So I should save them, since I missed the high point and everyone else is selling them now. I can wait and keep them in my bank until they become a decent price again.

I should have sold them last night, they were worth 6s10c and I waited, now they are 3s91c

Is it because everyone is selling them now, or did the demand really go down that far? Am I better off waiting for the supply to dwindle and the demand to raise the price again, or is there really no demand anymore?

You’re in “luck” you can start an entire new character and experience the NPE and the new Traits system. They’ve also made significant changes to the Personal Story, and I think some parts are still bugged. You sound like you might be ANet’s target demo for these changes. Let us know how it goes.

Speaking of which, quick question (don’t derail the entire thread) did they ever get around to fixing the greatest fear plotline?

They should also make backpieces visible while sitting and at main menu in the update if/when they do it.

It gets discussed almost as much as mounts, but while I would like capes and think they would be cool, they would clip with armor, especially Charr. I am partial to either.

Should get a Ghost Shark for your next gaming mouse, has a built in autoclicker, 50 clicks/s. Saves me all the trouble.

I actually got one, and I only opened a few. I have 23 keys left from the last LS segments, and I still have not used them.

I remember when I first started nearly a year ago, when I bought gems with gold, It was like 60g80s55c for 800 or something (good times) and as I gave more copper, that could make it change from say 799gems to 800. so if you only take gold, you are losing some silver and copper, but not too much. Would still like to be able to use gold/silver/copper and not just gold

I have never made a better game purchase than GW2. I bought it late September last year and am rather casual, only have about 400-500 hours, but that was only for a 40-60$ purchase. People need to see the value of only paying one price for that much game time. This game is also extremely beautiful for an MMO, and most people in it are friendly that I have seen.

I love this mmo, and while I do await an expansion, it still offers hundreds of hours as it is, more than worth the money.

I have been opening my ToT bags as I get them, about 300 or 400. I’ve been converting candy corn to cobs and buying the 20 slot bags. I’ve gotten 2 of those and almost have enough for a third. I want a lot more to increase the inventory space for my 10 characters.

I got a zuzu that’s worth about 16 gold on the TP now. Trying to decide whether to sell it now or wait if it would be worth more.

Yea I grinded enough to get all the Halloween minis and the costume, and I really don’t need recipes and I am poor (less than 30g lol) so like I said, I am just trying to get some extra input on when to sell them. So far I am thinking to wait until Monday. Too bad I sold 300 the other night.

I am only really asking because I have been farming the lab for both levels and bags, and just want to know what time would be most profitable to sell them.

I don’t play TPWars2 as I don’t think that is what the game should be based around, but that is another thread entirely.

So I was talking in map chat and to some guildies, and they said that ToT bags may be worth more than they are months from now when they are no longer obtainable and that I should save bags to sell them then.

Others say that since the demand is there now, and that they are a good price to sell at and that I should sell them now.

Or a third option, should I save them until the last day of the event, and then sell them, as many people may be buying them at the last minute before the event ends and drive prices up.

I am no market speculator, so I would just like some additional input.

Was nice to see a group of Anet players roaming around the labyrinth during the weekend. Only ever encountered Anet people when there has been an issue with events being farmed.

A hint for the ones having trouble getting bags. Use a flame thrower engi, staff guardian or axe ranger. They will hit multiple targets. Even a greatsword mesmer.

I use staff necro on the door events

The seller doesn’t get the Eternity skin, he gets only the Sunrise and Twilight skins. The buyer, however, gets all 3 if he binds the Eternity to himself.

Like I said, whenever I find an exotic that I don’t have the skin for, whenever I tell it to “Unlock skin” it always becomes soul/account bound. How can someone sell Sunrise or Twilight and still have the skins without having to make two of them? Wouldn’t they become bound once they unlock the skin?

Well that attitude wont get you very far in life im afraid. How about you fight for something you believe could be much better. The reason i even bother coming to the forums is because i actually care about the game. So ya be a drone if ya want but “forums” is where you come to share like, dislikes and opinions on the game.

