Monthly Reset = Upset

I’m from GMT +2 zone (winter)/GMT +3 (summer), December came before the reset for me. If was living in central Russia or one of Minor Asia countries, I’d have to wait even longer, to early morning. What about Australia? They get their reset around noon on December 1st. But obviously american people are suffering the most here

About UTC – it’s exactly same with GMT (in practical use). The only difference is that GMT was measured with traditional clock and wasn’t be including the slightest astronomic changes, while UTC is measured with atomic clock and icludes many additional calculations. Difference between those 2 is unnoticeable, revolves around miliseconds. Tho GMT is said to be no longer correct, it’s still allowed for common usage (in almost every country), UTC matters only for scientistic and military organizations

After the Lost Shores update I’m doing usually daily, eventually trying to level alts a little, then leaving. My guild is nearly disbaned, everyone left soon after this update, the only remaining person is only interested in fractals. I wanted to farm some dungeons, since the rewards are greatly increased, but it’s dead feature of this game now. I never liked WvW, sPvP isn’t magnetic like MOBA games, open world became plain boring

DR left after bot invasion is killing my RPG hobby, crafting. I was collecting all materials since the game launch and it was enough for maxing only 5 disciplines so far. Guess for crafting I’ll go back to Loki, at least there’s nice gear customization

The game lore and universe… Except for few zones, I can’t really feel it. Sure, we got dynamic enviroment, tons of lore-related NPCs and events, but still, something’s missing here. Shiverpeak and Ascalon feel empty, Kryta is just too normal, Maguuma is polluted by sylvari plague, nothing purely asuran left, and asura are the only race with soul here
Dark jumping puzzles/dungeons are for children, they’re not as half creepy as open terrains in Diablo II or Darkeden (which are pretty old, 1997-2001), not talking about dungeons in both of those games. It’s not that we need some gore scenes to make it creepy, it’s about lights, dirty/old/rusty enviroment, some little accesories, specific ambients and noises. Graphic filter used in occupied areas (mostly in Orr) would be also nice for dark places

What I really dislike about this game is same music everywhere, all the time. Every other game I’ve played (either single or MMO) had specific tracks bound to places and events, it was creating unique climate for every location. It was motivating me to come back to some low level zones, just to enjoy the soundtrack (tho I could easily extract it from the game files) and mostly enviroment as well. Here we’ve got possibility to create our own playlists, but for me it’s not working (tried few times), also it’s not bound to places but general situations. So, no matter what, I can’t even try to create a very custom soundtrack

Too much Healing?

I have 1281 healing power, making ticks of ~660 with elixir gun and something around 300 with any regeneration. Rune of water in my pistol is healing for 518 (I don’t like this number :<). I removed almost all condition damage, leaving only rampager pistols and +300 from traits. I’m blinding and crippling whatever I can, keeping permapoison and/or permaweakness when needed. The only problem might be people escaping from my heals, no matter how I’m aiming, it’s landing next to them because they suddenly decide to run away/dodge when I’m trying to catch everyone in my range. Most of people are better at dodging heals/boons than their enemies -.-

Flamethrower is capped at 3 targets

That’s even worse than I thought, it always seemed like I’m hitting at least 4 enemies

What it needs to do is a lot more damage up close.

Yes, like Blowtorch. We don’t really need the range increase, as it’s our melee weapon. If the range would be increased to 450 (to match the animation), the damage multipliers would be applied every 150 units

Time for a history lesson:

  • Personal flamethrower (backpack construction from ‘30s, the most similar to engi weapon) is said to be effective at the range of 20-30 meters. However it’s how far the fuel can be thrown. Fuel was always instantly burnt, making the real range of less than 10 meters. Sure target ignition could happen from around 4-6 meters, as this weapon has pretty large fuel spread, mind movement during combat and weather effects. This is pretty much like Flame Jet, our engineer got just infinite fuel
  • Stationary flamethrowers could reach a target at the range of max 100 meters, wind was always drastically lowering effectiveness
  • In ’70s backpack flamethrowers were dominated by rocket flamethrowers, using a rocket filled with napalm. This way flame could be spread only in target area, no fuel was wasted, effective range grown to 600 meters. Flame Turret toolbelt skill (Throw Napalm) works pretty much this way, tho engineer is not using a special launcher

