Simple solution. When it comes to such valuable items any time you are in a situation where you might be able to get rid of them/sell them, don’t start spamming left click. I weapon swap often as well. I don’t have items near that value at the moment but still important to me. I avoid such problems in two ways. When I trade the weapon out I take the extra 5 seconds to make sure I put it in the invisible bag and move other items to clear he spot if needed. Whenever I’m involved in a process that results in my character no longer having an item I take a second to pay attention to what I’m doing. I’m sorry but it isn’t that easy to nuke such things and in my opinion it is the fault of the person that did so.

EVEN IF YOU HAVE A FRACTAL BAG FOR EXOTIC GEAR: if you open Hero Window and then unequip the weapon by rightclicking it and then clicking “unequip”
then the weapon IS NOT put into the fractal box for exotic gear!!!!!

i only use dungeon armor/weapons because of that …. not that i couldnt buy armor/weapons for gold but i use extra time just to get the stats that i need with dungeon gear so it does not show up in the merchant window so that i dont have to scroll through it everytime/can not accidently sell it

and yes i do have invisible bags but i prefer exotic fractal box so that the gear is always put into the bag where it belongs to

There is a competition to fight him and before you finally get to fight him you have to fight against all the other ones:
Talon Silverwing, Devona, Kilroy, Koss, Little Thom, Lukas, and a lot of others including powerful enemies (lorewise) like Palawa Joko, Ghostly Hero
edit: to make any doubts fly away: you also have to fight The Great Zehtuka^^

so you have to fight all these before you are allowed to finally fight versus Magni the Bison because he is the best
.. and he is really hard too if you fight him with a “normal” build (no racial skills like “You Move Like a Dwarf!”, no super special builds like 55hp… and SpiritSpammer Ritualist is overpowered in 1vs1 anyway^^)

actually its very easy!
i dont know why so many people think thief is one of the hardest enemies for warriro while it is the easiest in my opinion!!! (at least with the build i use in spvp)

I use Axe/Shield + Hammer
traits 0-0-30-30-10
spvp Berzerker Amulett because we have definitly enough defense with that build

4x CC with short cooldowns (traited skill recharge time for hammer and shield)

even if s/d thief has stunbreaker then he may escape but it gives him 0 real advantage because he deals 0 damage while running away and as soon as he comes back he will be stunned/knocked down/knocked back again… so maybe he escapes but he just cant kill you and cant win in 90% of fights

only build that can be annoying is pistol offhand skill 5 which can cause a lot of blindness

I use shout warrior (also fully traited ofc)

if you stay in the smoke field then you have noch chance of dealing damage or landing your burst properly but with condition remove in the right second you can knock him out of the field or land your burst and my build is rather defensive for a warrior so if the thief doesnt play offensive it will be very hard for him to kill me….

in 90% of cases i either win vs a thief in spvp or it is sudden death (most times because the thief runs away when noticing he cant stand against the CC)

this build is Number 1 build for hotjoin spvp in my opinion

you have good heal + good condition remove + a lot of burst (adrenaline is built up super super fast) and the big amount of CC gives 2 more big advantages:
1) the enemy deals less damage while stunned/knocked down/…
2) it is way easier to hit the enemy and land your bursts more often

in general this build is very good versus thieves/other warriors/rangers/daggerdagger-eles (ddeles dont bring you down at least… 80% of fights vs dd-ele you either you win with this build or it is a sudden death but you dont lose too often in 1vs1 with this build…. scepter/dagger can be hard though)
guardians also dont bring you down normally (if you manage to hit with your CC then they dont deal too much damage and you have a chance of taking them down… it is important to care for their blindness from greatsword and sword and for their block ofc… but if you can land your CC and bursts then you have quite a good chance of winning)

good necros can be very hard ofc (condition remove with the 3 shouts is not bad and you can get rid of chill/criple/fear to land your burst but a good necro wont let you come close and even if you come close enough he can still dodge :/ …doesnt mean you cant win versus necro but it can be a tough one)

mesmers can be easy and can be hard depens on their build and how good you know the mesmer skills (so you arent confused by clones/invisibility and you know when to dodge their shatter burst)
…but i have to admit that with the right build and experience a mesmer is just superior to warrior in 1 vs 1

Engineers are another class that can be very annoying for warrior
they have the best CC of all classes…* its a mix of skill and luck which one of you lands its CC first on the other one* (or better: a chain of CC … you have 4x CC skills so you can lock enemies for quite some time if they dont have enough stun breakers!)
i think it really depends on the engineers skill levels but if engineer is experienced in spvp it wont be an easy fight!

the worst thing about this is that they spread out in the 3 seconds of invulnerability so you cant even use aoe…. you have to kill every one separate -.-

and actually the change has abokittenly no use:

In high level areas it was no real problem for others to get a hit too if they were close
now it is just hard and the invulnerability makes aoe useless to some part…

In low level areas they are still dying 1-2 hits and nothign changed!!!!!!
and it was only a problem in low level areas where so many people where
in high level areas you only met 1-2 others and most times noone else (at least i didnt)

tried to get to it from above … you get teleported in front of the house as soon as you are too close to it -.-

Yes, I know a majority of the forum seems to just have gobs of dosh laying around from exploiting game bugs, exploiting other players (bltc) and CoFp1 spamming, but really…

This is ridiculous:

• Mini costs 125 racing tokens.
• You earn a maximum of 7 tokens for winning a moa race. 3 for 2nd, 1 for third.
• You have a 20% chance of winning (un-alterable)
• It costs 50s per bet.
• You only earn money if you turn in your tokens for winner’s bags. Saving your tokens for the mini earns you nothing.

