Does Karma Booster work with Jugs of Liquid Karma?
And any of its lesser variants as well?
My only comment is this:
What’s the point in designing an armour set that is pretty much non-existent? (E.I. Skimpy!)
I can just see how amazing the dyes would be on them, sorry but the whole point of armour is to protect you in battle… Let’s try and keep it slightly realistic shall we guys!?
I personally don’t buy a video game to be bound by reality. In reality, you don’t see a Centaur.
I know such an armor doesn’t exist IRL, that’s why I turn to video games.
Let’s keep the killjoy down, okay guys? And inbefore people start screaming “OMG a lonely basement pervert nerd!”, please, this is a video game. I want to see the impossible. I want to see perfection. I don’t play a video game so I can see a beer-belly 45 years old guy that doesn’t do sports and fall when lifting something heavier than 10 lbs, I go to the bar for that.
The entire point is to see more skin. The word “skimpy” doesn’t define anything else.
Just don’t party with players that are in Full Magic Find gear. Magic Find is for Grinding, not running Instances/Parties.
But if you ask for gear ping you will be called elitist at least. If there was a way to inspect what people are wearing then there would be no problem with that. But many leechers don’t want this to happen because they would be kicked from parties.
I’m under the impression that traveler’s set increases power and condition damage
While explorer’s improves power and precisionBut their main stat is magic find so those people would contribute more by running with non mf gear.
Overall I think sharing mf with the party is a great idea. Those who want high mf would just group with likeminded people and everybody would be happy.
I find it to be a horrifying idea. All the efforts you put into increasing MF: food, equips, runes, all will be for naught the moment someone is 10% short. People need money to buy the MF gear in the first place. Sometimes, they’d need to farm. MF runes aren’t cheap. I myself don’t have a full deck MF yet for my MF gear, and if I (who are actively trying to get more MF) aren’t decked yet, how do I expect others to be better than me?
If the problem in the first place is MF gear being worn in dungeons, I don’t think MF sharing is the solution
I don’t want to go in dungeons with 4 Russians which will never talk to me because I don’t speak it. If you really want to separate from the rest of the world who speaks the international language called English, fine! But only if you get your own separated Russian server.
^
A certain MMO called Dragon Nest (ever heard of it?) has its International server populated with lots of Filipinos (that’s the term for people of Philippines)
And what happens when lots of Filipinos come together? Why, they chat in tagalog! (Filipino’s native language) Tagalog doesn’t require its own glyphs
This results in Filipinos throwing chats all over (even in parties. Remember, this is International, even Brazilians are allocated here). So many times a bunch of words are thrown in a pattern, somebody managed to figure out they’re insults.
It’s not a disaster, but seriously, consider this: if you, as a newbie, screwed up and a slur of language you don’t understand in unknown glyphs starts to pour out, how do you feel?
Now, I believe that you Russians do not share the same insult-throwing trait (If Hollywood is any indication, you Russians tend to like body-warming vodka, snow, and stylized accent), but Russian is currently not a language known in all parts of the world. English is known in even 3rd World countries, but Russian?
So, if you would like Cyrillic support for Russian chat, I think it’s better implemented in dedicated Russian server.
I’d rather have more slots in the party system, especially for WvW
Seeing as so many classes (Engi, Necro) have a ton of bugs, and every class has a lot of utility skills that just flat out suck, I doubt conjures will get a major rework anytime soon.
Conjures already flat-out suck. They’re the worst of all the utilities on the classes I play regularly (ele/thief/mesmer/necro/warr). At best, they are novelty value.
Edit: Simply increasing the duration of conjured weapons won’t make us use them. The problem is that we need all four attunements to be able to survive, and conjures lock us out of them.
Exactly. In order to justify giving up 20 skills and a utility slot for a conjure, the conjured weapon skills need to be amazing (which they are far far from currently), or they need not to lock out attunement switching.
Ice Bow and Fire Greatsword is only useful in Ascalonian Catacombs Explorable Mode against Gravelings Burrows.
Have you tried Frost Bow against practically any other structure (try trebs in Orr for example)? How about the Harpies in Uncategorized fractal? Ice Elemental in Snow fractal? Anything with a large hitbox, really…same goes for Fiery Greatsword.