You’re not always hated/discrimined because of lore, sometimes it’s just appearance. There are huge differences in appearance of every race, asura and charr differ the most from so common humans and minorities tend to be hated. Of course lore explains those differences and states how every race is treating eachother, but it’s up to players how they will treat people on their way. Mind that just a tiny part of playerbase is roleplaying. Some people are doing so, but not according to GW universe, rather playing other games’/movies’ situations

My boyfriend is calling me little kitten (a term for dark-skinned children) or little gypsy rogue, tho my skin is really pale. Guess he can’t see that because I’m tiny and he’s a huge ugly charr. Also everyone (non-rp players mostly) is rofling at huge ears (mine are the tiniest possible kind) and lack of boobies (body of 5-yo)
What can I do? Tell them they’re:

  • Stinky verminous charrs with twisted fangs, they don’t even know how real kitties look like. Many of them hate cats in real life, kitten hypocrites
  • Dull-faced common humans, they got no imagination and must play themselves, meaningless ant-like creatures. That’s what we’re coming to fantasy games for?
  • Square-shaped norns, they’re so huge that they’re covering my whole FoV, do they really want everyone to watch their huge kitten
  • Narrow-minded plants with anime voices, they’re just little soldiers meant to fight dragons, but almost every player thinks they’re so cool and so new (every of those players declares himself to be sensitive and like sylvari’s colorful zones, sounds like fa… kittenry to me)

The matter is that asura is a whole new race in the fantasy genre. We had hobbits and dwarves, which were very humanoid. We had gnomes and goblins, which were considered as some really low beings, due to their secrecy and awful appearance. Also both of those kinds were using classic technology, maintained the traditional craftsmanship. If it wasn’t be enough, their culture was usually poorly developed, humans and elves were considered as more (if not the most) civilized by default

Let’s look at fantasy and sci-fi hybrid games. Darkeden, Requiem: Bloodymare, Vampire: The Masquerade. They’re all considered as horrors, moved away from fantasy genre, far away from the Guild Wars universe. Some elements of this hybrid genre, like technology and sophisticated races are brought to Guild Wars 2 as a playable feature, not just some random curiosities players were facing in original Guild Wars. That means the average player will face asura almost everywhere, at any time, not just in specific locations. It’s taking the comfort zone away, risk of facing those asuran strangers is just huge

Asura are also completely misunderstood race. Very few people were learning the game lore, the most of random players on my way will think that asuran technology is Star Wars-like stuff, some of them were even calling me Wanna-Be-Yoda. They got no idea about magic powering all this stuff, it’s not the real sci-fi
Small body is making the others treat asura like children, tho even tiny progenies have more advanced minds than average humans. It might be positive, when team is taking special care because you’re so tiny and harmless, or end completely bad, when everyone is ignoring us because we’re too tiny to notice/not worth attention, or when asuran girl is considered as loli surrounded by pedo-bearscharrs (check on HotW medium helmet)

All those reasons are making asura something unwanted for a huge part of playerbase. This race will always be insulted for being something new, something different. We’re breaking the canon of classic fantasy creatures and magic, it’s out of the safety zone of modifications. Humankind was always afraid of novelty. Noone wants to admit it, but one of the worst nightmares is a race superior to our human race (yes, it’s a common opinion that we’re superior beings in this universe). That’s why in real life many fear aliens and in GW2 some fear asura. And the best way (known to us) to negate fear is sneer. Fear of the asura might be wrong term in many cases, asura are actually a known race (not as mysterious as the unseen aliens), living among the common races. So the fact of laughing at little known is left. What can we do about it? Nothing, no way to force others to educate themselves. We can just counter-laugh at them and be satisfied knowing how little they do know

