come on man, use the common sense that God gave you

the server linking, feels like the solo ranked match of a certain moba, you will be paired and up against players similar of your skill on an average mmr/glicko, its a 50% chance of winning the match per game
a moba match is a 30 min average game play, the WvW is a week long and the linking is months….

why not try to lessen the linking and match time instead……
this will show the real skill of a certain server, if paired with different servers and have a consistent win rate
therefore, your infamous glicko would be saved….

i was lag free even on 80+ vs 80+ without wtfast @ 230 ping, but suddenly a few months ago that 1k ping happened, and playing feels like your on a slideshow

I wish that ANet would consider removing the Tier structure & all its complex match-up mechanics & just let All the Worlds Fight each other directly & Rank them for how well they fight in this big brawl.

Let the chips fall where they may weekly. Let the best NA & EU World be Ranked #1.

Then ANet just needs to Weekly update a Leaderboard to proudly proclaim who’s the #1 Ranked NA & EU World for everybody to see.

Let the Majority of Players that want to fight on & in the #1 Ranked WvW…do so…they’ll naturally gravitate to that World for the Epic Zerg fights…that should be happening there.

This way players can enjoy Epic Zerg Blobbing in the #1 Ranked WvW World & the Lower Ranked Worlds get to have a Slower paced & Smaller sized play style…because the majority of players would rather be else where.

Anyway…I feel the same…I hated the fair weather players & their bandwagons …it disrupts & destroys the health of long term WvW communities.

(stack on one server if you want, you’ll have 23 enemies for NA or 26 enemies for EU to demolish you lol)

mind you the definition of the current tier is population and not modes, battles, karma train or even roaming

i hope you’ve been on a real low tier to support your claim…….

so, with every server is picked and fought with all the same mode on every tier

If the Game Mode used a King of the Hill fight model…the Lower Ranked World Servers would have an ecosystem that allows Small Scale roaming, AND Epic Zerg battles would be found in the Top Ranked Worlds.

Using this Model…Players from the Lowest Ranked Servers would still be able to participate in attacking the #1 ranked, and the #1 ranked would earn less points attacking any Lower Ranked servers.

The #1 Ranked NA & EU Worlds would have to earn their Rank in this model.

hmmm, since this is a borderland map thread and everyone got their head on some weeds ill join the fuzz not on Eternal Battlegrind feast but on Edge of the Moist map.

I am finally getting the big picture. it isn’t about buffing or nerfing siege, buffing or nerfing player builds etc. if you have enough people, none of that matters. I wouldn’t be surprised to see tier 4 get dissolved into the upper three tiers.

I know all the potential negatives and trolling that can come from this. I did some commanding last night and it was nigh impossible to coordinate a stonemist 3 way with typing and the pugs simply ignoring the chat while the other servers were clearly in voice comms of some kind with how effectively they coordinated.

Something for my squad or for shot range comms that could help me coordinate pugs who don’t want to alt-tab out to get on teamspeak would be sweet. It should have vox, push to talk, and continuous stream options (though i doubt anyone would use the thrid one). If bandwidth is a problem anet could contract it out to Mumble or someone of the likes.

Anti trolling measures could include:
- Blocking a player blocks their voice comms too
- Commander has priority override option for their squad, cmdr and lieutenants can mute players in the squad
- Report options for language and harassment

im in favor of this since on page 2, it will help alot on new WvWers and the old as well as new aspiring commanders, it may come in handy on PVE too

but…. they are too focused on bugs and UIs lel…….

how bout WvW mastery or reward track that enables the use of in game voice chat since merges got every servers’ own voice comm got mixed up with different pips,

can someone try a 5ghz at zerg vs zerg fights (cant push high enough past 4.7ghz only air cooled)

or even if have the resources have a dual or quad socketted server board not OCed ofc test the fps at zergs

mine is at i7 4.5 ghz and a 980 ti and still get 35fps at zergs (queued zerg)

only improvement ive made was to turn off all “names” enemies, players, usable objects etc" then my fps at zergs got boosted up, downside is you dont know who is the enemy lol

turn off names and let the graphics identify an ally to an enemy (i wont spoon feed the lazy designers), even highlight enemies on minimap instead of the screen, no need to identify an “incoming” from red names that appear on screen, it just have to be on minimap
