Seems like best thing to do is mix my flame legion armor with knights, does anyone have an idea how i should mix it up?
[Optimized Build]
Knights
Head
Chest
Legs
Rings
Two Handed Weapons
Berserkers
Shoulder
Hand
Foot
Amulet
Earrings
One Handed Weapons
Accessories
Exquisite Ruby Jewel on ALL pieces
It used to be Axe and Shield but now I’ve been playing with Axe and Mace and it’s insane.
Generally, with Warriors you don’t really need any more Vitality since we already have a high base HP. It’s either Knights (PPT) or Berserkers (PPC). There was an optimization guide about how to mix these two properly so you can have the most toughness out of your gear without trading off too much critical damage (that’s what I’m using right now).
Question:
Why get the 25 points in Discipline when it only gives 1 stack of Might… ? It’s one of the worst minor traits for the Warrior in my opinion.
Why not just put that extra 5 points on Strength 25? Since you have Signet of Stamina anyways, you get a 3% bonus damage when your stamina’s not full.
Or even better put it to your Defense tree instead -
Embrace the Pain (Adrenaline)
Sundering Mace (Mace CD)
Last Stand (Stability)
… are all better and more beneficial than that one stack of might.
Something like this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNAnZBIAQKsKLjiiCSpwu6SFED
Overall really great video. Nice gear as well! Post more videos in the future.

I’d say go for Soldier’s Runes so you don’t have to use Mending over Healing Surge. Earth is not bad, but something that Warriors are lacking are good Condition Removals. You can be the tankiest Warrior in the whole game but if you get bombarded by a ton of conditions, you’re pretty much over.
Just my two cents. (:
@BurrTheKing.8571
I think this is a really, really solid build. It’s a hell of a lot better than the average Greatsword Glass Cannon build you see out there. However, some suggestions:
Sigil of Rage on the shield only has a 10% chance to proc and it only lasts 3 seconds. Add to that the 45 second cooldown and it’s really not that effective.
I would suggest going for Sigil of Bloodlust which would significantly increase your damage output, especially in WvW where you can farm for Bloodlust easily off mobs.
Other alternatives:
Also, Sigil of Intelligence on the rifle is a bit overkill and it’s a bit unnecessary in my opinion. With the amount of fury that you have, plus some precision from your gear and accessories, food that you can eat to boost your precision, AND Critical Burst which gives another extra 10% critical chance on your burst skills, you could really benefit a lot more from other sigils (such as Force).
So now I’m having trouble deciding between these two builds. Thanks
.
I guess my decision hinders on this: Does the amount of added critical damage and overall attack power make up for better shield skills and more health??? (for a WvW solo roamer)
I’m using Sigil of Bloodlust on my shield so Power isn’t really a problem for me, and with 3k armor + Armored Attack my base attack is at 3k.
If you want all out DPS, then definitely go for his build. It is a glass cannon build but it’s slightly tankier than the Greatsword glass cannon because of the shield. With that said, his build, in my opinion, is easily kiteable because of the lack of gap closers and condition removals. If you’re soloing WvW with this build, you’ll definitely get a lot of kills, but the moment you go against 3+ people, you’re basically screwed, especially if it’s a mix of melee and range with conditions. But again, it’s really a trade off that depends on the player’s playstyle.
Personally, if I were running with his traits, I’d go with a sword and warhorn as my second set of weapons instead of a rifle. The mobility of the sword’s Savage Leap and the swiftness from the warhorn is amazing in WvW. Warhorn also cures Immobilizes, Chills, and Cripples which are essentially the biggest weaknesses of the first build. Call to Arms is just an amazing added benefit since you’re a melee user. The Endurance Regeneration and the Weakness applied to the enemy from Warhorn 5 is godly with this Axe & Shield build.
The first build is definitely viable. In WvW, condition removal is less of a problem than in sPvP. That said, it’s usually always nice to have condition removals, but if you can kill the enemy before the enemy gets you, then the condition removal from Mending is usually more than enough.