It is pretty sad that the things are only useful in certain area in certain mode in certain condition in certain time against certain target
Depends how often those conditions and targets appear…
Anyone even ever tried Conjure Hammer and Shield? I have, they suck balls
I heard Lightning Hammer is Elementalist’s highest standard DPS against normal targets if build for it. Shield could be a bit better though…
I go straight to Penitent and Shelter in Orr, and guest to find calm Cathedrals. I have only done fractals twice, and none involves snowy areas, perhaps we’re just (un)lucky. The only harpies I found in fractals are in that Rata Sum like area with herat-exploding jumping puzzle with 2/3 Gundams as the boss

fiery gs only useful in AC? this is funny, fiery gs got the most dps skill of all game (fiery gs is the king of CoE)!!!!! hammer got realy high dps
Fiery GS is pretty good for tagging mobs in Cursed Shore, and to run away from chasers, but I have never found any situation other that those that favors Fiery Greatsword to fight instead of keeping all of your elemental attunements and gain access to pretty much everything else.
FYI, multiscreen setups have a larger FOV, MUCH larger.
So it’s possible that some “zoomhacking” is simply people with nice setups.
And that means, they’re not on even ground, which is simply not the way to do battle honorably.
Skill is one thing, premium zoom is another.
I’m all for more variety, but there are plenty of skimpy armors already in terms of percentage (as Raestloz pointed out, basically half of all the female light stuff would be considered skimpy anywhere that wasn’t a hot summer day outside).
This is simply not true. Most of the armors are “revealing”, yes, but not “skimpy”. And the “revealing” isn’t the same across everything.
Most are simply “revealing” because they show cleavage, which is pretty much not unusual even on urban/rural streets. I only include them to save myself from feminists that would scream at me otherwise.
I ask for more things like Masquerade (80 rare light female) or human female T3 armors, they’re skimpy, but also looks elegant. Skimpy for the sake of skimpy such as Scarlet Blade / Tera armors are not what I’m talking about.
Baby got “show” back! On new skimpy armor.
Backless is nice, they look good anyway. Besides, who will complain about backless? I can picture people raging all over if you’re frontless
I’m talking about the adept/master/grandmaster training manuals. For some reason, they’re available in BLTC. Ironically, Adept’s is cheaper than vendor prices, but Master/Grandmaster is more expensive by about 10-25%, ensuring nobody’ll buy them
Where do you guys even get them in the first place?
Zoomhack?
You mean, you can zoom at the distance of SAB boss?
Seen screens of them zooming further. (To the moon alice!)
Well by the Six Gods and Abaddon below! That’s far too OP! Especially with the mechanics (and damage, and range) of Arrow Carts
Zoomhack?
You mean, you can zoom at the distance of SAB boss?
Fire 5: moderate 5 target AoE damage
It was my impression that Meteor Shower bypasses the 5-man target limit because the limit applies to each individual meteor, rather than the whole spell. I could be wrong though. Also, since it can easily deal up to 10k damage per target (in PvE hitting isn’t an issue) the damage is far from mediocore. Especially for an AoE skill.
Water 4: 5 target short duration
Prefer ‘perma-chills-anything-including-bosses-due-to-combo-potential’ as a decription instead. That’s also the reason it has a short duration. If used correctly, it can easily apply 20+ seconds of chill.
2s charge blind that always misses
How can is miss if it’s not a projectile? Or do you mean that you can’t use it to ‘block’ a specific attack?
Easily hit up to 10K per target? Against uplevelled folks in wvw? or glass cannons? or, ambient creatures? It will not do that damage against a levelled enemy in wvw. It can’t, the damage calculations don’t allow for it.
If you get 20+ seconds of chill from that skill, your opponent was afk in the field. 5 seconds, pinging every second, on a field that one dodge roll removes you from, for a max possible hit of 20 targets, or 5 at 20 seconds. Far more likely, you’ll get 5 people for 5 seconds, and that’s it.
The air skill has a 2 second build up, evade and dodge both work against it (which shouldn’t, because it’s not a projectile.) you can also walk around the ele and not get hit, which is also wrong, because it’s not supposed to be a projectile.
