Okayy, forum warriors trying to talk big let’s all just calm down and actually win something important before we try jumping into the big boy discussions. And since there really isnt anything particularly significant or valuable about winning an online game, how about let’s all just shut up and play?

I doubt it’ll end up JQ#1, SOR#2, BG#3…..ever. It’s because SoR will never settle for #2 or #3. SoR will backstab their allies just to get the ppt for the #1 spot. If you guys remember during the last two BG/JQ/SoR matchup, SoR turned on JQ and constantly attacked JQBL during SEA hours trying to steal their ppt in order to stay close to BG for the lead. Did you forget this already?

Quite the work of fiction. Waha was doing his defend nothing\allow BG to recapture thing last time we were matched.

And JQ NA were doing their “let SoR smash BG” thing. Seems about equal to me.

It’s a three way game and unless the one server is totally unable to keep up with the other two, tides can turn on a dime depending on each server’s decided objective. Nothing new, unusual, or controversial here.

Are people already buttering up to JQ so soon? LOL is all I have to say to that.

Giving pugs a tag doesnt make them anyhow better or more skilled but it looks like the guild is large. it’s only a lure.

in all honesty, seen bigger comeback

Right now there is exactly 25h left until match ends. so its 100tics. BG lead by 16 000 it means SoR have to hold an average +160ppt on 25hours long on the BG scoring: that will never happen so better go to pavillion to make some gold and keep your strenght for next reset now. XD

The overall points to gain are around 70000+/-5%. Considering the TC ratio they will gain 130k/530k=0.2452 X70000 =17169 +/-5% (so between 16311 and 18027) Then TC final score will be very close to 146807 (between 145949 and 147665)
So there is an overal points left of 70000-17169=52831 to share between BG and SoR. BG has 16k points ahead so it gives a net points left of 52831-16000=36831 points that will be available to BG and SoR. it means if BG gain more than 18k points in next 25hours we can’t loose anyhow.

Final score will be BG 225000 SoR 210000 TC 146000

Well you might want to get in there and flip some camps because they have 250 PPT on us right now and going into NA where they have a good chance to maintain a high PPT. So they can make a comeback, It may not be probable but it is possible.

Nah BG SEA makes this non-competitive (and you know it), you maintained ~400ppt for ~8 hours today and you can easily do it any weekday. 14k gain was a new high for your PvDoor crew I believe.

However, I do understand your point. The blowouts used to be FAR worse than they are now.

The last two weeks did give me pause, but I’m still confident that this is the most evenly matched the top two servers have ever been. It’s Oceanic prime now and SoR is leading in PPT and closed an 11k lead to less than 8k.

I don’t understand how people a previously dominant server can say with a straight face that the game is suddenly boring and uncompetitive when a different server starts to win…by roughly the same points lead that they used to put up. In fact, I remember matches when other servers would lead by nearly 20k by SEA prime Monday.

Don’t give up so soon Zombies of the Coast! Hope you guys get the much needed motivation and manpower to create another competitive server.

This game is fun, I love the mechanics of it, but seriously, why should we be losing our heads over achievements that don’t really matter? Everyone wipes someone, everyone gets wiped by someone.

I’d just like to point out that Clockradio, our friend from TSYM, is merely pointing out that he does not speak for his server, and has limited authority on his own guild. Whatever trolls originating from SoR have said regarding their server, we cannot hold him/her accountable for it.

^ Thank you for your refreshing insight. I am curious though as to why SoR has not been performing as well as they used to. It’s also happened to BG, back when we won our second victory. Some commanders from key timezones went on a break, which caused our coverage to flounder immensely. Is there something similar going on at SoR?

I’ve been on MERC for quite a few months now and I rarely see Karps lead the big zergs. He’s usually (whem Im on) on a map away from the Float team doing special ops, like upgrading SM to T3 with a waypoint.

Of all the servers on NA, BG seems to care the most about ppt and that certainly is your right, after all, it’s your game.

That’s entirely your opinion. I really don’t see a conflict between fights and points. Even AC wars, sieging fully upgraded keeps, much as people complain about them, offer at least a variety of battle tactics and tempo so I really don’t understand the implied elitism of open field purists. It’s just one type of combat, and guess what, a lot of guilds happen to be good at it even if that’s not the only thing they chase after.

Regardless BG is the top ppt dog for the forseeable future. As for top open field server, that crown is still up for grabs.

What about top dolyak killing server? Top Krait slaying server? Top open world gatherer? So many prizes, anyone can be a winner.

Again, my suggestion: play for fun and competitively, but don’t let it become an “us vs. them” contest.

I don’t really know why there’s even a discussion about “off-hours.” To me, NA and EU prime are “off-hours.” Shall we turn those time zones off as well? It would definitely be beneficial for me, since those are Blackgate’s lower points income hours.

We just have to accept the fact that the game is meant to be played at all hours, regardless of the number of people who are on. The best solution is to not even bother with the score altogether and just enjoy your primetime any way you can. No one really gets anything for winning anyway, which is why I don’t understand half the rage about who is winning what and when. If people were really playing for the fights, we’d be talking more about the fights, not about who’s ahead and why.

What is amazing is that people seem to think this is a feat that only Blackgate is capable of.

JQ has done it. SoS. SoR. You don’t need to have true 24/7 coverage to cover a 12k stretch…it happens by chance and circumstance, like when one side shows up and the other doesn’t.

Yeah sure they do. If that was the case, the score would be a lot closer than it is now. BG would not be ticking at 400+. One map qued does not equal all 4 maps which BG has.

Our Sea/Oceanic has benefited greatly from fighting ATM/FOO for months. They are now experts at cross border communication and attacking with float groups. I’ve seen this first hand during weekends fighting along side MERC.

Instead of complaining about ‘map queues on all 4 maps’, which is not even true, why not try and adapt.

You had the perfect opportunity last week during your week long ‘training’ or whatever that was..

BG barely needs to float in SEA.

Two maps at the most are queued during SEA, so yes we need to float to defend big objectives. And I run with the float team. In BG. I probably know what our situation is like.

Are you new? TW is a 24/7 operation, Indo forces us to play all timezones to cover any gaps that may be presented on any given day. Thought this was common knowledge by now.

I must have skipped that WvW 101 class. Didn’t know learning every single detail about other guilds was a prerequisite to Having Fun in GW 2 201. I have a demanding work schedule, so I keep things simple: follow commander, smash what’s red on screen, be smart and use the best means at your disposal.
