[Suggestion] Inventor’s Sunglasses.

Ever since I joined this game back in September of 2015, I have not seen this item on Sale. I was wondering if it would be possible for it to show up once more after a while? It’s really an amazing item and I find it pretty awesome to say at least.

The first post appears to be a year old. It seems like this bug has happened in the past; got fixed and there it is again.

And now we’ll have to wait months or maybe years to see it fixed just like the rest.

After I created a replica of Scarlet Briar I managed to get myself into an interesting roleplaying setting, which lead to a big question: ‘What if Scarlet returned?’

It was, at start, just some silly roleplay with no serious means but ti started to get more interesting and bigger that I decided to expand it even more, but since I’m no expert in the game’s lore I’m really in need of help.

I’ve set her a plan, which fits(kinda) her mentality(what was left of it), but the bigger issue is… how in the world would she return from the dead? This is a really serious question, and I need all the help I can get. How could she return? I mean, there has to be a way, right? GW2 is set in a fantasy world with talking rats, dragons and anthrofied cat-like figures! Anything’s possible! Even in Game of Thrones there’s aways to bring someone back to life!

If nothing is found, I’ll just stick with the ‘impostter’ idea, which will suit more people.. but not me. I really like this character..

Some time ago I purchased a Total Makeover Kit for my Female Norn Ranger and lately I’ve been having some problems with both her face model and hair. There’s something serious going on with them, especially their animations. Sometimes my female’s eyes turn blank as if they were possessed and her air remains stiff depending of her actions. I thought this would be an issue because I play on low graphics but after asking a few friends of mine they revealed to me that they were also seeing this issue. This is extremely creepy and uncomfortable. I can’t really play this character because of these odd issues and I’m starting to regret having bought that kit.

Then post his ticket number in the review thread. It’s quite possible the support agent did not understand what he was asking. Anet has been extremely clear if a refund request is needed to speak to them about it.

I have contacted some support members and even posted the ticket in the “3 days and older” thread hoping something would happen’. We’re pretty much in a tight situation and… freaking out slightly. I know that a ‘paysafe card’ situation isn’t one of the best but there has to be any kind of solution for this.. He doesn’t even want to play the game!

My friend finally got an answer with a big round ‘NO’. They didn’t even try to help, all they did was say ‘no’ and made him wait nearly four days. Is this some kind of joke? He’s really upset! He just threw to the junk can 35€! I can’t believe this is happening..

It’s been about three days and he hasn’t received any answer.

I had a friend who decided to get something for me as a late birthday gift and since he didn’t have a card he decided to use a Paysafe Card. No biggy, right? Well it turned out it was region blocked and I… told him that Gem items could be gifted to other players so he downloaded the game and made an account for that purpose.

He bought the gems and well, when he was going to try to gift me something.. we discovered that F2P accounts cannot do that and I was stupid enough to not having realized that sooner.. I just made my friend waste so much money for nothing! He contacted support but I have no idea what is going to happen’. He’s so nervous and I’m really upset… I don’t want to have him wasted so much money for nothing..

I mean, upgrading his account is out of the question because he really dislikes MMOs and prefers simpler games. We met on a forum and we just chat a lot…

What am I going to do now?

sorry, but your pc is rly bad for this game.. i have i5 2.6GHz, 8GB ram, GT310M and i cant rly play this game on my notebook.. your setup is similiar.. so just get better PC.. nothign can help u..
and i wont believe you if u say u had more FPS before
25-30FPS is unplayable, try to play 50FPS+, its totaly different game then
u get your ping higher cuz your CPU is bottneck

That’s a really lame and lazy response. 30FPS is already dream for me since that’s the maximum amount of FPS I can get on a console… I don’t give two feathers about 60FPS, and yes the game was PLAYABLE and it is sometimes; but the problem just pops out of nowhere randomly.

And simply saying ‘get a new pc’ is just dumb and a time waster. If you don’t have anything useful to say, then don’t even bother.

And I’m aware that my laptop isn’t good, but I played GW2 just fine and still play TERA just fine. It’s an issue that has been happening to a lot of people recently with no fix to be found.