Please, don’t accuse me of being a baddy, when I most certainly know whereof I speak. My complaints about damage come straight from working the damage calculation from the wiki, my complaints about skills come from actual in-game experience, since the descriptions (on about 70% of the skills in game) are flat out wrong.
Ele was my main, 1200 hours, trust me, I know the ele. I shelved him because the lack of love on staff, and the kittenstorm that came down because of d/d bunkers.
I can roll a S/D ele, and play in melee range, but that’s not what I want. I want to be a staff wielding engine of pain, as described on the character creation screen, the Anet page about ele’s, and what we were in GW1. Hitting like a limp noodle from range, with no tools to maintain that range, sucks balls.
10k damage per target is an impossibility. Well, unless against ambient creatures.
My main is ele, and I’m glad I went for support the moment I see the description of water. Staff feels lackluster in damage dealing department.
Ice Spike is far too slow. First, it shows the enemy a very clear red circle, then it forms up in the air for 2 seconds before it finally tries to hit the ground. 2 seconds between the red circle and the damage tick? The problem is in the skill right there.
The Eruption thing is also another problem. Frankly, ele has lots of combo fields, but pretty much no combo finisher. You need to cats Eruption and quickly switch to another attunement and cast the combo field to take advantage of it. It doesn’t work against small raid parties or wavy zerg battle where the balance shifts every so often

It hammers home how important dodgeing is. The troll has a very long animation before it stomps. They can only hold your hand so long. Also it isnt the first time players have encountered a troll in Queendale there is the champion troll. It works the same way and I believe it’s a level 12 area. So by level 30 this shouldn’t be new to you.
I’m under the impression one-hit kill attacks are lazy ways to provide fictional challenge.
Make the boss interesting, not dull and boring. One hit kill isn’t the former.
Besides, it’s not like everybody does Troll first time around.
The wiki lists “Crafting” as a customizable soundtrack, but when I’m crafting, it usually involves either Ambient/City music played first, so I never hear my custom songs when crafting.
Is it actually played at all?
I’m under the impression that traveler’s set increases power and condition damage
While explorer’s improves power and precision
both of which are offensive stats

Thanks Hades! How my karma set is complete!
I see. I don’t find that info from the wiki. Thanks!
I’m looking to complete my PVT set, but for some reason I cannot find any (and I mean ANY, as in, level requirement 0-80, all rarity, all types, even non availables are okay) armor with Soldier’s prefix. There are a multitude of others, such as night’s , Carrion, etc etc etc, but there is NO Soldier’s armor
To make sure the prefix actually exists by itself, a full all-out search (everything goes) yields Soldier’s prefixes for accessories and weapons, but there is no armor in sight
The closest I get is Sentinel, but Sentinel focuses on Vitality, Soldier focuses on Power.
Any NA server has Dwayna open?
This has been requested many times, and it would be a massive QoL improvement. There was a check box for “Only show things usable by me” during beta, but it didn’t work and was removed. My guess is it’s on a list somewhere and will arrive at some time.
They already can put the red warning on items, I don’t understand how hard it would be to not list them instead? :???: I mean… eh…. IDK. I hear the TP is actually a different application altogether, so maybe they can’t leverage the same thing?
The QoL improvement is understated maybe. Actually, now that I think about it, only Armors have this problem. I mean, weapons do not have 3 types of differentiation, and consumables can be used by everybody
I can assume this has been requested many times, but checked page 1, 2, 3 and there is none (I think) so I shout out again.
I find it very…. aggravating… that I can’t filter armor by weight in TP
For example, my main is Ele, wearing Light Armor. Whenever I search for prefixes, or sort by price or something, there will always be medium and heavy armor mixed in between, hindering me from actually finding an armor I can use
I mean, seriously? What is the point of it? Is is helpfully printed in red letters “You cannot wear this piece of clothing”. Well yes I appreciate that, but why show them to me in the first place?
All I suggest is, put another filter field, to further filter by weight.
