Every so often, Anet drops another BLTC weapon set on us. Does anyone know the time interval between the newly released set and the next set? A month? Two?
Yeah it totally is.
Taunt is a joke, and it’s bad for this game.
Taunts have no place in the guild wars combat system. It is an overused, ill-conceived status that undermines the comprehensive design of combat. Such an effect is no greater than a telekenetic lockdown on an entity; this is not a good thing. This kind of effect results in an oversimplified and unexplainable phenomenon, specifically in this case a player losing total control over their various faculties. For anything less than total mind control, my character should not become a simpleton that has no cognitive ability.
That is pretty awesome lol.
Also, where in Tyria are you?
The concept of ‘Hard’ is pretty relative to the individual. I’m sorry that you’re not gonna feel as special when there are a few more people walking around with legendaries, but that’s your problem. Don’t wish for the hardship of others so that you can maintain a personal definition of person you get through the exclusivity of your digital objects.
As an aside to this post, present actual information when trying to make a point; don’t just loop-macro ’it’s too easy’ and ‘I said to make it harder’. Those statements hold no real meaning.
What’s worse, not being able to replay the content if you have missed it or not? They didn’t need to make a story journal, LS could have been a two week hit or miss, case closed. You are provided with the option to pay a minimal fee to gain access to something you missed.
That said, it’s not really worth it. Don’t flip about LS, most of them are half-baked.
What Lapis Lazuli said.
I’m pretty sure skillpoints will be separate from mastery points altogether.
Their player characters undergo a a forced race change to kittens.
Kidding aside, Arena Net is not about to alienate a section of their player-base, those who do not purchase the expansion will be fine.
Need more than 1 Specialization to make sense
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I agree. With only one option, its less specialization and more morphing or evolving. Literal definitions aside, while I appreciate an increase in diversity, only one option seems rather narrow/inhibiting to what specialization could actually be. Two seems to be the correct number regarding cost efficiency/game advancement ratios. Only one feels like filler.
I’m not entirely sure what you’re saying as well lol. You may want to clarify a bit more. I can appreciate your interest and the album is really nice, but I don’t really understand what your post is concerning :s
That would be fun and cool, but sort of insane lol. I mean double fire grabs? Think it’s a little too high on the power creep side.
Now I don’t know much about Cele kiting a necro or thief, but I can tell you a Cele ranger is totally possible, and pretty effective as a sustainable dps.
All other stats aside (no need explaining), rangers really do benefit from healing power. Rangers have some of the most powerful regeneration traits/passives in the game, the small number increases add up massively over time, and Cele fights are nothing but time. Also, the water combo fields combine well with ranger leaps and blasts, giving more use to the Healing Power of Cele specs.
The issue isn’t so much that the classes are shut out from Cele, it’s just certain classes can make better use of sustain using their innate kits.
Hooray Happy Wintersday! I get double the clicks today in Inventory Manager 2014.
That’s awesome lol. Cherish it
Log in rewards and a spool of silk weaving thread. About two minutes a day.
Whoa guys put the brakes on. Skill diversity is good, if anet would spend some time working on branching pre-existing weapons to other classes, that would be good. This isn’t a matter of gw2 becoming gw1, that’s not going to happen, shouldn’t happen, and won’t. The game will stand as it is, but adding skill diversity will be a net plus.
The fluidity of combat
The visuals
The community
Yeah it’s been removed from active duty. It’s a shame really. Not sure why they consider downsizing and consolidating a move towards efficiency, I just see a clusterkitten of topics.
I think it’s the 3rd heavy armor profession. No idea what it’s called, but I’m betting it will be a spellcaster of sorts.
Coming back to Earth, more likely it’s just another armor skin.
Ritualervish!
Canlona Confirmed.
… or would it be Elontha?
Retal is a nice check for players, I think it’s fine as it is.
Yeah, I’m all for this. Player input ( regarding how much input is required with scaling difficulties ) and reward output ( based on the magnitude of player input ) need some serious work. Current reward systems are just about across the board poor.
This proposal is a good start for that.
~_~
Thanks Trog. Back to mashing keys and facerolling when I jump without proccing dodge.
Wow, I’d probably start tearing up at the beauty of that scene, but I doubt gw2 would ever get so far.
@Op, what does your signature mean? Been wondering since last I saw it.
Pretty sure this is cut and dry, but I just wanted to get some input on it. Is binding the jump function and the dodge function to simultaneously execute on one key against the Terms of Service? It would be nice to have jump dodging not be a finger-mashing hassle.
I’m totally game for GS eles, increasing variation is good. If we can handle an fgs why can’t we handle a GS?
Gimme anything you got, sigils/traits/runes/combos/food/etc. I’m starting to pick up high level content on a thief and would like to be able to stack as much might as I can. Thanks in advance guys.
