Guild Wars 2

Ya, back when the game first came out. Not knowing you can have more than 5 char slots, no name change scrolls and no way to edit your characters appearance. Or at some point i wanted to check out a class with a different race.

I have at least deleted 3 lvl 80’s that i can remember.(others in the 40’s) I eventually found out you can have up to 41 char slots so i spent a lot of time farming gold and got up to 18 char slots when gems went 12 silver per 100 at the time. china farmers/botters destroyed that and it never recovered.

Ya, you should be able to have the same hide options as armor. helm, gloves and pauldrons. The new outfit looks nice and tempting to buy until you see the huge eye sore that we don’t seem to have the option to hide. Raiment of Lich is another armor that looks so good, just has the eye sores.(i do have that one)

Why bother letting us hide helms on outfits if we can’t hide the same things as armor?

I’m not to sure what happened, i decided to just try and log back onto the game(few hours ago) and it said it was uninstalled. I didn’t see anything get taken out of the folders, i used the install discs to reinstall the game. no 32-bit icon in the foldrs but it does launch as 32.

Load times seem good so far, jumping around maps. will need more testing like what happened last night, karka queen just spawned and a wped. took 1min 30sec to load and missed the whole thing. not sure if i want to try uninstalling again to see if i get the same problem, maybe when i got some time.

Games been pretty slow lately on loading everything and i think most of that is due to the 64-bit client. Before you ask i should have no problem with that. Anyway i just wanted to get back to the 32-bit client and clean out the gw2 folder. which is still same folder since beta 1. I go to the programs and features, highlight guild wars 2 and click the uninstall button and it just instant crashes. It still shows the pre-hot launcher with caithe. I’m not sure what to do, doesn’t seem like i can uninstall the game.

I like being able to see the block list even though 99% of mine is just gold sellers. One reason to keep the block list, the guild i’m in is made up of 6 guilds. I have seen many members accidentally block guild leaders while try to join on a map for whatever raid is going on.(and not know it) If there was no block list to see they would never be able to unblock that guild leader that i know of.

Only MMO’s where i seen that used was a couple 2d side scrollers like maplestory. This game would be better played with a x box360 control pad. Sounds like a controller isn’t optional then. Dark Souls and Phantasy Star Online 2 are great games on a controller but simply suck with keyboard and mouse.

A control might be possible. i didn’t have anything installed to test it out. Plus it was only closed beta, so some stuff was probably left out. I would have to do some search on that.

Speak for yourself, i’m glad you can buy Shards of Glory.(PvP) 100% annoying if you where forced to do PvP. for those that aren’t into it. WvW stuff i don’t mind grinding out, plus you get the stuff to make those HR scrolls.(i’m rank 325)

Those fractal chests are another thing, there are some people that will never do them. now the people that do fractal’s can share what they get for a most likely unreasonable price, but at least other people can now get that stuff. “you” don’t have to buy them since that is what you are crying about.

Thought my guild chat was dead after the update. went to go kill teq and have been getting that network error since. I found all of my guildies on their TS channel “complaining about the update” lol awsome

this is good news. I at least was able to get my reaper to only needing 145 more HP to finish her off.(100% map completion) But for my Eni/scrapper you still need to get every other utility skill in order to open your Scrapper trait, I was able to unlock just the hammer. 340 more points to go. i was pretty much just going to ignore opening any specializations because of that and go full reaper.

All MMO’s have bugs, new update brings new bugs. if you can’t deal with it, buy a consol. Also go to this thread in the link below and report the bugs you never named.

Halloween, Hot is forever while Halloween is a temp 2 week event once a year. They got that amazing ascended back piece that you have to work towards, plus all the stuff all the other skins and mini’s you can get. Hot will be on the back burner for the next 2 weeks.

It was a fun class to test, just won’t need it on day 1. I got a couple scrolls to get to lvl30 and 130 tombs to use. race will be between human, asura and charr.(don’t like sylvari in heavy armor) I’ll wait till Halloween to final the Rev. I would rather see what it takes to make a reaper day 1 then jump into the Halloween stuff for the next 2 weeks.

