Obtaining rewards is the fun part.

I don’t think anyone enjoys killing Tequatl for 157th time or pressing ‘F’ on 100 dragon pinatas. If you do, god bless you! I need to be challenged to enjoy the content.

I don’t understand why people are talking about how not caring about the PPT is actually laudable, as if being flippant about the core mechanic of this game mode were the nobler pursuit of WvW. Isn’t this why you fight harder? Isn’t this why balance among the servers actually matters? If your server’s score isn’t up to par, just laugh it off and say you’ll do better next week. To say it doesn’t matter compared to some random pursuit is dishonest and discredits the entire community.

Maximizing PPT isn’t fun, upgrading towers, escorting yaks, building siege, scouting, all of these activities are not fun.

It’s one thing for you guys because you’re winning and winning is inherently fun but we’re not winning. To me it’s like throwing gold at a lost cause and since I don’t run in the zerg I’m not replenishing the funds I spend. I’m not having fun and my character is regressing.

God bless the elite guilds on SoR that are still out there fighting and sticking it out every day but I know I speak for a fair amount of players on the server who just don’t give a kitten anymore.

Please make these a different color other than yellow.

Realize that they probably have 3-4 fractals already made waiting to be released, all we are doing is choosing the names of the characters in those fractals. We’ll see both anyway.

If I wanted e-sports, I’d play a MOBA.

Someone needs to decide what WvW is first.

You have PvEers running aroung doing JPs and map completion, you have PvPers looking for fights and ignoring objectives, and you have people playing for points. Its like a 3 course meal was thrown in a blender and served as mush, nobody is happy with the current state of WvW....

If its a PvP zone then yes, repair costs need to go....along with the JPs and map completion.

I’m shocked so many of you are still enjoying WvW.

Do you not get the horrendous lag that I get when 2 zergs clash?

Its either massive zerg lag or your 5 man havoc gets wiped by 30+, I dont really find either of these to be fun.

I see green and red on that map, hardly ’solid blue’.

Then again, you are TW. You guys have always had a distorted sense of reality.

Complaining about eles is such a quarter 1 2013 issue.

I’d be happy to see nerfs for WvW if you restored our viability for sPvP and PvE.

WoW succeeded because it continued to add features and fix bugs. GW2 seems more interested in farming players pockets.

I guess it depends on your definition of ’dominant’.

A well played Thief is impossible to kill. He can escape from the fight, reset, and reengage if he is losing.

In a long sustained fight a Mesmer will almost always win but the class can be bursted by full glass builds.

Engy/Necro/Ranger/Guardian are well balanced. They have builds that can burst down Mesmers and builds that can force Thiefs to retreat.

Warrior and Ele are kitten , don’t play one of them.

You would think after 4 months people would get tired of complaining about the same stuff everyday.

No one likes your positive attitude Akaimon. You are clearly not elite enough to compete in Tier 1.

Take your excess badges and buy siege with them. Take your newly acquired siege and sell it on the trading post. Go to the trading post to collect your gold and buy whatever you want.

I have 2 lvl 80 characters in full ascended, an ele and a ranger. With the exception of zerging in WvW, the ranger is better at everything.

Anyone who complains about ranger DPS has never played an ele. Yes, ranger dps is incredibly low in comparison to the 3 melee classes but the ele auto attack doesn’t even hit for 300. The most damaging spell an ele has ’Fire Grab’ barely clears 1k damage unless you spec full glass at which point everything 1 shots you.

When it comes to dungeon videos, I’d prefer them to be as close to the real experience as possible so I’d prefer with mob skipping.

Or you could grow a thicker skin and not get upset because some guy gave his opinion.

Without ’those people’ you wouldn’t have ranks in WvW, spectator mode in sPvP or fractals.

Glad you’re enjoying the game, friend. I hope your stay is long and pleasant.

My one recommendation to you is to enjoy the game in pieces. Do a few hearts and vistas, try some crafting, pop into sPvP or do some JPs. When you focus on just one aspect of the game the experience tends to suffer a bit but if you’re constantly bouncing around, the game will stay fresh and fun. I’m at 1600 hours played and still enjoying every minute.