OP makes a good point. I’ve been playing guild wars since beta, but the first time I tried the bell choir (today) it was kind of alot to take in. I was able to deal with the left bar no probs, but the 6-0 notes ended up getting wild past the easy songs.
Lol, funny way to put it OP. But yeah anet, we don’t really want a bunch of these useless consumable boxes, e.g. the minor sigils one.
Some are meh, but the rewards for most aren’t bad. +1 anet, especially for fractals daily reward.
Good post. +1.

I’ll have to admit, I subbed back to WoW when Warlords of Draenor came out. I left during WOTLK and entered a Cata dungeon as DPS using Dungeon Finder.
The gear i’m wearing are Cata green gear obtained from questing in that Vashj area.10 mins into the run, some party members keep posting DPS recount scores on
how much I suck at DPS, how they are fricking carrying a noob thru this dungeon,
how I should go die of cancer and various other colourful obscenities regarding my mother despite the fact I told them I was a returning player and just wanted to experience Cata dungeons as I’ve never experienced them before.Out of 10 runs i’ve done, only 2 of them were friendly but thats because they’re also returning players like me. I then promptly deleted WoW off my computer and cancelled my subscription, and came back to GW2 and knowing that no matter how bad GW2 community is, it can NEVER be as toxic as WoW.
For those that want GW2 to implement a DPS meter, this is the sort of problem you will face. So please Anet, never allow DPS meter to be added.
This. DPS meter and inspection breed bad communities. Yay gw2 community.
Not gonna write a book, but I honestly like the shoulders. It’s one of the few outfits that takes a stance on armor that would be worn in battle. Not saying a toggle is bad, would be great, but I doubt anet has time/cares to do it though.
Bottom line, if your looking for something else, get something else.
2522 hours no precursor.
Thanks for the rigorous testing. I’ve first hand experienced those kind of numbers. Appreciate it.
I’m with this guy.
Nah this is sweet. Don’t take it so seriously, it’s not like they’re showering people in gems or precursors to log in, it’s just another little QoL that provides incentive to play. Alot of games have adopted this segment of modeling, it really doesn’t boost log in rates as much as you may think. People aren’t so quick to change their life for some material or karma.
On the topic of rewards for actually participating in things, come on, let’s get serious. People who afk bosses get better rewards than people on the front lines of a 50 FotM. Log in rewards are pretty insignificant if you want to start debating input for output.
All in all, my opinion is it’s a net plus.
Holy heck, I didn’t know about this update until now. +1 Anet.
Wrong. I will be completely satisfied if the expansion provides me with the following content (quality content):
- A comprehensive story line that I can complete start to finish at my own pace.
- New end game armors and weapons that are not Gem Store accessible.
- Dungeons.
- New skills and weapons.
- New PvP game mode types.
- Guild improvements with the addition of Guild Halls and Alliances.
- Additional WvW Maps and improvements.
The Guild Wars fan in me wants to see:
- Fissure of Woe
- Underworld
- Cantha
- Elona
- Much more of Tyria
Yeah Antara summed it up for me. Maybe you won’t be satisfied(@ OP), but it’s a little much to present the point that some phantom majority won’t be.
This meta ends with each and every one of you when you decide to start thinking dynamically for yourself. Each one of you has the potential to bring about a change in your gameplay experience. Zerker is a fine choice, it has it’s place, but defensive/supportive speccing isn’t invalid as an option. Roles aren’t dead. Start thinking.
Although the shield is a little ‘stares into your soul’, I remember having gingerbread weaponry from gw1 ^.^ http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Gingerbread_Focus

In concerns to differing viewpoints, I just wanted to say that I genuinely enjoyed playing Caithe. The whole ordeal reminded me alot of when we played as the historical figures in gw1’s additional story books (Togo, Ossa, etc.) Props on the LS Anet, it felt different than the usual routine, I appreciate that.
You evidently engage in similar conversation or instigate the outcomes in your so called flame wall. Ive pugged 200+ fractals (god knows how many dungeons) and havent encountered anything as such. You’d be surprised how much more smoothly things will go if you dont shout or boss others around.
Nah man, incinerator has just been getting cooler for me over time. That weapon is kick kitten .
Now I know this thread has been made before, but I’m short on time. Can we please just get a perma-stow function for rangers? I often run into situations where I’d really prefer to not have my pet with me, whether I be in combat mode or not.
My guild and I, Kodan World Order [Koda], decided to buy out the supply entirely when you see it hit it’s lowest value on spidy. Following the buy out, a party outside of our group decided to take advantage of the situation. As stated, we do use it for the screaming bug, but not to annoy people. We shout for Kodan rights and equality. Support the revolution.
