I’m an experienced player from Tarnished Coast who’s been here since the beginning, my previous guild though has sort of died off due to boredom with the game. So I’m looking for a mainly PvE guild who has active members that enjoy talking to each other in guild chat, mumble, TS, etc. Basically a fun active community that isn’t 300 members, I prefer the small stuff. I also do a fair amount of sPvP. If your guild has somewhat of an interest in anime that would be awesome, but it is no means a requirement. If you want me just send me an invite in game or hit me up with a PM/comment on this post.
Light of Shadows [DARK] is a guild I run devoted to helping new players learn the game. Veterans are welcome too, we are very friendly, if you’re interested you can PM Oedith or send me a message
I help players new to GW2, I dont require rep, and I can hook you up with guild missions if you desire to do them, the guild has a good amount of upgrades and pretty soon I’m thinking I’ll be able to supply you with guild buffs, super friendly environment, Tarnished Coast based
So i figured out i need 3200 tokens without the meta achieve to get all the stuff i want, what’s the quickest way to go about this?
Unless you’re an RNG god I would just gold grind it and buy it off the TP
Just use the different i’s, like ì, í, î, ï, or the y, ÿ those all work for character names
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Human_female_light_armor
Here is a link to all the different human female armors, you can see which ones look the closest to that image, you can always mix and match
Unless you want to make a bunch of spreadsheets in excel and play the TP and somehow succeed in that, or take some heavy gambles with the Mystic Forge you won’t really save time or money, For me it was a process of a couple of months grinding dungeon paths and world events. Each day was CoF 1,2; CoE 1,2,3; AC 1,2,3; and then i spent a few hours running world events, e.g. Shadow Behemoth, Jormag, etc. You can also do Frostgorge Sound champ train for some easy money but its boring and tedious IMO and since the patch I’m not sure how viable that is. Otherwise just salvage all of you blues/greens, sell rares/exotics, with your dungeon tokens buy rare hoods 70+ and salvage for ectos, with the AC tokens buy exotic focuses and salvage. Once you get bored of that, take a break and go level an alt or something lol, hope this helps
A condi build is someone who specs to do primarily condition damage, i.e. burning, poison. If you’re referring to pvp, people’s specs vary, so some might have 30 in condition damage and duration however it’s entirely up to the player how they spec. If you want to roll conditions i would say pick which condition you think your class can do best, then make a spec to amplify that condition as much as possible, for example if you choose burning you will want traits that do extra things while the target has burning.
Feel free to send me an invite or message me in game, I would love to help you out. Character’s name is Oedith if you don’t feel like typing out the huge account name.
I’m not sure if the armor in the concept art is in the game, however there are some armors that look really close to it. Go look at the Human culture armor in Divinity’s Reach specifically the tier 3 stuff.
I highly suggest not going with a laptop, especially alienware, i had an alienware m17x r4 with an nvidia gtx 675m, it played gw2 fine on max settings…for a while, then the card shot itself, of course dell replaced it for me, then 7 months later it did the same thing, by that point the warranty expired and they offered to sell me a new card for $900. My laptop now runs intel 4000 graphics and i built a tower, my tower has never given me any problems and does max settings no problem, although i am using a gtx 780 which might be a little pricey depending on your budget.
Necros definitely have more survivability than ele’s, if you make a dps ele, you have the potential to have the highest dps in the game, however you are going to be extremely squishy. IMO both are equally fun to play it just depends on how squishy/much damage you want to do. Necros are going to have less dps but take more hits, and ele’s are the opposite.
Sorry mate, i don’t know if you can actually report people for that. Unless they kicked you to sell your spot, which i doubt seeing as its FoTM and no one sells that.
Then why is there no rank system? Someone who has played pvp for 100 hours is definitely going to be better than someone whos played pvp for 10 hours 99% of the time.
Why is it that I have to fight levels 40+ in pvp tourneys when im only level 14? I literally stand no chance, and its not very fun losing 12 games in a row because you can’t even compete.
What’s the song that plays after you defeat the high wizard in the Gates of Arah event? I also heard it at the temple of Melandru when i was farming mithril nodes and no event was going on.
What’s the name of the song that plays in the background right after you kill the high wizard in the gates of arah defend event?
Zhaitan killed him cause he was sick of getting 10 crystals after trying for mystic clovers.
Write yourself a post-it that says “Loot Chest at End” and stick it to your computer screen lol
^thats only if you go to 500, which you dont need to, if you go to 400 on the most expensive profession its maybe 30g, 0-400 cooking is about 5g, leatherworking/huntsman is also fairly cheap compared to some of the others
Do those “of Dreams” weapons that drop from the Aetherblade dungeon actually sell for 400g? And approximately how long does it take for them to sell?
If you try to “play” the mystic forge (toilet) you will drown in your own tears
That usually has something to do with your sound card, try replacing the drivers for it, or the card itself could just be on its way out.
I run this game with the 4770k, and it doesn’t even break a sweat, as for the cpu slots, i think the 2600 is an LGA 1155, where the 4770k is 1150 so you would need a new mobo
Tarnished Coast, we will shower you with many hearts
Yes, I went there because I am a greedy Norn who spends too much time hitting the keg and can’t seem to keep his gold long enough to reach approx. 800g for Dusk. I tried selling my soul as well, but turns out Norn souls are next to nothing. So I bow before you and humbly ask “May you pity this forsaken soul and donate 1s to my pitiful self?” Thank you citizens of Tyria I will now go rot in the deepest, darkest, most rancid pits under Jormag to reflect upon my sins.
Unfortunately the gas mask skin was the Meta-Achievement reward for that particular story if i recall, so i don’t think it’s possible to get it at this time :p perhaps in the future anet will release something that does let you get it though.
I think the fractal back piece does that
You can get better gear if you really want to go out of your way for it, such as buying rares for your current level off the TP, or running dungeons within your level range and getting lucky and receiving rare. however based on personal experience I would say to skip trying to get better gear right now, and just go with what ever happens to drop for you while questing, your personal story will also give some half decent gear if you have been keeping up with that. Because in the long run anything you get now will pretty much become outdated in a couple levels and you will be no better off than where you are now. Just keep going till 80 then you can get a full set of exotics really quick.
Run dungeons, each path grants about 1 level
Go into your Documents, then Guild Wars 2. If it’s not there just make a folder called Music
Get on your thief, and put Jormag’s Breath in his inventory, then find a sword with the stats you want, and Transmute Jormag’s Breath to that Sword, should reset the soulbinding
So I’ve been grinding for a few weeks now, finally got up to 300g, too bad Dusk is 900g give or take. And I’m slowly losing my motivation to keep going after running so many dungeon paths and doing so many events day in, day out. How do you even reach this amount of money?
Riddle me this, riddle me that (FPS question)

