[CDS] Caedas
Sanctum of Rall
Another overly annoying, too-many-mechanics dungeon. The kind you do once and never do again. Usually the hard content is enjoyable once but this wasn’t even enjoyable.
Not fun!
All of those are allowed. You can’t govern intent.....perhaps the player was just bad.
One of the main attractions of the MMO genre is the ability to play with other people on a massive level. sPvP relegates you to 5 or 8 people respectfully forcing large groups of players to sit out. Nobody wants to sit out.
Even if they were able to make an sPvP map capable of 15v15 play which they haven’t demonstrated the ability to do yet, it still would be no good. sPvP like traditional WvW is inherently boring. No one wants to sit on capture points or siege for large amounts of time.
TLDR: You can bring all your friends and it’s not boring.
On Mag we get on you if you’re in the wrong gear, not performing a specific roll, and being rally bait
You talk as if this is good behavior. I hope you guys end up in Gold League, I’d love to teach you some manners.

I’m gonna go full blown nerd and quote myself from back in July:
Dota 2 Invitational = 2,500,000
Guild Wars 2 Invitational = 10,000GW2 = The Special Olympics
Is it really that hard to give the players a mode in which they can just kill each other?
I’m tired of sitting on siege and/or capture points.
Cmon ANet guy, you’re doing it wrong.
You’re suppose to build a treb in the camp and fire it into the GvG. Dudes can’t even troll properly, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
They have this, its called sPvP
Nice to see some players do have some pride left. Looking forward to facing the winner.
There’s a lot of people in T1 that want/like to PvDoor.
I play on SoR, when we get paired against BG/JQ we usually only fill 2 maps during prime time. Meanwhile this past week all 4 maps were queued during prime time against FA/DB.
Blow for Dough
Three week epic tank-a-thon between SoS, DB and Mag to determine which server has to suffer in the Gold League.
Tier 1 is best during the off hours, prob like playing on a T3 during peak.
Ive heard tier ones servers can have Q times to get into wvwvw, and I kinda like running small groups and ganking, so was hoping to avoid huge zergs.
I want enough targets to keep me occupied but enough that im forced to zerg to be able to do anything.
The queues are bad during prime time but there’s no queue during off hours. Usually each T1 server has 1 giant zergball during off hours but that ball almost always stays in EB. If you play in one of the borderlands you will find a lot of small groups and roamers.

