Normalising Dungeon Instances Starter

Since the dungeons don’t require the person who started the dungeon to remain in the instance or even on the same toon. Can we please have it where if you have finished the story line for the dungeon any of your account characters can enter it without having to do the story??

I run dungeons daily. I also have multiple characters that are also set up however I have not done the story line thus making me unable to open the dungeon into explorable mode. There is a quick way around it… log onto my main… start the explorable instance and then wait until a party member gets in. Then I change back..

Because of the changes to the instances owner it is mundane to actually complete the dungeon story on multiple characters. Can we not have it where it is account based and available for all characters????

Also if I am not mistaken, it takes Anet 2 weeks to distribute the llamas. But that is after they would receive the winners details. Now this is for the community held tournaments so don’t know about this one

There needs to be some sort of implementation on reporting un-sportsmanship like behavior. Players who go AFK, Team hampering, or don’t want to do anything since the other team is premade.

There have been many cases where players just afk or do not even participate in ranked games. Please implement a report system where these players face consequences

As the title says. You can still place the turrets in mid air. This is still exploitable since melee range classes can not hit them.

Im agreed with PawPaw (+1),
I do not do PVE/Crafting etc
All i do when I play this game is PvP mostly and I end up with stacks of Matts that i do not need, kitten tons of chest from rewards.
Only reason i open them is for a chance of an Ascended Box.

Well its kinda sounds mundane. Why do you need an ascended box if you do not want to do pve? Also i understand how people don’t like the current rewards but since you don’t play pve you would understand on why so many pver’s actually shifted to pvp cause of the loot.

Take any dungeon reward track. You get 3 Weapons + 240 tokens + 1 armor piece. do This 6 time and you have all 18 weapons, + 1440 token (enough to buy a whole set) + 6 Armor piece (1 Set).

That means you have accumulated 8910 dungeon token… that is equivalent to 49.5 Days worth of dungeons running (Excluding Arah and counting the smaller bags that give 3 additional token). Now it takes roughly 32 Wins to get 1 reward track, comparing the time it takes to complete one to your dungeon loots it is much faster and more viable.

The current reward system is pretty excellent. I don’t understand how you are having inventory issues when majority of it is salvageable, sell-able or gets deposited into your bank?

I understand what you mean but the additional benefits of playing unranked/ranked is that you will get much more experience playing your class. It helps build on the pvp skills that are required to play unranked/ranked unlike hotjoin which can be taken non seriously since players come and go. Unfortunately you can not get this from hot join.

Also you get points towards you achievement this way as well. I however do hot join for my dailies its much faster.

Hey man, I didn’t falsely flag you post. It was anet not me. I also got the infraction. But yeah if your only concern is how some conditions effect turret/mechanical object, just remember that there are enemies that are susceptible to condi damage when in reality they shouldnt be.

Community Held PvP Llama problem

I have read some of the tournaments that are to be taking place, now some of their rules have limited the winner from previous tournament (in the finals or have won a round beside it) can not participate.

Now unfortunately that mean that we are not allowed to attempt every tournament there is. If that is the case then how are we supposed to obtained 27…. YES 27 llama to obtain the final form?

good changes for the most part, but realistically, how exactly does one poison, bleed, and torment a mechanical object?

had I known you could poison mechanical objects, I would have done so to my enemies cars irl by now =D

Burn = thermite
Poison = extremely PH rich base or acid
Bleed = cause hydraulic fluid / oil leak
Confusion = user interface hack
Torment = magically induced hypercreation of rust

Well since a lot of people are complaining about the legitimacy of conditions on turrets. Think of it this way:

Doesn’t make sense: – Makes Sense

Bleeding – Lost of Fluids (Just like real life mechanical fluids, if there isnt enough then it wont work. Ie. Car motor oil)

Confusion – Gear jamming (The internal gears are jammed and damaged the device. ie. plane landing gear gets jammed)

Fear – device not working as intended (A malfunction that causes the device not operate correctly. Ie. A calculator not working as intended during you final school exam… everything is depending on this exam.. if you fail you loose your dream job!!!)