Please don’t judge people. Yes I care about the game, but are you really going to tell people to boycott a game that has been out for 2 years with no mandatory payments past the first 60$? That only hurts the company and makes them unable to fix these problems. They made this wonderful game and are only charging a one time fee. There are many other pay to play MMOs that aren’t nearly as good as this one.

Anyway, boycott is not the answer, if you want to post a problem, post a solution you think would be feasible. Whether they listen or not is up to them.

If they are I didn’t know that, and they show up as a new skin when I got the gloves.

I finally got to the top after not being able to do it at all last year, or several hours this year, but now that I did it, I can do it rather easily now.

Question though, why can you only pick the gloves or recipes once? I thought you could get all 3 from multiple runs, or one daily or something, so I picked the light ones (for the skins not the stats) and they just look like normal gloves, and its been a couple days and I can’t get the other ones. The heavy ones actually looked decent, but I thought I could get all 3. am I out of luck?

I have this gaming mouse called a Ghost Shark, and next to the left click is an auto-clicker. I didn’t know what it did for a while, but now that I do, I can use it to get rid of stacks of hundreds of little luck stacks and stuff like people are mentioning above. I went to a click counter on a website once and told it to count when I used the autoclicker. it clicks about 30-50 times a second. is that allowed? Its not even a macro, I can’t turn it off. Its just kinda there…..and very tempting.

Why don’t people understand rarity? That thing is supposed to be something you get if you are extremely lucky and show lots of dedication to farming in order to get enough bags to have a chance at it. Not everything should be handed to us, people are already raging that last years minis are too easy to get. That should be one of those HOLY CRAP I GOT ONE type rewards and everyone who sees you with it knows you are one of the few who has it.

It is used on 32bit games like Sins of a solar empire to be able to use another gig or so of RAM, and I have used it on this since I purchased the game last October, with only 2 crashes or so over the course of my entire GW2 playtime. Give it a shot, easily undo’s itself if you don’t want it or it doesn’t work.

just invite him to a party and reload the area you are in. No matter what world you are on you should still be able to do PVE together. WvW not so much.

I hope there will be an expansion, the two little maps we have gotten through LS are nice, but nothing compared to what traditional expansions offer. Having the Kodan or Tengu as a playable race would be awesome, and don’t forget some of the classes from GW1 they could put in GW2, or even make new ones.

There was a period of reexamination on the part of… someone. I don’t know if it was them, or us. But the decision was made to order up, which Amazon did, and provably that purchase was a resounding success because from what I’m seeing here, they sold out again and needed to order more. (Which I think they’re doing now.)

The Sales Director told me they’re looking at other options. But I can tell you, as a consumer (as we all are) your voice is powerful. If you want a retailer or an online seller to stock cards, drop them a quick e-mail. If you feel the price a third-party (non-authorized reseller) is charging is out of line, decline to buy from them and tell Amazon (or whomever) that you want them to carry the cards. (We have no influence on the independent sellers on Amazon, sorry.)

I’ve gotten in the habit of asking my local grocery store to carry a certain frozen entree. At first, they ordered it for me. Then they started carrying it. The same can be true if you let your favorite store or online seller know “If you carry this, I will buy it.” For to a seller, there is seldom a more persuasive statement.

Think there is a chance of getting GW2 on steam like GW1 is? having a community HUB on steam, and getting on the front page slider, plus the discovery tool they implemented should boost sales.

If that happened, would there be a way to get our already purchased copies to activate on steam? or is that out of developers hands?

My Dog is getting to that point now too. He can hardly get up by himself anymore, and every time he has to go up the two steps from the yard to the porch when he needs to go outside, someone has to carry his back end up the stairs as when he tries he falls

I feel for everyone who has lost a pet, this is actually the second one in my lifetime, though I was a bit young when the first passed.

Just to throw a suggestion out, Let us customize them to what the guild likes to do, or have decoration packs to buy with GOLD. If you run dungeons, have something to show that that guild runs dungeons, same for WvW and such.

Also would be nice to have different floor-plans for each size of guild hall, which you can buy bigger halls as your guild grows.

And yes, like GOSU said, try to make sure you think ahead for GvG if you intend to implement that some day.