Love it! No idea why they decided not to bring this back the past 2 years. All i know is Hot content will be on the back burner for those 2 weeks. I’ll think about getting 2 specializations if it’s fast.(necro/engi)

Hmm, GW: Nightfalls was released in october and they had the holloween Events and new hats.(In LA and Nightfalls main town) I’m sure there will be new hats to get during Mad King Says. new weapons skins from the events? who knows, but the events will most likely be the Blood prince stuff from the past 2 years.

While there is some outfits for a good female looks.(daydreamer/wedding) It doesn’t change the fact that Medium and light armors all look the same for charr and asura, Your gender is male. I would like to see more female “Armors” for our charrs and asura’s. outfits we have to pay for, we shouldn’t have to pay to look like a female.

To early to complain about the other things mentioned, i’ll wait for the release to see how everything goes with the gear and build i use. My necro’s are mainly Condi builds

The point of the Beta is exactly to provide feedback now, before release.

I know how beta’s work. I’m not going to have any time saturday or sunday, i won’t be home. I’m going to test a few specializations and have fun while i can. There’s no sinister gear in beta, so i can’t test my builds. I did say i didn’t like the reapers shroud skill 5 and would rather have death shrouds skill 5. It just seems they gave a weaker skill 5 in reapers shroud and i don’t like it.

They said i had the title, it never showed up on my account. I never had the kitten title, i would have seen it. i was looking at my list of titles the other day. Every Ap i earned i got by doing Dailies, LS and whatever else gives them. i don’t do Pvp matches. Never an Exploit.

…for something i didn’t do. Awsome..good going Anet. A+ for that fail. Recieved an ingame mail as i logged onto the beta Test saying i got the “God walking Against Mere Mortals”. I never finished the Title in Gw1, got up to like 35/50. never exploited anything in GW2. And you guys just take away my hard earned Ap points that just broke the 14k mark last week. now back down to 13,727. The skin i just open is gone(the long bow) and a can’t get back, but now i have to get 773 Ap points just to get the next chest. what a bunch of BS this is.

The one thing i didn’t like about the cores personal story was you could do everything solo “but” the final mission to take down Zhaitan. I got 17 lvl80’s and only finished the final mission on one character.

If they pull the same stunt for taking down Mordremoth I’m going to be kittened.

Nightfall collectors was $59.99 not 50 or under. Guild wars: factions collectors went for $69.99 and you got less than nightfall. Eye of the north being the only expansion for gw1 went for $39.99

If they gave out the release date at E3 they would be forced to rush the expansion out and have it “playable” that day. i would rather have a finished product than lets say Batman: Arkham Knight the PC version.(bad port..but still)

Let them get through a few Beta tests and let them decide if it’s ready. Thats all it took for the core game. I prepuchased and will happily play the beta’s and try to break the Expansion for them.

I got into the first closed beta, didn’t get into the second CB after all that farming as my first CB slot got deleted.. didn’t cry.

they never showed us 100% of the Core game, why would you expect them to spoil everything for you? Single player games get the same treatment. Show a little. By Beta 3 for the core game we where in the lvl50 zones and locked out of anything past that.

There is plenty of map for new zones, plus they can extend the map out.

Plus they can extend the map out more like they did with the Expansion Eye of the north. that was a $39.99 expansion back in 2007 that “required” you to have one of the Full versions of Guild wars.(Factions, nightfall) If HoT didn’t come with the main game, it won’t work. it’s not a stand alone game.

It’s an “Expansion”. let’s say you are right that you can play HoT without the core game. you won’t have Access to any of the map in the core game. If you read what i said above about Eye of the north, that is an expansion that wouldn’t work if you didn’t have the core game. I don’t know how WoW expansion work, but this isn’t WoW. i would think you need the core WoW game in order for any of the expansions to work.

of course you would need core game to access HoT, but what would the existing core game owner do with the supposedly “free” core game when in fact it was bundle that are jacked up in price…. ?

It’s bundled for the new players. Would i rather have it bundled with 1 character slot for $49.99? Yup. I’ll just delete a copy of a class i have to many of.

Look at the bundle this way, the past 2 sales they had the Core game was only $9.99. Maybe HoT only costs $39.99 but with the core game always on sale for new people. The price isn’t going to stay $49.99 forever, and i’m sure they will put HoT in the gem store eventually with the core game Not included.

You don’t need 2 computers if you have a second account. just change the info when logging in to get to the other account.

