Personally I love having the cities, and pretty much everywhere be a Megaserver. I was in one of the smallest US servers and it was dead almost everywhere, now with the Megaservers there are actually people in the cities again, actually make them have a bit of life to them. I don’t see the problem with that.

I swear after beating a LS chapter, or a world boss there is a 10-20 second victory music, but that is not in the list to be modified, can it still be? I want to replace it with this:

I think I saw a topic on this earlier and searching brought up nothing (then again, search engines hate me) but I did not log on for two days, and when I got back my daily was already done. It is still done today, and that hurts my AP gain and progress for monthly. When will this be fixed?

I have a mouse called “ghost shark” and its not just a double clicker, it has an auto clicker on it. Though the only useful thing I have had it for was for using things like luck extremely fast, like it gets rid of piles of 50 10point luck things in seconds. I hope I can’t get banned for that….

I only have one character I changed, and even that was not much. the others I am waiting until I get them to 80, or get them a good set of level 80 armor then transmute it. got some good plans though, may submit a few screens of what I want them to look like when they get there.

Another thought, instead of them just showing their weapons, maybe have an option to change what pose they stand in, like how they brandish their weapon, or how they just stand, or maybe do an emote.

I killed a grawl in the Norn starter area in 1 hit using a level 80 helping a friend who just started a norn character, maybe I am hearing things but I swear it did the Wilhelm Scream when it died. it actually made me stop and think "did I hear what I think I heard?’ and then laughed. first time in 500hours I have heard it.

So I hear it after most world bosses I did in the WB train, and I would still like to know if it is customizeable, thanks.

Its a sad day when an MMO like guild wars has the majority of players telling people to play the TP. people hated EVE because it was “spreadsheet online” and from what I am seeing, GW2 is heading that way. Staring at item prices and buying low, selling high, just playing the market in general is what gave EVE a bad rep to casuals, why do you have to play the TP to make money now?

I changed the skin on my rifle (exterminator I think? exotic that looked like it was steam powered) into the huntsman (I think, long barreled charr sniper looking gun) such an improvement, Love Anet for this.

All achievements are shared, I do not know about the hints though. Bank, wallet, wardrobe, basically everything is account shared.

No, but you bought new chapters – Factions then Nightfall and then the add on Eye of the North. You paid for each one and each one could stand alone, meaning you could buy one of them without the others (except EotM needed Prophecies). So, this is not the same.

I hope they don’t do that here. I want to be able to use my characters, gear and money that I already have, just add more stuff, areas, classes, races, dungeons whatever, but having to redo everything every time they make an expansion and have content only available in a certain expansion with its own launcher could get highly annoying. “oh that feature is in this expansion” closes game, launches other “oh wait no its in this one” closes that one opens the other one.

well most 60$ AAA games get DLC of varying length also, but Anet may have spent that budget on Living world. Still hoping for a proper expansion, that is not stand alone like GW1.

GW2 isn’t a vertical MMO. It’s Horizontal. With no subscription, we’re lucky to get any new content at all.

GW1 was also not subscription based, and it got all that content (as far as I can tell, I never played it). would have been nice to have all of that by now though.

I had the same problem, saw a thread that quoted with a source from a Dev that said they are of no use now, so I trashed mine.

hey, now I actually want to do exploration again! I never bothered getting good armor until 80, knowing that I would not be using the lower armor much. Now that you can use the charges on whatever whenever, and you get charges from map completion I can actually use at 80, I am a much happier camper. Thanks Anet

I noticed while doing some bosses and story segments that after the battle ends it plays what sounds like some sort of victory theme. In the music playlist wiki there is nothing saying you can change it like you can with the “Defeated” music. If it is there I would like to replace it with:

anyway, I agree, I did QD train more than frostgorge when I wanted to get levels on a character or some money and now that its nerfed I dunno what to do to make money on my limited time schedule. and I am NOT playing the market, that is not what a game like this should be designed for.

there are still ways to farm items and money in game, some even better than the trains. The only things that have been nerfed are champ trains (and not all of them as the few coins in bags weren´t the big thing) and dye daytrading/gambling. People will flock to other pastures and continue to generate gold and items.

may I ask what those are? trains were already a slow way of income, dungeons are okay, but they take a long time for 1-3 gold, and I don’t log on to GW to mess with stock prices like EVE.

same, now I don’t have to find the armor/weapon I want just for the skin and have to buy a trans stone from the shop with gems just to get a skin I want that can be found normally in game. Now you can change skins wherever and whenever to whatever skin you have had in your inventory. that is nice. Plus you can still get charges from exploration, or so I hear. If not that would be disappointing.

In the box you get when you first buy guild wars you got to choose from 3 armor sets, one from each armor rating. I chose the heavy (can’t recall name). But later I found armor I thought looked better and kept the skins in my bank, but as I got more and more stuff I needed to keep in my bank and that armor was taking up lots of space, I ended up tossing it out. Now that we have this wardrobe system coming, is there no way for me to get it back? I may use it on another character at some point.

