Why? With downleveling in this game your actual level is almost meaningless. The only thing your level does is prevent you from moving forward, and since nothing is forcing you to move forward this argument is rather pointless.

Honestly why they don’t allow us to see target of target or our target’s cast bar in a game so heavily based around dodging and interrupting skills to stay alive is just baffling.
They want Guild Wars 2 to be an action based game and thus have people focus on the actual combat, not an UI castbar. That is what I read in an interview anyways.
Hard to focus on the action when the targets health bar is so friggin large, and gives so little info.
I think part of the problem is that few people spec for anything other than pure dps, since pure dps is the most efficient way to level. I would love to spec for better heals or better support, but not at the cost of kittening myself in solo play.
We need a dual spec or even tri spec system.
I played all the way to 80 with mostly defensive/support traits.
Would it have been faster and more efficient to use power/precision traits? I know that would be the case with my engi.
When you level up you need more points in a stat to maintain that level of power. At level 30 I had 49% crit, as soon as I hit 31 I had 48% crit. If we didn’t have a system like this we wouldn’t have upgrades in gear, the gear you start with would be just as strong as the gear you end with, and we’d be left with no feeling of progression or advancement.

Didn’t they say somewhere that gem to gold would be 30% less than gold to gem, so that way you couldn’t realistically buy gems, then sell them for more then what you first paid?
I’m not defending them, I telling you that threads like these are a waste of time and needlessly clutter the forums. If you want to waste your time staring a bot that isn’t staring back so be it, but don’t waste other peoples time.
Eh, only if they had a channel specifically for guild ads. /map gets a bit spammy with guild ads in the lower zones as it is.
No, they don’t need you repeating the same thing. They know it, and it appears they’ve decided they have better things to do, like fixing bugs, then to remove one spammer on one server, whose just going to be back in a couple hours with different name.
Just because YOU don’t like how they handle it doesn’t mean it’s not being handled.
Do you like being told repeatedly something you already know? They don’t need you or anyone else telling them every 5 minutes there’s a gold seller at “xyz”. Use the report button and move on.
/map is for that particular zone. I don’t believe there’s a global chat, but I haven’t played with it enough to say much more about it.
Spamming a forum is just as annoying to the general public as gold sellers.
Wish they’d make it so reporting someone for spamming also blocks them, it’s just a needless extra step to take.
That’s hopefully one of the things they’re working on, and has been suggested many times.

You should send them an application requesting to be a full time anti bot admin. I’m sure that would be a better use of your time, since it’s apparently so easy to do. If that spammer is there for 3 days straight that means I only haver to ignore him once. If they ban him they’ll just replace him with another, which means I’d have to report and ignore him again, and again, and again. They don’t keep the gold on those bots anyway since they know it’ll be banned eventually. Anet has plenty of better things to do then bothering to keep your chat log cleaned up.

From what I’ve seen on other game forums is that when devs post something, usually threads derail or the devs get misinterpreted. Just because we don’t see it doesn’t mean they aren’t looking at it.

And it would take about 10 minutes until people started abusing this to harass people.
And it would take another 10 minutes for them to take action against someone abusing the system.

Transforming into a plant wolf is great and all, but lacks any use. All I ask is they get a small speed boost and the ability to jump.
