The Explosives Grandmaster Minor trait, Steel-Packed Powder, causes all explosives to cause Vulnerability.

Firearms V – Precise Sights
Every single grenade hit applies vulnerability, even if it’s non-critical. It’s like 6 stacks per second in melee range, easily goes to max of 25
It does replace weapons (visuals and skillbar), but gains weapon stats and sigils, it’s some kind of compensation for not so good kit scaling
It’s not a bug with [lack of] thoughness stacking. Traits are working with weapon (kit) you’re currently wielding, not the one you’re having equipped in hero panel. Shield trait is working whenever shield skills are on your skillbar. Flamethrower counts for a different weapon because it’s replacing weapon skills, just like all enviromental weapons
Both traits are scaled according to current zone level, at lv 80 they’re both giving amount of toughness stated in trait tooltip
All about PvE
- Enemies
They’re pig disgusting, have really strong control skills. Zombies are much more painful than regular ones. Also this condition spam, from all inquest, krait, undead… - Utility skills
Instead of being inaccessible they should better get an underwater version - Traits
It should be possible to have a set of land and underwater major traits, so we don’t have to switch them manually upon changing enviroment - Targeting system
It’s pretty much broken in this game, but we can deal with it in 2D enviroment. In 3D depths it becomes even more difficult to keep attacking proper targets - Groundcast
3D enviroment is just ruining our precision in skill placement. And all this double-tapping and kitten…

-#1 skill – Changed so you have to remain still while attacking and you would sweep the jet from side to side. This would come with a Dmg increase to make up for loss of movement.
The worst idea ever. The only thing making flamethrower so useful is dealing constant damage while moving around a bunch of enemies. Even old juggernaut wasn’t be rooting, just crippling. The only rooting weapon is now mortar, but it has huge range and damage in comparition to flamethrower
What needs some fixes imo:
1 (Flame Jet) is nearly melee and can have max 3 targets, no reward for risk of going melee. 5 targets and/or damage depending on distance (same as blowtorch)
2 (Flame blast) works like normal rifle/pistol shots but is slow as hell – easy to miss. Ground targeting needed
5 (Smoke Vent) should be a short smoke field
Not sure how much karma spent (including karma flasks refunds), but I’ve bought like 25-30 boxes, got 6 obsidian shards, miniature and pretty much money from this trash. BTW, my lucky onion did that
Heya all pro healers. If in classic trinity MMOs you were only healing/buffing and never dealing damage, then you simply suck
Even classic healers always had some damaging spells, both single target cc and AoE, ofc dealing minor to average damage. So, if your character has such spells, then you’re supposed to take advantage of those, aren’t you?
Now look at GW2 classes. No dedicated healer, healing/buffing spells are minority. We’ve got many kinds of soft and hard cc, some classes are good at spamming it. Your squishy mesmer/elem is in trouble? Don’t heal him, simply blind, stun or knock monsters back and give him a sec to escape and use his own heal. In this game supporting is cooperating in survival, even someone specialized in DPSing might be a lifesaver

There were some codes for town clothes impossible to obtain in game. They were universal among all races and genders. Then devs changed it and split between races. After splitting clothes were appearing correctly, as pirate outfit. For now I don’t know any way to get character completely naked
Give Zrii new shoulder armor (preferably Whispers one) – win
Skipping culture is getting worse and worse. If someone can spare 30-40 seconds on a single encounter, he will want to do so, ignoring potential rewards and event completition for daily. There are many groups of very trash mobs (with no silver frame) which are easy to kill and often giving some nice rewards, like crafting mats. Many skippers don’t even know about it, because they never tried to kill anything in dungeons. I’ve met people who farmed over 5000 tokens from a single dungeon and completely didn’t know what are potential drops and how to beat the most of monsters. That’s why I no longer trust LFG site

Devs will never admit, but they don’t want us to get free Black Lion Keys because BL Chests are dropping some wintersday goodies now. It would be like giving us free wintersday chests. So they will bring this NPC back right after wintersday period
When I’m facing hackers in WvW I’m reporting them for botting, as there’s no option to report for hacking. But I’m careful with that, and reporting people only after watching them for few minutes. Latest exaple is an elementalist. He was using few different spells at the same time and moving/teleporting at abnormal speed. He was entering mist form more often than it’s possible with traits and attacking in this form. Also along with a bunch of other people he could rapidly travel whole map, return to northern part of map from southern keep in like 1 minute. Clearly something was really wrong, and those weren’t be lag problems for sure, reporting was the best option

I’m having some serious problems with chinese hackers. Few login attempts in few days, it’s just a matter of time till they will get my e-mail password and I don’t have any smartphone or other mobile device to safely change passwords. I’m not completely sure if my PC is free of keyloggers and other spyware, latest scans are proving it’s clean
As few people before, I’m requesting possibility to ban specific countries from all login attempts. It’s nothing racist/offensive, it’s just possibility to exclude several IP groups from access to my account. Something completely private, not affecting the gameplay by any means

