give us tags, guild halls based on guild performance, less pve contents, making sens of finished week matches cos it fills like u didn’t achive anything, make sense of server leader etc. this is how u’ll get more interest from mass pvp players and i’m not talking only about GW2 population. Most of the games that have huge mass pvp/sieges are based on the sens of doing it as taking a castle brings u some kind of bonuses to the guild posesing it.
EoTM is atm bedge/karma farming map and nothing else.

Imo: DS 5 (decent burst at the end and u wont interupt it with another skill) > DS 3 > focus 4 while in fear > dagger 3 > well and just finishing him of.

If you can get your wells to tick more than twice on an opponent, kudos. I’m a Powermancer, and I only use some Wells, and they’re defensive (Well of Power, namely), as I can do a better job of controlling its full effect.

But so far, everyone seems to expect Wells to be the only way to burst. Try this instead:

Dagger 3 > Focus 4 > Enter DS > DS 1 > DS 3 > DS 1

If you enter DS before Focus 4 hits, each bounce has a 50% crit chance, which can total around 3.5-4k damage when they are rooted and the only target nearby. You’re going to do some damage from Weakening Shroud, then DS 1 is going to often crit for 3 – 5k, depending on a lot of factors (enemy health , enemy toughness, gearing for power, gearing for critical damage, etc.). If you catch a Zerker player, you can easily do 10k with the initial combo up through DS 1. The next DS 1 after 50 health is going to proc Chill of Death if they are below 50% health (which they likely are), and if you have Close to Death, both your DS 1 and the Spinal Shivers are going to have a 50% chance to crit and 20% damage, meaning you can do about 7 – 8k on that DS.

That’s about 18k damage in the roughly 3 seconds following Dagger 3 landing, again very much depending on your gearing, traiting, and enemy gearing.

However, I wanted to point it out mainly because it has nothing to do with Wells.

Oh, and Focus 4 bouncing 3 times on an enemy gives them 12 vulnerability stacks. Forgot to factor that in.

There was always search for shortcuts and fastest way to do in PVE for more and best profit u can get in any MMO I have ever played.

Stack is smth any game have. Lets face it for buffing and making combos etc. stacking/grouping is part of group play. It makes easier buffing, better defence etc. Anyway its done in any game at pvp and pve. Group can’t function if u r scattered around. Not even at games with holly trinity. U wont get heals, u wont get buffs and ull be easy target.
In wvw aoe was already limited to 5 targets and dmg isn’t close to dmg of a single target. Counting buffs, debuffs and dmg. Finaly they made buffing party priority, so u don’t waste buffs on others. And even for that u need to stay close. For range, well at organized play buffs are called so u know when to rush to ur party to get needed buffs/heal.
AOE/stacking iare just needed form of play in multiple fights.

Too many tags would also be a problem. It gets annoying and would be distracting. I’d much more prefer commander tags that can turned on/off with the following options.

1. On for everyone to see
2. On for guild members to see
3. On for party members to see
4. On for squad members to see
5. Off

to many tags? only ur guild can see them, nobody else. tag would have only the one who leads ofc.

WvW isn’t just for your guild, not sure why people keep thinking it is.
Use voice comms it is really easy to roam together without needing a tag.

its not just my guild playing wvw o0 … running around is not a problem… when it come to fight, then the voice commands are not enough.

Since targeting leader in wvw is pain, especially in mass fights, we could get some kind of guild leader/officer tags similar to commander tag, but only guild members can see those tags. That would help wvw guilds alot.

terror build is imba, in spvp im using 30/20/0/0/20 cos of dhuumfire, will try the ultimate fear build 0/30/20/0/20.
u can turn stability into fear. that’s another big + cos many are using it.
gear should be, imo, rabid cos of prec. for better bleed apply. scepter/dagger and staff is what u’ll need.
minion build is one target build. i was lvling with berserkers aoe. so dagger/focus and staff/wells/ds even in wvw xp popping like crazy.

whats the point? when u r downed many times u need to change target just to get hits so u can heal. u see the animation and everything but no heal no hiting, just nothing so u need to switch target….