Just an update. Framerate is back to normal; ping seems to be as usual too. Haven’t made any changes in configuration. After Thursday’s update everything was like it used to be. Dont know about you.

It is only temporary, trust me. It’s been happening for me for a month now and there hasn’t been any fix.

For a month now I’ve been having this issue and by looks of it I’m not the only one.

My average fps are 25-30 in most zones. My average FPS in HoT is 10(but that doesn’t matter here really). But sometimes my games decides to ’free’ze the fps at 9 or 12, randomly. I’ve been exchanging tickets with Support for a really long time now and I’ve done countless thing: diagnostics, drivers updates, GW2 Reapir(it crashes), 64.bit client, restarting my pc and the game several times, deleting local.dat, closing all other apps besides GW2, etc..

In the end nothing worked. The game is downright unplayable at 9FPS in most locations. It’s like theg ame has no CLUE what fps to use Some maps have 20, others have 9, others have 12 and the FPS won’t change no matter what graphics I’m choosing, so I can play in Queensdale in Low or Ultra that the fps will remain the same amount no matter what.. I have no clue what’s happening. This problem isn’t happening in any other game.

I’m using a 2011 Toshiba laptop, core i3, 4GB of RAM and Nvidia card 315M. I know it’s bad but I managed to survive with 25fps in most zones. When this problem happens, the ping also raises from an average 90 to 300 while the internet connection is doing a-okay. If this problem persists I’ll have no choice but to quit and I really love this game! The PVP areas are the only place where these problems don’t seem to be happening, but I don’t like PVP at all…

I have also done several posts about this in the past but they didn’t work.

I’m just curious because I only started GW2 in September or late August. Not sure if it was bigger before or not.

I’ve seen on countless sites that GW2 in on the top mostp layed MMOs out there, mostly in second or third place.

I also noticed a lot of the controversy caused by the expansion — more related about its content, features, perfomance and price.

I’m on a weak laptop, but I manage to run GW2 with average 25-30 fps in all of Tyria. Sadly my fps are below 10 in HoT, but I manage to play it if I select the lowest graphical setup available.

I don’t really like the new maps. They’re really hard and I feel lost. I prefer to play by myself and when I bring a friend we just rush it. I also have died a lot.

There are way too many threads complaining about GW2: HoT. Many people have left because of the expansion and another handful of players avoid the expansion like the plague. I also heard that the HoT sales were dreadful. Is this true?

WARNING: I’m still at the start of Heart of Thorns. All I’ve seen so far was the return of Rytlock! Please do not spoil me the story!

So in Guild Wars 2 vanilla we have the ‘dialogue cinematics’ as I like to call where we see your toon talking to a NPC with a pretty background.

In Living World Season 1 and Season 2 our characters are simply seen running of staring around, not really doing anything of impact in ‘in-game cutscenes’. The player does not have dialogue as well.

So far in HoT my character has spoken a lot, but with a text bubble floating above her head. I play on low settings and the cutscene where Rytlock returns is being playing at High graphics for some reason, which made me believe that those cutscenes are pre-rendered and not cinematics or ’in-game cutscenes ’.

Will we see our character talk, react and move during a cutscene? So far on the trailer I haven’t see anything to proove this.

I am surprised no one has answered this. I am no techy and I play on a Mac which also has horrible fps issues under certain circumstances. I turned my graphics options down to Best Performance and that solved most of the crashing issues. The graphics aren’t the best but it is better than that ‘wading through treacle’ feel and the inevitable crash. Maybe lowering your graphics will help even though it is not what you probably want to do.

You are on a PC though so you have a couple more options. My friend plays on a PC and she was also having trouble in HoT with severe lag. Her game was almost unplayable. Updating her graphics drivers helped her and so did switching over to the 64 bit version (if your computer can use it).

That’s exactly what I did. Did some tweaks on Nvidia panel and updated my drivers. Game’s still awful in HoT.

I own a 2011 Toshiba Laptop that has a 315M Nvidia card and 4GB of RAM. Yes, I know — it’s terrible for recent video games, but I still manage to get 25-35 fps on most locations and playable FPS on LW2 zones.