I doubt this will happen, then people would be asking for dyeable backpieces and particle effects, and like the blade backpiece, is in 3 colors, so making it dyeable would make there be no point in having 3 of em.

though generic weapons would be cool, as long as the blades have to stay the steel-ish, color. People running around with purple/green/pink blades and the like on a generic sword would be weird

I put this in another thread and I guess I will put it here too.

I got lucky and went to pavilion right after the patch that increased rewards. TTS was there farming it, got 2 golds while they were there. They left to do Teq and the rest of us invited guild members and we got 6 tags with 10 people on each. We farmed for close to maybe 6 hours, got 23 gold and 3 silver, and the silver was just for Pyroxis getting his health back due to a glitch. That equals out to close to 250 champ bags and I got like 5 stacks of tokens and 2 stacks of gauntlet tickets.

It does not take that much to get organized if people are smart enough to look at map chat.

I have made a thread before about customization and showing weapons in different poses on the character selection, but your backpieces aren’t even shown? They count as armor, why would they not?

I am kinda a noob, and I just got the gas tank backpiece skin for my Charr Engineer, and it looks really cool, but when I logged out to change characters I was disappointed it was not shown. I hoped to have every character decked out with awesome armor and a backpiece to match (sylvari ele with TA armor and the yellow flower, Necro wearing Arah with Karka backpiece) and while it is minor, it would still be cool if you could see those things at the main menu, as at times they add or even make the outfit.

It was awesome, I got in an instance that TTS was doing right after the patch, and they (naturally) were owning and getting gold. They all left for Teq and never came back, but the rest of us that were there and knew the process invited guildies of our own, got 10 people on a commander tag per boss, and we got gold almost every time (except a couple where Pyroxis glitched and regened all his health where we got silver) we did this from the time the patch was out until about 2am EST. that was like 26 or more gold chests…. so it is farmable, even with Pugs.

I find map completion boring, I dislike PVP and WVW, so the best way to train new characters was in QD. that is no longer possible and now in order to level them you have to “play the way it was intended” and do map completion and all that. I didn’t really do QD train for loot, but its always a nice bonus.

QD train wasnt really that good for exp compared to other options, i suggest you do eotm, make sure you wait till the commander comes around, because trying to get to the zerg is the worst part.

I tried eotm when it came out for training, and I did it the other night now that QD is gone, but I really don’t like it. There is always the threat of getting steamrolled by another zerg (which happens a lot) I have no idea where I am going (personal problem) and that it takes much longer when you have to beat down castle walls, gates and such. In QD it was consistent, you stopped when you wanted, not when you died or the round was over.

And as I stated, I didn’t really do it for loot, but the only loot I get from eotm seems to be the honor token things, no actual items.

So as I do not have much time to play, but I would like to have one of the older backpieces that I missed, what is the best way to get tokens? I am not asking for a handout, but the aspect race and arena only give up to like 21 per win, the gauntlet only gives 1 per win, and the boss blitz is horrible.

I main warrior and I found a cobalt once, it was ok, but I love the Royal Ascalonian greatsword from AC dungeon, normal (jeweled/gilded) by day, blue hue with ghostly effects at night. Its awesome.

Personally I still enjoy Bioware’s stories much better than the generic ones we get with every other multiplayer shooter and games of the like in recent years. Plus they know how to set moods, environments, and music that makes it all go together very well. I know they said they are even stopping using the 1 on 1 dialogue cutscenes now, but even Swtor made things more interesting with the camera angles and effects with a decent story (nothing great at all though).

I came in to GW2 in October near the beginning of the Halloween LS segment. I read about the Festival on the page in previous updates section and heard some people talking about farming and the gauntlet and such. What was there to make it the favorite LS segment? What is the gauntlet? How do you farm an LS like people keep saying?

I like housing in games as like many said, gives me a place to call my own. I would love it to death if they had a system like Wizard 101 or wildstar, where you find items from bosses you can use to customize the inside or outside of your house, or like Runescape where you got to add rooms to your house with different purposes, but make them fit GW2 somehow. Finding stuff to put in my house for customization, and inviting people over or making it public was one of the things I spent the most of my time.
