I just transferred off magummera. Its a awful server full of trolls and wannabe pro chest thumping gamers. Some guy stole my golem and ran it off a cliff while saying over local chat “waste of 1 gold”. Once I was downed in JP and downed my oppenet at same time, a NOVA magumra guy was there, all he had to do was finish enemy or pick me up. He did neither and I died watching as he autoattacked downed enemy who rallied off me and then killed him. They cant portal bomb at all, they dont even know how portal works. I cant count number of times I see golems ported backwards, or in JP a mesmer up top is under attack, he has 10+ guys below waiting for port to back him up, he tries to be a hero up top and dies like a moron. I saw a flame ram up near JP treasure, seriously the portal door up there does not take damage from siege! This is kind of server maggumma is, you may think this is a troll thread but everything I said is true and I left so I dont have to deal with it anymore. Get out now while you can.

PS: they have a awful troll commander named Invalid Telivision or some kitten that leads zergs off cliffs to crater deaths, I think he was in a guild called Bill Murray.

You have to look at what type of WvW you want to do? If you like endless zerg fights 24/7 then T1-T3 is where it can be found. If you want 12/7 zerg fight with small mans then T4-T6. If you want just casual small mans and small zergs then T7-T9.

It’s not always that great to hit T3 if you don’t want to zerg 24/7…..

People on SOS are skipping work to maintain a 4:1 advantage 24/7. That’s just not right. Help them out people! people!

Dragonbrand had lots of guild transfer over to them to cover NA primetime when they were in T5. Had it not been for that they wouldn’t have dominated T5 so much that they overtook two servers in T4 in score the following week. Maguuma dropped down one tier as a result since we came in third. Maguuma needed two weeks to match the domination that Dragonbrand put out on T5.

What was wrong with fighting in T1 if you lust for battle. Weird concept I say.

Looks like WarMachine run a gank style zerg. Xushin does that pretty well on Maguuma.

Your screenshot doesn’t show the dark hill just north above where you were looking. That’s another spot for ballista that can fire at your location. Did you notice if there were ballistas there?

That is correct I’ve seen ballista crit.

From my experience, it takes 2 shots from a superior ballista to take someone out. Each shot does about 1/2 to 3/4 health. Since the screen shot showed two shots, I’d think this would be legitimate.

I think op is mistaken that the ballista was a regular balista. There were two shots fired as well, not one.

We will be dealing with nightcappers for the forseable future. Nightcappers going up tiers and nightcappers going down tiers. Looking forward to defending the alamo.

If you want a free high quailty recording program. You can use Enjin Clients video recorder. Enjin is made for gamers… suprised more people havent heard about it.

Lets you adjust video quailty rates, fps, and all that good stuff. The recording tool even attaches itself in-game. so you dont need to Alt+Tab to start frapsing or any of that.

Necro has several fears that help stops people from reviving and gives you more time to stomp as well.

My crit is something like 61%, plus the 5% from my MH sigil and whatever I have from the OH perception sigil. I also have pretty decent access to fury, so getting >90% is definitely a possibility.

Are you using the vampiric precisions trait and is it effective?

I run a power/tough/vit necro build and I’m a tank with good dps. I’m considering losing some vit for more precision and taking vampiric precision.

If you’re poor, I’d suggest doing dungeon runs for token. You get 60token per path in a dungeon per day. You can get a set of armor and weapon in a week and a half or so.

I am. Every decent guild that transfers to Mag is one less guild to fight. First SM and now WaR. If too many of the good guilds transfer to Mag, the action is going to suck. Will have to transfer to another server in the tier just to fight them again.

This would be a problem if all we did was stay in this tier but when we’re outnumbered in other tiers, these skilled players would come in handy.

Also got a chance to run around with War’s group in EB last night and was impressed with their siege placement and teamwork during assaults.

That’s great for people who care about the server winning, but doesn’t do much for those of us who just want good fights.

Sure in this tier it sucks right now for finding good fights. Unless we’re magically tier 1 material, I’m sure we’ll be having good fights in the future.

*I just got farming for a new build and was looking to get back into WvW myself. But it’s boring outnumbering the opponent. Looking forward to competitive matchups in T4.

No we’re just in a tier lower then where we should be. These servers would roll heads in T6.

I’ve seen catapult despawn while placed on the ground after 30 minutes.

Those were illusions. I was there wondering as well but they aren’t individuals.

I don’t know the drama that went on with DH. But DH looked like a bandwagon server. You guys jumped the tiers real quick with your WvW population growth. Once DH got to T3 and got run over, people couldn’t handle losing and jumped ship.

Kaineng looks to be on the same trajectory.