I also run an A&S + Rifle build: http://tinyurl.com/bfsquys
I have not considered the synergy of Opportunist in Arms & Leg Specialist in Tactics and that’s actually really great. That is a really great source of Fury for the Axe & Shield. I’m gonna’ edit my build a bit to include this as well.
Overall, it’s a really strong build. But like many high dps builds for warriors, it’s lacking condition removals.
[Edit]
This is my new build: http://tinyurl.com/aj7chcu
I’m gonna’ test it out and stuff. It looks pretty solid so it shouldn’t be too bad!

Can I please get advice how to prevent myself from having this happen again.
I believe everyone wants to know the answer to that. I guess a lot of people have had this happen to them too. We’d love to have at least a guideline of some sort to prevent this from happening to us. Thank you!
Seriously, my girlfriend got banned again for “engaging in gold or item sales with real life money”. All we’ve ever done is trade gold back and forth to each other to help each other get better gear and kitten. Are we gonna’ keep getting banned for doing something like this?
Why go down the Defense line?
What if instead of the Defense line get the 1sec immobilize and Shout CD reduction in Tactics and then used On My Mark+Rifle 5 for an instant x15 Vulnerability?
That would also lower the CD on your Shake It Off! CD.
The Determined Revival and Fast Healer in the Tactics trait line are pretty useless in solo roaming in WvW in my opinion, whereas every trait in the Defense trait line are more useful to me. My shouts have a relatively low cooldown already and Lung Capacity only takes 5 seconds off the shouts’ cooldown so it’s not too big of a difference.
PvP or WvW?
Can’t make a proper assessment unless you clarify
This build is mainly for WvW.
For sPvP, I just change the Rifle to a main-hand Mace or an off-hand Mace depending on the situation and what classes I’m against. I also switch out [VII] to either [IV] or [V] in the Arms trait line.
Roaming or Zerging? Because if it’s Roaming; rifle is pretty obsolete
It is mainly for roaming.
I use the rifle for enemies that try to run away as well as enemies that are charging in with my Kill Shot and my Volley. I use Superior Sigil of Bloodlust on my shield which greatly increases my power, which in turn increases my rifle’s Kill Shot and Volley damage.
If I see an enemy from far away, I’ll harass them with my rifle until the fight gets close enough for my axe and shield to come into play.
The rifle makes them bleed which gives me 10% additional damage from Arms 25. Volley + 25 stacks of Bloodlust deals a ton of damage as well. Very helpful for incoming as well as fleeing enemies.
Sword would be better.
Sword is better, but rifle is pretty good for certain situation if the enemy trying to escape.
Rifle’s Kill Shot with 25 stacks of Bloodlust deals around 12-15k to decently armored enemies. Volley deals around 9-10k as well. Rifle is insane with this build. Although I see why a sword would be preferred. Sword’s mobility is incredibly useful for roaming in WvW. It’s auto attack bleed is great as well for giving an extra 10% damage.

Paremsan Stick’s Axe & Shield + Rifle PvP Build
Gear:
Knights – Head, Chest, Leg, Ring
Berserkers – Weapons, Shoulder, Hand, Foot, Amulet, Earrings
Soldiers – Back
Accessories – Full Berserkers Jewels
(armor runes and weapon sigils are in the skill calculator)
Stats:
Unbuffed and w/o food
Critical Damage: 55
My Warrior
Parmesan Stick’s Level 80 Warrior
What do you guys think?
[Edit]
For my Axe’s sigil, I sometimes use Superior Sigil of Earth instead (10% damage).
For WvW, I tend to use Discipline [III] to move around the map until I find enemies.
For my Discipline traits, I sometimes switch [VI] with [I] depending on the situation.

Gear:

the axe is the only corrupted that glows while sheathed, probably a bug like the AC bows. Though I’d prefer if the corrupted all behaved like the axe
Let’s hope they make it that way!