OP is talking about our conditions when we down a opponent. When your enemy is downed, all the conditions you had on him get wiped. He’s suggesting to have them continue into down state (them not being wiped on downed)

ok lets say we r getting blinded etc… but anyone tested dmg on fear? how many ticks does one get. cos its weird that it ticks 0 or 1 or 2 with same fear duration.

edit: ok im testing it again doom and ripers mark got same duration 1 3/4 s. Doom ticks 3x while ripers mark ticks 2×.

can’t remember any blindness or any berzerker. and what about the dmg ticks? usualy it was fixed at 2 if traited right, now u can get even only 1 or none.

OK i decided to play terror build in sPVP, build 30/20/0/0/20. Cos it was strange that sometimes fear didn’t land on enemy without stability. It could failed even 2 times in a row (when u get downed and when u use downed fear). Then i was thinking how much % fear boost u need to get 2 ticks of dmg on fear.
So i went testing on golems in sPVP
I used 30/20/0/0/20 and 30/30/0/10. Rune sets were lyssa and necromancer. So i was checking the ticks on golem. With both builds/rune sets i was getting 2 ticks BUT i was even getting only 1 tick or 0 ticks on fear apply.
Is this a normal state of fear or is it a bug? Can anyone test it?

Being at commander in zerg ull need heavy armor, which necros don’t have it means ull need to play more or less war or guard.
On second necro i play the “healermancer” in full clerics, if i want to run at commanders side. Conditions just dont cut it with heals. Is just to low dmg.
On main necro i play full zerker with traveler runes.
In zergs applying condition is pain in the kitten . U have insane condition removing and those -40% condition duration food that many heavy users are running around. So power is easier and makes better impact in short time then conditions, but it is more demanding on surviving.

0/10/30/30/0 is for zerg runs, while 0/10/0/30/30 works in smaller fights well with stability at every 5-7s smth like that. even 1vs1 or 1vs2 is manageable.

like many said there is no build which can defeat any other build u r fighting against.

then u realy suck at playing … even vs stun warrior, war just gets its tail betwean his legs and flee away with low hp. thiefs strugling and hoping u untill they realize theyll die and mostly they do. only mesmers are a strugle due to clone spam and invisibility.

well today i’ve spend many hours in wvw on “healermancer”, but on full cleric which worked better then condition (apothecary) at least at fast dmg given. So i got more drops.
so the fights were long in the lords room of SM and i was in the midle at lord for full fights. droping wells at my fit on lord and enemys while trying to heal my ally with staff nr2 and DS. surviving anything that came at me.
seeing heals in DS doing up to 5.8k heals to allys, and staff nr2 doing 351 heal per tick. And im in full exotic cleric gear.

this are my stats without healing power nurishment. with bloodlust buff lvl2 (50) and hardened sharpstone (5%/3%).

dont know was testing it this night in sPVP with 1.3k healing power, worked wonders. holding up to 4-5 enemys on me while defending our point. soon 2 of ours got to me and enemy just droped. noone from my team was dying and most of the time i had top score of the game with most kills

Warriors with warhorn give better weakness than necros.

withering precision gives 7s weakness on crit
signet of spite 14s weakness (reuse 1 min)
corrosive poison cloud 4s (reuse 40s)
enfeebling blood 14s (reuse 25s)

withering precission (trait) + daggers enfeebling blood = perma weakness

AOE dmg is high with power necro. Pop up wells, go DS, hit 5, fast 4…. pug mobs are dead. Even in WvW making 2-5k hits on zergs.

In GW 2 PvE there is no need for control, support, or anything else besides damage. You will find more roles than just DPS in SPvP or WvW. The Holy Trinity was supposed to be replaced by DPS/Control/Support , but the implementation went wrong somewhere. I think AI mechanics need to be far more advanced to make Control and Support type play styles viable. There is no need when you have AI as dumb as every other MMO that has the Holy Trinity.

Yeah. If I would have to chose, I’d pick DPS/HEAL/TANK over DPS/DPS/DPS.
Even modern FPS games like Battlefield 4 have roles.