Armor mods could be changed into critical projectile reflection with cooldown of 25-30s. Single projectile reflected, no matter if someone is using volleys and chain shots

The matter is that for dynamic fights we’re using regeneration and Healing Turret water fields (if you’re quick enough). Super Elixir is perfect stationary heal, that’s why it stacks with regeneration. There are many bosses or tougher monsters which are nearly immobile, so melee fighters are forced to move around tiny space. That’s why centering Super Elixir on such monster is keeping additional regen on melee fighters, who are also tanks. Dodging is not a problem, it’s not moving fighters far away from healing field (if it does at all), also it’s possible to dodge only 2 times over Super Elixir duration
In WvW it’s a skill meant to provide sustain during the siege. Gate breaking or defense, doesn’t matter. We’re puting it for melee fighters, siege machinery operators, gate repairing people. Noone is moving away from healing field. Healing during movement is only regeneration again, that’s what we’re paying for mobility
We don’t need Super Elixir to be mobile or put healing buff, it’s like Time Warp would give full duration quickness for just crossing the bubble or Well of Blood would apply full healing instantly. Super Elixir needs just improved healing, buffing some numbers here (especially healing power scaling). But general mechanics are fine
I like Super Elixir for its duration. I can throw it at melee fighters, field is huge enough to let them keep moving/dodging inside of it. Then I’ve got some time to deal damage and put some cc around. Same in WvW, if during the siege group of players is under constant attack (arrow carts, longbow #5) I can keep area of constant healing in addition to regeneration boon
I would never trade current Super Elixir mechanics for Geyser, even if Geyser is a water field. Why?

Geyser is winning here, tho it’s situational. Sometimes constant condition removal is really important and engi can’t afford keeping whole team in tight cone of Fumigate, especially with miss-miss-miss-… issue
- Radius of 120/180 vs 240
Much easier to heal and maintain healing with bigger AoE. Also easier to land initial spike heal on moving targets
- Duration of 2s vs 10s
Super Elixir better by all means, it’s stacking with regeneration and providing constant sustain. Also field duration matters, short field can’t be utilized by more than 2-3 finishers, even voice communication is not helping this much
Bells should be a whole new combo finisher for asuran Radiation Field (party lights). I’m grinding gifts to get sound effects and make complex party hard

It should be like Pietoro said, devs are able to split skills into PvP and PvE versions and that’s the only valid balancing option
In PvP base heal slightly higher than now, after fix or decent healing power scaling. This way engineer could throw some nice healing if traited (kit refinement) or geared for healing, obviously sacrificing some offensive stats
In PvE we’re not fighting few players like in PvP, we’re facing waves of strong dungeon monsters or huge zergs in WvW. That’s why they should leave either bugged version, or modify it to provide a bit less base healing, but scale well with healing power. PvE will always be based on much bigger numbers than PvP, at least in terms of damage, so healing should also be improved (not only by means of WvW % buff)
Swiftness + rune of speed are giving max 40% bonus movement speed
Swiftness, skills, traits and signet passives don’t stack, only strongest bonus is applied
Engineer’s Slick Shoes toolbelt doubles movement speed in relation to basic combat movement speed. Regardless of current boons/traits and combat status, it’s always providing same speed as basic swiftness out of combat
I went to CoE, became officially useless dungeon class… My super elixir healing dropped by 400, even healing power doesn’t make difference. Trading offensive stats from gear for 1k healing power is raising super elixir ticks by 110 (yay…) and not even lowering my damage this much (bad scalings, 2x yay…)
Over 500 hours played on this engi, tho I’ve never been one of grenadiers, this patch still hurts pretty much
Devs, you said elementalist is the king of versatility, that’s why you’re giving them an option to deal really high damage. On the other hand you’re telling that engineer is paying for versatility with his low-to-medium damage and now also crappy healing. It’s just what the…
If my super elixir is not gonna heal for 660 anymore, then give it nice scaling on healing power, so my 1281 healing power will make it heal for at least 600
I’m not using damage gear in dungeons anymore, as scaling is poor on everything and even sigils procing on weapons are not gonna change it. So make healing gear worth anything
With 300 in firearms and full rampager gear + golemancer runes (+50 precision ~2.4% crit chance) I can have 68% crit chance + 10% from sigils, it was stated on reddit that passive sigils are stacking. Some full precision runes and proper back slot upgrade would raise total chance to 82-85% (I’m too lazy to count xD)
I also have +300 toughness and +100 vitality from traits. Using artisan maintenance oil made by huntsman is giving me 70 precision and raising crit chance to 81%
I didn’t test higher grade oils, but if description is fake and they’re giving precision, then I’d have 114-115 bonus precision, getting 83-84% crit in total
The best chef nourishments are giving max 100 precision, that would make 82-83% chance
This legendary is crappy itself. I’d expect some burning/exploding bullets after its appearance. Bullets like those: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracer_ammunition
Current effects would fit peacemaker rifle (asura cultural T3), not old-styled charr rifle. Also this rifle is clearly dedicated to charr enigneers
Another problem – this rifle is scoped and engineer is firing rifles like he didn’t have any idea about firearms. It should be warrior’s way of combat, not engineer’s. Warriors are using many different weapons and guns should be completely unfamiliar to them. Engineers can only use firearms and it seems like they’re not skilled even with that
Every boon counts, no matter what’s its source. Boon duration will also affect this might, allowing you to maintain 6-7 stacks instead of 5-6