Today I started HoT. Spent my 18th B-Day cash back on September to buy the expansion. I was super excited. Once I stepped in, my fps dropped to 8 and my ping climbed to 300. The game is… unplayable. Sometimes it gets back to normal, going up to an average amount of 15 fps, but still s ofar the maps and ‘quests’ are not what I expected… I kept dying, over and over. I felt so lost. And I had to pick the worst class.. Thief..

Her face is unique but you can get some fairly close resemblances with character creator faces. What I did, is I got some closeup pictures of Scarlet’s face and then tried to get the character creator face to have the same shape—as close as possible. My suggestion is pay close attention to things like the shape and size of Scarlet’s eyes, nose, forehead, and jawline.

The idea of making Scarlet has been stuck on my mind for a long time now. Since I wasn’t able to experience the story when it came out I’d like to experience in a different way. I’m aware that her armor is only obtainable through the Gem Store and that her hair is an exclusive. What worries me the most is her.. face.

I believe that her face is unique, just like many other NPCs in the game, but does that mean that it’s impossible? Would anyone like to try to imitate Scarlet using one of the basic faces and share the sliders? Or any tips?

I always wanted to play Living World Season 1, but that is impossible for me. I’ll never explore the old Lion’s Arch and see it burn to flames or even face Scarlet or Tybalt’s illusion..

I did some research about LW1 but didn’t find enough. I only know Scarlet’s backstory well so far.

I was wondering if someone could explain to me some things? How did Scarlet become so powerful? How did the Queen know about the attack and how did Lord Faren survive that fall? How was Lion’s Arch attacked? Wasn’t there a way to defend it? How did Scarlet get wounded to the point that she couldn’t even stand? How long was she submitted to the asura’s experiments? How do you meet the gang(Kas, Jory, Rox, etc..)?

I did some research. It dates back to 2013… woah.. This is just sad. They removed animations and now every single Sylvari glows orange.. This is ridiculous..

It has come to my attention that many Sylvari NPCs are sharing the same glow colour: orange.

I thought Trahearne and Caithe’s glow was meant to be white? That’s the way they look in some pictures and also on their “icons”. They are glowing orange. But it’s not just them. Pretty much all NPCs are glowing orange, no matter who they are. I didn’t mind it at first but when I started to play my Necromancer more often I began to take notice.
This is only happening on NPCs and not on players.

Hm, did not know sylvari did not have a surname, might need to rename my revenant now….but onto your problem, you might try a name generator, or look into Celtic lore and see what you can find, that’s usually how I name my characters.

I tried that and also the Sylvari name generator. I really wish to stick with the name ‘Seana’ as it sounds good to my ear and also fits her, somehow. The name has been taken sadly.

I am a very picky person. Ever since I started playing Guild Wars 2 back in September I believe, I have remade my female elementalist Sylvari up to ten times already and I’m still unhappy with the results. I got her look right but I just can’t figure a name for her. I have tried so many combinations but they just… suck.

And now I discovered that Sylvari, according to the lore, do not have a surname. That made me think of a title like “Sarah the Unworthy”, something like that. I like the name ’ Seana’. I just can’t think of a good title to apply to her.

Seana is an elementalist. Her hair is red and she’s very curious and likes to explore. She was born on the Cycle of Dawn and her favorite element is fire.

I know this may seem dumb for some people, but it is not for me. I also roleplay and names are a very important aspect of a character’s story and personality.

You guys better forget. The animations won’t see their light of the day anytime soon.

I have the same problem too.

FPS get stuck at 10-12 on every zone, on all character regardless of the graphical setup. This problem is happening to more people each day and none of the solutions the Support has been giving me have worked. Seems like this is more serious than I thought.

I just hit 80. My very first level 80 and.. I’m really excited! Problem is that I have no idea what build to use. People keep giving me different opinions and ideas and I don’t really know. I want to be able to do damage, but still survival and not die with ease.

I’d really appreciate some help!

Support told me to update drivers. I will NOT do such thing, since the last time I updated resulted in some games turning outright UNPLAYABLE. Computer also lost a good chunk of perfomance after that.

