that.

During rebuild time lets have fun, it’s still possible to play well and have fun. I had some great moments in EB during this weekend. I missed to play with Hjerim, and he was missing to play with us, he did a fantastic work with our pug army. We still have so many great commanders (I have to play more to Drq), guilds and players that stayed, and want to share watt they know with people.

I know that it’s very hard to start to play in the morning, when the map belongs to the enemy; I have lots of respect for you guys (last night I left a golem for you guys in EB starting area, to help you little), but right now, there is nothing we can do. If you are mad, just play better and better = follow commander, go TS, try to get as many points as you can. Coming here and bashing the enemy will not give us any points.

All to TS (if you need help feel free to go the TS in other maps, and see if anyone can help), you don’t need to speak, you can turn Wemil music off…I do:)

Anyone claiming to speak for the whole server or on behalf of us is either kittening or expressing his personal opinion, which does not in any way, shape or form represent our official opinion nor does it reflect our current mood and server situation.

I try to see others point of view in cluding people from other servers. Many here can state that.
Didn’t bring here any any inside issues from SFR.
I missed one meating because I was’t at home. the other meatings I had missed you know the reason (you had solved it).
Someone asked here why we are not using tags, I tried to explain and told the guy to contact me in game, and I will give him the rigth contact. Wemil coment? I just explained watt everyone know.
Talking works in both ways. If you get offended dont say it here, say it to me in the server (TS or Comunity Server by message)

Every single matchup we had strong opponents were pleasant matchups. The 5 sfr wins in a row were probably among the most pleasant because my fellow French friends started to shup up in this thread and grow stronger on the field.

Yes it’s hard to play with no tag on, impossible to play if you aren’t in TS. Yes we are forcing the use of TS. Feel free to not using it.

Because some guilds left the server, we think that now we have more PUG’s playing than guilds, se we need more coordination.

Man the fun today I hope no much cry from VZ you lost all your t3 keeps towers on home map The defence on bay was furious. But honestly blobing the hell of craigtop while we attack your garrison with Golems ? really your paid scouts failed so bad? As for double teaming you, what are you on about we had taken hills, so choice was bay or garrison.

Sfr attitude we only die if enemy blob, we never blob and we are always being double teamed. Stop embarrassing yourselves.

We were just looking for fun tonight and found it on the viz border, then eb. Would like to thank Viz for fighting tonight on Sfr border and not making any stupid excuses on here. Especially HUP who kicked our butts a couple of times.

Nothing like facts, last night around 10:30 when I entered EB, the usual, our map attacked by both sides, VS started to try our keep, they are around 50, we are “buffed” (ok outmanned), but keep was T3, and we repelled the attack, and start doing repairs, and flipped again the towers, VS attacked again, they didn’t go to the towers, but they did go directly to our keep, Deso did the same, they didn’t flip any of our paper towers, but they go to our keep and attacked other door.

Deso break in, VS leave (they just want to downgrade our keep, later they will take it more easy), and the glorious army of Deso took our keep.

Comments to Deso: Desolation.

PS: You still don’t get our attention because you don’t deserve it.

I know I shouldn’t post in this troll infested topic but … what are you talking about Vizunah killing the tier 1 ? I mean, do you think Vizunah radically changed his play style / number of people on the maps since SFR has come to T1 for the second time with its big number of WvW guilds ?

No, we are nearly the same as before, the ones who changed are SFR ( not saying it’s your fault, merely Anet fault with its stupid migration decision ). And THAT broke the balance of our match up, Desolation was able to kinda compete with VS for the second place because SFR new their only true ennemy was VS. Now that SFR is at the same level as Desolation there is no balance anymore :s

I know everyone is going to say that you don’t represent the server, its only your opinion, but I agree totally with watt you are saying here, let me just add a little more:

VS side – Yes VS is playing with same numbers, the only increase comes from the WWW patch, but all serves had that increase (Troma I think it’s better to keep working, and abandon the “other thing”);

Deso side – Completely true, in EB, we ignore completely Deso map (wen they are not there, late hours, PvD of course), we only go there to take trebs down, or to create a week spot on their map, and breathe a little from their attacks, easy life for Deso in EB for weeks;

SFR side – We had the increase of players related with the patch more the free transfers and these players come to the server because of WWW, our world explode with outrageous queues, impossible to play by guilds (just curious any one got fired in Anet?), I think we reacted to fast, more patience will be need, many of the major guilds left or decided to go down (some crazy guys, like me, still want to stay and fight).