Personally I think its just so they can have a kid character to give attention to so people can get more attached to characters from LS.

or it was just because they wanted to throw in a somewhat crazy child to get attention like the one everyone seemed to like from Borderlands 2 (though I found her more annoying than anything – the borderlands one)

To get this out of the way, I have nothing against gay or lesbian relationships, but I do not agree with them either. I do not like them, but I will not call them out on it.

I have yet to see a prominent heterosexual relationship in this game. and to bring it up, many games these days are making gay and lesbian relationships the spotlight when heterosexual relationships are still much more common than gay or lesbian. Do they exist? yes, but are they as common? no. I think games these days are doing that to cover their tracks, or just to say “look we are supporting gay and lesbian relationships!” so the press does not get mad at them.

personally I hope to see a prominent traditional heterosexual relationship like majory and kasameer’s cutscene at the end of the scarlet solo instance take place. (again nothing wrong with it, just think that there is no prominent hetero relationship)

you can play the solo instance ending fine, I did. its the objective symbol below the tengu wall. that works good, so you can do that while they fix the main one

guess thats what I will end up doing. at least you can do that, if you had to do all that (get enough gold and a 500 crafting skill) in just 2 weeks, that would have just been mean.

I also hope that the item you use for color you can save for later also. I don’t see why you couldn’t but hopefully you can.

What you are essentially are saying is, make it hilariously cheap to make the backpiece so i can have it. As of now, its hilariously cheap for an ascended piece. you can get away with spending 47 gold to make something thats equal to something that takes 270-400 gold.

That is not what I mean. If you do not already have a crafting skill to 500 to make the piece, you have to spend the 50-100g it takes to do that, on top of the 47 gold to make just the back piece. I know blade shards are easy to get I have the exotic version of the piece and I have 2.5 more stacks of the shards.

but that is not the point of this thread. all I am saying is that the colors should be available to all tiers of the piece, but the more you upgrade the piece, the more wings/effects you get.

When I said new player, I did not mean like a week old. I have been here since October, but I don’t have hours upon hours every day to dedicate to the game. I don’t want it to be handed to me on a silver platter either, just make it not cost 100+ gold to get this thing. and by adding the aura to the lower levels would not hurt people with the ascended because they have the highest number of wings. the people with only 2 wings and glowing would not affect the people with like 8 and glowing.

when I say screwed out of I meant that you basically have to have the reward from this event maxed out in order to get the reward from the next one. so what if you cant farm 100 gold to get a 500 crafting skill? what if you weren’t here for the event due to vacation or something that came up? how is that fair to them? again, I don’t want it handed to me on a silver platter, just make it not cost my social life to get

I am a rather new player, and generally don’t craft in games, so I don’t have any of the 3 skills to 500 in order to make the ascended version of the new backpiece. that is fine with me but then if the reward for next LS segment is the colored versions of the ascended backpiece, then what do the people that can’t/ don’t want to use that much money to get to 500 crafting get? seems like we would be getting jipped.

I propose that it be a colorized skin thing that changes the color no matter what level the backpiece is. if it has no wings, just make it glow that color, if it has 2 wings, make it just like the ascended one, just with only 2 of the wings and so on.

if not it seems that the people that don’t like to craft, are rather new, or don’t have enough gold to get a skill to 500 to make the ascended backpiece would be getting screwed out of a LS reward.

I have a problem with my human guardian, he has blonde hair and facial hair, but his eyebrows are dark black. and the eyebrows are big and bushy so it is very noticeable and it annoys me.

And second yesterday I was crossing the Vigil Keep and everything that was in LA is there. I won’t buy the pass, and I dont see the need for it.

Plus, even if you buy the pass to have access to a more practical central point of the game, so what? Arena net does not charge you with 15$ every month in order for you to play the game, nor does it give you half the game free and makes you pay to have the other half.
They give you a full game for the usual retail price and content updates every 2 weeks. They need to get money somewhere and they do it selling stuff that’s not even required for the players to have a good game experience. The pass is a commodity, you really don’t NEED it.

back on the topic of the OP, I am starting to get tired with the gay/lesbian stuff popping up everywhere. I mean, I am ok with it, I may disagree with it, but I wont hate them for it. Its just that I don’t want to have to see it. I would like to hear about it very little, if at all. almost every game has a gay/lesbian character in it, and its part of the main story so its unavoidable. its just getting annoying to me personally

I am new to forums, and I don’t see if it has been suggested before in the way I imagine this happening, but I think it would be cool if you could have your characters with the weapon wielded, or on their back, or in different poses and such that you can cycle through the way they stand at the main login screen. I just want to be able for people to see my weapons when I am showing friends my characters, plus it would just be cool IMO
