Well this is certainly something. A friend just linked me this, after us first seeing them announcing a toughness buff at a tower over team chat. Anyone else have more experience with these fellows? What are they all about?

I have seen over half of those guilds in WvW. They’re not hardcore but I see them often. Think [MATE] is the largest of the bunch.

Another guild [TRA] who has a good commander Missy Duo can show up in force at time as well.

I think when all these guys show up at once it’s like Maguuma 2.0.

Gw2 ToS is pretty clear on harassment. Actually in their ToS it clearly states that “reporting players maliciously” is a form of harassment and violation of the ToS. Let me continue on that it also states “you may not defraud, harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other players.” I have done none of these listed above, im only fortifying what you have done already. Im not threatening you, you already embarrassed yourself by making the guild (not me). Im not causing distress, and attention is clearly what you seaked to gain by making the guild.

Score update at the recently remodeled EVOH Garrison in DB BL

I like the ventilation for hot summer months.

I went the juggermancer route with 20 curses, 20 death magic, 30 blood magic. Get all abilities to buff staff and wells, mark of evasion, and weakening shroud. Drop marks/wells, then charge into zerg mob with an evasive roll to drop a mark of blood. Pop into DS to trigger enfeebling blood and fury boon before casting life transfer. Then pop plague form to run back out to drop more marks/wells. It works well for me and most of the time I make it out.

Long ago someone was made fun of for placing a ram to attack a wall. Ha, jokes on them it’s actually cool now.

Powermancer, I had a hard time stacking condition in WvW. No one lets you get within 1200 distance to stack conditions for 10+ seconds. With powermance, I run in drop marks/wells and run back out.

I’ve been hit by spikeroot fruit in WvW which does a knockdown. There is no cooldown and I can get pinned forever until killed by it.

I’ve reported roughly 10 hackers so far this matchup, ALL of them from Dragonbrand.

While I don’t blame the entire server for the actions of 10 people, it is concerning to see this many in only 2 days so far, from the same server.

What are the odds!? 51 servers in the world, and somehow, we have all the hackers.

Obviously, the hackers are the same ones conspiring to double team Maguuma.

Why does DB have so many hackers who double team Maguuma? Seriously, you guys are approaching Emry Bay’s animosity.

I wouldn’t say that what DB does is any different than what any other server does. It certainly is not Machaveillian. It’s just DB solidifying their position in a logical manner.

If DB truly desired to win the match up, they would wisely court themselves to Maguumas WvW guilds to team up on FA. Now that would be cunning and interesting.

DB is kitten about losing to Mag in the past. They’re resorting to weak tactics to not lose to Mag.

Double team happens. It’s nature of the game. But this is not the first WvW matchup I’ve been on. In fact, I’ve been involved in at least 4 other matchups with DB and besides this week and two weeks ago you guys weren’t blantantly double teaming us. It was funny two weeks ago when DB teamed up with FA. Sure I got it, you guys wanted to welcome Mag to Tier 3 but it’s pretty sad that many DB still rely on this stuff. It’s like you guys have developed your overall strategy to join up with FA. I have not seen this kind of behaviour in other matchups and it’s pretty weak. This is not T1, maybe get there first before copycating them.

I know it feels like double teaming, but we are not believe me. before the matchup almost all the major guilds had a meeting on who is doing what in which bl. And MAG bl is one of the places where we are at too. We were actually fighting DB the entire time and DB was the ones that took the keeps we held in mag, not mag themselves. So I can assure u that we are not double teaming.

Ok maybe it’s DB trying to compensate for something cause from what I see, DB queue’s Mag BL while their own BL isn’t controlled and they time their attack to coincide with FA.

Cool 2 threads to double the post count. Smart.

Long duration CC in GW2 doesn’t compare to DAOC. DAOC had 60+ seconds mesmerize, 60+ seconds roots, 11 second stuns, and 180+ seconds disease (slow) with no target limit. Even though there were diminishing returns, gank groups just alternate between the various CC’s to freeze them in place then target assist kill everything. You can’t do this in GW2.

People have to remember that radar made 8man teams popular in DAOC. It was easy to farm anyone who weren’t using radar software cheat due to having CC’s with long duration and no player limit. Plus it allowed 8 man teams to avoid any fight they don’t want to get involved. This allowed them to shoot up the ranks and get even stronger. Win win all around so there was a strong incentive in DAOC to play 8 man teams.

A long shot i know, I hope Anet matches Kaineng up against JQ or one of the other tier 1 servers this up coming week. Kaineng needs an epic beat down and , speaking for myself only , would love for my server to face them. I’m still bitter about being spawn camped by 30 + Kaineng while my old server could only muster 5 – 10 people by the end of the week lol.

I admire the skill of Kaineng being able to beat servers that have a lot less wvw population. Good luck in T2 Kaineng, I have a feeling you’ll need it.

I get the feeling some of Kaineng hasn’t been to the upper tiers before but I have. Having been a native SBI, I’ve seen T1/2 pressures and they really are 24/7.