You can install the game on both comps if wanted, core and expansion. I would recommend Linking HoT to your main account. you would still need to buy HoT a second time for an alt account.

What you got is called a sale price. It was $59.99 when it launched.

I found a long bow called Arthropoda. Got 200g from it. Think i got it from the krait lab event by Teq, my guild does a champ farm before the fight.

You keep comparing maps with Hostile mobs, fighting and death to Tyria cities where everything is safe. When scarlet attacked LA i’m pretty sure there was Depressing music on the map for that month.(i play with the music off now) You are complaining about a new map that’s had many deaths of tyrians in an on going war. It is not a cheerful area, all of the ships where annihilated. Will there be maps or a city(if there is one) with less depressing music? sure. If you don’t like the music there is always the mute button. I don’t play with music on now because there is so much more stuff to hear besides music.

Lets think..the first Closed Beta was split into 2 1 hour blocks. Maybe instead of complaining you should be thanking Anet for not making it another round of 2 1 hour blocks.

They haven’t announced the day for the next closed beta yet. This event is just to earn your way into the next one. I would assume this “get into C. beta” event will roll out on the patch time at noon tomorrow. There will be more info in the patch notes tomorrow.

As for previous beta testers, i would think we should be able to auto get into the next Test. I still have my Beta character/slot. the more numbers the better the test. i doubt they would dump the previous testers.

I grabbed a new account during the weekend deal, i just wanted to know if this is possible before i went and broke stuff. I already have it linked to my main account.

I think this may be a big problem for the guild that i’m in. On days we they do raffles before Triple Trouble they sometimes get 700+ gold. Which is all sent to one leader and raffled off after TT.

They don’t need anymore character bound stuff. Stuff like masteries that could take 6 months or more just to max out one of them gets a big No. Look at the GW1 titles for Eye of The North, you check mark 1 of them and a buff pops up on one of the corners of your screen. Those aren’t account bound and took months just to max them to Lvl10 on one character.

There are a lot of people with more than 10 characters and i’m one of them. I mostly play my necros and Ele’s. I sure don’t want to get on my thief and take a year to master anything on that character. Back to GW1 i only mastered the EotN Titles/skills on one character and that was my Ritualist. After that. i never wanted to go through that process again on any other characters. I could see the same thing happen if Masteries went character bound in HoT.

Easy? I’ve been playing this game since beta 1 and i still haven’t got that mythical item called a precursor. Yes, i farm a lot. So tell me how it’s easy without spending 1 gold just to get the first item needed to create a Legendary. I don’t have 10k gold like you where i can buy precursor’s off of the TP.

Not sure when it started. It wasn’t working after last nights reset and currently not right now. C.L.E.A.N. 5000 will not move from the starting point. Probably doesn’t matter but i’m on Tarnished coast.

Something seems off about this daily log-in. I got my first reward at yesterdays reset. I logged on a few times today before the daily reset, i just got on 5 minutes ago after daily reset. So i should of got the second reward. Do we have to be on at 6:59/11:59(server time) to get our reward the next minute? so far i’m not liking this new daily log-in system..

It’s very annoying. Here’s something i tried to do early. got 5,000 in this candy corn stuff but i was pretty much out of bank space. i have 580 gems, oh hey why don’t i spend a few gold to get that 20 gems that i need. nope, need 75g for 400 gems. that being the closest to what i need. I’m trying not to to spend any cash on this game for a few months. So i pretty much got stuck with selling some stuff or deleting stuff i didn’t want to delete so i could make room.

Anet was to lazy to make female armor for the Charr and Asura. So we get the looks of a male.

Ya..another lame attack. Was waiting on an organized teq map, TP wasn’t loading then it crashed.

Hello, my account was fully restored back to what it was before the hack. all of my gear, mats, ect are back. Took them a little over a day to investigate, got an e-mail a couple hours ago asking if i wanted my acccount restored. and got an email about 30min later saying everything was restored. Support has been amazing.

Make sure the expiration date you put in is right. I had a problem like this awhile, i was buying gems for a good while without a problem and then it suddenly started to fail. Exp date was wrong.

Thanks, i just sent in my second request for the night.(authentication problem) I don’t expect this to be resolved in 30min like that last one. hopefully they can restore my account back to late friday.