If you take a look at this screenshot, the Corrupted Skeggox (Axe) glows even when it is sheathed but the Corrupted Cudgel (Mace) doesn’t. They’re both Corrupted weapons but only one of them glows while sheathed. Is this a bug or will it always be like this?
You can go with 20-25-25-0-0 build for your traits (GS). For gear, what you have should be fine, but you can always try the “optimized” mix of Berserkers & Knights.
Armor:
Head, Chest, Legs – Knights
Shoulders, Hands, Feet – Berserkers
Accessories (All Berserkers Jewelry Upgrades):
Back – Soldier
Rings – Knights
Earrings – Berserkers
Weapon:
One handed weapon – Berserkers
Two handed weapon – Knights
Definitely a Hammer build.
If you’re adamant on using melee weapons, you can try Mace & Shield, Axe & Shield, or Axe & Mace as your secondary weapons.
As for WvW, since your build will be a bit on the tanky side, although you can cause chaos and reek havoc against enemy zergs your damage will not be enough against non-Glass Cannons, so just make sure that you have team mates to back up your CCs.
[Edit] Also, the best part about the Warrior is that you can be BOTH the Knight AND the Ironbreaker at the same time. I’d suggest going Hammer as your main weapon, and an Axe & Shield as your secondary weapon. The Axe is a great DPS weapon that works really well with the Shield. As for the Hammer… Well, I’ll let you see that for yourself.
Because the Warrior has one of the highest base health pool in the game, you can afford to just focus on Toughness for your gear. The best gear for that would definitely be the KNIGHTS set (Power, Precision, Toughness). You can go full Knights if you want and watch you deal a TON of damage while at the same time being really tanky from all your armor.
Just to show you what Warriors are capable of:
I have….
3.3k attack damage
48% critical chance
44% critical damage
3k armor
21k health
TL;DR Hammer + Knights = You.
(edited by Oreoginal.1580)
And what would be the best second set of weapons for this burst build?
Thank you!
Axe/Shield or Axe/Mace is better imo.
GS + Rifle 25-25-0-0-20 Full Zerk Build
This is Glass Cannon btw.
It is definitely not the Warrior class. This guy’s timings are insane.
There, I edited it.
I’m actually trying out replacing GS with Sword and Warhorn for the additional Weakness from the horn and the Mobility and Bleed from the Sword (good for Arms-25).
If you have Attack of Opportunity (Arms – 25), you can go for Superior Sigil of Earth. 58% base crit is so much already. With food, you can easily hit 60+. SoR & FGJ gives you 20% crit rate as well.
What you need to focus on now is damage:
Superior Sigil of Bloodlust is a must. This can be in a separate set of weapons because you don’t need to have it equipped to benefit from the stacks.
Superior Sigil of Strength is a must as well, I would say. Stacking your might up would give you insane amount of damage, especially with the amount of your crit damage.
Superior Sigil of Force if you just want extra base damage.
You focus on Mace damage when you have a.. GS? You’re going to lose out on DPS regardless if you trait for the Mace mastery or not, just putting it out there.
Also a “PvP build” without Frenzy and/or Balanced stance is going to end up failing. Nothing else to it really.
I’ve been wanting to put those two in for a while now, but it would make Soldier Runes pretty useless if I don’t use shouts in my build. I’m thinking of switching to Dolyak Runes and running Bull Charge, Frenzy, and Endure Pain.
As for the GS, it’s amazing for mobility (3 and 5) and chasing down enemies (3, 4, and 5). With the Mace & Shield’s multiple stuns, it’d be really, really easy to land HB (2), especially for those people who run stun break skills. I don’t want to be a walking rock without able to do any damage at all… so I specced into it.
I’ve been absolutely successful in WvW so far, as well as very consistent with my player kills in sPvP so I’d say this is a fairly viable build! Obviously, anyone can tweak this into their own personal builds but I’m just contributing what I’ve learned with this build and just throwing it out there.
Bump! I edited the Defense traits from V & IX to VI & VII for maximum Mace damage.