While I can’t imagine WM numbers pulling in anything under T3 when they are fully active, I don’t think our NA presence is quite enough to keep up with our opposition during the day. I get the feeling that, when the dust settles, we will find ourselves torn between T2 and T3 simply because of our oceanics.\

It’s unfortunate, really. I’m sure they feel the same way we do when they spend all of their evening fighting tooth and nail (which will happen in upper tiers) only to wake up in their morning with everything lost. I can definitely say CO will do our best to make sure that doesn’t happen but the upper tiers are crazy high pressure and, from what I’ve seen, we just don’t have the NA daytime numbers to make it happen.

That being said, I will be happy wherever we end up on the boards so long as we don’t settle in T1. WvW is pretty fun regardless of who I am fighting against.

I’d also like to say (though most of you know it) that you tend to get back what you put out in these forums. I see a lot of animosity beginning early in these threads just because people don’t like to lose and like losing badly even more. Insults begin being thrown back and forth, tensions rise, and before you know it all that’s left is a venomous environment.

Most of the people I encounter on Kaineng are friendly, happy, and fun-loving. I know things can get heated and some players are not as skilled as others but, should we ever encounter each other again, let’s try and keep it a little nicer in here. I had a great time fighting you all when things were even. I encountered DBs much more often than Mags but it was good times, regardless. I know plenty of you feel the same and I do not judge your servers by any of the negativity shown here. Please don’t judge mine by any that we’ve shown either :-)

I can summarize the negativity directed towards KN:

1) Dimissal of reset night result and using score days later as justification for chest thumping.
2) “Unusual” group movement by subset of [WM] in Eternal Battleground.

Roaming worked well in DAOC because there were CC and AE that was capable of killing zerg. Plus there was radar that allowed roamers to strike at will against zergs who didn’t have radar. There were alot of advantages to gank groups in DAOC as compared to GW2.

Name a matchup when this wasn’t the case after Kaineng’s server explosion. Maybe the issue is not with the opposing servers. Maybe there are legitimate issues being discussed.

I dunno these look like a different subset of WM. They actually spread out and range attack. Plus this is happening on Borderlands where as it seems the zombie WM guys are in EB.

It’s the same WM as any. It happened on the borderlands because Kaineng had ~650ppt at almost all times and that was right below Ehmry’s spawn, where there was actually something to fight(however uncoordinated it was). You can hear Jang issuing orders the entire time, much like he would be in that Danelon video. If any of them get too far, he’ll even call them out to make sure they’re moving with the group. You can hear it when the filmer(Kaktiel) gets immobilized and Jang calls out his name because he’s not with the group. From the defender’s side you see a lynch mob running in unison. I see 60+ people in a teamspeak channel that I doubt are there just for show.

I spent a whole weekend fighting on various borderlands and came across various groups of WM. None of them seem out of the ordinary. Some of them like to bunch up and attack sure. But they respond to pressure like any other group. I didn’t find anything unusual until I took a few hours to play in EB. Now those WM guys in EB stood out to me the moment I fought them. I have already posted various tests to show how their behaviour was suspect.

Exactly. When you hear great stories about how some guilds are feared and perform well you want to fight them to see how you measure up and also to learn something from them. It’s sad to say that the only thing I have learned so far from playing against WM is that in open field their strategy is not sustainable and requires that the people they face have not seen them before.

Maybe it’s their reason to go to T8 where they can farm hapless opponents for weeks.

Im going to go out on a limb here and suggest it is because WM likes to Pvp, against players.

They have admitted in the past to allowing walls to fall so they can Pvp the opposition who then enters. That is way more fun than siege warfare and siege defense.

They have admitted in the past to allowing opponents to have some towers etc. so players will come out and Pvp. When dominance is absolute, players stop going to WvW and Pve instead.

From the video, a couple things. There were way way more dead players than your claim of 6 defenders supports. Secondly, I think it likely they saw many more of your allies than you did because of the new culling system.

In short, this kind of thing isn’t talked about very often. Inexperienced players think it is “farming” but it is not. Given the option of fighting and getting rezzed so I can fight again without running back, getting rezzed is far more preferable to dying and having the battle end. The score, or counting the number of deaths, or zerging is for chumps. The real fun is in the Pvp and that is not going to happen if the camp is taken or the opponents are wiped and the guild moves on.

It’s no accident that many posts from “Non” bandwagon servers speak of the fun of playing Wvw, even if the only things that are in their hands are a couple of towers and camps in their own borderland.

That is one boring pvp. Run in a congo line, smash 1111111. Profit.

Apparently a person who runs with WM zergball told me that they are real people who just plays like zombies.

I think ppl are saying NA Kaineng perform poorly at reset in T3 and T4 when numbers are even. This gets interpreted as NA Kaineng not being as good as their opponents. The WM “zombies” in EB behave in a very unusual matter and that is what being discussed.