Poison – Rust (Rust cause the device to sometimes become inoperable. Ie. Rusty Saw, knive, car)

If people use their imagination they can see how conditions can effect turrets…. also guys its a game.

So, since engineers utilities have to be “inline with the rest of the game”, when shall engineers get their second main weapon? You know, to be “inline with the rest of the game”.

Also to prevent Turret Camping, please have a self destruct or auto turn off mechanism where the turrets will not be operable unless the engi is within its radius. This will prevent the AI from holding a point on its own. Zerker classes will find it difficult capping the point if the turrents are all focused onto them.

Also to prevent turrets from being deployed in mid air, have the turrets drop at the start of the animation not at the end. This will nullify the trick to having turrets in mid. As jumping off the ledge as soon as the animation is started will result the turret being deployed at the end of the animation.

Its not about bad player vs bad players or good players vs bad players. Its about the mechanic of the play style. It prevent anyone to obtain potential pvp skills. All this style does is makes you rely on multiple NPCs to do your work. Your rifle is there just to provide additional as it does decent amount of cc.

Now if there is to change this style (which prevents players from playing pvp) then it will provide a huge relieve to the playerbase.

Honestly having 3 turret engi has ruined my pvp experience… I have won 8/10 of my games doing this…

since there is soo many of us talking about turret engis and we have no reply from anet.. i am going to tell you guys how to leave your turrets in mid air.

Activate your turret on the ground but as soon as the animation start jump. it will place the turret in mid air. See example down below…

Hopefully this will bring it to their attention. Hopefully they will work on the kitten engineers

I agree that Turret engies need nerfing, but you’d make your point better if you refrained from using the general description of ‘cheese’ while describing it.

Most people use ‘cheese’ to describe something they cannot personally beat, not something bad for the pvp game as a whole.

a 1 vs 1 engineer is not the problem. It is a problem using exploit where you put them in mid air. Also having 3 of them in party with a power ranger/ necro. The engineers will just cc you while the other will rekt you. Also since you have to worry about both Turret AI and the player it bring out a disadvantage since its not balanced out. Mesmer clones are really easy to kill especially since they are zerker clones. Now if for instance Mesmer clones had the same survivability as a turret then yes they would need to be nerfed.

Hopefully if and when Anet decides to nerf something they just nerf turrets and maybe IP and don’t go nerfing things that aren’t ridiculous.

Why should turrets be nerfed? It’s not even that good. Hell, cele rifle is WAY more OP but you want turrets nerfed? If turret needs to be nerfed and is SO OP, then why does no one run turrets in tourneys?

The reason why no one runs turret in tournament is because they are banned. There are certain builds that are not allowed. Now you know why they are so OP. Escially a zerg of them

i think the new meta with turret is more annoying. Atleast the decap engi require some player skills whereas now you let AI controlled turrents do the work.

Also now since the pvp community grew there are more counters to the decap engis.

Honestly I am tired of facing cheese kitten build. Especially since engineers can do this… They jump from the ledge and then place it in mid air… MID AIR… That mean that no melee class can take them out and if they do damage to the turret, it is so small that it will reheal itself while you are trying to cap. This provides enough time for the engineers or any opposing member to come back and kill you off.

Here are some ways you can fix them:

1 – Reduce the health on the turrets. (Conditions does no damage, any non zerker/soldier classes will do minimal damage)
2 – Decrease its up time. Have a turret last for 20 secs then auto blow up. There upkeep it too long. Once they have blown up have the recharge timer then kick in. This will further prevent turret engineers.
3 – Have a turret to host radius. If an engineer places their turret on home point and leave the point to fight on mid or even far point, the turrets will blow up. I have seen this done countless of time where multiple engineers leave their turrets at home and then contest mid and far. It is improbable that a single person can decap while being pounded by the turrets

You complain the most about placement of the turrets in mid air but none of your suggested fixes addresses that problem. The easiest fix for the mid air problem would be: Don’t allow turret placement in mid air.

