To sum traitpoints up:
You unlock traitlines with manuals. The levels are “Adept”, “Master” and “Grandmaster”; so you need to unlock thrice and coincidently the manual NPC sells you three different manuals.
- You can unlock (consume the manuals) Adept as lvl11, Master at lvl40 and Grandmaster at lvl60. If you only unlocked Adept, you can’t put more than 10 points into any trait line. If you haven’t unlocked any, you can’t spend your trait points at all.
- You get 1 traitpoint each level starting from lvl11. There are no other means to get trait points.
- You reset your spent points (keyword “re-allocate”) at the manual npc. Not asking for a manual, but directly for a reset. The costs depends on your level, but is pretty cheap (<4s)
If ANet would create a single event which leads to the karka queen, players would kill her.
But right now you have to wait until her time window is closed and clear four cities. It’s missing the point “now is the time, all come to SSC”, not difficulty or time investment.
I did use rampager when I ran a bleeding build. You can get >70% crit (unbuffed) with a bit malice to make all your illusions bleed as hell.
But …
You’re as squishy as a berserker, while doing less damage, blocking other teammembers’ conditions and have a tough times with buildings and world bosses.
Maybe it fits staff condition builds, but not really for sharper images’.
You can, but not with backpieces since there’s no white/ blue one.

If you can infuse the backpiece, do so. It’ll grant you a new one (acc bound).
Food, Banners, Guildbuffs and Infusions were excluded. They should still work.
Be sure that you don’t use food “MF under the effect of a boon”. That isn’t shown in the hero panel (afaik).
All items (prefixes of equips and weapons) with MF as major stat (so all except celestial) have been removed from the game, intentionally.
It wasn’t intended for single players to drag down the party and get rewarded for it.
Be sure that you’re salvaging items above lvl 68. Yesterday I got 1~2 items below 60 dropped on my lvl80 char.
As for “ecto rate lowered” … as every patch … players try 10 items and immediately suspect ANet …
Get ascended rings from FotM. Instead of wasting 40 days for a ring, do it within 10d in FotM lvl10.
Get ascended earrings from guild commendations. Even “lower” guilds should have the missions by now.
Getting 1.3 Laurels per day is enough for me. I got 7 chars on 80 and almost all with ascended trinkets.
Doubleclick it and choose your preferred stats …
And if you’re at it; Infuse the ring and tell use what happens

I assume it works, but the hero window doesn’t display “under effect of a boon”.
The Runeset of Scavenging has no consistency. It basically adds random things. Nothing for me.
The Runeset of Noble looks nice at first, but two runes of altruism give you AoE 3 might on heal. While malice might be preferred by most (over healing power), the difference in secondary effects is just too great. Better use four runes of altruism and two runes of traveller.

But I just remembered, that I don’t know the duration of the altruisms aoe might.
Be sure to not be in an overflow while “managing guilds”.

You should’ve come from the floor into the room; so you’re seeing the backside of the destructible wall. Turn around and go the other way.

- Well, it wasn’t meant to collect 500 equips and salvage them at once. Regularly you salvage one by one and then consuming them is not a problem.
Hint: temporarily bind doubleclick to your mousewheel. - The lower essence of luck can be crafted. While it it quite pointless (turning 5×10 essences into 1×50 one), it grants crafting exp to the lower job levels. So instant-consumption would deny this option.
But I see no point for karma bottles anymore.
Ranger is close to the class with the most weapon options. Rather than giving them more, give it to others or cut them from the ranger.
As for seeing your critical attack (stat), it’s a combination of your attack and critical damage.
crtAtk = Attack * (150% + crtDmg)
to be exact, but calculates at the end. So with 50% crtDmg, your criticals deal double the damage of normal hits.
As for the damage floaters; As CreativeAnarchy said, you see numbers with red splash (blood ?) when you crit.
And as a reminder; Some mobs are immune to crits. Alot world bosses carry this attribute. You’ll never see crits on them.
Entering SAB removes all buffs. There’s a red warning.
Good question, haven’t thought about it. I also had 5 of those in total in my bank and have free stats now. When selecting a stat, it was still named Yakkington with the same icon. I guess I could bypass the “unique” rule with them.
But as for your question. I also have uninfused ones, but haven’t tried it.
And btw. it’s called infusing (/ Infused), not “ascension”.

You did not use a movement speed signet or swiftness while testing the runeset, did you ?
When you enter the SAB a red popup appears saying like “attention, you’ll lose all your current buffs”.
Maybe they should implement another 10 warnings just to prevent those “I didn’t read, must ask ANet to fix this” complains.

Actually bonus duration and bonus resistance are directly added. I’m not sure how the overflow works (cap), but generally, it’s this:
base bleeding of 10s
→ conduration + 50% —> 10s * 150% = 15s
→ conduration -25% —> 10s * (100% + 50% – 20%) = 13s

There are multiple valid suggestions in the … suggestion section. At least Cpt. Obvious said so.
All you guys said “increase the cap”, “make everyone to deal their own stacks” and “the cap is a bad design”. The cap is not a design choice but a technical. Increasing it is not possible without changes.

