Oh that one. Yeah. Sometimes they will throw in a bundle and not add a time to it. It does get frustrating. They tend to add and re-add things after a while. Just have to keep an eye out and hope you get lucky. I am sure in the future they will throw a bundle like that in again.

Yes there is an RP community in GW2. Just have to ask around.
Crafting, you can learn all of them on one character, if you want, but only 2 active at a time.
End game content, there are raids, WvW, PvP, dungeons and a living story. There are also weapons and armors to work for amoung alot of other things.

Yes. GW2 base is ftp. AKA do not have to buy it anymore. If they want to play HoT, yes they HAVE to buy the game and expansion. Either way, GW/GW2 has no monthly fee. The only fee is buying the game. Everything GW2 base is available to all and Black Market gem store items are optional. They are not required to play GW2. I have played since day one, and the game tries to include everyone.

I was Born in 1976. Even then computers were still in the low end development. There use to be not such thing as colour or internet or, 3D! I believe everyone got along fine.

And now games are offering a variety of game types in one game, and you want more wealthy players and more PVE. The variety is why players love GW2. It caters to everyone. Some dislike PvP but love WvW. Some like PvE and PvP, and some strictly like PvE. Doing the story is an option also. That is what makes games like GW2 player friendly.
Anet is also doing their best to have an ever changing environment for players so GW2 does not stay stagnent.
And a news flash for you, there ARE wealthy people playing this game. Who do you think spends the most on the cash items. Be thankful we are helping the game and not trying to over take it.

Almost 4 years ago GW2 started. We had base colours for hair and accessories among other items. Everything was updated over the years with the exception of those hair accessory colours.

I think it is time we finally got at least the same exclusive hair colours added to the hair accessory colour pool. So please, give us more colour options for hair accessories.

Graphical anomalies at Vigil Keep

I can confirm this issue. I was having the same connection problems. I am also still having them. I know it is the server because I have done a thorough test of my internet and other various items related to internet.

The issue I have with this is, I decided to fix my story and turns out you have to do the who;e dang story starting with getting the orb to killing Zhaitan again! So I left my elementalist, who had finished her personal story before I took the stupid quest to fix the story, at the temple of the forgotten god part and said screw it. I am not doing the whole dang thing over again!

I just got the gems I had ordered with the “failed transaction error” Message. Check your accounts for yours, everyone.

I had this happen to me before, and yes they are good at rectifying the extra transactions if you tried multiple times. Thanks for the info, Gaile. I’ll keep an eye on the post so I can get my gems later too. Edit: I use Paypal.

I keep seeing players with a roman numeral beside their guild tag. Does anyone know what it is? Highest I have seen so far is a IV.

Turns out there is another crafting station beside the Scribe one. I feel so silly, now that my friend told me how. I think this post can be deleted.

I have made 3 Red Festival Umbrellas (Scribe), and all 3 have vanished. The notice said they went to assembly. They are not in my inventory, guild decorations or anywhere else I can think to look.

My small squabble is the shoulders. I got all the titles and achievements last year that are needed. Now I have to do them all over again even though I have them already. I am glad there are some new things to do, but making us repeat everything we already have is a bit silly.

Yes it is Soulbound on acquire. You can, however, acquire it on another character,
switch characters and open the chest you want the armor on. You can also use the skin if you make a mistake. If ANet will change this I do not know.

It is a result of the update they did, a lot are having problems with logging into their story instances.

The TA light armor is one of the best light armors in the game, but, female Asura and Charr got the wrong end of the choices and ended up with the male set. They look silly running around with an open chest and I think it is time, after 3 years, for them to get the proper female armor.

IF they release the game in box version in Canada, it will most likely be available at Best Buy. I am not sure if any Game Stop/EB Games stores will order it for you, but it is a possibility. Amazon Canada may have the digital copy available. And yes I live in Canada.

It is the result of many accessing the download server at once, it is nothing to worry about. Just be patient.

If you are brand new to online rpg, I would suggest trying a Ranger, Guardian or Necromancer. If you are not new to rpgs, and want one just to learn the game first, anything but mesmer, engineer, theif and elementalist

In the Beta my Beta characters, Mesmer, Revenant and Guardian, do not have all the dyes unlocked that are unlocked in the game

I am finding players that own the game are having the level 10 restriction of not being able to leave the map. I have not tried this myself as of yet, but it may deem some looking into.

The headpiece of the female Asura wedding outfit has bad clipping issues.

Thy dye quality of the armor is second rate. It does not dye well unless you use dark colours. Using bright or light colours washes out the design of the armor and simply does not give it justice. I would like to see an improvement on the quality.