I’d buyout ArenaNet and Guild Wars 2.

I would move the sPvP team to WvW and scrap sPvP altogether. Nobody will ever be able to make an MMO into a successful e-sport, it’s just not going to happen. MOBAs are just better for that style of gamer.

I would tell the WvW team to focus on creating a map that favored small units over large zergs.

I would remove arrow carts from WvW.

I would not touch the PvE or specials events teams, I think they do an excellent job.

Well, that’s a start....

There is also another guild in question, whom someone from SoR has informed us that one of their commanders has duped 500 omega golem blueprints. (arenanet have since fixed the source of the exploit) It sounds absurd but it’s very hard to explain how 1 certain guild can build 3-10 omega golems every night. If you have ever commanded or been part of a very large WvW guild before, you will realise that doing this every night is unsustainable and costs an insane amount of alpha golems (1 gold or 100 wvw badges each for an alpha, or x 5 for the omega). It’s unaffordable yet they are building them in large numbers every night for the past few weeks as if they are disposable. Either this guild has won the lottery or the informant was telling the truth.

You can buy gems, convert to gold, and buy siege that way. Not everyone here is on limited funds….

In what world are Rangers good in PvE? I want to live there, because I really want to like Rangers, but Anet is determined to make it a non-existent class in this game. Their dps is substantially lower than every other class in the game. It’s even lower than an Engineer’s which is very low to begin with.

I’ll take my ranger’s single target DPS over my ele’s single target DPS any day.

It’s mob mentality. Ranger keeps getting nerfed every patch because when it’s played well at the top level it’s as good if not stronger than most of the other professions. The class, however, can be played very poorly much like a thief.

Fair play is fair play, for every player on SoR running zoom hack there’s a player on Bg and JQ also running it.

The difference is that we just deal with it while you complain about it, you know just like everything else in the match up.

err… if your having problems with Mesmers, its your own fault, We are easy to fight if you know what to do. If you think that torment bull kitten was a buff, I laugh at you, Its on one of our worst weapons, and on a block, which makes it unreliable. Ah LOL that sounds so familiar. Every patch is nerd d/d and buff staff for eles. Please I don’t want to play staff, it’s boring.

I’ve really noticed no differences in thieves or mesmers from last patch tbh. The only class I’ve noticed a large difference is necro which now obliterates me in 1v1.

Part of the reason I am playing less these days are the games inconviences. Having to clear long group event chains in order to access dungeons (CoF, CoE) and cool boss fights (Karka Queen) seems silly to me. I have limited playing time and would like to access the content that I want to do and not have to fight through tedious gates to get to my preferred content. That was suppose to be one of the features of this game.

I have a simple solution to this crisis. How about IRON transfers to BG? I’ll chip in 50 gold if it helps.

That being said, I see nothing wrong with the farmers in your 1st example. If they want to sit at the cache in Vexx’s lab and just kill pirates they have that right. They’re also doing you no harm by asking you not to complete the event. Now if you want to ignore them and do it anyway that’s fine but if them simply asking you to not do it offends you then that’s a ’you’ problem.

Everyone has a right to play the game the way they want, that includes farmers too.

I’ve been gaming for 15 years and I cant recall ever feeling as bored as I do when playing a staff ele.

Those camps require a group to take, at least the south eastern one does.

If I’m going to take the time to form a group, I am going to do a dungeon or fractal.

Wants you to play the game your way, punishes you for doing it

GW2 PvE is excellent the first time through but lacks replayability. Many players have completed all the zones as its a requirement to get a Legendary so leveling a 2nd character fails to give an unique experience causing many players to just craft level alts.

You can try the Operation Union thread on the Players Helping Players board if you’re looking for players to group with but you’re just not going to find that vibrant, active world you’re looking for anywhere.

You’re not going to find any other class in the game in which you only have to hit one key to be successful.