Staff:
Fire: 1. Normal attack 2. small AoE damage 3.Target AoE burn 4. Escape 5. Large AoE damage
Water: 1. Low attack, heals melee allies 2. Vulnerability 3. Small AoE heal 4. AoE Slow 5. Large AoE Heal
Air: 1. Ricochet attack 2. 2s charge blind 3. narrow single target push 4. AoE swiftness 5. AoE stun
Earth: 1. Normal attack, weakness effect 2: 2s charge bleed 3. Anti-Missile shield 4. Cripple 5. Narrow single target immobilize
Description:
Fire – heavy damage and burning abilities.
Water – superior support and healing abilities.
Air – heavy damage and control abilities.
Earth – superior damage-over-time and defensive abilities.
At least for staff, the role simply isn’t optimal.
Fire’s burning capability is only skill 3
Air’s damaging skill is only skill 1
Earth’s bleed is only skill 2, defense is only skill 3 and 4
Overlap in utility:
Water 4, Air 5, Earth 4 all are pretty much for the same use: halting the enemy. Air 5 is useless against stability, but Water and Earth 4 are still applicable
Burn and Bleed both are damage-over-time.
The playstyles are not different. Different attunement only defines the type of damage you deal. I frankly would like them to have different playstyle with each attunement, for example:
Fire – gain superior area damage spells (burn is only a bit of bonus)
Water – gain superior healing and boon spells (chill is only a bit of bonus)
Air – gain superior single-target spells and knockbacks
Earth – gain superior blockade and condition spells (bleed is only a bit of bonus)
So:
Use Fire to deal damage to a large group of enemies
Use Water to truly support your allies
Use Air to deal with single targets, and to harass individuals
Use Earth to keep the enemies from chasing, or to keep them from running away. Also to inflict conditions such as blind, vulnerability, and the likes.
I used to go for Cleric’s, but then I realized Water only makes up for 25% of Ele’s spells. I usually go forward to slow the enemies anyway (cripple, slow, stun) so I’m switching to Soldier. (Well, not all. I still have Cleric staff and will have 4 Cleric accs)
Ele is also pretty much needed to AoE siege engines on cliffs and whatnot
WvW is more exciting than PvE when you’re heavily outnumbered, you’ll appreciate the bravery of the Russians during the earlier part of World War II
And witnessing the enemy retreating after they’ve breached your tower because of a great defense is a very pleasant moment
Outmanned saves you a few silvers, but doesn’t do ANY more than that
The Outmanned buff is triggered when your numbers is significantly lower than the number of enemy’s forces. I’d assume that it is counted against the server with highest number
Unfortunately, this is not an area effect, the number is counted across the entire area. There is a high possibility that some duded are "duel"ing it out, taking up the space so that you no longer have the buff, but absolutely refuse to help you in any way
Or, there are people trying to complete the map, just roaming around, not helping you too
What’s the difference between a level 3 and a level 79?
There is none. They are both upscaled
/thread
There is none
Your best bet is your starter armor
Had a lot of fun defending pangloss for half an hour (and more perhaps) from NSP with just 6 people
Then, NSP began to wisen up and send actual zerg instead of a few (but extremely persistent) scouts
Just when the camp was lost, and my people were running away (I was already outside the cave), our good Commander came with reinforcements (read: zerg from another area). I tell you, if I didn’t know any better, I’d expect a Director to scream “CUT!” for such a cliche moment.
Then, we held the mine for another half an hour, with diminishing troops each time (there are more areas with pressing need for troops instead of a small supply camp in the middle of enemy area). It’s like an objective from a Bruce Willis movie. A small, quaint camp, which holds a code for nuclear missiles.
I have to say:
“Thanks for all the loot bags, NSP! I finally got my PvP Wizard skin! Hope we’ll have the chance to do that again soon!”
EDIT: Btw, I ordered three upgrades during the defense, first was about 10 minutes after we started sitting on the mine. Two was finished, the third was about 50% underway. Deduct the time, cause I didn’t really pay attention, I just go with what my teammate said: “about an hour total”
Oh, and props to the few extremely persistent NSP scouts that did in our ACs:
1) An upscaled Charr warrior (looks like, he used a rifle, and doesn’t throw elixirs, don a kit, or put a turret) that kept trying from the south
2) A d/d human ele that kept attacking from the north and destroy our northern AC with a few Ride The Lightning (she died after each RtL)
3) An asura ele that kept trying from the south
And maybe a few more, I kinda forgot
(edited by Raestloz.7134)
I see a Haunter, and i was like, :top:
In any case, lots of thought went into this and I can certainly agree.
