So yea, a lot of my friends decide that they are waiting for SOTG and then they will decide about staying in the game or not. I am also waiting for SOTG and I am wondering how many people are in the same situation and WoW new PvP season starts in less than week…

I also ask a lot of people in the mists and there is a lot of people really waiting for this SOTG.

So are you waiting for SOTG? what if they won’t say anything new?

I just looked into this. The problem is that you currently only earn the sword if you have exactly 10 HoM points. It might be too late for us to get a fix in for the Feb 26th build, but a fix will be coming.

So, is the fix coming in March ……. 2013?

1. Duels – Duels are very important because new people will be able to learn other classes animations, how to dodge and when to dodge during the fight vs other different classes. Duels also will take our time while waiting for friends or in que. I know we can go to empty hotjoin with friends but what if I dont want to wisper avery1 to join my server to duel me, I want to duel with random people in mists or even around the game. But lets start with mists. Duels vs thiefes or mesmers are not that bad, thiefs are op on hotjoin cuz not many ppl focus on them but in duel you will know with who you are going to fight. So please, will we see duels in march? if no when we can expect duels?

2. Ladder, visisble rating, monthly turneys are HOT needed. Like we need all of this now. I dont have to explain why. When we will se it and why so long?

3. New items in GLORY NPC. Lendary weps for 1mln glory + specific rating

Q Duels are somewhere at the bottom of “To do” list why in your opinion duels are not that much important? In my opinion duels will help to new players because they will be able to learn animation of other classes and also how to counter them. Duels also will take our time while waiting in ques or waiting for friends. Hotjoin duels are not good system because you have to invite some1… then pick server and then leave after 3 min cuz some1 join.

Q2 Why we have so small PvP updates compare to PvE? This game was advertised as good PvP game where devs really care about PvP and looks like reallity is different. After 6 months I feel little bit like I bought product from “MANGO” ad.

Q3 We we still have hidden ninja patches? Every little change in game should be posted on gw2guru or at least gw2forum.

Q4 8 of my friends who were palying GW2 with me left the game… how you want to bring them and people like them back to game (PvP)?

Q5 Looks like you guys are scary of changes, waht about open PTR (public test server) and try all what people on the forum want? I know that this may spoil PvE side of new patches but what about making PTR only for PvP? Or Polls where you will be able to see what palyers really want (visible rating erc…)

Q6 What about making glory vendor with new items and even legendary for like 1mln glory?

We all know that we need visible rating but there is also another thing that we need. We need reward for spending a lot of time playing pvp. The system is already there so it is very easy to put all this live. So there is my idea:

- Glory Vendor with special items to buy for glory, items like racial sets, unique weps from PvE with great effect, cool backpacks or even aura effects around irems…
The Glory Vendor could also have legendary wepon for big amound of glory, for example 1,5mln glory for legendary. This will be very fair because getting 1mln glory is really a lot of time playing PvP, even laonger that getting mats on PvE.

We can put loads of stuff to Glory Vendor and every item is just in designer minds

rating/duels/remove hotjoints/add glory vendors with legendary weps for cost of 2,5mln glory

So after patch, PvE team is answering every question… what happend to PvP devs? Can we get answer about new patch or opinion? Was the patch good for them? plans? Any answer…

Hello, so patch come out and I want to add my few cents to the community, I am MMO PvP player since around 10 years now. 2 weeks ago my mates ask me if I want to join thier team in WoW because this season is about to end, I told them that I will see what will hapend with GW2 after feb patch. Patch come out yesterday and I have to say that I am happy and sad at the same time.

-Removing tickets was great move and every1 like it.
-Solo que? GREAT! every1 love it!
-New map? Wohoho! cool, one of the best maps in my opinion.

Now lets talk about the MOST IMPORTANT things that we need. When I move from WoW to GW2 I was amazed by GW2 team because they listen to players, they talk to us and they did what community want. With PvP patches I feel like you know what we want but you dont care because you want to put live what you want… We are BEGGING you ARENANET for VISIBLE NORMAL RATING since long time… and what? nothing happend? really? You spend a lot of time to create new map and that cool but what about put “RATING” on TOP of that funny list? Does this list even exist or that was just joke?

-You told us that you dont want to split community but at the same time you just made 2 modes of the same game with solo que, who will even play 8 team match if this take so long? every1 will prefer to play just 1 match cuz it is faster…
Now, why you just dont made 1 option for 1 match with random map for every match? How putting 1 map for week make sense for you? How stupid it it? What about players who play 4-5 hours every day and they have to play same map for 1 week… this is funny and sad at the same time because there is no logic.

- Rating! Yea we have MMR but we need VISIBLE RATING with leaderboard on website so we can aim for that rating… now its just like playing FPS without stats… what the point of playing? fun? FUN? REALLY FUN? People play PvP because of competition but there is no competition in GW2 atm. Why you just dont want to show ratings? WHY? WHAT IS THE REAAAAASSSOOOONNNNNNN?

- GLORY! so now glory is still nothing. is it hard to add all those cool looking PVE weps and LEGENDARY to buy for glory? legendary can cost for example 2mln glory but lets put it IN GAME! This will also give a lot of players something to aim for! Create GLORY NPC with good items so players will be able to show how many matches they paly.

- DUELS! Duels are still not in game, you said that this is not important because palyers can duel on hotjoint… so now I would like to invite any dev to duels with me for longer than 3 min on hotjoin. GOOD LUCK! Duels are needed because players will leran animation of other classes and this will made them better on pvp. Duels will also take our time while waiting in ques. You can add duel archivments or even ranks. Oh WAIT!
MORE competition TO PALYERS! wohhoooooo!