Making an online way to change it, would encourage hacking.
You all let is sound so easy to implement. While I’m having trouble imagining to be colorblind, I still know a bit about it and I also know about game creation.
As I said previously:
Making an option to swap the coloring of AoE circles from “W/ R” to “Y/ B” shouldn’t be difficult and solve the majority of problems.
Additionally making a further checkbox to enable a small border around minimap icons.
But even those two options wouldn’t completely solve the issue. As I know, TF2 enables icons as replacement of colored effects. Like a bottle of milk above a wet player’s head. But we have targetting here and the buff/ debuff icons should be fine, even with a monochrome weakness.
- Laser platforms:
They might be a problem. I don’ know how a R/G weakness player can confuse yellow ones on white/ blue, but even normal players have problem seeing them. They’re meant to be semi-visible.
If you really have problems seeing them (not difficulties, but problems), please list them here. It might help the devs (if any of them care). Swapping colors there is a bit more difficult because they’re not meant to be fully visible. But changing colors might make them so.
- AoE circles on monochrome weakness
Making them “brighter” and “darker” barely helps. Even know there’re surfaces you can see the white lines and some you can barely see them. Like right now on bright sand, white and yellow are barely separatable.
Coloring the whole field (instead of just the border) would make it too visible and disturbing when multiple AoEs are close.
Do not wear radiant gear as mesmer …
Well, the few times I joined the balthazar events, the morale lowered even without any NPC death. It felt like it lowered by simply damaging NPCs. And preventing damage on NPCs is simply impossible in this game. You can only heal them, and this didn’t bring the event back up.
So, I’m curious about the latest changes, but they sounded great.

Seems to be a problem with the new wallet.
To be frank, better do other dailies today.
You have to separate two “transformations”. First the “visual appearance”, in AC and the ascalon fractal you forcibly become transformed, but only your appearance. All other skills/ abilities still work. With those, you can summon clones (and phantasms) and they have your current appearance. This didn’t work at the beginning, but has been fixed for several months now.
But then, there’re “bundle transformations”. Two weeks ago (or one month) there was a patch which disables summoning clones while using a bundle. This hasn’t been fixed yet.
But well, don’t expect you to summon a clone within a full transformation (appearance, weapon skills and #6 ~ #0 swapped) like the power suit.

- “damage and blast finisher”; there already is a “damage and chill”. Don’t recklessly implement blast finishers
- “fury and swiftness”; I’d be fine with swiftness, but noone’d use it. Fury is a “rare” boon, don’t apply it to random things.
- “regen”; there’s already “heal”
- “cleansening”; no. Every class has their cleaning abilities
- “block”; same as above
- “light field”; sounds like you fear conditions. I’d agree with Dark, Etheral, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Poison and Water. But Light (cleansening) and Smoke (blind) would be too strong
- “AoE immobilize”; no … too much for a weaponswap
- “bleed”; there’s already “aoe bleed”

seeing Red and Green as “Brown” is common for R/G weaknesses (afaik). The Y/B weakness is much rarer but shouldn’t affect the current coloring of AoE circles. So a “free choice of colors” might be a bit too much. Especially since I don’t know how those sprites are realized. In worst case, the devs has to make a different one for each color. So making it swap-able between “white/ red” and “yellow/ blue” should be enough.
But well, you’re the first one that actually mentioned the minimap legend. This makes it a bit more difficult (organizing, not implementation). If you’d make a checkbox for “r/g weakness” players, “y/b weakness” players couldn’t enable it for the minimap. So the devs would need to make two separate checkboxes for the AoE circle coloring and the minimap highlighting.
Btw. minimap highlighting should be done with a light border around the icons.
And then, I don’t know howto realize the AoE circles with actual color blindness (monochrome). That’s basically my original question. As a person without those weaknesses, I don’t know what the problem is or howto solve them correctly.
If you could address what exactly the problem is, it could help the devs.
If it’s “just” the AoE circles, a simple fix would be to make the enemies’ ones blue or yellow with that checkbox. Or probably, friendly yellow and enemies’ blue. This shouldn’t need a big rework.
But if you expect a different dye palette, world maps or other things, it could be difficult.

Alot of them might give the players a bit more room to deal conditions while keeping the stress (called optimization) and very few of them even change the system to reduce the stress and lets players deal their condition individually. In this thread any discussion or suggestion is pointless. The posters here don’t seem to graps the problem or a possibly working solution.
As said before, it’s not a design issue (could be discussed here), but a technical issue. So it’s not “should it be improved”, but “how could an improvement look like”. So please keep those things in the suggestion section.

The main issue is bleeding, not burning or poison. Bleeding is individual and only duration stacking conditions have the “strongest first” rule.
Increasing the bleeding cap to 25 per player would increase the server stress on worls bosses to ~20x the current stress.

So you say each world boss only uses a char (8 bit) value to keep track of the bleedings ? Duration, Malice, and Source of 125 bleedings fit in 8 bits ?

Looked into this more and it does apply the torment but only at the end of the evade so you would have to run away, turn around and use withdraw backwards towards the enemy making this rune completely useless on a Thief. Plz add it to the start of the heal not the end.

Have you tried setting your graphic options back ? The patch reset them to the default ones.

But instead of an instant teleport button, I’d make it an elite skill with 10s fully interruptable casttime and 0s delay.
Then reject one of the other five guild invites, which are pending.
Back to the top, don’t want this to end up being one of those “fix 6 months later” bugs.
