If i make my own playlists, will the ingame music be deleted?
Will removing the custom playlists make the launcher download the old music files again?
Yes please!
Make Gangnam Style play when my norn dances,
Thanks!
Haha, i did this quest yesterday aswell and you sum it up quiet well^^
I’m a “fan” of killing of important characters in story’s (A Game of Thrones) :P But this one just didnt make sense.
Necro needs allot of fixing from what i’ve read and seen of it.
Now if you want an exciting class that needs 100% attention while doinging anything, you should play Elementalist. Its propably the class with the highest skill cap.
It probably sounds crazy but I can’t help wondering if we really need to be fighting the dragons.
As far as I know no one has even tried a diplomatic approach with any of them and it seems to me at least some might be intelligent and rational enough to listen. Glint was one of their champions and she got on fine with the humans, dwarves, forgotten and possibly some other races.
Maybe I’m just biased. I love dragons and I’m always slightly dissapointed when they’re so often just big, scary monsters for the “good guys” to kill.
But I also feel like it’s a genuine mistake humanity has made many times in real life, and all the Tyrian races have made in the past – just because someone is attacking you, even trying to kill you, doesn’t mean your only option is to respond in kind. No one really gained anything by following up the Searing with the Foefire, but it looks like we’re rapidly gaining a lot from a diplomatic solution to the charr/human conflict and I can’t help wondering if it wouldn’t be worth at least trying the same with the dragons.
I wish dragons would be more similar to the Dragons in the Inheritance cycle ^^
Aha, I finally got my GM tag added, so this should up as an official post. Anyway, we’re currently looking at the issue, it’s definitely not intentional. Thanks!
Haha, though you where trolling with your first post :P
Great to hear you guy’s are going to fix this!
Hello everyone,
I’ve been wondering, why cant i replay my Personal Story missions? It seems to me something that would be “easy” to implement. Besides that i think there is an easy way to extend the End Game content: Story Hardmode!
In Guild Wars 1 once you completed missions you could do them again in Hardmode, this was basically the same mission with about double its difficulty. I think it should be easy to implement this into Guild Wars 2 aswell.
The way i would like see this implemented:
*Everyone should be able to replay all the story missions;
*When one hits level 80, gain access to story-hardmode;
*Hardmode scales with the amount of people in the party;
*Hardmode gives decent rewards (competitive with dungeons, both should stay viable);
If you agree that this should be implemented, please make a comment to keep the topic high up the board!
Thanks,
RaZaC
Sarcasm, trolling two things hard to separate now day’s.
I’m still not getting your point though…
“I do not support the inclusion of a harder difficulty than is already in the game, especially if it’s tied to an achievement. I would like to see GW2 remain the casual friendly game that it currently is.”
“I do not support the idea of making content that is hard for those who like it hard. I also do not support the idea of adding content to the game since it’ll make it less casual then the already fairly hard ‘complete all explorable paths on all dungeons’ achievements and ‘get a ton of legendaries’ achievement already do”.
Sorry, but your argument is fairly null.
Sorry but i dont think any casual player cares about ever completing the game? I mean i’m a hardcore player but i cant care about completing the entire game and i propably never will.
And how can you “not support the idea of adding content toa the game”? If you want to complete a game 100% quick and easy then your at the wrong adress with this MMORPG…
I do not support the inclusion of a harder difficulty than is already in the game, especially if it’s tied to an achievement. I would like to see GW2 remain the casual friendly game that it currently is.
I very much support being able to reply storymode missions, even for zero reward.
I cant see the point in this, you have normal mode and then there is Hardmode. If your a casual player you most likely dont care about titles and then you wont even care about the hardmode?
Repeatable story with HM and diminished returns like a dungeon so you can replay your story if you want without feeling like you’re doing nothing. Maybe even repeat the bonus for finishing the story 100% (only to 100% though – a few coins the rest of the way, influence + alpha siege for full story clear).
Indeed, rewards should stay in, but has to be save from exploits ofcourse. 100% Story finisher would be a nice acchievement for a title ^^. This would have to include
*100% all normal missions
*100% all HM missions
I would love to get a response from A-Net on this, i mean i understand they are bussy but this would be a great thing to implement in the future i think!
Thank you Deimos,
I’m still not being able to get my head around the fact they are not supporting someone being able to do the normal story missions again.
They should ofcourse ajust the rewards, i mean people would else just farm it for xp, but removing that shoudn’t be to much of a hassle?
Detailed explanation:
From what i read here on the forums is that the content at level 80 is very limited. I think there should be a very easy way to extend the level 80 content by a large amount.
This can be done by introducing Hardcore Storymode, based on the oldschool Guild Wars 1 hardmode quests. For you who did not play Guild Wars 1 let met give a short explanation.
In Guild Wars 1 there where quests that if you completed them you could do them in “hardmode”. Hardmode basically doubled the difficulty but was also very rewarding.
