Hilarious. I’m mildly surprised no one did an “arrow to the knee” one.
Score update anyone?
Hey Fannwong! It’s so refreshing to see a friendly SoR voice on the forums. Keep up the positive vibes.
Dear JQ/BG/SoR:
Hello and welcome to Tier 1 World vs. World! Kindly ignore all the trolls and trash talkers. Also, if you would move through the hall of chest thumping, you’ll find the good fights right outside the door.
Enjoy your stay!
Signed,
True Warriors of JQ/SoR/BG
Score update 1am EST.
Thanks for all the bags at BG BL Hills SoR.
Ohh so that was you. I’m running my lvl 24 Warrior alt in the party.
Look at what the most recent tranfers to both BG (when SoS sank) and SoR (with their new SEA and Oceanic guilds) have done to curb JQs dominance…
Almost nothing.
PS. Do you really need a 40 to 60 man zerg to kill 20+ of us?
It happens to everyone.
So this is like the 16th time the trolls predicted BG was dead and imploding and the 16th time they were wrong.
Just cause your no lifes stayed up and played WvW for the last 2 days while others visited family and other Easter things, doesn’t mean BG isn’t about to implode. Youve PVDoored for almost 2 days now, and youre barely in the lead, seems like you should be higher.
Yes, and all of JQ’s victories have been hard-won, against waves and waves of SoR and BG players right? Or is PvD only valid if it isn’t BG doing it?
JQ and SOR didn’t lose 2 or 3 guilds as well as 2 of their most notable commanders, BG did.
Your concern is appreciated, but we have lost guilds before, and the server did not implode by any definition of the word.
BG Teamspeak has not been unusually overpopulated this week, so if anything, it’s JQ and SoR who have had low Invader turnout. Perhaps it’s due to the holiday. Maybe it’s the new PvE content. Last week’s match BG had almost no one logging on for some reason and doomsday prophets predicted the end of the server. But now, no one is predicting the end of SoR or JQ, because they think it’s just silly. Anyone seeing the spin yet? Just me?
There are no excuses for low turnout It’s just a natural ebb and flow of the game.
As a player from a smaller BG guild, I can say that I have not experienced any sort of elitism.
TO be fair: For every 10 BG there are 7 JQ and 5 SoR during SEA timezone.
Has ANet released info stats to you? Because whenever I’m on (7-11 PM +8 GMT, and even well into the wee hours of the morning), it seems JQ outnumbers us almost 2 to 1.
I’m genuinely curious how you got these hard numbers.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a BG force that big.
Honor your opponents whether you win or lose. To fail to do so does not shame just your opponent, but the entirety of the game. The truth is no one has proof that one entire server conspired to run up the siege cap and cripple JQ and even if the individual is caught, it does not automatically indict the entire server.
All three servers have motive to commit such unsportmanlike conduct. BG for obvious reasons, SoR for the hell of trolling, and even JQ to cast a shadow over the hard work BG has put in and discredit the week’s efforts. In the spirit of good competition, let all three servers instead work together and condemn the actions of this individual rather than let the need to come out on top cause each to sling mud at the other.
The honor is in fighting a powerful foe and coming out even, which is what happened this week. This very late incident is ultimately inconsequential to that fact.
ANet should place more bridges in the maps.
For all the trolls to go live under.
I totally understand
Can’t wait until we push SoR into the tier they belong in and we match up with Kaineng again. I’ve been missing me some War Machine fights. But we love SoR! JQ+SoR vs BG+SoS, seems fair to me!
Hey now, let’s not forget SBI and IoJ too. Or are we still not acknowledging just how much servers shifted to be able to create the JQ into the juggernaut it is today?
Hello Kettle, my name is Pot. I am sure all of the transfers and recruits to BG came from various servers too, not just SoS or are we not acknowledging that too?
BG’s “transfergate” is acknowledged by everyone. What baffles me is why certain people choose to downplay just how much JQ received during the mass server exodus.
Given the amount of metrics currently tracking WvW progress, it should be a simple matter to let that feed into the new system.

Anyways, we should all be glad that JQ isn’t winning by a large margin anymore!
Great matchup.
This.
Payback.
Remember BG and IOJ?
I do.
Wow.
Interesting morning where i saw Jade Quarry doing some very unsportsmanlike things.
I myself am simply a solo SoR thief, and was minding my own business between east supply and Hills. I make my way down the back valley towards Hills where i saw a JQ zerg all stacked up under the Vista of the BG owned Keep.I thought, oh cool im gonna watch this, so stayed back watching and saw the commander was in PRX, and then saw a mesmer jump from above to teleport them in, i didnt catch the mesmer’s tag. I looked up and saw a bunch of BG at the top where the mesmer jumped from, it was the guild HB. The Mesmer died on his fall, which was funny.
