Hi, I’m Olrun from Two Metas Ahead [Pro]. I know a lot of you are curious as to why we are invited. Let me start off by saying that we were not their first option. We replaced a last minute drop out and were only invited yesterday, just before the official announcement. However, most of you seem to be going off the assumption that we are not a good team. This is simply not true. You look at the leaderboards and question how a team such as ours got invited. My response is that we do not care about our leaderboard ranking. We have experimented with many team comps instead of just accepting the meta, eventually settling on the one we now use. Hopefully, you’ll see the results of our experimentation succeed on Friday. We practice when we do specifically so we frequently end up going against some of the top teams. And all of this is completely ignoring when we are just messing around. Let me give you an example of some of our other “teams:”

Beep Boop We Are [Bots] – 5 huge pink norn phantasm mesmers with nearly identical names
Welcome To The Petting [Zoo] – 5 spirit rangers
We’ve Got Spirit How About [You] – 5 spirit weapon guardians
Five Hundred Blades [Five] – 5 warriors
Minions R Us [MRU] – 5 minion mancers

Also, you may not have heard of us, but shoutcasters in the ASP can, and have, spectated our matches in team queue.

Cleansing Ire removes as many as 3 conditions per burst skill, as well as providing more adrenaline. Your warhorn is also traited to removed conditions.

I run this in team queue as well, and one of the strengths of bringing two banners is being able to have them at different points. Then we have constant regeneration in two fights. Also, the scaling on healing power is 0.225 per second. Cleric’s Amulet gives 798 Healing Power. The Jewel adds another 125, making it 923 Healing Power. That’s an additional 208 regeneration per second. The Soldier’s Amulet gives you 644 extra Vitality, which is 6,440 health. To match that with the regeneration boost, you’d have to survive approximately 30 seconds. Now, there are definitely fights that last that long. However, unless you’re getting focused, you’re going to stay at full health the whole fight. That means you have to survive 30 seconds while being focused for it to be worth it. Now, you could definitely get to that point with this build, so lets assume that you’re poisoned the whole fight, which isn’t that unbelievable in the current meta. Then you only regenerate 139 health per second, and you need to survive 46 seconds. I just feel like the Cleric’s Amulet is too situational.

Mace/Shield + Greatsword wins pretty much every 1v1. Against spirit rangers, you just cleave through the spirits. How are you going to survive, as any class, against a Shield Bash → Skull Crack → Hundred Blades. That’s a 6 second stun into a very high damage burst. I’ve been running it effectively at very high levels of play. Gibbly was complaining about how well I was sticking to him on stream.

I run it as a mid bunker, not a home point bunker, so I’m generally not going to be fighting alone. That means I don’t need to kill someone alone. Using Skull Crack, Shield Bash, and Flurry, I can hold someone in place for my team to burst. The condition removal from the warhorn and Cleansing Ire is enough almost all the time. To put it another way, I’ve been having enough success that I’ve been asked for my build many time, had multiple guardians say that bunker warriors need nerfs, and made Ostrich Eggs rage on stream.

I’ve recently been using this build in solo queue, and it’s quite effective. I think that the warrior bunker beats out the guardian bunker currently, especially in solo queue where it’s harder to focus you down. You maintain about 750 health regeneration per second with constant teamwide swiftness, vigor, and regeneration. You’re also quite tanky with 3.5k armor and 30k health.

This probably won’t be available for the people hacked prior to its implementation, right? I can farm everything else back, but I doubt I’ll ever be able to get another Greatsaw.

I was hacked last night, but I did manage to gain access to my account. However, they had removed everything. If they couldn’t use it, then they deleted it. I put in a support ticket and received a response changing the password to the account and informing me that they could not restore my items. Is this true? Is there really no way to restore the items that I’ve gathered in my 400 hours of play time? Not even the things already soulbound to me that they deleted out of spite?