Not exactly, however unused ideas are often pretty much about the dungeon lore. What comes to my mind is CoE. Order of Whispers agent is pointing that path 3 is the way we’ve got to the point we were escaping from. But what for we were even going there? It’s only said to stop inquest foolness, but noone knows what exactly happend there. I’m sure designers were talking about it at some stage. We’ve got only 1 official feature of this kind, unnamed fractal with raving asura. This is result of foolish brainstorm, it’s not even fail, it’s something funny. Fits the game lore much enough and brings some references, like old Tom from cartoon, crazy rave parties…
I know you’d like to see something purely based on the game lore, however I’m finding it boring. Easter-eggs in some special places are much more appreciate, they’re funny and more interesting. As in every RPG, let’s leave the lore for basic content and put something extraordinary in bonus content. This is the magnet of bonus content. Not rewards it’s giving, just the content itself
I’d like to try the new path 2, but I’m afraid to do it with random people, because final golem bosses are always fully focusing me. Means I’m dead – whole team is dead soon. Path 1 seems too random to me, I always hated random bugs. If I would go to try it, then not with SE virgins

The good thing about this dungeon is armor, it reminds me of Mad Max and Fallout, wastelander outfit, no idea how you didn’t notice any similarities. Guess I’ll make an asura elementalist just to get the light armor set (cool helmet and shoulders), but first wanna make CoF-peacemaker hybrid pistol for my engineer, then eventually farm SE
Weapons are crappy, they don’t even have the special red glow effect. I’d prefer dregde weapons over those glyphic toys, especially that we’ve already got inquest armory at CoE vendor
Dungeon is not really ugly, industrial climate is nice, some might not like it, as it’s far different than charr technology. For me it gives nice variety, how long can I watch aztec sci-fi asuran enviroment or plain boring medieval human areas. Sure, I could go to any dredge mine, but dungeon is still more interesting
After doing a check: the fight is still same, except for the very beginning and minor burns. Boss starts attacking person at cannon placed far away from entrance (let’s say cannon #3), then goes on first person attacking after the shield fades. So cannoneers are fully safe. The only thing which changed are those tiny fireballs, they’re putting some real burn now, so fighters have to use heals regardless of successful fire tooth kiting. Still easy, just boring
Bonus mode would be nice if it cointains results of designers’ brainstorm, some unused ideas, more pop-culture references, randomly triggering easter-eggs and jokes. In every RPG I’m seeking such stuff, I’d like to see more of it in GW2 dungeons, just like in specific locations in classic RPGs, which are mostly some caves/dungeons
Gonna try this today. Usually I’m taking fully traited engineer mortar while a ranger is attacking and kiting his fire fangs, so mortar is safe
Health of this boss is still ridiculous. Skill #5 of mortar is hitting for 5x 1500-1600 and health bar doesn’t decrease even by single pixel
Some other MMOs have special scripts detecting abnormal activities of every character. Movement speed higher than any buff would provide, attack speed above the maximum cap, cooldowns reduction/removal, teleports… When such script is activated, suspected account is getting disconnected and receives temporary ban (1-3 days). When script is activated again, permaban comes instantly
Devs should consider working on such detector, I know it’s possible, as there was auto-ban based on swear filter. It would for sure spare a lot of time of every GM assigned to work on botting issue
I’ve tried to log-in to the game many times, every time I’m opening the launcher it says:
- Downloading 0KB …
- Connection error(s) detected …
No matter if I’m leaving the launcher open for few minutes or restarting it after every error, it doesn’t want to connect. It took me at least 10 minutes to finally connect. Those must be update server problems, as this game is not letting us try to log-in before an update check
OP, you must have been an awful healer in classic MMOs. You couldn’t manage healing more people than just tank? Too bad. As classic healer I could always play with my party’s health bars and throw buffs/shields randomly, not to those who need, it’s all about quickness
Yesterday I’ve been farming low level zones and there was noone around. Today I came to farm a bit and all low level maps are full, mostly sword/shield guardians and scepter/fire elementalists around. About elems I’d say this class became somehow trendy, as is too squishy and slow to be good at farming. But guardians are suspicious, with their sustain abilities…
They’re begging us to kill them. My favourite is female asura with this enthusiastic it begins!, such happiness for getting a chance to die
It’s reminding me of ghosts from Jade Empire. They were so mad for getting stuck in physical world that they were ready to force fights with mortals, to either kill them (teach them how it feels to suffer so much) or get dissipated and rest for a while
Do dungeons and buy major runes, throw them into mystic forge. This is pure gamble, but it’s also for free. A guildie got Divinity rune from MF, sold for around 4,5-5G (it was kinda long time ago)