Get super organized!!! And attack other map with a small force.
The skill lag problem?

To wall the people crying, many times when I arrive to EB, I ask the state of the towers, some kind soul reply to me WC is T3. I think, ok fine. 1 minute later the alarm sounds, huge blob in WC. Ok it’s time to run fast inside, because I’m a ranger I run fast to go inside (9 in 10 times I can make it) and…surprise not a single siege to defend, +80% of the times the tower will be lost.

The stupidest thing is the way the maps and colors are organized.
If you play green, the wining server, in EB, you can hit any of the green towers with trebs deployed in the outer wall of you main keep, a huge advantage in defensive terms.
If you play red it’s the same.
But if you play blue, you can’t hit Durios or QL the same way.

GvG isvery important, because before Anet put it in place they must balance professions 1st. We all have a beter game.

You know its directly linked. A part of SFR guilds leaved because they were a guild based serv and the free transfert was a problem in their orga yep. We admit it. But the second reason is not me and my work on VS, the second reason only belong to their choices, your choices, your own acts, the way you treated new players and your decisions to stop instead of keeping fighting even if things are difficult. Thats the difference between some of you and us.

Dear Troma stop to worry about SFR problems, we are trying to solve our problems. You did carry the burden of getting up VS for so many weeks, rest now (I’m not convinced yet it is VS that is up, for me it’s us that fell down).

I got to bed before midnight yesterday, stayed only 1 hour in WWW, our score was very low, but I was a very happy man, we are walking in the right direction.

Hello everyone. I have been suggested to speak on the forums even tho I have stayed away from it for as long as I have been playing, and it is with good reason that I speak up now.

The backbone of SFR is having a test at the moment, and it is not an easy one. There have been lots of turmoil and anger from what I have heard and I now think it is time to announce something.
I am coming back to where I belong, I am coming back to SFR, to join the PuGs that I enjoyed playing alongside with since pre launch. I am coming back in 9 days after a well deserved break from some stressful episodes.

Keep working, but now isn’t the moment for SFR to organize any kind of GvG (just my opinion, that is something to decide in our meetings, if anyone wants to put that in the agenda). Last night around 11, our zerg attacked your SM. You guys murdered all 7 of us in lord room (kittenhe outmanned buff). It was a funny moment:)

Later, still outmanned we had a lot more, we even attacked Ogres, no success but was a good training.

We don’t live dark moments in SFR, I have great hope that we can rise again, no worries, it will take some time, but we are walking in the right direction.

Finally I know who the commander from Deso in EB is. Are proud and happy you say? Are you proud of double team with VZ? For hours you don’t even flip a VZ camp? Is this my imagination? No, VZ players know watt I’m talking about. It was epic for us yes, we never lost our keep, even when we get attacked from both sides, trebed from Bravos by Deso, and from Langour by VZ, we resisted at to consecutive attacks from VZ with golems, you are proud, you say, a big lol to you.
BTW are you the commander that Wemill put to cry a few weeks ago? Well he is back!!! Not played to many hours this week. Are you proud to let Anza in VZ hands for long time, and keep targeting SFR?

Yes I’m very, very proud to have played to all the guys from SFR during the weekend (guys sometimes I have to be hard with you because, we can’t do mistakes against VZ). Keep going “big” Deso commander, you only make us stronger.
I have nothing to say to the way VZ are playing, we have played like them when we are strong, for me the way they playing only show respect for us, they try to score points, that’s the name of the game, for us is a chance to all new commanders and players learn how to play, because he have a strong opponent we have to react according to that.