Problem appeared out of nowhere. No one really knows a fix?

Exactly. Check to see if the vents are clear and the fan seems to be working. Also it’s not unheard of the heatsink popping off the GPU due to thermal cycling stress and cheap paste. Check the temps on both the CPU and GPU as well as their clockspeeds while running.

Fans are acting the way they always did. I actually had them cleaned af ew months ago. Computer isn’t overheating.

if you are playing without charger connected, might cause lack of FPS, or the game might be opening in inbuilt graphics card rather than nvidia, you can change that by doing the following:

-Right click desktop and go to “NVIDIA Control Panel”
-Choose “Manage 3D settings”
-in the part of “Preferred graphics processor” choose "high performance nvidia processor.

Fixed for a while. Problem got worse. 5 FPS now.

Something has happened. I have come to notice that my FPS have been dropping to 12. At first it was only on my main character, but then it spreaded to all of my toons for no reason.

If I change the graphical setup to Low or Ultra, FPS will remain the same: 10 – 12.

My laptop isn’t perfect and I used to get an average amount of 25, which was great. 12 FPS make the game utterly unplayable.

It goes away after a few resets or even after restarting my computer, but sooner or later it shows up again.

I’m using a Toshiba Core i3 laptop with a 315M Nvidia.

I don’t have a gaming laptop, but my perfomance on Medium quality was good. I’d get an average of 25 fps, being 35 the max.

But lately my FPS have been dropping to 12, stuck in there. I even changed the graphics to Low and Ultra, and they were still stuck at 12.

I’ve done research and I can’t find any kind of solution. My video card has been giving errors but it has been like that for a while and GW2 never suffered from it.

Lumpy, I am only interested in the sword.

So I recently got ‘Guild Wars Platinum Edition’ that comes with ‘Prophecies’ and’Eye of the North’.

The game so far reminds me of the old MMOs I used to play a while ago such as a 4Story, Metin2 and Cabal. The limitations don’t bother me. The soundtrack is gorgeous and the graphics didn’t age that bad. I love the variety of emotes and how populated some areas can get. Have to say that seeing the Charr as the villains was a new experience.

The main reason why I got GW1 was to be able to get the rewards from the Hall of Monuments. I’ve browsed and asked around and I don’t really know what I have to do. It’s still confusing to me. I already have 3 points, which was possible by linking the accounts. I was also told I could get a few more points without being Level 20; is that true?

What do I really have to do in order to gain more HoM points? I’m not an expert in GW1, so I don’t know most of it and I barely manage to play any game nowdays because of studies. I cannot get any of the other expansions too. Ever since I started GW2 I always wanted to get my hands on the fiery dragon sword. It’s my favorite sword and I really want to have it.

Deleted my ranger because I didn’t like her face and went to make a new one and baam. Can’t make one.

Recently I got interested in Guild Wars 1 and wanted to give it a try, but sadly I didn’t have the money to buy the Platinum Edition from the Official Website.

A friend of mine agreed that he would buy it for me as a late Christmas gift, but since he was from Australia I contacted Support to get some answers like “Is GW1 region-blocked” and “how to link GW1 account to GW2 account” and so on.

The answer I got was quite.. unsettling. It looked like it was more of a bot kittenponded and not a human being. Things about “giving away accounts”, “selling accounts” and “scams” were mentioned when I tried my best to explain that all my friend is going to do is buy me the game, or in this case, the serial key. He doesn’t even play Guild Wars 1 or even 2! He doesn’t appreciate MMOs and all he wants to do is offer me a game I can’t play.

Where is the harm in this? I don’t have a card.. nor paypal. Nothing like that.

Still no news…

I have contacted Support. A couple of Game Masters replied to me that this issue has not been ignored. I’m leaning to believe them but it has been over a year and this issue, when compared to many others, it’s not something really hard to work on. If they manage to remove with such ease, why can’t they put it back? Some NPCs still have it and now the Human Females have a new bug related to their left arm which switches position everytime an animation ends.

I never got to see this idle in-game and it’s really sweet.