do you have v-sync enabled? if so disable it.
does the bag you are trying to remove have items in it? If so the game wont let you do anything with your bag, if you want to get rid of a bag or switch it make sure it is empty.
Anet I love this event, but when your server becomes too lazy to participate in it, it becomes impossible, 10 people cannot take down this boss. What is the point of putting in all that work if no one even does it anymore it seems like a huge waste. I propose you have the event scale to the number of players in the area so we can at least have a chance of using teamwork to down the boss, if this or some other solution doesn’t happen I fear that if the player base should start to drop even more events will become unplayable.

Yes but i really don’t think it can be heat it never goes above 70, and why would heat just start causing a problem now? The temp was the exact same last week when i wasn’t having any problems.

I cleaned the drivers, forced downclocking of my gpu , which was at defaults before, and the problem still persists, would dust inside my laptop somehow cause this? i dont see how it could be heat related, but it never happens right away its always 20 minutes or so into playing gw2, so i guess that could be it, although its never had a problem with heat before, and this new of a card should handle 70 C no problem. Plus when GW2 crashes i can go to the desktop and do everything like nothing happened.

How could it not be GW2, nothing else causes this problem, if it was a driver error it would pop up in everything else i do, especially the more demanding games i own. I feel like its some script within gw2’s settings or something that triggers it

yes but i changed nothing and didnt update anything, the only thing i did was get the tiny gw2 patch and now its just flipping left and right on me. I already did the drivers, that’s not it. And it is not running in power saver mode. It’s never had a problem with this game before. And it handles my more graphically demanding games fine.

So after modifiying the registry to increase the Timout failure time, I managed to avoid the bsod however gw2 still crashed and died, so i know that was the cause of the BSoD’s upon trying to re launch i now get an error: Unable to open Archive file,…then the path name User\Documents\Guild Wars 2\ Local.dat

So after the very small patch that isn’t even listed i started getting random BSoD’s within this game, they only occur in this game and it happens after about 20 minutes of gameplay give or take. The error is BCCode: 116…. basically stating “Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed” so I know it is with the video card. Which is an Nvidia GTX 675m. I’ve done a re install of the drivers, i re installed gw2 as well. Neither of which fixed the problem, I also know it is not temp related, GPU maintains a solid 70 C under a load, and it handles all my other games fine. Please Help with this thanks