Please don’t hide behind problems, the only problem we are facing atm (butt all servers have it) is the skill delay, Anet must work in a solution to this.

We are not going to win this week again, but for me maybe I can have another “victory”, we need to stay one more week in T1, and after this another one, and so on. One day our guilds will come back, and we will be strong again.

I think you should get a reward for story-telling. There is no such thing as a 1v2 or 2v1, just opportunity of attack.

1) yup i agree, it’s a people magnet, we should never use it when GvG.
2) hmm i think we can announce it, but not the map, and communicate a LOT on the streams (like we did for the supplys and other WvW rules). Streams is winner-winner for everyone: more viewer for the streamer, no lag for the players, funnier conditions to the spectator (we can add an irc to comment it on the page !)
3) yep, the rules must be straight. We can even imagine a judge, like football ?

Troma ask from people from your server to take 5 or 6 screenshots, at different hour of day in different maps. Now analyze the pictures. Can you see any pattern? No? Look closely to guild tags…

We are working on something to highlight the Guild vs Guild. I have this idea since a moment already, and Sohz, member of Last Pride, thought about the same. He will carry out some designs and we’ll get 2 developpers + one in back up. The page will be used to display the participants, the next matches, the lastest matches, the whole thing in a bioshock infinite/1900’s graphic style. It will be named “GvG Showdown”.

As A.net takes too much time to improve the WvW and implement GvG, and the Guild vs Guild is interesting a lot of people, as much guilds as spectators, I think the 2 will co-exist soon.

Troma are you serious?

Don’t you see the current state of the professions? They are completely unbalanced. Please go to GW1 and see the meta teams, every profession can enter the meta, you don’t have GvG in GW2 because of the current state of professions.
GvG is different from WWW, and the day Arena develops it, new guild will arise interested in this, some strong WWW guilds, will split is members between this to types of game.

People in WWW, are worried with skill lag, and WXP, because now it’s hard to find anyone to scout, escort, repair, buy upgrades, people just want to go with the zerg and make some easy WXP.

Keep pressing Anet for GvG, that will be good for the game.

Lag is boring for everybody, but the abuse of blobing isn’t on VS side only.

And don’t tell that was necessary because we wre blobing, yesterday that was not less than 3 commander and roaming group, no more had more than 30 ppl with him so what the point ? you loose all point because you never split, we just have to lure the bandwagon to a side of the map to cap everything on the other side … i fell like playing in PvE.

My friend as usual, on weekend I played more than 18 hours, I’m talking about watt happened not in a few hours but during all weekend, this players that are stating here “I can remember of any treb in Bravos” should say how much time they have played. They included have lost Anza, wen attacking our paper towers.

Please enlighten me, how do you know watt happened in hour server during this weekend. You can also add why I need help.

Just remember you are explaining that to the guy that defends RG, and is leader (read my post to Troma because the away he talked with your leader after he left SFR).

PS: Now that many off the big WWW guilds are out of the server many of us, that don’t want to give up, play much more time. I know this is hard to understand but some of the commanders, that are out PM asking how things are going, because they fill they belong to SFR, and yes I hope they and their guilds will return.

When we got back in T1 we tried to win and we have focused only on VS (sometimes I didn’t agree with this because if we had attacked Deso that will bring us more points).

On the other hand Deso assumed that they can beat, so thy focused on us.

On EB this is very, very clear, I just gave you some samples but I can give you many more.

Now let me tell you a secret, and to all the fortune tellers making predictions here, EB in SFR is and always was pug land, we had one small guild that has 4 or 5 commanders, and more 3 or 4 good commanders, people resisted to use TS (I was one of them, I had my reasons, but I was wrong, TS is essential) sometimes only a few in TS, and commander as to give orders on chat. Many times I hade to go BL’s chat and ask if they can borrow us a commander, and a few times I had asked for help from a guild.

So my friend my world really as two worlds, BL dominated by guilds, and EB dominated by pugs, thats why I respect the guilds and the pugs, I remember one day after the free transfers when OSC came to EB to help, and on idiot started to say on chat that Gotreck is a noob, I just reminded the guy that OSC was the bonne of the server, and we want that their commander to be respected, and presented my apologies to Gotreck in TS.