BF4 is a shooter game when everyone can kill everyone. so dont mix it with mmo trinity games.

trinity is stupid.
hard contents are always made with specific party setup (healer, dps, support, tank) so lacking of 1 makes u fail almost any such designed content.
the horror of lfp or lf healer/tank/dps/suport makes u shout even for few hours while in that time many disconnect, leave party and the worst thing is ppl going afk. or “i will join if u have this or that class” kittennes.
solo scenario:
healers – mostly healing, slow lvl, slow grind, low income, etc.
support – lots of buffs, some heal. slow lvl, slow grind, low income, etc.
dps – no heal, some buffs, fast lvl, fast grind, ima profit, etc.
tank – imba survivebilty, some buffs, some heals, slow kill, mid income, etc.
any balance? no… any dynamic setups for ur chars? no…

ofc many have 2 or more dif chars with dif classes. who will play what? here u go the main issue in any clan/guild/party.

go power build with wells suffering and corruption (aoe ftw), signet of spite, elite (if/when u have it) golem. Use dag/foc + axe/foc or staff for more aoe control. 30/10/0/0/30 or 20/25/0/025 should be ur goal for traits.

gear is zerker all the time. works in wvw too. :P

So basicly guildgroups in wvw take a necro along now to ensure an escape for the group.
The mobility is so bad that when a zerg comes our commander uses us as a distraction with blind/chill on plague with cripple and then runs.

When retreating the call always comes out for “marks/wells behind” while leaping ahead with melee and blinks leaving necro’s to die and put the enemy into combat.

I am really glad with the necro’s new/old role in WvW providing cover “Agains our will” simply because we can’t escape.

It’s pretty discouraging to hear the words “disengage” and “cover behind” because you can simply not get away from leaps blinks or get out of combat etc..

So I would like to welcome everyone to the new necro meta in WvW…Dying.

PS: I would like to note that the necro is the class that stays in combt the longest .. even without minions/conditions or any enemy near i can still take up to 40 seconds to get out of combat. (1.20 min my personal record)
apparently the system is based on replenishing your hp and endurance to full.

Things i experienced:
As a necro i have to travel twice the distance than any other profession i play to get out of combat.
This then takes me 4 times as long and god forbid an enemy still has a condition of me on them.

I don’t know how this in/out of combat system works. but i know it doesn’t work to the benefit of a necromncer.

this of my secondary necro. it uses full carion. stats are not effected by food or weapon stacks.
the first one is with rabid sce/dag and second one is with carrion staff.

ah y with full stack/food cond dmg is 2.100 +

who are you to say that? im pretty sure the devs knew this, and they put it in the game knowing so. so the dev’s disagree with you. lol.

It’s a sign of horrible balance in a game when one trait can cancel out a whole professions build. This game isn’t suppose to be Rock, Paper, Scissors.

You can say whatever you want, but the dev’s certainly disagree. I agree that this is indeed sort of a rock-paper-scissors set-up, but fortunately its not throwing out entire professions. Run a direct dmg necro to kill d-skin eles, anything else an ele runs, run condi necro. The condi spamming necro will almost always win against a non d-skin ele. ( remember, either way, the ele isnt killing you. ) its a win-win for you. unless you call not killing something a lose. then we can argue about thieves, etc.

We already told you that Diamond skin screws over power necromancers too as we required conditions to get to you due to our terribly (intentionally designed) mobility…

though to be fair, power necro can break the 10% threshold easily

read his post to the end… we cant just catch eles on power build due to our max 600 range with axe, the dagger is even more useless. we are to slow for catching any of the classes.
by diamond skin we are forced to ditch condition builds and replace them with hybrid/power build which is just stupid and wrong.
necro is and was allways about conditions, due to kittennes of minion mechanics.

Don’t know if here is the right place to write but here I go. Having problems with ingame FPS limiter. Whenever i made limiter on 30 or 60 I get my FPS half downed. But every time I turn on chrome, limiter ingame starts to work as it should. Limiter at 30 runs with 29 fps and limiter at 60 runs with 59 fps.

this is my next test power build. what i have atm (trinket wise). traits are 10/10/20/0/30. its mainly for wvw zergs. aoe focused dmg, with high power, crit dmg, 50%+ of critical chance, some vit and toug.

It is all about ur play. these days roming solo is almost impossible because you get zerged from a small groups to map zerg. I’m running with full zerker staff/wells and dagger/focus (to pick up enemy outside the group). 30,10,0,0,30 is pretty much what i need while running with zerg. Just don’t rush headless in zerg and try to find best position for yourself outside of the mess and strike them from there but still being close enough to your group.