[Edit] Title is supposed to be “GS/M&S – sPvP & WvW Build”.
Oreoginal.1580 (Parmesan Stick)’s Mace & Shield and Greatsword Build!
After many tedious tweaking and adjustments, multiple trial and error, as well as numerous testings, I have finally perfected the Greatsword and Mace & Shield build for PvP (note that this is not the best build for dungeons and is purely designed for PvP).
Armor:
Knights – Helm, Chest, Legs, Rings
Berserkers – Shoulders, Gloves, Boots, Amulet, Earrings
Runes – Superior Runes of the Soldier/Dolyak
Weapons:
Berserkers GS with Superior Sigil of Air/Fire/Earth
Berserkers Mace & Berserkers Shield with Superior Sigils of Earth and Accuracy
Stats:
Greatsword:
Power: 2116
Precision: 1848
Toughness: 1677
Vitality: 1095
Attack: 3216
Critical Chance: 48%
Critical Damage: 44%
Armor: 2888
Health: 20162
Mace & Shield:
Power: 2121
Precision: 1848
Toughness: 1817
Vitality: 1095
Attack: 3080
Critical Chance: 48% (+5% from SSoA)
Critical Damage: 45%
Armor: 3039
Health: 20162
(edited by Oreoginal.1580)
The Critical Chance increase doesn’t show up in my stats. Is it still included but not shown or is it just not included at all?
main-hand sword shows superiority compared to mace.
You wouldn’t want to pass up on leg specialist trait in tactics, either.
It is also quite funny that people forget about foods(you do, for example).
Omnomberry ghost healing compared to adrenal regeneration(with 50% critical chance) is around 3-4 times greater(on average, extra 210 heal on crit and ALSO 210 extra damage on crit)
then another 100+ of free stats from wrench buff(master oil, sharpening stone)
Signet of healing passive heal is much smaller compared to heal from adrenaline surge, too. you can do the math. 208*30 is how much healing you get during healing surge cooldown. much less than 8440 HP healing surge gives, and it is also important to remember that combat does not last as long, you can use surge instantly and signet will tick away with only small part of it’s usefulness. Compared to mending I also find it superior because of already decent amount of condition removal.
You have very nice stat set-up, but if I had to say that you lack something.
There is only 1 thing. You do not have enough critical chance to support monstrous amount of critical damage.
And there is a funny enough solution to it – buy superior sigil of perception to stack it on separate weapon(to then replace it to your normal weapons), use omnomberry pies/ghosts, use master maintenance oil. You will notice a huge bonus to your DPS and survivability(from ghost’s stealing) by using those. And you do not lose anything. At all.
I don’t really use the Mace & Shield as my main weapon though. It’s just there to set up GS attacks. With the Mace & Shield, I have 3 stuns and 2 blocks already. Add to that the knockdown I get from Bull Charge and I can easily chain stun enemies into eating my HB!
I already deleted it! I’m sorry for being a noob.
@Rayya.2591
How do you have 83% Critical Damage?
I do have a Longbow and a Rifle in my bag for certain situations! I just like using melee so much and being tanky at the same time!
@AlBundy.7851
I changed my shield’s sigil to Superior Sigil of Impact (10% damage to stunned or knocked downed foes)! I’m gonna’ be using that until I can afford the Superior Sigil of Battle.
(edited by Oreoginal.1580)
It’s mobility is really useful though. But let’s see… What would you suggest is a good weapon combination then?
Knights – Helm, Chest, Legs, Rings
Berserkers – Shoulders, Gloves, Boots, Amulet, Earrings
Armor: Superior Runes of Soldier
Weapons:
Berserkers GS x2 (Fire & Earth)
Berserkers Rifle (Ice)
Berserkers Longbow (Ice)
Valkyrie Hammer (Fire)
Traits: 25-25-0-0-20
I’m just curious as to which weapons are best suited for WvW. I can get any other weapons as well (I have a ton of CoF Carvings) so I’m open to every suggestion!