When I dye one part of the armor a colour, all or most of the armor changes and stays tat colour on the character screen. When having to dye I need to constantly apply and check the armor too see if it is right. Logging out of the came completely and back again does not fix this problem. This occurs on all armor types and all clothing types as well.

I heard about this happening but never heard it until today out of my female Sylvari Mesmer. It was funny when I stared seeing her say Aura Mesmer and Charr warrior shouts instead of the Sylvari Mesmer voice.. But yes I will be glad when the coding is set right again.

I like to spend some time at the top of Jps watching players try to do the Jp I just did and offer a port to those who seem to need one because they are getting so frustrated or just not having a good day. I know sometimes I do not have a good day doing Jps I do allot. Some days I just like to hang out and offer ports to whomever. As for tips, once in a while someone will tip me but I don’t ask for them. I like getting thank you’s for payment.

I just tried to gift a store item to a friend and the window opens up blank. I checked other items and the same result. I tried logging out of the game and restarting it, but that has not worked. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I agree there should be an option to disable the go here, do this, pop ups on the screen. It does get annoying when you are on your level 80 and been playing since closed beta to have tutorials popping up in your playing.
Or even have it disable itself when a player hits level 10. That should be sufficient time for a player to learn how to play.

Yes I agree it is a good tutorial system for those whom have never played an mmorpg before, but it is also annoying for players who like to figure it out themselves and always turn off the tutorials.

This seemed to work on Windows 8.1 (latest updates): disabling “Automatically detect settings” in the Network > Proxy control panel.

Not sure if this was just coincidence, or something else was fixed. Perhaps the new launcher is more sensitive to network issues / crappy proxy detection? I had previously tried basically everything everybody else had in this thread (repair, run as admin, disable firewall/av, uninstall/attempt to reinstall).

It’s a simple setting to test out, so it might be worth a shot.

FWIW, That fixed it for me as well – I no longer have to run the launcher with -email / -password / -nopatchui.

This is on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings
Make sure “Automatically detect settings” is UNchecked

Funny thing is, I usually disable auto-detect but apparently I have gotten lax in my old age.

EDIT: This fixed the issue on all 3 computers. I think we have a winner!

I was wracking my brain so was another friend over this and it turned out to be a stupidly simple answer. Turning it off worked for both my win 7 professional 64bit and win 8.1 comps.

Based on my observations, some of the code continues running in the background even though the launcher UI is unresponsive. I was able to finish the update by letting it stay like that for a period of time; however, the problem persists and as such I was unable to login. After some attempts to fix the problem I accidentally uninstalled the game, and now it is reinstalling. Once again it is unresponsive at the launcher menu, but the game itself is downloading. I can see this by looking at my task manager and see that guildwars2.exe is using up 8.4mbps of bandwidth.

I kinda thought it was doing something in the background so I have been leaving mine open the same way you did. The file count has been dropping on mine.

I uninstalled the game also, and am trying to install it again because of the same launcher issue. I tried the download exe, the original disk exe. nothing is working and I cannot install the game again.

Try hiding your helmet (uncheck the checkbox). It should carry over to the costume. At least that’s how other costumes behave.

Yes it still works by unchecking the head option then switching back to wardrobe.

We have gotten new faces, new hair styles, new hair and eye colours, but have yet to have more choices of colour for the hair accessories.

Could we please have more hair accessory colour options?

I have this É symbol on crafting names, I see it on some character names, Some npc names, ect. I am not sure what is going on because everything is set to English in my settings. And my keyboard is North American English. Everything on my computer is North American English. So why the French É is showing up on my screen suddenly is beyond me.

Just to make note, I live in Western Canada, I am not sure if that will help any in solving this issue.

Toska is in the mine. Hold down ctrl and you will see her as soon as you enter. Mine entrance is in the top of the village.

I have been getting piles of Silky Sand and opening them, on the side of my screen it shows the items I have gotten, but none of the items are appearing in my bag. I have been missing out on a lot of bloodstone dust from this issue, as well as good armor pieces.

It seems many are having issues, and many have lost their previously purchased town clothes from the gem store. I for one no longer have my witches outfit I had bought on halloween the first time it was in the cash shop. Will this be remedied or are out store purchases gone forever now?

Not sure. Haven’t played it a lot on my windows 8 computer, just windows 7. Could try running it in compatibility mode and see what happens.

Did you try closing the client and then run it again?
Try a disk cleanup and defrag
Another possibility is your modem could be hanging. Can try a restart by unplugging it, wait ten seconds, then plug it in again

Seems there is server errors occurring. They may be fixing it in the background or do not know about it yet. Either way, it is going to be wonky for a bit.

I went into the solo dungeon figuring this was going to be fun. Ended up having to leave asap because as soon as I got in there it triggered my migraine. changing the graphics had no effect for me, but maybe it will for those of you who get migraines.
