Spammable static field is quite hilarious.

If you play WvW ’correctly’, that is building/buying/upgrading siege, upgrading towers, and escorting yaks, you will take in about 25 silver an hour and spend 1.5 gold. That is a 1.25 gold lose per hour.

Assuming an average dedicated WvW player plays 2 hours a day and 4 hours on his day off, at 72 hours a month with a 1.25 gold loss per hour, you’re looking at 90 gold per month or $50 worth of gems.

Playing WvW ’correctly’ comes with a $50/month subscription fee, that’s why nobody does it.

I remember a time when the Devs thought highly of their players.

I’d say this is most accurate. You can max your character out through a variety of different avenues. Obviously no game can claim to let you do everything any way you want. I mean, what if I want to hit 80 by killing ambients? Should I be kitten Anet didn’t make this possible? Should I scream “BUT YOU SAID I CAN LEVEL ANYWAY I WANT!”? Nope.

You joke about it but you could level to 80 killing nothing but ambients. It may take 50 years but you would get there.

You lower tier guys don’t understand just how good you have it

A vast majority of the players on T1 servers are bandwagoning fairweathers. They only come out to play when they’re winning and ride in the coattails of the stronger guilds. They run sub-optimal builds and are often the first to die/rally the enemy. They spam map chat with complaints everytime they die yet refuse to use voice chat as a means of communication.

Is this really the kind of player you want to transfer to your server?

Try guesting to Jade Quarry if you’re into PvE or Anvil Rock if you’re into sPvP.

Should be able to find people to play with right away.

Heaven forbid someone enjoy WvW instead of treat it like a second job.

I think he’s referring to the fact that there’s likely no legitimate way he could target that location without some sort of game modification.

Auto attack will target the nearest hostile including enemy siege. All the ele has to do is walk up to wall and press 1, he will get a target.

The entire meta-chain was created for a section of the playerbase that doesn’t exist.

If somebody is going to take the time to form a party then they are going to do a dungeon or a fractal, nobody does open world content in a group.

Why wait for a guild to challenge you. You should go and look for fellow travelers.

However, I do recommend that if you guys go and do GVG to control your spectators. This is a gentleman’s game outside of the normal WVW thing where opponents can be civil and hopefully be friends. Who knows, might play together in the same server in the future or something outside of the game.

If you walk into WvW you’re fair game. No kittens given about your GvGs or duels. If you want to hold hands, go PvE.

SoS Oceanic still a force to be reckoned with. I was shocked to see how well organized you were and how strong your fight was, stay classy.

In the grand scheme of WvW, theives are nearly worthless. They contribute far less to large group fights and sieges than any other class.

They only excel at scouting and killing yaks/sentries, but wouldn’t you rather have a ranger/ele that can also solo fully upgraded camps and kill elevated siege?

Class needs a massive overhaul for WvW.

I agree the game definitely needs more activities like this.

I place my bet on my moa, get up from the computer and vacuum/clean for 2 minutes, comeback to watch the end of the race and bet the next one.

Being productive in the real world and in game, win/win.

The game needs more visually upgradable items similar to the fractal capicator.

A weapon whose stats never change but goes from looking like a simple broadsword to looking like a sword of bad assery after completing a bunch of in game content. Make that content require 10 or 20 people if you wish. As long as the encounter is completable by every class/build I see no problem.

If anything the changes have made it more zergier.

SoR’s community really isn’t all that great, you don’t want to transfer here.

I hear the community’s on BG and TC are wonderful, those would be better options.

Sos deserves more respect than that, Tc deserves more respect than that, but most of all your allies from sor deserve better. Being part of a team means fighting through the good times and bad, they have your back and you have theirs. Guess that aint the case on Sor.

The components needed to make Lemongrass food are rare. No one is doing the 45-75 zones anymore so the cooking components from those zones are ridiculous.

There’s a difference between grinding and farming.

You killing the same set of creatures over and over is grinding, devs don’t like that.

Farming would be you killing those spiders 1 time then going and killing spiders somewhere else, devs are okay with that.

Good for TW, here’s to hoping they stay there.

If you look at EU, which is using the exact same system, you can see matchups with numerous surprising results. The same will likely be true by the end of the NA matchup.

Every match up in EU is being won by the higher ranked server, most of which are blowouts.

I always pictured Indo as Gordon Ramsay and Cel as Adele tbh.

If you can only field 2 BLs worth of players then just ignore the other 2. Sounds to me like there’s some great fights happening in EB and SoSBL. Now I know where to go when I get home….

I disagree. Score isn’t important, WvW is all about the (siegeless) fights.

I’ve fought JQ/BG guilds for so long that I can not only identify their characters by appearance but could also tell you their builds. I want to fight new players, new tactics, new builds, etc.

I think you’ll find that the higher tier opponents are respectable. If you only have 20 and want to fight 20 then request a GvG on the thread and I’m sure you’ll get many takers.

Tired of hearing these casual vs hardcore debates.

Casuals make up a majority of the player base, buy the fluff on the gem store, and pay for the bulk of new updates.

Hardcores push the content, force developers to make and develope new content, and are more proactive in identifying game issues.

A successful game needs both sets of players.