Especially, you don’t only say “Devs, fix this!” but you actually provide solutions. I don’t want grindy mobs, but epic battles worthy of songs and prideful joys.
Armor switch? I dunno. Feels like you don’t really need it. I mean, you can’t retrait on the fly, your armor is usually fitted with prefixes and runes that work together with your role and traits. Or was it the weapon?
And just for clarification, I don’t see any harm in that. I’m sure plenty of women also enjoy looking at an attractive male character. But I think we should stand up for tasteful clothes, and an equal amount of attractive outfits for men. This idea that women always have to walk around in their underwear in video games has got to stop.
Of all clothings (light armor) in the game, only:
1) Apprentice (starter)
2) Embroidered (first tier craft)
3) Winged (level 65)
4) Feathered (75)
6) Masquerade (80)
7) Human cultural T3
8) PvP tribal
9) WvW Wizard
10) Koda
11) Inquest
12) Conjurer
12) Tactical
13) Whispers
14) Vigil
15) PvP armaggedon
16) Norn Cultural T1
17) Norn Cultural T2
Can be seen as “revealing” (and nordic culturals completely cover the waist and below). Mostly, “revealing” only because they show cleavage or show some thighs, but nothing below whatever you can see on public pools or beaches on western countries.
Currently, I’m looking at a compilation of light armor skins, and I count there are 35 skins, including 3 human culturals, excluding the culturals of every other race (even nords). There are more than enough armors to choose from that doesn’t even show skin at all.
So, if you’re looking to debunk the thing about female armors in MMO, you’ll not find it here.
Whenever I see the chickens incoming, I scream in /s chat:
“CHAMPION KFC INCOMING” (direct quote)
Then, I quickly evade backwards twice and use my fire skill 4 (staff ele) for good measure, and start flinging magic from the farthest spot possible.
Because I know the last time I try to be near it, it suddenly kills every single people around.
ANet, think about it: not everyone are bots.
I had to do research to get skimpy armor for my female elementalist.
Seriously speaking, there are far too many non-revealing armor in the market (and no, I’m not attempting sarcasm). For light armor, the first two armors and the last few armors are revealing. The rest is pretty much the things you’d wear at UNICEF meeting. Medium and Heavy Armors are even worse, as the number of revealing armors can be counted by hand, most are heavy trenchcoats or full-set platings. IIRC the
We have enough non-revealing armors already to shut all the people that screams “OBJECTIFICATION!” up.
By the way, I’m not asking for bikini-level revealing here. I just want to see the effect of that “skin color” setting I chose to be more pronounced. Take the Human T3 light armor for example. Skins, yes but also quite elegant.
Everyone has a right to play WvW, and people that actually participate in World versus World instead of guild duel (because frankly, go to spvp server for that?) has even more right to do so.
Things to do if you’re a newbie in WvW: (NOTE: NEWB is NOT NOOB. Everyone is a newb at some point. A NOOB is a snot that thinks he’s the smartest and ignores the better people’s advice)
If you’re not powerful enough to fight (this is especially true if you haven’t unlocked Elite Skill yet), you can always contribute in other areas, such as:
1) Supply Runner. People may not like running supplies, but repairing the walls, doors or stuff will earn you gratitude. In war, everyone is important. Just make sure you’re not taking from towers or keeps or castle unless absolutely necessary. If in doubt, ask people on your server in map chat
2) Scout. Be the all-seeing eye of your beloved Motherland! Roam around and look out for enemy movements. Check their current position, where they’re going, how many are their numbers, what kind of professions make up their ranks, what siege weaponry they have. All this intel is very useful for everyone. A good scout makes all the difference between the allegiance of a tower! And will surely earn gratitude from your commanders
3) Join the fight anyway. Every person counts in battle. Even if you can’t kill just yet (your damage may not be enough), you can still use your skills, or be a meatshield that keeps your other, more veteran warriors alive (fill the slots in AoE cap). Heck, you can even get your first Badge of Honor!
