Just wanted to call some attention to this thread.

It is confusing for me to see this kind of mixed messaging. A ton of people agreed in that thread that there are too many moving parts in this game to balance it well enough. Now you guys are in here saying that removing jewels equates to dumbing the game down.

Can you guys do me a favor and try the game out after the features are in the game before assuming removing this is going to ruin everything?

I do not think that the spectator mode is for any use, beside costum arena’s.
Make it like GW1, so you can observe high end matches. Way more useful than observing some Hotjoin zerg.

if YOU get ranked with low ranks (and yours was the only higher rank) it is only your fault.
It means that you are a bad player, that you farmed rank points on skyhammer and that you deserve to be ranked with deers and rabbits.
The system is rating based, not rank based.

One of the ways we plan to change matchmaking, not the MMR system, is to match on more than just MMR. E.g. ranks, ladder tier, etc..

This should improve the quality of matches and should also make MMR more accurate.

Will you also do something against the afk/leave aspect? I lose most of my matches cause of this..

I disagree with that. I think many PvEers would want the greatsaw even at its current price. In my opinion it’s the best looking greatsword in the game and I’d rather have that and be unique than have twilight like half the players in the game. If only I could afford it…

If u are a PvEr, I guess it won’t be hard to make gold.. I made 1k gold in 1month, while i didn’t even play alot and im horrible at it.

Nowadays it’s ridiculously easy to make gold. You can do one meta event and in less then 5 min have a good chance to make 1g.

Anet has made many updates that changed loot from meta events, dungeons, & champions that make it so much easier to get gold.

I remember Ghastly shield when it was 60g. Considered investing in them but didn’t think people would pay a ton for it.

Then I remember checking again at 200g. Thought it was a lot for such an old skin and it would have been a risk considering Halloween 2013 was coming up. Passed.

Checked again last weekend and was surprised to see it rise to 1700. It’s getting awfully close to FSP prices.