The HB crew then went from sight, maybe to engage the JQ below, and the PRX zerg rezzed up the fallen Mesmer. The mesmer then jumps UP the cliff to the Vista and ports the whole PRX zerg up to the top. If i knew what they were doing i would have turned Fraps on.
Very bad PRX, very bad. Then, about 20 minutes later im walking past hills again and see that its open, so i pop inside for a look around and see FOO outside the Lords room. This was pretty fun to watch until i saw exactly what they were doing. They had an arrow cart to the left of the lord room, and when i say left i dont mean just to the left so he can still view the doorway, i mean way left towards the supply hut. The guy is standing there firing his arrow cart INTO the lord room, obviously killing all the seige that was inside before they rolled in and killed HB.
So, if you win this game JQ, i would like to say grats but unfortunately i can’t as i now do not know exactly how many of those points you have cheated your way to.
Good Luck Blackgate, i hope you win this one even though i hate you.
Mesmer plant? and some time if u place an AC in the right place u can attack inner thing. And another thing u are talking about zergs, with the culling I don’t think u can see everthing that is happening. I don’t know if the use hack or something but sometimes what u see is not what is happening. U need to see the whole pic, then u can come here and say all the thing with evidence.
No it was not a Mesmer plant, it was the Mesmer who died from the fall placed his entrance then jumped up the terrain to the Vista and dropped his exit.
as for the arrow cart, no way he could see the doorway from where it was, and i saw the arrows coming down, they were firing deep into the Lord room.
Only HB can tell you if it was killing seige inside there.
I was there. It knocked out superior ballistas at the far end of Lord’s room. All of HB were scratching their heads as to how it happened. While the siege was up, they had no prayer of coming in the room, and we had already in fact had smashed two massive pushes with FOO leading the charge. Needless to say, it left a horrible taste in our mouths.
Hey, fellow Filipino here. I was bouncing around between servers during the first months of the game until I settled on Blackgate, mostly because Urge kept me interested in the WvW. I have a friend who I used to run with that ended up with EXI on JQ, so I think it is just largely dependent on what you choose. I’m certain all three of the top servers can offer fantastic communities for you to join.
So BG is the new SoS which was the old SBI which was the old HoD and so on…….
Yes. But Id like to hear some intense speculation on where they will jump ship to next.
BG doesn’t jump ship, ever. Certain guilds may but as a whole we have been more stable than any other server in the game. We’ve dropped from T1 twice with no bandwagoners leaving and here we are back in T1 for a third time kicking your kitten
You can troll all you like, it doesn’t matter to us, we just keep fighting.
P.S. BG is made up mostly of guilds that have been here since day 1, and ex-Ascension Alliance (NOC, Res, CQ, LotD, FoE), most ex-Titan guilds don’t even play GW2 any more or have disbanded. Not that we even think about the old alliances any more, BG is one no matter previous affiliations.
Ill have to take your word for it. All I ever see is ex-SOS guilds.
It’s called neuro-linguistic programming. Plenty of native BG guilds are running around, but your expectation and focus on the SoS transfers cause your brain to just see the tags you want to see.
Oceanic 60 players your kidding we took 2 of your maps last night with 20ish people. It may have seemed like 60 but it was not.
There were over 50 BG in EB.
EBG had a standing force of maybe 20 ND and a roaming army of 30 composed of MERC plus other guilds that would switch around BLs depending on the need. I was with the MERC force and I think the effective rotation allowed us to hold more objectives than had we sat in one BG.
We frequently clashed with SoR and JQ forces equal to our total number, most notably in a 15 or 20 minute melee in Stonemist Lord’s room. JQ though would have large armies in every BL we would field.
I don’t believe BG has any significant numbers advantage.
I believe all three servers have fought uphill battles and strove to win, survive or just plain hang on against all odds. Thats what makes this match great…it’s a fight between three worthy opponents.
Let the server who is without bandwagoners and transferees cast the first stone…
Perhaps Blackgate can lead by example and show how we conduct gentlemanly warfare.
We ought to get the new transferees to sign a contract, expressly stating that they will Keep It Classy.
It’s funny hearing SoR make up excuses of why Blackgate doesn’t belong in T1 because we “PvDoor” when that’s the only reason why they got where they are at. So before you talk kitten, make sure you have the facts to back it up or else someone is going to have to put you in your place, covenn.
Please do put me in my place. I am begging you.
I enjoyed you and your guild running into us repeatedly to drop bags at my feet. You made me so much money.
I have to give you props though, you at least tried to fight us open field and didn’t give up or leave the map like others do. You never gave up no matter how many times you got smashed. /salute
Hard numbers > obvious bait
Doesn’t TC need help, or maybe Kain They like to fight as much as BG does and then T2 can be a dead heat possibly. Hopefully people are thinking this through.
The idea is probably to bump us up into T1 as a new old contender, not to make T2 more competitive.