The reason why I’m asking is because GS + Rifle is getting a bit too boring, and I actually wanna’ learn how to play properly (no cheeses like Bull Charge + Frenzy + HB or spam Kill Shot). I wanna’ keep my GS because I recently got a Destroyer skin for it and I absolutely love it! I’m just curious as to what would compliment that weapon more in WvW!
Thanks in advanced!
Berserker’s Rifle – Superior Sigil of Bloodlust
Berserker’s Armor – Superior Runes of the Scholar
Berserker’s Accessories – Exquisite Ruby Jewels
Utilities – HS | FGJ | SOM | SOF/Frenzy/up to you | SOR
Traits (10-30-0-0-30):
Strength – V
Arms – III | V | VII
Discipline – V | VI | XI
Just land your Kill Shots (should be fairly easy if you use Frenzy)!
(edited by Oreoginal.1580)
Because you get bonus 10% damage to Bleeding foes (25 pts in Arms). Add a Superior Sigil of Earth to your GS and put 25/30 points in Arms.
Well, I’ve had success in my WvW build with Rune of the Earth (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_the_Earth). While the protection sounds negligible due to the long cooldown it really helps in terms of surviving that initial burst that you seem to see a lot of the time in WvW (With the added benefit that my traited warhorn converts vulnerability into more protection) while the magnetic aura really helps to deal with the larger amount of projectiles thrown around in WvW than in PvP in those clutch moments, especially while running away. In fact, when you get some distance, there’s not much that can be thrown at you that isn’t a projectile to finish you off.
Regarding runes of divinity… Nah, I don’t think it would be that great. They sound good on paper and they are kind of good, but they kind of make you into a “jack of all trades, master of none”, as well as give you stats that (considering you don’t use the shouts build) you have absolutely zilch reason to use. They’re also extremely expensive for some reason.
I honestly can’t tell you what rune you actually want to go for because I play a slightly more tanky build than you seem to, but it probably wants to be some kind of hybrid HP/DPS rune so you can benefit your burst as well as not melt to someone looking at you funny. Given how low your health will be even with the rune I think the 6th dolyak rune will be wasted, because you’re not fighting a fight of attrition here, it’s more of a bursty build.
Other runes to consider:
Rune of ice (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_the_Ice) I really love my sigil of hydromancy, and this seems similar.
Rune of the Soldier (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_the_Warrior) -1 second seems negligible in light of Fast Hands being fixed, but if that stacks with fast hands (never tried) it could make you extremely versatile in small skirmishes (and you get both damage and health from the stats)
Rune of the Dolyak with a vitality rune instead of 6th: dolyak rune heals 30 HP a second, 25 vitality gives 250 hp, essentially meaning that if the fight goes for longer than 9 seconds then you’ve wasted a rune slot. Again, you’re running what seems to be a more bursty build, but I’m not sure if it’s over that fast or not.
For the Rune of Divinity, I was only planning on putting it on that 6th slot instead of the Dolyak (Health Regen). I wasn’t planning on going full RoD. I would’ve went with the Soldier Runes but I honestly don’t like Shout build. :T
I hear the actual regen amount is extremely insignificant. I’ve never used it, that’s all I can give you. Also, are we talking PvE, PvP, or WvW?
WvW
And what can I replace it with? I like the added Toughness though. It’s just the Set Effect 6 that I am unsure about. I was thinking of either a Divinity Rune or a rune with +25 Vitality as its first set effect. What do you think?
(edited by Oreoginal.1580)
1. Is it good for a Warrior?
2. Is that 6th set effect (increased health regeneration) worth it?
3. If not, what should I use as my 6th rune?
I have a mix of Berserkers & Knights Set:
Knights – Helm, Chest, Legs, Rings
Berserkers – Shoulders, Gloves, Boots, Amulet, Earrings
Soldiers – Back
All accessories have Berserker Jewels.