Flamethrower has actually pretty high range, it needs to hit more enemies, like pistols with piercing shots. I’ve never seen damage indicators on more than 5 targets at the same time. I’d even trade its range for enemy counter, let’s say range of 350 and up to 8 enemies

I like the building design, something unique among all those rough buildings around Tyria. I’m pretty sensitive for symetry and regular shapes

Scientist with modern technology > skilled traditional craftsman. Unique feature again, the only race which keeps progressing

Asura are tiny, I like to be tiny. It seems like I’m doing everything faster, generally being more dynamic. I can sneak everywhere, pass without drawing attention. Also small body is somehow manifestation of strong mind

I like them being so plainspoken, as in RL I’m not respecting common etiquette of kind lies. I always liked races/factions which were telling the painful truth, treating everyone how they deserve to be treated, not like the etiquette is telling to do

Don’t forget about asuran force fields, virtually indestructible barriers which you gotta hack mostly. Asuran buildings would requiere really heavy artillery and constant fire for a pretty long time to fall

Many of experimental weapons are really dangerous, yet prototypes are made for small scale tests. Normally only inquest is not afraid to try new weapons on other races, but in case of war many krewes would be desperate enough to use their inventions for building defenses

Remember the ultimate power suit from Air Drop, one of Orr missions? Infinite teleport dealing heavy damage, power shield, rapid firing… The one we were using was still pretty new, still in testing phase. However I believe it’s possible to create much more of them in case of war. Asura wouldn’t be harmless in direct combat anymore

Engineer with 20 stacks of might deals same damage as warrior with barely 3-4. So, what happens if warrior gets 20 stacks from banners and shouts?

Me, engi with full rampager armor/cleric trinkets/rampager dual pistols, piercing shots trait + toughness→power trait
Warrior with full knight armor/berserker trinkets/berserker rifle, no special traits

We both have no boons. I’m dealing 2x less damage (including bleeding and double dmg from explosion) than this warrior
Add might to this, warrior would deal 3x more damage than me

Your dps from conditions is not that great, might will always give 4x more raw damage than burning damage, not talking about other conditions. And engineer raw damage scaling is poor with every weapon except for grenades

We’ve got general servers problems. My PC can handle this game on pretty high settings with FPS of average 30-45 with some actions around (and it’s fine for me, I’m not pro-gamer who can’t do anything with less than 70). During this event FPS dropped to 7 (when I’m moving around and new area is rendered), max 12-13 (standing still, no new monsters spawning, no more people coming)

In dungeons I’m having up to 5-6 seconds lag, tho my ping is average 85-95, with maximum spikes around 160-170. I’m seeing the game like paused (but with free camera) for few seconds then insane skill-spam and people/mobs teleporting around me (everything goes smoothy then), and it’s all because of my crappy PC?
I wouldn’t complain about event itself, just the whole game became barely playable because of constant lags. Normal activities in open world and even instanced dungeons, everything might get frozen at any time and bring you undeserved death

1)Nothing innovative, I’ve seen many shores in other games (from range of 2003-2006) and they were looking same or even better

Everyone around got either precursor or exotic weapon with unique skin (like Ruinmaker pistol) +2 other exotics, while I got 2x rare (gave me 1 ecto with black lion kits) and crappy exotic shoes + exotic cleric necklace (same with crafted, empty upgrade slot). They should do rollback on those rewards and send us tokens, like for finishing personal story. Then put a vendor with precursors, so we can claim any of them. Token account bound, weapon soulbound, same rules as for dungeons. The only thing which should be untouched is the karka chest, same bag and trinket for everyone was really nice

Evasive way of combat is thief domain. If you want to create asura warrior, then you’ve got to think rather about his gear, not pure skills
I’d like to use examples from Fallout games to explain some stuff in here:

  • Power armor – providing bonus strenght, yet slightly lowering agility. Looking at warrior moves (especially with hammer) it fits pretty much. Also cultural armor looks like powered by some magical energies
  • Super Sledge – requieres less strenght than normal sledgehammer, deals more damage thanks to kinetic energy storage device. Mystic/inquest and glyphic hammers and greatswords look pretty much like energetic weapons. Just rename device to whatever you like
  • Stimulants (optional) – buffout was pretty popular among sportsmen. Steroid pills increasing strenght, agility and endurance. Ofc it had negative effects, like general weakness later on. Also pretty addictive. As for advanced asuran technology you might remove addiction factor and get rid of unwanted effects. Smells kinda like engineer, but well…

It’s not only costly in terms of gold, it also has some kind of DR or is getting silently nerfed (without any updates). I’ve put 3x blue karma trinket (lv 30) and got 10 tokens. Then 3x blue karma trinket (lv 45) and got only 9. Then tried lv 30 one again and got 6 or 7

Something new, must be after one of 2 previous tiny updates:
Bleeding (#2) and freezing (#4) grenade have same visual explosion effect as flashbangs (#3), the difference is now very slight, barely noticeable. No idea if it’s intended or not, but it look really kitten and confusing now

Why not elite kit with same mechanics as conjured elementalist weapons? 25 uses of any skill from this kit and then bye-bye, wait for cooldown passing. Ofc cooldown starting when you’re equipping this kit, not when you’re stowing it

As for gadget, I’d like to see something granting stability, but without randomness factor

I’d like my weapon kits to share design with Ruinmakers, pistols I’m using. Ruinmaker design is unique to pistols only, but many of rifles and pistols share the same theme. I believe it is really possible to create kit design for every single weapon skin, even including unique rifle and pistol skins. I think when we’re using unique skin, for the money we’ve spent on weapon, we also deserve our very special kit skin. I’d even pay up to 400-500 gems to unlock ability to use kit skins and another 200-250 gems for racial turrets (mentions in many other threads)

It’s only about major traits. When I’m going with engineer, I’m using trait V giving me 5% vitality to condition damage. But during alpha fights I’m changing it to II, giving 20% cooldown reduction on elixirs. Then I’m stowing my flamethrower and landmines to take 2 elixirs: 1st one gives 3 sec invulnerability (cooldown 60->48 sec), 2nd one refills my energy (cooldown 45->36 sec) and can revive downed players. Elixirs are not something I would prefer, but they’re simply the best choice at this stage. Lifesaver when I’m trapped in crystal, endurance when alpha spams AoE too much and I need to dodge more than usually. Changing 2 skills and 3 major traits (in this case only 1 is really important) takes few seconds before and after the fight, it’s not a big effort

Why I’m stowing 2 skills I really like:

  • Landmines are not really useful during alpha fight, he’s not following certain players, so noone can force him to step on mines
  • Flamethrower would be even useful if wasn’t be bugged, so far when I’m trying to destroy crystals/tentacles it’s missing the most of time

I know your minions are normally useful, but this is the special kind of encounter which is making them useless. Every single skill in this game is somehow situational. Sure, many of skills will work well in almost every encounter, but don’t get almost always mistaken with always

What kind of Weapon is a Flamethrower classed as?

Weapon master achievements are progressing when you’re dealing killing blows with any of normal weapon skills, either main hand or off-hand. Killing blow with grenade kit/bomb kit/flamethrower/elixir gun/toolkit/utility skill will never raise any of those achievements, as all of those skills aren’t tagged as rifle/pistol/shield skills

Same rules for every other class. Necromancer in his F1 form (don’t remember the name) will never score weapon kills. Mesmer detonating illusions, necro minions killing enemies, norn transformed into sacred animal and so on, and so on…

When I’m using IA first and then Poison Dart Volley, only 1 shot is applying burn
When I’m usin PDV first and right after it IA, 3 out of 4 shots left are applying burn for full duration mentioned in tooltip

Me and my boyfriend have picked different sets of runes providing summons. I took Golemancer and he took Pirate. I’m finding Golemancer runes as pretty weak. Let’s compare those two and another dungeon set, Noble (CM) which is still considered as very strong:

Summoning way:

  • Golemancer – 5% chance while being hit
  • Pirate – 5% chance while attacking or being hit
  • Noble – 5% chance while being hit, unlimited amount of summoned dogs at the same time

Cooldown:

  • Golemancer – 90 seconds
  • Pirate – 60 seconds
  • Noble – a short cooldown was applied 2-3 weeks ago, not sure about exact numbers

Duration:

  • Golemancer – 55 seconds
  • Pirate – from what I’ve seen until the parrot suffers lethal damage
  • Noble – for what I know summons are still lasting until taking lethal damage

Summons damage:

  • Golemancer – around 2×700 without crits on punches, didn’t notice how much per spin
  • Pirate – around 1000 per hit, attacks a little faster than golem
  • Noble – I don’t know

Additional features and stats:

  • Golemancer – 50 precision (I’m finding it very little) and 10% crit damage
  • Pirate – 50% magic find (it’s really much), short cooldown AoE might, +20% might duration
  • Noble – 50% magic find (same as above), 50 power

General notes:

  • Golemancer – golem is summoned for like 40% of total combat, even if I’m tanking, what happens pretty often. Crit chance gain is barely noticeable, crit damage is doing fine
  • Pirate – parrot is summoned almost all the time, even if dies, will quickly (in max 10-15 sec) appear again. Might pops pretty often; magic find is making wonders, green items dropping like 10 times per dungeon run, yellow 1-3 times

I’d suggest 3 different sets of changes for golemancer rune:

  1. Increase total precision to 90, leave golem as it is
  2. Leave this amount of precision, lower the cooldown to 60 seconds and make golem last for 60 seconds as well
  3. Leave this amount of precision and cooldown, make golem last forever/until taking lethal damage

If everyone will keep puting cheaper offers all the time, sooner or later rare/exotic items will become too cheap for the effort requiered to drop/craft them. For now some exotics with unique appearance have reasonable prices which should be kept fairly stable, it’s almost like with legendaries or cultural/dungeon skins, prices of those are never changing. But we can’t do anything about dynamic prices, as it’s huge free market. So if your listing fails because of inflation/deflation, you should always get a chance to fix your offer for a decent price

As for materials, there should always be a minimum price, but not 1C above vendor, it should be 1C above vendor after counting fees in

About crafting: noone said it has to be profitable, but also noone said it should requiere you to lose so much money on leveling it. Materials should be freely traded, as it’s something really common

Because trading post is shared among all servers from specific continent. Prices are changing pretty quickly and sometimes it happens that after 2-3 days we need to put whole new listings. For consumables and common materials it’s not a big deal, but when you’re trying to sell some rare/exotic items or rare materials you’re losing pretty much money. Ofc we can sit in LA and spam the chat with WTS offers, but it makes no sense, map chat should remain a party finder tool

As for sales fee it’s not really good when trading post is such money sink. We have enough money sinks in this game, crafters actually got to buy some additional materials from master craftsmen, rare/exotic items are not really common drops, even with magic find set/nourishment

During the early stages of game I’ve bought 2 pistols for 5G each, now I can see them for 3-3,5G each. If you’d put listing for 3,5G, you’d have to pay 17,5S for just a try. What if there are some people ready to lower general price to 3G (just for quick money) and you’d never sell this item? You’ve got to pay so much for stupidity of the others? I don’t think so

Listing fee should never be that high. Max 2% of your item price with a minimum of 1C. Sales fee should be higher, but along with listing fee should never be higher than 10% of price. I’ve never seen any game taking more than 10% of price as total fee, usually it’s like 5%, tho the lowest I’ve seen was 2%

It hurts when T6 mats are never dropping from lv 84 mobs in Orr, it’s just like slap in face. Now pre-botting drop rate needs to be restored, so crafters can farm again. I’m having serious problems with making exotic jewelry, not enough crystalline dust to make orichalcum from mithril, almost impossible to drop it anywhere