Shrug
Those oPP/Riot guys have been running small man gank squads since T2 9 months ago if you’re just taking notice now I’d imagine you’re a new transfer to T1.
Welcome to Tier 1, I hope you enjoy your stay. Chances are I will be killing you a lot over the course of the next few months. Please feel free to dedicate forum topics to me.
Generally the conversation goes like this:
Friend: "What have they added since I left in May?"
Me: "Well, nothing that you can do."
Friend: "What do you mean?"
Me: "Well, they added this, this, and this but they took it out of the game 2 weeks later. It’s part of their living story."
Friend: "Seriously?"
Me: "Yeah"
Friend: "That’s the stupidest kitten thing I’ve ever heard!"
Me: "Yeah, I know."
I would venture to say that the vast majority of players that transferred into T1 did so because they want to karma train and collect the rewards associated with winning.
IE They have no interest in playing WvW anyway.
It is pretty demoralizing when after the first day you realize that you have zero chance of winning and have six more days of enduring karma-train after karma-train while watching what little wvw population you have shrink before your eyes.
And here in lies the problem.
ANet only see numbers, it does not distinguish an avid WvW player from a PvE player. When the match is a blowout the WvW players stop playing but the PvErs come in to karma train, well the PvErs outnumber the WvWrs.
Truth be told, more people play in a blowout karma train match than play in a fair equally balanced match. Our devs see blowouts as a good thing.
Numbers are up.
For every person like you and I who would love a fair tier with fair fights, there are five people who won’t WvW unless they can karma train. Don’t expect ANet to caater to us we are the minority, the farma llamas are the majority.
Only problem with karma trains is that it makes the lopsided that much more lopsided as the pve crowd comes over in droves.
Cause that matters? the point is all offense, no defense generally on the last day. Unless you are very close pointwise, but then the point you brought up is moot. If you are on the losing side, you still get the same karma cause no one is defending those towers/keeps.
The problem is that Devon Carver looks at all the karma farmers flooding in and pats himself on the back for doing a great job. Concurrency numbers are up because there are far more people that would rather run around mindlessly karma farm than actually engage in fights.
I stay in Tier 1 because there are people there to fight.
I couldn’t care less about PPT, night capping, wvw ranks, or rewards. I’d actually prefer if those things went away because they continue to ruin my fights with imbalanced guard mastery lines, bloodlust buffs, and perplexity runes.
No incentive is going to get me to move away to play with less players, that would be completely opposing what I play WvW for.
If you ignore every piece of content in the game that forces you to interact with other players, it truly is a great game.
But once you step foot into a dungeon or WvW, yeah.....
I’m going to laugh like hell tomorrow when their big announcement is that they’re shutting your server down and moving you to T1.
Except you too could be a part of the rich by simply transferring to T1.
Instead you willfully choose to stay poor and come to the forums to complain about it. You are one of the many that abuse the welfare system of America.
Loyalty.....in a video game?
What a stupid concept, quit treating the game like real life. You’ll be a lot happier.
I like the idea but I’d also like the ability to eliminate some dungeons. Arah and SE P2 are simply too long for me to do otherwise it’s a great idea.
As a casual player, I am very pleased with the game at the moment. While I don’t particularly care for the Tequatl or Liadri fights (I’m bad), I do understand that there are players out there that do enjoy that type of content so I am happy to see them finally get some much deserved dev love. There are a lot of different factions of players in this game and ANet seems to be doing a good job of giving them all content to do.
PvE and sPvP seem to be in a very good place right now.
I should hope Wildstar is watching GW2, it’s made by the same kitten parent company.
That zone is the epitome of anti-fun.
High mob density, high mob hp, cripple, reflect, confusion, they couldn’t give me enough loot to go to that hellhole.
TC presently ticking at +0 vs JQ/BG
This is going places....
Sorry but 2 thumbs down for me. The technical problems should have been solved before release, as well as the event itself—it’s not fun for a number of people :-(
They should have opened a new area on the map, made a new dragon, called it for what it is—a guild type event that works with 100 people working together using their 100 slot teamspeak.
I have to agree with this.
I don’t like the encounter and will never do it in its current form. But I do understand that there are players like you (OP) that do like it so I’m glad they added it for you. I just wish they had placed the fight somewhere else and been a whole new dragon. I actually liked the old Tequatl.
Just to clarify, you don’t speak for all the players.
I didn’t much care for the gauntlet.
I reluctantly have to agree with Vayne.
You may not want to grind mindless content but there’s a very large part of this player base that does. Two weeks from now no one will be fighting Tequatl but there will still be over a hundred players at the Wurm.
I have one at 100% and a second at 98%.
However, the second requires WvW and I refuse to go in there until they eliminate grind-for-advantage.
And yet I see full maps all the time…….
Where? Tequatl?
There ain’t no full maps in T1 NA or T2 NA right now.
But in all seriousness this update was just the last straw. WvW has been in steady decline since the February patch which brought all the lag. Now its got more holes than swiss cheese.
Blame the players for being sheep, not the company for selling them grass.
There are players out there right now that have been sitting in Sparkfly for hours upon hours waiting to get into their main server to do Teq. Literally sitting there and doing nothing for hours so they can get a few achievement points. Those are the people you should be directing your anger at, not ArenaNet
I’m not a fan of difficult content.
Sometimes you want to get home from work, crack open a beer, and just auto attack to victory...
The reason you haven’t seen a lock on T1 is NA is a result of those servers bleeding players at an unsustainable rate. For every person that transfers into T1, 5 more quit playing, become PvE exclusive, or go elsewhere.
From the outside looking in, you see the scores are even so it looks like a great match up, it’s not. BG PvDoors for 8 hours, SoR PvDoors for 8 hours, and JQ PvDoors for 8 hours, ain’t nobody fight anyone anymore.
BG has MERC (oceanic) and every other guild on the server struggles with attendance and it’s not like MERC is perfect, they lost their guild leader at one point.
JQ has ATM (southeast asia) and every other guild on the server struggles with attendance. Again like MERC, they’re not perfect. They used to be FoO but there was some internal struggle, the guild split up, and reformed as ATM with far less people.
SoR doesn’t even have a flagship guild anymore. Their two strongest time zones were always EU and NA lead by IRON and TW respectfully, well the guild leaders and a large chunk of players from both guilds are either gone or inactive.
T1 NA is dying...rapidly. If you were to take Kaineng or Maguuma from 6 months ago and pair them against the current T1 NA servers, they would win.
Cmon dude, it’s great.
JQ ticks at almost +600 this morning because BG (#1 NA) has less than 30 people in total between all 4 maps. I’m sure they were all just sleeping this morning and it has nothing to do with the bloodlust buff.
As a member of server rank 11. I’m not looking forward to the entire season. A whole X number of week of getting our outmanned kitten kicked.
Sounds like a blast. GG
With all due respect, I’d much rather be the #11 than the #1 server in that match up.
You have people to kill on every map with a free repair bill, that’s really not that bad.
Meanwhile the people on BG/SoR are sitting on teamspeak drunk, singing Katy Perry songs, and farming the centaurs for bags because they have nothing else to do.
Again, self-entitlement is bad.
Ranger is, by far, the best solo camp flipping class in the game.
Clearly it’s an L2P issue. You wouldn’t bring a baseball bat to a gun fight, don’t bring a ranger to a zerg fight.

If you’re happy where you are and others are happy where they than there was no need to make this thread now was there?
self entitlement is a group of bandwagoners that pay to transfer to the winning server unbalance the game and overwhelm everyone who is loyal to their servers.
lol
Transferring to another server is being proactive. Those players didn’t like their current situation so they went and found a better situation. It’s called moving up in the world, its what every person in every walk of life should strive for.
You could transfer as well but you won’t because you’re not proactive. Instead of going out and finding a better situation for yourself, you’d rather force others into your bad situation. It’s selfish and greedy, nothing less.
Yes, let’s tear apart the communities of thousands of players so your server of fifty players can do better at WvW. Talk about a self-entitlement complex...
Thanks Obama!
Matchmaking system really hates SoR
Well, let me put it this way.
My guild has 31 active members that have been playing for a year, only 1 of us has had a precursor (zap) drop. So using that as a very, very rough estimate you’re looking at 30 years of play to get 1 random precursor. Now given that there are 20 precursors.....
It’s going to take you on average roughly 600 years of play to get Dusk to drop for you.
You may want to start now....
The fight requires more preparation and effort than I am willing to give to a video game. It may be different for you, only way to find out is to try it.
A little competitive angst isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It shows that people do care about succeeding and are putting a lot of effort in. Eventually the problems will work themselves out as people will get tired of failing and start working together.