Weapons: Berserker GS (Fire) & Rifle (Ice)
Traits: 25-25-0-0-20
I don’t use shouts on my build (HS, BC, Frenzy, EP, SoR).
TL;DR: What are the best runes for me?
[Edit]
I also have a Valkyrie Hammer (Ruby Orbs) and Berserker Long Bow (Air/Lightning).
(edited by Oreoginal.1580)
@Kyma Grey.9410
I have not considered using Superior Sigil of Ice on my Rifle. I switched it just now. Thank you for that! I decided to ditch Healing Surge and went with Mending instead for Condition Removal. The only reason I went with Stomp is I feel like it’s the most effective way of dealing with stealthed Thieves, and it’s also great for when I’m surrounded. It was either that or “Fear Me!”. I also decided to put 20 points into Strength as well but went with V and IX instead for the extra 10% from GS.
@Veritas.6071
I changed my GS sigil to Superior Sigil of Earth! I also dropped 10 points from Discipline and shifted it into Strength for that extra GS damage like you said! I don’t like defensive utilities as much. I’d prefer with more offensive utilities that can help me dish out more damage. In the end, I just went with the cookie cutter Bull Charge, Frenzy, and Endure Pain.
I have 2 sets:
Knight Set with Dolyak Runes
Berserker Set with Ruby Orbs
The Knight Set is pretty tanky but doesn’t quite have as much punch as the Berserker Set. The Berserker Set does a ton of damage but is also kind of squishy.
Here’s what I was wondering:
I also have:
I have 10 Transmutation Stones and am wondering what’s the best possible combination I can make with these gear? I am looking to dish out as much damage as possible without sacrificing too much tankiness.
My Gear:
Ruby Orbs:
Berserker Rifle
Valkyrie Greatsword
Berserker Armor Set
Exquisite Ruby Jewel:
Soldier Spineguard
Berserker Accessory Set
My Stats:
Greatsword:
Power – 2156
Precision – 1868
Toughness – 930
Vitality – 1058
Attack – 3256
Critical Chance – 49%
Critical Damage – 104
Armor – 2141
Health – 19792
Rifle:
Power – 2156

Toughness – 930
Vitality – 930
Attack – 3361
Critical Chance – 55%
Critical Damage – 104
Armor – 2141
Health – 18512
It’s done me well so far but there’s always room for improvement. I was wondering what I can do or change to make my build any better. I’m looking for a roamer build that can handle around 1-2 enemies (hence the multiple disables). What do you guys think?
It’s realy not the best by any means.
It’s the best for price/performance ratio. If you’re under a budget, it’s worth getting Orbs instead of the cheaper runes.
It’s a lot better than most runes out there AND it’s only 7 silver 16 copper in the Trading Post at the moment.
6/6 on armor:
120 Power
84 Precision
12% Critical Damage
You can put it on your weapons as well, furthering stacking up your power, precision, and critical damage. It’s certainly a lot better than most sigils out there that are 10x its price.
There are also many other Orbs out there on sale for only around 2 silver, each with different stats. For their prices, they’re incredibly worth it.
TL;DR Tight budget = Orbs.
A LOT of people have the same problem as you right now, including me (my gf to be exact). The only problem is that this also includes actual gold buyers and gold sellers. And of-course those gold buyers and gold sellers will plead nonstop claiming that they haven’t done any gold buying/selling. The only way for Arena Net to distinguish the liars from the bunch is by checking each claim one at a time. It’s those kittening gold buyers/sellers that are causing all this problem. I am also incredibly irritated at this since it’s such a huge inconvenience for something that wasn’t even our fault, but no amount of QQing in the forums will help (sadly). The best thing to do right now is to get your friend to send a ticket and hope he gets his account back.
Have you tried reinstalling? Maybe some of your files got corrupted.
Alright, she sent a ticket.
Also, the location wasn’t authorized (she checked under “My Account => Security” so I guess at least hopefully none of her items were lost (spent a good amount of cash on that). I don’t even know how she got banned when everything we did were absolutely legitimate.