That is just one aspect of what an engineer can do. I firstly state that I am tired of cheese builds. And since many player participating in this topic understand what I mean have gone past that one part where they can place turrets in mid air.

Also not all classes can deal with turrets. On my mesmer I have no problem destroying them but have them stay on point while no player is guarding is unfair. That is like have NPCs play as well. No other class can provide this. Necro MM will follow and are too kitten stupid. Also they are acceptable to damage from condi and physical where as the turrets are only physical.

Also keep in mind I am not just referring to 1 turret engineer.. I am referring to have multiple ones in your party and just have them place their turrets out around the cap while destroying the enemy team with CC and damage. This type of cheese is why the PvP player base are all raged up.

if you guys are monitoring everyone who transfers 500g why not specifically monitor those that receive 500g+ only.

If someone wants to sell something or get a gift from other players then that would be something to look into. Is the gold legit or was it illegally bought/transferred. instead of focusing on everyone in game.

Thats the problem with gambling on the TP. There is no guarantee that your item will be sold. As of right now the best option is to forget about it and who knows over time ppl will pick it up.

Also its kinda greedy that you just wanted the skin and then sell it, so consider it karma.

As the title says. I love chasing after achievements point but this one is a bit ridicules. I need to interrupt 100 players using the number 4 skills. A skill the doesn’t re-spawn as often as it should. A skill someone who already has it can get it again. Then there is the part to actually interrupt the player… then staying alive..

Anyone know a good way to get this one with one hurting your brain???

Its current location in the achievement summary page is an eye sore. Can you make it so that its the very last thing on the page. Move up the unlock rewards and account bonuses section to the top. So it looks like this

Anyone know the time frame until this part of the content is removed. the only reason I am asking is cause there is this really stu pi d achievement that requires 100 interrupts… yes 100 interrupts…. its a pain but my game play style is that I aim to get all the achievements.

Now I just want to know two things: A – When will the content be removed?

This is very common…. the best way to clean this is up is to play on that toon for a while. go do some events, pvp, dungeons anything. i would say after 10 events it should clear it up.

also dont forget this is a daily chest so onces you get it you have to wait.

Offline Players

from my previous experience you should be able to invite and whisper anyone in game via say, map, and guild chat. I spoke to someone at the euro gaming expo in September (i think it was the marketing manger not sure but I know he was a senior member of the team)

I showed him this bug while demoing it to him on the show floor. he said that he would have a look into it as he think the portals need to be reset from their end. honestly this ruins the game especially when someone asked for help and you want to PM them. Also some players have special character in their names and its just impossible to type it.

This bug has been in game for a while. It was fixed before and then it happens again.

The bug is that almost every person i play with seems to be offline. I cant right click to add to party, forcing me to type out their name. It happens on the map, in guild chat, say chat everything.

The player’s status remains offline when i hover the cursor over their name. If they are off line and you add them as friends.. they automatically come online. Please check your server’s status on your end.

I am located in London and play on NA server if that helps.

This way point is still contested. I believe its the only WP that has not been uncontested from the LS point view.

Is this a bug? Or have you guys forgotten about it? Or is it part of the story?

Its really annoying since the guild bank, wvw, and pvp portals are located here and you have to find the nearest WP and run over. Its been almost 6 months that this way is contested.

Please fix it if its a bug

Mini Pet Organisation Required

The minipet’s achievement is a costly one. On top of that it require you to keep track of them outside of the game. Can you please organize them so we are able see which ones we are missing if we click on the achievement tab. Just like the collection tabs where it shows you which item you have or which you are missions.

Please implement this.

You took away the joy of toypocalypse since I can not do it with my friends. Please revert this as it is annoying especially since hot join is either A ) broken or B ) no one has any idea what to do.
