it is about the fun of killing others because you are better than they are or because you chose a good point to camp that makes up any differences in numbers in case there are more enemies

you could use knights gear for a shout build

very useful to get rid of conditions as warrior doesnt have much condi remove otherwise
and the high armor will defend you from being bursted down too fast

just use mad kings costume and use nourishment that turns you into a ghost and you will see the effect

This is to decrease bandwidth and send less packets between the client and server by consolidating and re-using textures.

EDIT: This goes for every particle effect that emits a “blinding” light effect. The “dark” VFX from the fused weapons and hellfire armor come from their own texture packets.

every mesmer clone / necro spectral walk / stealth / nourishment with ghost effect
has an ugly bug too with radiant vambraces :/

Exactly where in the achievement does it say to kill x/x players? That is an actual achievement, completely separate from this one. This achievement says pretty specifically that you simply need to get to the kite. There is in no way, anything that specifies you must PvP, because this, as well as the rest of the achievements in this category, are PvE achievements.

In any case, the main point is not even about whether or not you should be PvPing. The whole point is that this achievement gives players a way to grief one another. It is disgusting and incredibly poor design.

The fact that it is in the pvp zone is proof that they intended it to require fighting if necessary!!

There is definitely some amount of truth to that, but I’d hesitate to say that much of what is going on in the JP is griefing, it is more that people unused to WvW are coming into a much deadlier map than they are accustomed to. That is the risk you take.

Where do you stop with that? It would become a money pit where to get the achievement you would have to buy the best equipment etc, and then after everyone got it, someone would complain, and try to push to bar even higher, and have an army of guardian guildies spam might. By the way, this is an achievement in name only, and only for the purposes of completion as it does not count numerically for the achievement (Achivment 0).

this has been in the game since release and i often noticed it at mad kings costume
and when using radiant vambraces the same effect appears

using mad kings costume or the radiant vambraces together with being a ghost makes the particle effects get crazy and show pictures of your characters face and body and armor…

as you can see on the screenshot
on the left side my characters face appears and on the right side the tattoos on my norns chest…

So The first piece of Hellfire armor cost 3k Achievement points progression to unlock, for a new players, they are easy to reach lvl80 within a week but if they want to get the armor skin they will have to play gw2 few months to unlock the first piece armor. By look at the achievement summary my guess the 2nd piece will cost 6k and the last piece probably cost 9k….With this ridiculous cost new players will need few years completing daily for few achievement point from completed each objectives!

i guess its not intended to be for new players…

We WvW players are still getting the crappiest rewards of them all… More badges, 90% of all rank up chests contains a green item and not even 20s, how can this be considered equal to what you get from one CoF run of 10-15 minutes, or an event that grants a bonus chest of not even 15 minutes…
But yeah, they do not listen, in fact, they make it worse. 300 Badges today from the Heavy Achievement chest, I mean, come on, this is not fair. PvE players who don’t like WvW can now easily complete this part of the Legendary by sitting akitten LA, or doing another CoF run.

i know Account email change has been possible in the past and then they disabled it some day…

And when you go to your Froum Profile and then click “Edit Profile” there is still a link for "Change your account email " but it just leads to password change!
(i suggest either make it possible to change account email again or change that link)

i agree that the skins you linked are the few acceptable ones with actually not too thin shafts but they need to be bigger in my opinion (~ the size of legendary greatswords)

just go to your achievement window and take another skin there

you can get as many skins from the skin you unlocked

if you play only wvw and if you arent unexperienced then this is no problem

if you grind only cof all day with a good team and max goldfind then your charged loadstones would be no problem too