Firearms trait IV – increased pistol/rifle/harpoon gun/elixir gun range
It’s not working with elixir gun, only updated the tooltip, while elixir gun has still way lower range than ranger with 1200 on auto-attacks. Tested this with such ranger, I’ve been standing in the same spot and later 1-2 steps before him, couldn’t shoot his target

Lately I started watching and comparing my damage output to other classes and I’m really disappointed about engineer. Having 1700-1800 power/1780 precision/700 condition dmg/10% crit dmg and dealing like 30-40% of warriors’ damage… About AoE, I can never kill any trash faster than in 4-5 seconds, while other classes can kill such stuff in like 1-2 seconds (without glasscannon builds), not talking about their bigger AoE spells (not that just frontal arc)… I don’t want to use grenades, I’m not enjoying their mechanics, everyone is using them, also I hate whole explosives trait line. If there is melee/mid-range frontal AoE (like flamethrower/elixir gun) then it needs to be stronger than ranged circles of grenades, just because of the risk we’re taking by going melee. This class needs some serious balancing changes. Everything about damage scaling, not boosting the base damage of weapons and kits
How scaling looks like for 1 stack of might at lv 80:

  • Flamethrower #1 is getting 10 raw DPS and 4.5 burn DPS
  • Pistol #1 is getting 4 raw DPS and 1.5 bleeding DPS (if the tooltip about cast time is correct)
  • Grenades #1 is getting 24 raw DPS (untraited)
    Something is really wrong here

All my knowledge comes from my friends who were creating private game servers and emulators. I’ve been also an amateur game modder, both FPS and RPG

The patch was like 25-30 MB heavy, I don’t think those were preparations for upcoming event. Usually such size can contain few updates to database (text files only, they’re tiny), tooltips, UI, minor bug fixes, eventually some minor sounds and textures

Update of drop rate is update of the game server, which contains many of core game files we can never access. When something is changed about drops and we’re getting game client update, it means they’ve implemented whole new items to drop or returned some old items which were removed in previous updates/early development stages

If giant combo ring then it might be only Super Elixir coming from Elixir Gun. Radius of 240 units, white mist for 10 seconds. It’s light combo field, so same crap as guardian’s signs

Other ring-shaped fields come from the Bomb Kit and Grenade Kit, but they’re smaller and last for very few seconds. Those are fire, smoke and poison fields

There are also some extremely short fields which last for like 1 second, they’re coming from turrets and turret toolbelt skills. Usually only engineer can take full advantage of those, while teammates can use them only by accident, coz even perfect voice communication is not really helping in such case

How about mini-pets? 1 green and 1 rare from every dungeon. Reasonable prices ofc, like 500 tokens for green and 800-1000 for rare. For example in CoE green would be any of inquest golems, while rare – subject alpha

Skills are pretty nice, I think giving a skill after completing all paths (+story mode) would be fair enough. Same rules as for racial skills, disabled in PvP (should be in WvW as well), slightly weaker in comparition to typical class skills. I’d put them only in elite slot, preventing people from seting 3x dungeon skill in utility slots. Also they should be really elite, so casting them would be something really uncommon, spamming them like every 30-60 seconds is just wrong

Thank you developers for wonderful fixes…
There were many posts in forums with possible solutions to grenadiers’ problem, many of them were pretty accurate. If you really want to fix the problem of so called exploits (which is waiting or kiting to prevent spawn), then find out why people are even trying to pass the content
One question which is bothering me since I just started doing SE (before all ‘fixes’):
Why those grenadiers are more durable and difficult than golden/purple bosses? Something is really wrong here. It looks like grenadiers are the main boss here and all golden/purple mobs are just trash mobs on our way

You’re speaking of people who actually tried dungeons, but didn’t like them. But there are still many players who didn’t even try it

I’m doing monthly WvW part, tho I hate it, just because it’s always the only thing I need for monthly, despite of my normal activities. It was never a real reason to complain, as I’ve got a whole month to score those 50 kills. If I can get my kitten in borderlands from time to time, I believe players like you are able to do those ridiculous 5 dungeon runs over whole month

Well what they don’t seem to get is we don’t do that content, because we don’t want to do that content.