In general I’m kind of disappointed you cant do the story missions again after completing one. So i would like to see this feature implemented into the game. But besides that I think there are a few missions that are wordy of adding a “hardcore” mode to. I don’t think all quests are suited for this because some are just to short, or have very little combat.
I’d not dare to start naming what quests are suited for this and what are not this because there are so many missions I didn’t do yet. Allot of the missions are rather short tho, so maybe “combining” these missions into a single one to make them more of a challenge. Or you could make them into different “stages” where if you completed part 1 of a missions you get teleported to the next.
Now why should one want to do this? Well first of all you can do some of the missions again that you might have played trough to fast or while not paying good attention. Besides that the Hardcore mode missions should get good rewards. They should last shorter then Dungeons and scale to the amount of people that are in the party. The rewards could be anything from raw coin to tokens you can trade in for useful items/armor etc.
Hardcore should only be available after you have completed the entire original storymode, this means (not 100% sure) you’ll be level 80 and level downscaling wont be a problem in hardcore mode. As stated before i think the dungeon should be able to be done on your own or with a group and scale accordingly.
If you made it all the way here reading, please post a comment preferable constructive once

RaZaC
Hello everyone,
I removed the wall of text to make my suggestion more clear.
I would like to see the following things implemented:
*The possibility to replay all the story missions;
*When one hits level 80, gain access to story-hardmode;
*Hardmode scales with the amount of people in the party;
*Hardmode gives decent rewards (competitive with dungeons, both should stay viable);
I’ll post the original wall of text below, I go into a bit more detail regarding the subject.

Cool Topic
Level 50 Norn Elementalist 9/10 because of things that need refinement.
-Dungeons;
-More armor skins;
-Bug fixes;
-Balance PvP;
Well i joined yesterday and i can only say that it has been a positive experience so far.
I joined because i was looking to expand my gameplay-experience in Guild Wars 2. I wanted to do WvWvW and tPvP but hell its allot more fun when you do it with people you know!
If your looking for a community that will enhance you gameplay experience, The Conclave is the place to be ^^!
Guy’s thank you all for the invites, great to see people are recruiting so active also on the forums. I found a guild that fits me and my friend so no need for more posts
thanks!
Well as the title states,
I was in a group with 4 other people doing exportable mode for Caudecus’s Manor. We where just past the part where you have to fight your way trough a hall with flame-turrets and snipers. I just died so had to re-spawn, then all of a sudden our entire party was kicked out of the dungeon.
The strange thing was, we where separated in a group of 3 and 2 when we where kicked. Some of us where reallykitten because well, we died allot getting there and then we all got randomly kicked out :/
Here’s my Elementalist.
I did not mean to post the picture but after I actually got people cheering at the looks I decided to do it.
Nice color scheme
!
What is this “comando” set your talking about? Are they rewards from the final Personal Story quests?
Here’s my Flame Legion set:
I have to say, that looks sick!
I’m defenitly going to try this out, I’m norn and the fact that my ele can actually use a Hammer pretty awesome.
I used it before but wasn’t able to make decent build (i was low level). So i’ll give this a shot (maybe not today but when i’m little higher level).
My question is tho, how does this work in dungeons? Would it be more viable to use the “summon shield” abbility when doing dungeons?
Thanks anyways for this cool post
Hello everyone,
Me and a friend are looking to join an active Guild. We created a guild together but we dont play enought to be able to actually run a guild.
The things we would like to see in a Guild:
*Active Guild chat;
*Friendly/helpfull people that have a sence of humor;
*Great goals but a realistic fiew on them;
*Organised events in PvE and WvWvW;
*Guild tournament groups for sPvP;
PM me if you’d like us to join your Guild
!
Switching servers wont be a problem.
1 Race to rule them all, woobs that sounds bad :P
But its a fact that norn are the superior race, they can absorb the most beer of all!
Gangnam Style!!!
They should be big, but atm they are to big, I want to actually wear long robes so i dont see them planks flopping around carrying my giant beardy beer absorbing norn.
Where did i see this before?
Here it was:
Sorry to ruin all the fun xD Atleast your Norn thats acceptable.

Sending a ticked like you did and pray they help you quicly
maybe someone of A-Net reads this and will be able to speed up the process for you.
At the end of the personal story, an NPC states there’s only one dwarf left – she’s a member of the Durmand Priory.
So it’s unlikely there will be more dwarves in an expansion.
@Karast: I really hope we don’t get 1 expansion for 1 dragon (or rather, I hope we don’t focus on only one dragon per expansion). I’m personally hoping we get 2 or 3 dragons in the first expansion (Kralk, Jormag, and possibly Primordus) – then we can go and take out other threats – like Joko, the DSD, and other lands (Cantha?).
Well the last remaining dwarf on the surface states that the other dwarfs are fighting underground to fight or something… I’d rather beleef him
I’m not sure about this, but piles of salt and peper consit out of salt (gold) and pepper (gahter/karma). Now what you could do is buy allot of salt
Only acquirable from Herb Patches after an overnight update.
^this shows they are not supporting karma to gold methods.
