Very unique and stable server. Could really use 1-2 OCX/SEA guilds and we’re basically done.

As for me, I’d like to get more fight-loving and competent militia around early NA hours. We got quite the experience pugmmanders around, music bots and a recently upgraded k train, here is a vid made by a mag player during a few rounds with DB’s SEA

Don’t worry most commanders don’t stutter or have a funny accent like I do :P

Tips:

-Roll the classes that you are having trouble against. Read their trait spec and figure out whats viable builds.
-Play a few rounds with said class in Spvp. Learn to play it
-Congrats now you know how to counter them

Lol i feel you, when I got the game i was amazed by the graphics and gameplay, PvE stuff seemed movie-like for me ( go ahead and laugh I used to play free-2download mmos so go figure). So i was decided to finish map completion.

Till one day I realised i needed WvW maps too, and it got me. Its been a year and a half and i still havent gotten world comp haha

Voice comms+decent driver/commander+people with a brain = Can get the fields you want.

I love Gw2’s combat system and I think its just fine

The concept of ele stacking definitely seems to work, so props for coming up with it and sharing.

However with more coordination and a better group comp/theory craft this can really be optimised. You shoudn’t be relying on rallying on your enemy with proper execution of your teams plays

Doesn’t have to be 1k badges, just something relatively possible for a wvw player who drains most of his/her money on the game mode to get the ascended pieces without having to PvE

10k badges is going abit extreme though..

This is troublesome. I woudn’t like people knowing where I map hop if im trying to ninja something. I would think going invisible would solve it but this prevents me from getting whispers from my scouts.

I could party up my scouts sure, but that would prevent me from setting party comps that I like.

I definitely agree, but this game already has too much cc and would hate torment getting buffed.

I usually stop moving when the stack of it gets too high, otherwise just like you said i just cleanse or take the dmg

Fun read for me tbh, i was stubborn in taking the decision of chaging MMOs and started Gw2 back in late November 2012.

I started WvWing in IoJ and moved in the week before free server transfers were closed, as they were falling down to T6. Fun memories

Coming with someone with a warrior and a guardian with tags, I’d say guardian.

Simply because it has the most useful utilities for open field fights and can set the tempo however they like. That is if the driver has a brain.

It is awkward when you have a lot more survibility than your team, and you find yourself alone because your group wiped.

Why do you guys think we care about T1.

You recruit everything, made it impossible for lower tier servers to build up and move up, made a huge gap between you and T2 and yet you guys are out there recruiting more.

I coudn’t possibly care less if you have imbalanced PvDoor weeks for the rest of your matches, you brought it onto yourself

Your time zone doesn’t seem very promising if you want fights in lower tiers, but they are surely more balanced

Dont get me wrong, sure there are people who help and are the exceptions, its those specific ones that do the things i listed that I highly dislike

I dislike most PvErs for plenty of reasons. Such as:

- Some think they are the kitten. Have legends, ascendeds, and try and order WvW vets
- Their game is x10 more simple, and x10 more rewarding.
- some rarely get on teamspeak/voice comms because they dont really care, being a rallybot and messing up a potential good fight
- Fairweather on you whenever. Lol you wipe? Kpeace let me afk at spawn
- Disobedient. They rather squirel chase roamers, cap a sentry, push in to lords room than follow you/help you
- They prefer karma training over actual WvW

List can go on. This is why I hate PvErs

I really dislike this DivineBeing person lol, he makes BG seems like the underdog when they win most their matches.

Also it sickened me what he posted on the three likes and hates thread. Basically saying how the ppt system is wonderful, how he loves to play the score and hates anything fight related, includingbthe attitude of “for fights” and GvGs

Pretty much all the ss’s here are people zoomed in to make it look bigger.

Just by looking and his post history you can tell lol…

If friendly and welcoming communities equaled succes, Tarnished Coast and Isle of Janthir would be the top dogs for months now. It is great to have ofc, but it has it downsides.

It brings lots of carebears and fairweathers, nice guys but lack of skill, and so on.

There are multiple factors that make a server succesful. From having lots of hardcore server loyalist, gaining loyal/huge/skilled/friendly WvW guilds, general attitude, and soooo much more. You guys (Blackgate) even have an attractive name for new players, even your server name matters. Take a look at Fergusson’s Crossing.

For a commander, its a significant problem. We need to see all around us at all times and anything like this is obstructive and a real hinderance to our basic function. Not to mention that its as large as my asuran character and you can hide a whole enemy behind it or more.

I am an asuran commander and lead on a daily basis, its not a real issue for me, but i do agree that it should be able to turn it off. But players here make it sound like it is game breaking like every other WvW complain

I differ, one player who is constantly looking at the friend list can scout the commanders movement and counter easily. If used right its basically like spying without having to be on the server

He has a point, though. Its not to just fight doors, its a very good strategic move if executed right and can shift the out come of the match if it’s a close one.