Majority would even like to try out dungeons, but they’re afraid, as they mostly heard it’s pretty competetive content or they got no friends/guildies who would like to guide them. Since the monthly reset I’ve done some dungeons with parties full of first timers. Some of them were hopeless, yet the most is able to learn and adapt. They were even finding the rewards pretty cool, as they were having some extra silver and tokens, sometimes crafting materials, sometimes rare gear (bro tip: give peach tarts to every virgin). For a part of players this monthly is for sure just a casual adventure with dungeons, depending on their teammates, it might be even a nice experience

They requiere us to do only 5 dungeon runs (I’ve expected 20 at least), might be even the same path 5 times in a row. It’s not a big deal, just 5 runs, for sure way faster than salvages. They did that to encourage more people to try out the dungeons. There were more requests for story modes lately, what means that dungeons are slowly gaining popularity. So the next step was making them a monthly goal, so people will more likely do explorable modes

About WvW:
I hate this bullkitten, zerging which makes completely no sense. And if you’re that unlucky that you’re matched against overpopulated server, you can’t even get many kills from those zergs. Usually it takes me up to 2 days of doing WvW to fill this achievement. Not talking about financial matter. In 5 dungeon runs (from easy SE to hard CoE) I’m usually having 20-25 silver profit (counting repairs and loot in) + gear tokens. In WvW I’m ending up with barely few badges (hard to grab them in zerg) and like 10 silver from events, yet losing like 30 silver on repairs. I’d like normal PvP kills more, at least PvP is way more fair

I used to play healers in every other game, even in hack’n’slashes and usually I’ve been one of the best healers around. I was running with trait/talent spec for pure healer and hybrid gear, so I could deal damage. From what I’ve seen, every single person playing healer can’t spam heals quickly enough, also they’re having problems to manage rapid target switches. Add to this fail timed AoE and emergency heals, and inability to use attacks between heals – you’re getting pretty frustating party. Many times I tried to play any hybrid class, but noobish healers were pissing me too much, watching them being so slow and ineffective, dealing no dmg, it was taking all joy away from the game

In GW2 I’m usually getting pissed as well. I’m playing hybrid engineer, daling some decent dmg and having healing power high enough to heal for 50-60% of my health. I can manage to survive the most of encounters, using all my healing skills whenever it’s possible/needed. But watching the others is just… They’re going below 50% health and never using heals, doing it when they’re nearly dead, tho their heals can only restore up to 30% of their total health. I’m roaming in the middle of battlefield, trying to catch everyone in my tiny AoE heals, but I can heal for 5-10% only, also people are often dodging heals much better than attacks. They’re going out of super elixir area, even if there is no danger in this specific zone. They’re ignoring bandages. They’re blocking potential water fields casting other fields exactly where I’m standing. All those things are making playing healer so hopeless… Many players can’t be really responsible for their own survivability and no matter how hard I’m trying, I can never make up for them

I just did SE, my party finished it few minutes after daily reset. Most of people (including me) got 30 tokens, while one person got 60. Noone did any dungeon run for a pretty long time before going to SE

I’d change first 3 abilities:

  1. Drop Bandages – 2.5 seconds cooldown (applied after casting; gives 1 pack every 3 seconds), healing same as now. Amount of currently dropped packs capped at 12, newer packs cancel older packs
  2. Drop First Aid Pack – 12 seconds cooldown. Healing 10-20% lower than Bandage Self, amount of currently dropped packs capped at 3
  3. Drop Antidote – just moved to this slot
  4. Drop Stimulant – just moved to this slot
  5. Drop Painkiller – 20 seconds cooldown. Protection for 5 seconds, same rules as for Stimulant

As for healing packs cap, it should never count Supply Crate packs. Engineer should receive inner counter for amount of packs dropped via Medkit, it could even appear in our UI, like meditation stacks. It would help both engineer and party members, as they could check on healing potential
