Thanks for everyone that has contacted me so far, I’ve responded to everyone here and in game as much as I could.

Note that it will take me at least a week to decide, I will be scouting all my possible server/guild, and even consider on staying if T3 keeps up on fights during EU for me.

Get to know your server, like teamspeak info, then check who is commanding and in what map.

Ask all your questions or just stick with the commander like you’re glued, you will learn pretty fast

I am looking either join a pure WvW guild that plays consistently during EU/Early NA ( 12:00 PM – 4: 00 PM server time).

If I cannot find a guild that I can fit in – I am willing to join another server to Pug command that fits the criteria below.

What I am looking for in a server:
-Tier 3 and up
- EU Militia that participates often on teamspeak
- Competent server overall. Doesn’t mean win all weeks, but has the will to improve and a good attitude towards every match ups, difficult or not.
- BL focused server/knows how to defend and communicate

What I am looking for in a guild:
- Pure WvW that raids often during my time zone
- If the guild is located in a EU server, tiers does not matter. ( if in NA server, read above)
- High above average skill wise. I want to be in a guild I can count on and the team can count on me.

A bit about me:

I have been in multiple WvW/GvG guilds and have experience in driving it or following it. However due to the time zone I play I am unable to fit into NA guilds, and have spent most of my time leading militia on voice comms. I play for fights mostly, but I do take server pride when I am public commanding, so playing for points is not an issue either.

Always seek to improve, its my “motto”, its what I want my server and/or guild’s mindset to have. I take pride in what I do, and despise mediocrity.

I main a guardian, and have one of each class, most level 80. While I am comfortable with my guardian I can dominate another proffesion with ease if the guild for the guild’s need.

Chris usually speaks the truth by actually doing research on x server and talking to commanders from it, while most people sugar coat their advertisements.

You speak like TC is completely unable to compete anymore, but it seems your server really does has it good share of fairweathers like one would expect from a militia heavy server

I agree, but anet says commander tag is a huge gold sink, and from my experience in other MMO’s where economy is horrible, i see it is working well for gw2

Except EotM is filled with siege and gates. It’s probably the worst place to go if you want an actual fight, because you’re almost always fighting in siege AoE.

That is dissapointing. Wonder if the community will just frown upon anyone using siege, like GvG community does

Doubt it. Lots of guilds out there who use siege as a substitute for competence.

I only recall FoW and a handful of lower tier guilds. I am still hoping Eotm is fight heaven, with public ts servers. That’d be great, lol

What i wish you guys had was more SEA,it would definitely even things out considering your NA and EU is equal/slightly better coverage wise

Yes you will meet zergs quite often, but serious ones dont “squirrel chase” as they call it here. Means people dont usually waste time chasing a single roamer

Mag has great roamers, and we ( SBI) face them quite often

SBI does indeed out coverage other T3 servers, and what we desperately need is more experience pug commanders and more Ocx guilds/players. We have decent SEA and solid NA, but as Luvpie said we aren’t there yet organization wise. Even Mag’s Ocx is stronger than ours, so go figure.

I personally would like to close the gap with T2/3 so all 6 servers can be competitive. I honestly think T1 is a lost cause

I’d like the option where you can whisper your whole guild list or friend list.

I currently have most of my server’s EU-early NA players on my friend list, and I have to mass whisper people one by one to rally.

Thats about 30-50+ pm’s everyday lol x.x

I think its mostly because YB is stuck at the bottom of tier 3, im not really sure if they really randomize team colors

- Large scale organised combat
- Map designs for creative open field combat, using terrain on your advantage
- Somewhat equal match ups throughtout time zones

Dislikes:
- Lack of new content
- Not many maps
- Anything not well balanced

I can also vouch for SBI, we’re looking for more coverage to compete with T2 opponents, which is great fun

Hello, as a former IoJ commander I know how you feel. Its not a bad server, the community is one of the friendliest out there.

I can vouch for SBI, we have a good community with mutiple guilds that have a lot of variety in play styles but still get a long nicely for one common goal. Not many servers can say this.

We have all round coverage militia wise, our weakest time zones are Ocx and EU and could definitely use more leaders/guilds/players. While this server does has its PvE crowd with weekly events it does not hurt our WvW population, since most are pure wvw players.

I am too worried about this issue. I love WvW and this games combat system, and I remember when devs, especially Devon Carver used to talk to us kuch more frequently and it kept a lot of us happy.

Sure there’s trolls, rude comments and so on, but this is the internet and a forum of an online game its just bound to happen. There are people out there that can ask questions or give complains in a mature manner, now people are more frustrated than ever because we feel like ANet has nothing special for us in the up coming months

I remember DB being pretty dead outside of their overwhelming SEA, so it was not very fun

Really? I wont lie neither, i think the Briar fight is the best one we’ve had in the game so far… no matter how many times i watch it i cannot comprehend how we pulled that off with 18 guys. The amount of people that pours out of that ball into us is absurd at points.

First fight is also low numbers vs one TS zone blob, but they come ready and looking for us… plus the spawn on their back! You really cant win. That was Sacrx testing us more than anything. It was the whole point of “standing strong in the midst of a storm” thing. Can’t think of a worse tactical situation or a harder enemy to beat tbh.

Oh, I had no idea you guys were rolling below 20 and near there spawn, then yeah it is impressive that you guus manage to get some downs and still pull out hehe.

And yeah that Briar fight looked epic