Things to remember in WvW:
1) Obey your Commanders. They’re the guys with special blue icon on the map (not the usual bright blue dots, that’s your party members). Usually, only those who love WvW so much are willing to shell out 100g to get that honor. Do what they say, especially about tactics: when to retreat, when to push forward, etc etc etc. Not all commanders are good obviously), but a good commander makes all the difference, which will only be felt when you obey them.
2) Leave the supplies in towers/keeps/castle alone they’re there for defense upgrades. Only take supplies from camps. If you don’t know which are camps, they’re places without walls and has a tent icon on the map
3) Always take supplies if you encounter a camp. Supplies are needed everywhere, brining some will never hurt anyone
Well, at level 80, all kinds of armor/weapon skins are available to you. All dungeons are unlocked, and you can finalize your build.
If you look at the last pic on the new living story page (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/living-world-pivot-point), the two characters in the bottom right appear to be wearing swimsuit skins. The male is wearing a speedo while the female appears to be wearing a 2-piece bikini that is different from the normal underclothing (although I could be wrong, as it is hard to tell from far away). I just hope this isn’t just more npc specific clothing shenanigans.
The norn in the left back is wearing the naked underwear, but the female human is clearly wearing a swimsuit. The usual underwear is more covering than that
You cant directly compare engi utility skills to that of a guardian or other class. the focus of power is different for each class.
So keep that in mind when trying to figure out just how powerful turrets should be.
Of course I can’t. Every single utility skills other classes have are either AoE sprouting from them, targetable AoE, or single target skills. tl;dr they do what you expect them to do, while turrets are none of it. You can’t choose which target to attack, their cooldown is high, and if engagement moves to somewhere else, you have to wait for cooldown to put your stuff again. Pets? Elementals? They attack the same target you’re engaging.
Heck, cooldown can be tolerable if the targeting isn’t so crappy.
The range is FAR TOO OP. Arrow farts should not have the same range as a kitten ballista. What’s the point of even building a ballista to counter siege if Arrow farts have taken that role? And it can shoot over walls!
I don’t know how you do it, GoM
But I’ve been killing your people in a big war (we’re talking about 1vs3 in GoM’s favor here, maybe 1v5) for about half an hour and I absolutely don’t get any badges. Instead, I get white staff and junks like mangled Talon or something.
Well played, GoM.
By the way, the war I’m talking about is an almost constant Orange Swords happening near jerrifer, where the proud knights of Devona play ping pong WvW style with GoM zerg. We push them back to Klovan, they come back from SM to bolster their numbers again, push us back to jerr, we push them back again to Klovan… all day long it feels.
For about half an hour, actually. Good fun. IDK why we don’t have Outmanned buff, maybe we have AFK people MobyDi**ing around at Lowlands Keep or something.
Someone gets to practice his Trebuchet Marksmanship during the whole ordeal too, he’s a natural.
Also, any GoM commanders watching this thread? Tell your guys not to laugh at corpses, especially when you have ranger, warrior and IDK-what-the-other-one-is chasing down a staff ele wearing full clerics who just AoE’d your treb in a 3vs1 scenario. It makes your people look like Chris Hansen material
(edited by Raestloz.7134)
Most probably, your Intel HD Graphics is being used instead of your actual GPU. iX processors tend to be smartcat and do that
you can do it if you start ressing then you go mistform.
almost any class can do that btw.
Welp, good thing to know. Will try it today
I didn’t think someone actually comes up with a way to teabag
You really have to give credit where it’s due. These HALO hardcores really, really likes to teabag, they’d go to great lengths to find the perfect position and orientation to start teabagging in a game that doesn’t support crouching.
I’m in favor of either of these:
1) Make the rifle an actual rifle, change the animation to aimed shot
2) Just drop the act and change the name to Blunderbuss. It’s our 3rd skill.