This isn’t flaming but more pointing out that Bandwagoning is a huge problem that affects a lot of people. Not only the tier that Kaineng is on but also the tiers above them. Plus the server that these people came from will likely start dropping like a rock.

I just find it a problem when people try to sugar coat what they’re doing and then goes ahead with encouraging more people to bandwagon.

When I was on SBI, War Machine really wasn’t that big. The most War Machine players I ever saw together at any one time was maybe 10? The recruiter for War Machine International was pretty much never online (and I waited a whole week). I’ve seen that account online since WM left for Kaineng but definitely their international recruiting stalled for a bit. Or maybe they just didn’t like my resume. :|

Their commanders like Jang Gun and Amaranth of War are a bit like Invalid Password though. Pubbies go bananas when they join the field and they just get pumped up and feel invincible. They can raise an army really fast and keep it together for a long time.

Communication in /team chat was pretty tight on SBI so everyone just knew where to go, who they were following and what they were supposed to be doing. In tier 1 reset nights its all keep/tower warfare with large armies siege deadlocked in their own quadrants. The resets I played in were literally 6+ straight hours pushing back and forth over a supply camp because if you lose that one supply camp, you slowly start to lose the siege deadlock. I saw Amaranth try to split several times and it was an ordeal but thats just like Invalid trying split plays in Eternal. Everyone just wants to follow Invalid, not defend Pangloss. :|

They are iconic for sure. If any of you played Guild Wars 1 you know the reputation War Machine had. There was only like 8 of them but they were amongst the best players in that game and the most creative at the game’s peak. In a weird sort of way, running wiht 8x [WM] tags in Guild Wars 2 gives you a bit of that “wow, I’m playing with War Machine!” buzz, even though its not the same guys. They do have x factor.

Apparently WM grew to 100 members from what I read.

Our old nemesis from DH [RE] also transferred over to Kaineng. We will probably see them again in a few weeks.

War Machine moved from SBI so looks like SBI is going to be taking a nose dive. Will be interesting to see if War Machine’s night capping is as bad as DragonBrand.

I’m sure it’s happened, just not by that weird RED guild that goes about karma training on our borderlands with a zerg of uplevels that run away at the sight of 5 people and a ballista. Seriously, is this guild full of bots? I honestly can’t tell.

RED isn’t a bad guild at all, they’re very big and with every large guild there’s going to be varying players. Please don’t generalize.

Sorry I don’t mean to call them bad, I am legitimately wondering what they are doing zerging our BL with a bunch of uplevels. Are they already bored of this match and seriously just karma training? I mean I even see them do the centaur karma events. Nobody does those.

A large number of them have been karma training since we were in T8.

Check around 6:09 in this movie. The large zerg of green dots moving to take the supply camp and then the harpy before moving north is one of our wonderful karma train groups.

I keep trying to watch the dots but I inevitable end up watching the fighting instead, blah. That’s pretty funny, though. I’ve never seen a guild so dedicated to karma training. I wonder what they do with all that karma.

Hmmm [OG], what to say…

I tried to arrange a fair fight with Bunzy (respectable even number matchups), instead when others from Maguuma jump us, him and his buddies decide to jump in as well and claim victory (4 vs 5 + the 2 that jumped us). Ok that’s how it’s going to be… So, I bring more guys to the fight for a more even numbers matchup, [WäR] wins the fight. More [WäR] show up later to win more battles and now magically things are unfair.

While I will give credit that OG has some pretty strong players, if you’re going to troll others by fighting with unequal numbers, learn how to handle it when you lose.

Here is what happened, judge for yourself. They actually killed one of our members before the fight even started so it ended up 4 OG + 1 Random Mesmer vs 6 WaR (The mesmer went down early as we didn’t res him) One thing I can’t stand is people who lie, but it seems tier 5 love to do it.

I am not so sure what we are anymore since the current T4 servers have more people and better coverage than us now. But I don’t think any of the T5 servers do.

Looks like it’ll take 2 weeks or more to get bumped up to T4. I think we’re stronger when we have 2 strong opponents so I think we’ll get to prove ourselves when we get back up to T4. I have a feeling it’ll just be a merry go round between Yak, Ebay, and us going between T4 and T5.

Magumma’s weakness is the Asian zerg. Unless any T5 server got some in their pockets, they’re not going to be able to displace Magumma.

Several time last few weeks when I was on WvW occasionally, I would down a elementalist. They would go into mist form and then pop right up. Not sure if anyone has been seeing this as well.

My pets randomly will not attack no matter how close I am to the mob. Sometime as it’s attacking a mob it will break off and do a walk around before coming back to attack the mob. Sometime if I don’t auto attack but just use abilities, my pet won’t attack.

How come nobody ever whines in WvW.