Quaggan, i want to see them playable!
Keep the positivity going ;=)!
I just love exploration in this game
yesterday i had my first 100% map completion
To kick this of i’ll start with sharing something that made me laugh
I was just done with killing the Asura starting area boss and was told to make myself “invaluable” which indeed is a very good idea ^^
So i was standing there, and in the distance i heard to fellow asura arguing about something. It turned out to be a father and a daugther arguing about her boyfriend that was also standing in near them.
The point was that he wanted to take her out, but her father would not allow it. So ofcourse you get the the father-daugther argument. Now the argument ended rather funny.
The daughter was able to convince her father… partly. Because right before they happely go off and do whatever asura do on a date her father sends a golem (forgot the type#), with them to keep an eye on them at all times. And this is what it was saying:
GolemX: Hands where i can see them at all times… Hands where i can see them at all times… Hands where i can see them at all times… etc. xD
This amount of detail, voice acting, and humor coudnt hold me from loling behind my monitor ^^!
So I’ve been reading the forums allot, and the thing i noticed is that the level of negative posts in the forums is kinda skyhigh.
As a result of this i felt like making this thread, where you can post something positive about the game, it be an experience you want to share or something you like about the game in general.
So shake of that negativity for a moment and write something positive!
Beware people, if you post something story related use dat spoiler tab!
They need to change the rewards system so that people who rez, heal and support in other way’s will be rewarded just as much as the dps people.
A friend of mine really wants to play Guild Wars, but since i’m no Mac user i was wondering if any of you could telle whether or not he would be able to run the game on the following MacBook:
macbook pro 13’ early 2011
i5
4gb
intel 3000 graphics
os x 1.8.01
Thanks!
On windows it makes a folder automaticly, so i suppose this is a mac bug that needs fixing.
The day-night cycle now is 2 hours, which is fine imo. But i agree with point 3, the time should be the same across zones.
What is this KITTEN garbage?
I have never seen it until I started playing this game. Is it some auto-insert mechanism that the forums use when someone uses profanity or is it some kind of teeny bopper forum slang?
Every time I see it I want to stab someone… is that normal?
The last part is not normal i’d like to recommand you to watch more kitten pictures.
And yes its used to block foul-language
so kittens instead of foul-language no bad trade aight?!
The timing of the post is perfect xD
But gratz to all Mac users!
The religion that is Guild Wars 2 will now reach-out to the biggest infidels in the gaming community!
Small question how much time will it cost me to get the Sorrow’s Embrace exotic set?
“•Added a system to limit the experience and gold that players can receive from speed-farming dungeons.”
This limit, what are we talking about in % ? I meen how bad is the nerf?
Google is your friend i’ll help you by giving you this link to the Elite dungeon armor sets.
http://gw2.unfair.co/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Furnace-Reward-Medium.jpg
The database will endup coming to gw2 wiki i think or people will just mod it themselfs.
thanks to the both of you! love those skins to death and would put many an hour into getting that sick, sick lookg armor
!
So i was googling for the dungeon armor what they look like, you know a little motivation boost :P
While doing this i came across 2 very different looking skins for dungeons 0,o? one way cooler then the other. can anyone tell me what is the official ingame skin? Or is it possible to aquire both of them?
Wiki: (scroll down)
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sorrow%27s_Embrace_armor
gw2 unfair:
http://gw2.unfair.co/cosmetic/dungeon-armor/guild-wars-2-norn-cosmetic-dungeon-armor-sets/
Just compare the Furnace Sorrow’s Embrace armors, they look completely different, the one from the wiki doesnt even look half as cool as the other one.
Whats up with this?
So I got banned for three days for use of 'racial slurs'

^I have to agree that context is always very important.
You probably don’t know any black people. Yeah looks like i’ll be playing SC2 for the next three days.
Tip for readers: Don’t say kitten words or beware of ban.
Actually i play SC2 with people from allot of diffrent racial backgrounds, never use the “n” word tho its just not something i see fit to use…
Oh i cant have an opinion because i didn’t do them yet? jolly good thats new to me! I read these forums on a daily basis and read enough to get a rough feeling of what the problems are with dungeons.
The reason i was using such strong words is because he jumps from his initial dungeon complaints (which i can understand very well) to the entire PvE section. Saying how its a WoW fail etc. etc.
While I am very skeptical about the validity of such a claim I will try and view this from a point of view that you are indeed telling the truth. What kind of response are you seriously expecting from such a post? Your claim seems like a very veiled attempt to rile up the community in saying “Well my son is smart enough to do this so why aren’t you?”.
So while I commend your sons ability in leading and completing said dungeon at such a young age, I am not particularly fond of you posting this on a forum and expecting anything other than angering individuals with your arrogance.
So congratulations I suppose?
+1
These kind of posts can bet taken wrongly, very easy.
Enough “lol” lol <— anyways ofcourse they read the forums, this one and the suggestion forums. But they are propably only able to read only 10% of all the forum posts if even less. And they have not time to respond to them besides that.