I truly respect all the people that play, or have played in SFR, that’s why some of them (out atm) PM to know how are things going in SFR.

I also respect my opponents, I think someday I will ask for permission to go your TS and talk with some of you (VS please don’t make me speak French, or you will regret).

I didn’t found anybody to say that VS is boring to play with, when that was SFR who was 1st. I guess it’s might be related to what side is winning.

SFR and Deso are, as well, boring to play because of monozerg steamroll fashion. Very often, when we meet a group a a size similar of our (around 30) they run away. when they stop, you know that their “main bandwagon” is somewhere close.

Our bl is often a mess and outmanned before 6pm gmt unless one of the larger guilds like VOTF etc are present to hold the randoms who frequently hang out there together, besides that there never really is a moment in the evening i can say deso bl is not overwhelmed by iether SFR and Viz who take it in turns or all at the same time to keep the pressure on.

Sometimes i don’t even have room to fart bouncing back and forth like a jack in the box i expect many deso feel the same on home bl the other bl’s i can’t comment on so i wont.

Ok you want to find more people from Deso. Just go to EB, and if VS as SM build a treb to hit them, just because your friends only build trebs wen SFR as it. Then join your friends attacking SFR, the number1 EU server.

Not to mention avoiding any conflict with the Viz blob and letting us handle it in fact you joined in a few times to attack us not to mention ninja hills helping Viz, double standards or taking opportunities?

We focused Viz on their bl their the new no 1 and if you SFR guys want to come in and pick fights with us instead of viz and get in our way you’re asking for trouble, i’l take the moral ground here and say fair play you took the opportunity but it doesn’t matter what i think does it? you cannot get down off your high horse to accept opportunity plays a big part of any servers actions.

OK. I think you are sincere you deserve an explanation. Please take in consideration that I play 98% of my time in EB, where it’s far more easy (due the configuration of the map) to analyze this situations.

When we got back to T1, we concentrate all our attentions in VS attacking only them, and paying no attention to Deso map (I don’t agree with this strategy, but I was main stream, and I can’t do anything about it).

Let me describe watt was happened wen for instance we attack a T3 VS tower, we already know that we are going to suffer one attack from Deso in one of our T3 towers, now you say “Well played Deso mates!”. Wrong!!!

Why it’s not well played? Because if we don’t have forces to defend our tower, we leave the attack and come to defend (we can’t sacrifice potential points for a T3 that we already have).

Watt Deso should do was to attack another VS T3 structure, and make them split, or abandon one of them.

Now you are thinking that I’m giving you lessons. I’m not. Because wen VS attack one of our T3, Deso many times as attacked other of our T3. In conclusion, Deso know how to play, but don’t do it all the time.

The situation with SM was ridiculous to, there was one day were we killed more than 24 trebs in overlook, and maybe 6 in Anza.

This is not coming from a casual player, but from a guy that spent many hours in EB.

Some guilds/players fight without honor, we have to deal with it.

This issue is very serious, I advise you to read the words from Troma about this. I can only say that if I know someone responsible for this, I will report. I refuse to point to any one with no proofs, with only cause and effect.

Vizunah at present are not worth fighting: their players give near to nothing WXP wise, drop weirdly few badges; their blob, replete with supply for massive seige use, will omnizerg everything when you only have 10 players doing anything; and as soon as you have vaguely equal numbers they crack and run. But you can count on it, they’ll be there come morning noon or night.

I kinda feel sorry for their Canadian? EU morning players – they have probably never actually played WvW and just think it’s a game where you kill these 10 enemy dudes with your 80 strong zerg.

At the moment when I play WvW either I don’t see any SFR or Deso or I see almost only huge bandwagons which zerg VZ guild raids… Nothing more…

Your motivation is down, you are afraid of us, you only get out as huge zergs, don’t get usrprised if we play splitted and cap your towers while you try to hide behind each other guys…