- Remove hotjoints you can test ur build on hotjoints because hotjoints are fkfest.

- If some1 leave your pvp team, band them from doing matches for the next 30 minutes or even hour!

Thank you, I am not going to paly GW2 for next 2 weeks. If after 2 weeks nothing change… then I am out. Yep, I will go back to bad graphic totaly unbalance game (World of Warcraft) But at least they have arenas with rating and ladder system. And you can see changes for the next wow season, will be sweet!

Well the best part of duels is that you should be able to right click on player and start duel, joining arenas etc make this just complicated without any sense. Its like order pizza or going to the restaurant to eat that pizza.

We dont know price of custom arenas yet. They will cost euros/dollars or tickets.

And as I say, not every1 have people to play with… so we need duels in mists.

Hello! so we know that duels are somewhere on the bottom of “to do list”. I stronyly disagree that duels are not that important and here is why:

GW2 PvP is hard to understand if you playing it first time, a lot of people going to play hotjoin for the first time and they are dying like crazy… this make them sad and this automatically cause very bad opinion about spvp and a lot of times, resignation from playing spvp… but why is that? Because people dont know mechanics of other classes, they dont know what they should dodge roll and how animations of different skills looks like. Now, imagine if we have duel system in the mists, standard duel system where we right click on the player name and we can duel him. New players will be able to fight 1 v 1 with classes that they want to fight, they will be able to learn skill animations and learn how to counter specific classes! this will be also great for old players who want to test builds vs friends and people will be able to duel while waiting in QUEs! No more standing on the stairs!

And yes, I know… we can duel on hotjoints. But did any1 try to duel here? How long you can duel? after 2 min you will have 1 idiot who will join jsut to destroy your duel, and believe or not but there are people who just snipe arenas with 2 ppl to kill them while dueling.

Also new players dont have friends/guild to duel on hotjoin arena.

Please duels are so easy to make. We need them!

Well my friend, this is hotjoin… He prop get like xxx buffs and hotjoints are generaly kittenfest where every1 die in 2 sec. On paids or frees u know if u fight agains thief and u know when u may expect him, ur teammates should be active and informative about positions of other players.

Dont play hotjoints, I stop palying hj cuz hj make me sad.

Why not just two modes? Solo queue 5v5 and paids 5v5 both rated. Abolish 8v8 and free tourneys. If people wanna do something out of the ordinary host a custom arena to kitten around

Now I manage to get my Mssg name but there is no option to change my thief name from Dr Mssg to Mssg =/ I did contact with support and guess what? they say that they dont even have tool to do that, name change for X gems should be done long time ago. Arenanet can put so many in gem market but they just dont, why?

Please upvote this so devs can see, making tool like that is like 2 days work and I ask my friend who is programmer.

Okey, lets talk about this “hard to talk topic” I know, I know… a lot of people will say that dungeon finder will destroy community, we will lose communication, people will get angry and mad, there will be no1 to play with etc… etc… but lets talk seriously.
I dont want to mention names but every quite popular MMO have dungeeon finder. Why is it? Because a lot of people dont want to stand in 1 place and searching for other players just because they have to. Imagine just que for dunegon and walk outside city so u can farm some trees or kill few mobs or even play 1 pvp match before u get full team, wouldn’t be that cool? Imagine cross server dungeon finder so u will be able to find group during very late night and super early morning! wow, really? Will that broke community? mmm dont think so… If you dont want to do dungeons with people outside ur server or u are scary of doing this with a pug, u can always stay in that city ald shouting for some times “LFG LFG LFG LFG” I mean if u like that, thats up to you.
So yea, why cross server dungeon finder will be great:
- U can que from anywhere.
- During the waiting time, u can do for example some pvp or go to other city or explore etc…
- U dont have to stay beside dungeon entracne and shouting for good few minutes, hours if u try to do this during the night.
- U can do dungeon DURING THE NIGHT!
I know that a lot of people have a guild, friends and they are playing all the time but please think about people who are without guild, people who dont want join to guild, people who paly on wierd times like 4 am for example, people who like to do dungs with pugs cuz they meet new people etc…
Arenanet can also add money prize for dungeon done as dung finder group. Because we dont have tanks and healers, que will be really fast and friendly for every1.

Thiefs are jumping around smaping HS for 4-5k dmg, warriors can burst someone for 25k dmg in 2 sec… How can I have fun from PvP when I am dying so often as Ele and on every match there is 50% thiefs, 30% warriors and 20% other classes??

Duels will be great for players who are waiting in ques or just like to fight 1 vs 1. Before GW2 come out I did play a lot of different MMOs and I spend a lot of time dueling with peoples… this was really really fun. Since my friend told me that GW1 didnt have duels I am asking you now…

Yea and why we dont have DUEL options in game -.-

- Add target to target option (good for PvP and PvE).
- I want to see HP of mobs as numbers eq mob has 1987hp/1987 and also in %.
- Option to see own name and HP bar
- Option to customize own UI
- Max camera distance is to close to character
- End game content… a lot of people get bored already after they hit max lvl. We need RAIDS with strategy and not zerking another dragon.
- Lower ques to WvWvW, idk how but this problem is at the same lvl as late loading of characters on WvWvW.
- DUELS! I dont even understand why there is no duel option!!
- Inspect players!
- Preview build of another player