3) Change the entire skill to reflect that they’re actually shotguns, not rifles
The real problem is the fact that ANet lumps completely different guns into “Rifle”. There are actual Rifle such as “Avenger Rifle”, Blunderbuss such as “Bronze Rifle”, and there are shotguns with bayonet such as “Adamant Guard Rifle”, or a more honest one, “Pact Shotgun”
Think of them as utilities, and not pets.
wrt the net turret, think of equivalent skills in other professions. The guardian has an immobilize signet-active. You get 2s of immobilize and that’s it. The net turret does an immobilize and then hangs around to suck up some damage, or possibly immobilize again.
Agreed there are issues where the turrets die easy, pick a target that you wouldn’t have picked, etc. Some of those issues will be fixed over time, others maybe not.
Compared to other “non-turret” utility skills from other professions, turrets are not bad.
They will never be some uber-tanking-DPS-dealing-super-pets. If that’s what it’ll take to make you happy, then you’ll will be perpetually sad.
If they can be moved, then yes they are good utilities. Imagine yourself putting up a Rifle Turret hoping to damage Champion Troll, and suddenly the thing shoots a Glowing Grub, which proceeds to attack you. At that point, the thing ceases to be a utility and becomes a burden.
You cannot move them, you cannot direct them, you cannot do anything but pray to the Six Gods and Abaddon that they’ll actually do something useful if there’s more than one viable targets around. There is literally no way to justify them. Zhaitan frolics in any justification to Turrets
And you can direct pets to attack your target. Imagine that.
This is no different than Spirits for the Ritualist in GW1.
And what relevance does that skill have in our discussion? This is not iOS discussionAlthough you can’t move them, you can certainly pick them up and place them down again (with a reduced c/d because you picked them up instead of letting them die).
It’s not as hapless as you make it sound. Yeah you have to work it a bit because it’s not completely easy-mode — but it’s not horrific either.
I like the way ELITISTS think: “if you want something to work well instead of honing your skill and pray to Random Target God that they will attack the intended target, you want easy mode”. How is it that asking that we can tell the Six-Gods-Forsaken Rifle Turret which target to attack easy mode? Is there even a single argument in favor of the auto-targeting system they currently have? Because the only argument I’ve seen so far is “Oh, you have to THINK when to put it down, sonny boy.” Well, suck my foot son, you also have to think if using weapon skill 1 has a 50% chance to instantly kill you, doesn’t mean the concept is horrifyingly useless. If your argument is “But.. but…. if you can TELL which target to attack, they’d be… like…. so OverPowered, sonny boy!” Then tweak the Six-Gods-Forsaken numbers: the damage, cooldown, duration, that sort of thing. Don’t introduce a completely Six-Gods-Forsaken auto-targeting system. Engineers don’t have jetpack, they don’t have computers to build AI with.My original point was these will never be pets — they are utilities.
And there is not a single counter-argument to our little Luminescent Grub scenario! What a discussion worthy of wasting my time over! I’m SOOO elated!
ressing my ally under heavy fire? NP
Can someone verify that this guy is indeed NOT trolling?
Because I’m sure that you can’t do anything while in Mist Form, unlike Elixir S
It’s a good skill, but it’s entirely situational, and the range is very short, keeping you close to downed allies, which would be a risk if they got downed in the first place. But it does grant you a chance to kite while casting, instead of directly reviving and taking direct damage from enemies, I suppose.
Well…
My experience when using Glyph of Renewal:
1) Suppose there’s an ally downed, and you cast Glyph of Renewal ASAP. At the last moment, a danger looms, forcing you to move out of cast range. Glyph is casted, but since you’re out of range, FAIL.
2) Suppose that ally is downed again, you cast Glyph of Renewal ASAP. Then, an AoE looms, forcing you to dodge. FAIL
3) Suppose our incompetent ally is downed again (or the enemy is far too competent), you cast Glyph of Renewal ASAP. Your allies resurrected said ally faster than you can cast it (or they rallied). FAIL
4) Suppose our sad ally is downed again, you cast Glyph of Renewal ASAP, the enemy has already stomped him to death (or DPSed him). FAIL
Under ANY occasion, Glyph of Renewal is definitely not worth the slot. Actually, get Glyph of Storms instead and kill your foe so he can rally.