That is an absolute minimum of 9g you would have to spend assuming that you won 1st EVERY round (which you won’t) – and 62.5g assuming worst case scenario in which you still win 3rd place.

Anyone else feel this is a bit excessive for a mini?

Read the text?! Some kitten people invite you to their party in wvw when they loose. I usually don’t accept invites from other server in wvw, but they can see your name even if you don’t accept the invite.

Better solution would be to not show the name, if you don’t accept the invite.

i grouped up with hundreds of enemies in wvw after duels (sometimes for fun sometimes, for more dules, sometimes because they wanted to complain that i killed them in the jp for example … but noone ever made something like putting your name in a gw2lfg topic…. i guess you just had bad luck and met maybe the worst player in the game who cant accept to lose a fight or who just is sadistic and has fun at annoying other players :/ )

4.500 Karma x 1.95 = 8.775 Karma

Now you can be cry because you wasted 47.250 Karma (8.775-8.100 = 675 Karma per Jug wasted —> 70 jugs used —> 70 × 675 = 47.250) :P

so crazy… legendaries cost 4x or 5xmore than at start of the game

5 points in Shadow Arts: Last Refuge

Easily the 5 point trait last refuge in shadow arts for thieves, that stealths at 25% health kills you far more than it saves. It’s a free revealed to screw you over.

1,456 hours since headstart and Rank 26 in PvP. I think that’s a decent enough level of experience, don’t you? As for the “correct build” – there isn’t one. The build I use now is as good as I can get it for my playstyle. I’ve played most, if not all, of the most common “viable” builds with varying degrees of success. Regardless, the overall picture is one of a sub-par class in comparison to the other classes – an experience shared by enough fellow Warriors (as well as those who play other classes,) to validate my opinion. The almost complete absence of Warriors in top-level play must just be a coincidence too.

i still use my old warrior spvp/wvw build and dont use any of the new changed skills or the boondmg trait because in duels and spvp they arent of much use…

and i always wondered why thief or ranger have quickness with basically no negative effect (ranger: you dont really heal while using quickness because you usually wait for quickness when you are able to do your burst dmg safely anyway and thief: you also dont dodge that often while you have quickness on for the same reason.. and the endurance regeneration is not important for that short period of time.. you can still dodge and the endurance will regenerate after the 6 seconds of quickness…)

actually 1 vs 1 is the thing where they can be good
take a hammer and an axe/shield and you have your enemy knocked down/stunned so much that they cant deal too much dmg while you can reach them all the time

@ TheGuy: i think thieves are actually easiest enemy for warrior if traited right^^… only too much blindness on pistol skill 5 can be annoying but the rest is easy most times

i think hardest class is necro … so much conditions and criple+chilled+fear keeps you out of the necros range all the time… can be really annoying

Bunker ele is not too hard actually if you are defensive enough…
ele needs mobility and warrior can knock down/back and stun and immobilize and criple a lot

When for example mining a mithril node and you get hit by a control effect (knockdown/knockback/stun/daze/…) but you have the trait “Last Stand” from Warrior defense traitline active which gives you immediatly stability then the mining/gathering/chopping fails 100%..
i tested this really a lot of times

It seems like the game thinks you are knocked back or stunned so you cant mine anymore but in reality you can go on with mining because of the fact that stability prevents you from being affected by any control effect!

So i started not to use the last stand trait for the mining runs of my guild because i rather lose 5 seconds and be affected by the control effect than losing 3 orichalcum ores….

…but it can also be annoying if you have a “pro” Warrior with full cof set in your group

I have seen some topics now where people complained that their backpiece is clipping with their armor…

So why not give us an option to adjust the gap between the backpiece and you so players can change it in case the armor has parts sticking out more than the rest (for example Sylvari medium and light Tier 3 cultural shoulders often clip) or if their character is really small/big

This would pretty much solve all problems with clipping backpieces i think

THINK ABOUT THIS:

A player has only fun with fair fights but doesnt want tournaments at the moment because he is not keen on playing against a team of perfect combined skills/classes etc…

So he just wants some fun with randoms but with equal teams…

So he joins a game but after the start the groups remain unequal and he leaves the group with more players to make it fair and because he wouldnt want to play like this anyway….
So he gets a punishment for playing fair and making the game fair for others??

Better make normal spvp with guaranteed equal group numbers instead
THEN you can punish for leaving!

Why not make it like in GW1?

Make it able to report players for staning afk in spvp!
they take a spot but do nothing for their team…

Also i dont like that if i just want normal spvp fun without perfect team combinations required i have to accept that i will have unequal groups in 50% of the fights… always 5 vs 6 or 7 vs 8 etc etc…
Why cant you just make it like that games only start when 2 players are there and if a third person joins he will have to wait in spectator mode until a 4th person joins then they will both join each team at the same time so THAT THE GAME IS FAIR!!!!

i remember so many weapons in GW1 would look 1000% better being dyed black/white
… and i see a lot of GW1 skins in GW2 … looking WAY WORSE than in GW1 (because they cant be dyed …but not only because of that:for example jormags breath – ice dragon sword… i like the GW1 version a lot better^^ ..in GW2 its looks really ugly to me :/)