Whether a server is stacked or not, I would have wanted to see more even scores this week.
Nonetheless, Blackgate fights on.
Before the sad politics of Eredon Terrace tore the realm apart, I transferred to Blackgate and saw a thriving, lively community behind its obsidian walls.
Score update? T2 posts more score updates, and their match is practically over
I can’t be the only one that is amused at the number of SoR players complaining.
I also said it in the other thread.
I find it amusing that most of the bellyaching is coming from SoR when in all likelihood the SoR-TC-SBI match is one of the main reasons for this shuffle.
So the solution to an unbalanced match up is to create more unbalanced
Never said I agreed with the solution, just that the match blowouts due to mass transfers is what made ANet take this course of action. I am merely pointing out the irony.

Probably because we dont want to be lollersk8te roflstomping weak servers for who knows how long in the coming months to get back to a tier we already belong in. Things will pretty much end up exactly as they are now, all they did was add weeks of boring wvw.
The funny thing is that next week will probably be one of the more balanced wvw weeks we have seen for a very long time.
Whether its SoS or BG or by some miracle JQ that replaces you the outcome will be pretty much the same. The reason T2 is such a mess right now is because of the meltdown of SBI (and subsequent fusion into your server) and the projected T2 quality servers that have yet to gain the rating.
I find it amusing that most of the bellyaching is coming from SoR when in all likelihood the SoR-TC-SBI match is one of the main reasons for this shuffle.
Win or lose, Blackgate will always have the coolest server name!
Im sure you would, as you are on the winning side. Best of luck in T1!
I find it funny that people are still requesting for score updates for this match, as if theres any excitement or tension as to how itll turn out.
- BG Won = hackers.
- BG Lost = they suck.I don’t see how this should demotivate a server from showing up. Every week, SoS wins because of having more manpower, SoS wins because they are tryhards, SoS wins because of ‘x’ holiday, SoS wins because of 2v1, etc. None of this should matter if your server is cereal.
Lets ask the guilds who did transfer off BG..some of them found their way to SoS, I believe. :-)
Not trolling, but I do suspect being persecuted for foul play is a bit different from your laundry list. :-)
Every day for weeks, anyone who came to the forums saw multiple threads titled things like “Blackgate hacks again” “Blackgate is a server of cheaters” “Blackgate steals orb” “Blackgate mesmer exploits Bay”. Some of those threads still exist on the forums, if you look far back enough, you can find them.
We can rip off these scarlet letters now. If there’s anything that has been proven true about Blackgate, it is that it is a tenacious server. It has survived an exodus, smear campaigns and troop attritions, and clawed it’s way back to T1 on multiple occasions.
With SOS acquiring yet another fine guild in ND, PRX finally settling on JQ, Blackgate is in for some amazingly tough fights.

Awesome work testing this. Thank you.
My game has been running fine until sometime last week. Now whenever a mid-sized group of players bunch up in an area, my game is more likely to crash. I’m guessing it’s the number of players on screen that’s causing it because I’ve been doing the jumping puzzle in WvW as well as going around doing random quests in PvE without any problems. Haven’t been able to take note of the error details just yet.
I’m hoping that we can get someone from ANet to comment on these concerns. I ran SE story mode last night with a group of pubs and got owned hard by the Fire Golem (2nd golem). We ended up not continuing because we had sunk nearly two hours with no signs of progress and people were starting to fall asleep. Just a couple of hours ago, I helped another group run through CM story for their first time. My elementalist died a total of 6 times. I ended up barely breaking even on the run..had I used waypoints I would have been at a loss. Sorry to say but I will be a lot more careful about acting the tour guide for a group of randoms who have good hearts but poor coordination (thus reducing my desire to play with casuals, which is also what the game intended to push you to doing, right?). Spending 30 minutes to an hour for zero net gain in a dungeon that you could call overtuned will keep me well away from this aspect of the game for a long while.
I really think this merits a serious look from the developers.
Budgeting and planning will only go so far. What about these instances of porting to a waypoint you’re practically on top of and shelling out more than a silver for it?
I have better specs than some people on this thread yet experience lower frame rates than they do.
i7 720m
8 GB RAM
NVIDIA 360m 1GB
500GB 7200rpm HD
At the lowest settings, I only get 30-40fps running around, and dip down to 20 during fights. At optimized settings, >30fps running around, 15 fps fighting and WvW is unplayable. I know my laptop isn’t cutting edge but I would expect that the lowest settings could at least maintain 40 fps all throughout.
I’m seeing some of the same sentiments and patterns that followed the most controversial Diablo 3 patch.
I sincerely hope you take note, ANet. This game was sold to me by its beauty and design philosophies that are clearly recorded in many articles and video interviews, and I want it to succeed still.
Seriously, why are some players caring about what other players do? Not everyone has 5 hours a day to spend gaming.
