Watching Anet this past year has been like watching the NY Giants the last half of every game this season…

Look, I know you don’t want to, but people are pugging raids anyway and it’s clouding the ever living crap out of LFG for open world content. I had over 45 people LFG’s in the open world content tab last night and half were people looking to raid. I know this is a quality of life change, but for the love of god please stop being stubborn about this. I’m going to have an aneurysm weeding through off of this stuff.

I knew you guys would kitten this up and make roaming already worse than it is. Why not just rename WvW to BlobvBlob already since you obviously aren’t doing a kitten thing about it ?

Cool, I’ve only been playing d/d for ~3 years. I might as well take the challenge of playing d/d with two functional trait lines and one kitten one. Dragonhunter even got it’s traits looked at and it isn’t borked as much as Tempest is, smh …

I’m aware of all of that. I should have clarified better. The roaming build woikd be for a second account with NO laurels since I used this accounts laurels to buy heavy crafting bags to feed my main account. I basically have no access to ascended anything unless I spend gold crafting, save laurels for a while or join a guild for comendations and fractals.

I’m outfitting an ele on an alt account for the occasional roaming but am having trouble min/maxing the gear without having access to ascended. I’m curious if anyone would be willing to lend a hand to help me achieve a d/d air/water/arcane build with respectable power/crit/ crit damage while still maintaining about 2500-2600 armor and 16k health. Pretty please?

Actually no. Auras don’t stack in duration, so the second aura simply overwrites the first. Alas.

This was my point of the initial post. I figured due kittens description it would double the aura duration for allies but that only seems to happen with Freeze Yourselves

Other than the fact overloading is useless and the whole tempest trait line needs an overhaul, shouts don’t work with Powerful Aura in the water line. This could have made tempest at least a LITTLE more appealing, but it only works with the frost shout. You made me a sad panda ANet -.-. Soooo sad.

114 (0.350) is the power coefficient for pistol #1. It does TERRIBLE direct damage. It’s fun, but it won’t work in pvp/wvw even with 25 stacks of might.

In light of this, I hope all engi’s start running this so I can eat them all for dinner.

If anyone bothered to read other threads they would see this isn’t anet’s cause. A of tnofnuse ran tracerts and pingplotter. It’s the route our ISPs tajebto their servers. Anet can’t control the route our ISP takes.

After sending 8 or so emails back and forth to GW2 Support team (although nothing but a VPN helped, you guys were great and responded quickly), I again contacted Verizon, I shared screens with them and ran the tracert to show them how the data packets once sent to from my PC -> ISP ->ISP ->“0.ae2.XT3.DFW9.ALTER.NET” -onward – are bounced around a few times until eventually continuing to the ncsoft servers. Verizon said they can’t control the current path the data is being trafficked and that particular server probably has a firewall or doesn’t accept those packets, so its bounced around some until there is a server that accepts the data and continues its networking route. This should explain the lag I get in game, but there was no solution offered on their end. I guess I can only hope the networking path changes sometime soon.

You will probably have to get them to put you in touch with one of their t3 technicians rather than their costumer support as they would be able to look more into the problem (the higher you go the better, Verizon’s costumer support often doesn’t know what to do besides telling you how to troubleshoot). Given alter.net belongs to Verizon there should be no reason for them not to be able to do something.

Around noon EST everything for me return to normal, no lag or skill delay of any sort(though trading post is loading slow or not at all). My route also goes through this alter.net and I am having no issues with it but I live in VA, with the storm up north something might have happen to the lines so packets might be getting lost all together. If VPN is working for you the is great (many on reddit have said VPN has not work for them) but keep checking the route since its not fun to pay more for internet.

I’m really hoping it’s due to all the storms because I’ll cancel Verizon in a hearbeat if it continues longer.

There are other threads on this topic, but mostly its Verizon users. I just got off the phone with support and shared screens with them while running a tracert. for me this path is working fine currently, sometimes it can spike on MS but nothing out there. However nsoft server for me is always reporting a 100% packet lost.

Most games I play take the alter.net server path but are currently not giving me any issues, but giving to the storms we been having I wouldn’t put it pass them to have some issues. As of now my only issue along the path is with a Nsoft server listed above.

At most I have 1.3-3% packet loss at Anets servers. My problem lies with Verizon’s current routing with their network traffic for this game. I’m going to blame the storms that have occurred as I never have lag issues. I assume there is nothing I can do. I’ve tried setting up a static IP, opened all ports again, anything I could think of really. Ashe has been contacting me through emails and asked for my pingplotter reports so I’ll keep you guys updated.

NJ Verizon customer here too with the same issues. Another friend in Maryland is also having these issues.

No announcements or acknowledgement of this issue at all. Why ? I mean I’m off from work, why would I want to enjoy my favorite game ?

I think I will go with pack for now. Last question, are people running it full zerker since you don’t have the sustain of a d/d ele to take advantage of the 2400-2600 armor?

I’m curious what runes people are using for s/f fresh air ele when roaming in WvW. I’m looking for suggestions before I buy traveler’s (since you lose all mobility other than lightning flash)

It’s fun, but I find regular CI or shatter to be more effective so far. Great for 1v1’s though. Now I’m going to do a few matches with greatsword instead of s/s and see how that fairs. I REALLY missed greatsword

I understand you came here for help, but these builds are 99% the same and it makes no difference which one you use. You at least could have picked utilities or something. You came in here and asking for opinions on a build with a stat variation of maybe 1-2% between them. This was just a waste of time, so that’s why you got a sarcastic answer.

Sigil of Paralyzation isn’t a good choice since it only works on the stun from Pistol and nothing else. It doesn’t apply to dazes (which you more of).

It isn’t a lack of knowledge. GWEN classes so what we do, just better and all while not sacrificing so much to get there. Get used to it.

Can we get some of the Carbine devs to work on Gw2? They seem to at least respond and listen to the community instead of listening to themselves talk between each other on the kittenter.

Small man roaming used to be fun. Now it makes me want to put my fist through my monitor unless I have the right comp to deal with this condition spamming bullkitten, most of which comes from just having a few condi classes auto attack you or lack telegraphs anywhere near that of a power build.

I loved outnumbered fights , but Anet decided to nerf critical damage and do nothing to really bring condition damage into balance, forcing these little kids who can’t see their big numbers to now switch to condi builds (lolol perplex condi thief with new confusion trait ty Anet). They ruined WvW even further and I’ve lost all faith that they have any resemblence of a kittening clue of what they are doing. IMO there is one thing they care about anymore, and that’s the gem store.

So thank you Anet, thank you for taking a game that had great combat mechanics and teamwork in WvW and turning it into a blobby karma train piece of kitten that is so dumb downed with condi builds that I can’t even roam happily. I hope the plethora of magic school kids you attracted by letting them kill me with condis while sitting in stealth (and regening, getting protection and ageis too lol) makes you a lot of profits in the gem stores when mommy lets them use her credit card.
